Cons: "They loose my luggage!!!!!!"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Flight delay led us to miss our connecting flight. Air Canada then lost our luggage for 6 days on our honeymoon!"
Pros: "Extremely helpful and accommodating! Thanks to all!"
Pros: "Not much."
Cons: "I thought Comcast service was bad. This was the worst. They cancelled my flight at the last minute, then escorted all passengers out of the gate, told us to go through customs then pick up our luggage. And said we had to call to arrange another flight, but the phones just left a message saying to call back in a few days. I was stranded with no phone, no hotel, and no flight home. Three days later, I still cannot get in touch with them."
Cons: "See above."
Pros: "Long wait for ticketing and at customs during transfer"
Pros: "The pilot seemed good and the staff on the plane were nice overall"
Cons: "Customer service from the group staff that checked us in was horrendous... (Lisa from Chicago ). We were not aware one of us needed eTA to fly through Canada and the agent was so belittling, rude and plane wrong with her information, that if it had not for our smarts, we might have not made it to our destination. I do not spend so much money to fly with an airline, whose agents treat it me like this! She really should be fired for her terrible manners and for giving customers wrong information..the second supervisor we talked to helped us, but the impression we got from the agent was so terrible, that it was hard to feel any good...no food on a flight during lunch hour, seems unfitting."
Cons: "My original flight was delayed by 3 hours, causing me to miss my connecting flight. Instead of arriving at 9:30 at my final destination I arrived at 1:30 am. Exhausted."
Pros: "I am sad to say I have little positive things to say about this experience."
Cons: "To begin, our flight was delayed an hour into Toronto. We asked the flight attendant about our connecting flight and they said they would find an answer. It ended up that we landed just as the flight was scheduled to leave. Why they could delay pur flight but would not hold another flight by 20 minutes is very questionable. Then we got to customer service, the rep told us that we could only get on the next flight going out tomorrow at the same time which meant 24 hours lost. Of our vacation- which hotels already booked and tours already booked. When I asked if there was anyway we could get in earlier the service person told me "I should be grateful because some people have had to wait multiple days to get to their destinations." When we finally did board the flight the next day we were not served any food, no snacks, and no drink for the entire overnight flight."
Cons: "There was a 90min delay on all flights going to toronto due to construction in toronto yet air canada (knowing this) boarded everyone on time anyway and made us sit on the runway for over an hour. They could have left us in the lounge until they were ready. Parents with babies do not appreciate such thoughtlessness. But hey, as far as air canada was concerned, they left the gate on time."
Pros: "Air Canada is my favorite airline to fly. The employees are always helpful, from checking in to the flight crew."
Cons: "I only wish Economy had more leg room."
Pros: "In the airport Chicago to Montreal I met a nice person he made my boarding pass to me. I love the service !!!!!! Said Thank you so much for your time to getting. Dory Clothilde"
Pros: "Crew"
Cons: "Boarding gate very small"
Pros: "Food and staff."
Cons: "Rushed to get connection flight at Vancouver. The official One hour 10 minutes connection time shrunk down to about 45 minutes, which is too short considering that most flights leave late from Chicago with an overly busy airport take-off schedule."
Pros: "I liked that we got a lot of food, and the movies were very good. Groups for boarding made sense and we boarded quickly"
Cons: "it was late and despite being 4.5 hours there were no free snacks or food. Only one toilet which we could never use bc of constant turbulence."
Pros: "The ever wonderful Air Canada cancelled a bunch of the flights that I had originally booked 2 months before I left and marooned me in the Toronto airport for an 8 hour layover on my way home. Unacceptable. No reason given, no apology made, nothing."
Cons: "Airline list baggage. Had to wait 3 hours to get luggage which was put it the next flight"
Cons: "They lost our luggage and we didn't get it all back until about 7 days after we arrived! 7 Days!!!! Customer service was horrible and we were traveling with a small child."
Cons: "We were in Toronto for an entire week without our bag and Air Canada showed no concern at all for our well being. I travelled with my one year old son, I needed supplies for him and Air Canada gave me dead end numbers to call, websites that didn't work and even hung up on us when we were trying to find out about our bags. They treated us terribly. I will never fly them again."
Pros: "When there were unforseen delays. They just said too bad, here is a phone number you can call. It then took 2 hours to try and get someone on the phone. Once I finally was talking with someone, they said it would cost $200 to rectify the problem. I then got put on hold. When they came back they said it would be over $2000 to get home. Talk about trying to cash is on people's hard situations. I ended up flying WestJet. They were amazing."
Pros: "Flight was smooth; love being able to track route. Got in early."
Cons: "Flight was delayed but overall trip was good"
Pros: "Smooth take off and landing."
Cons: "The numbers above the seating arrangement cause a lot of confusion for people and some almost want to argue for the window seat."
Cons: "My flight was changed and I wasn't informed - I cleerly checked my information beforehand but it would be nice if flights were to change by two hours, to know in advance so arrangements could be made"
Cons: "It was so great we didn't go. Got a refund you retards"
Cons: "Taxied to runway, but had to go back to terminal due to one seat not staying in upright position. Flight was about an hour late then."
Cons: "No personal tv on an international flight. The tickets were pretty expensive, I would have expected a personal tv instead of having to use my cell phone- especially with spotty wifi. Chairs weren't very comfortable and the food was so so."
Pros: "The crew was attentive."
Cons: "The head phone slot did not work. Then the TVs went out which did not matter because I could not listen to them anyway."
Pros: "When I had to reschedule they were very nice about making sure that I had the information I needed and they gave me great seats on the way to London."
Cons: "My flight was Delayed and I had to reschedule that was unfortunate."
Pros: "Less than 2 hours. The plane was a very quiet and smooth ride. It was NOT the plane we were scheduled to be on. Problem was not with the actual plane. It was a baggage problem. See below."
Cons: "When we checked our baggage in Washington, D.C., we were told we would not see our bags until we arrived in Hiroshima. That turned out to be misinformation. When we arrived in Tokyo, we were told we would have to pick up our bags at baggage claim and take them to our connecting flight area. We only had 1 3/4 hours between flights and it took us over an hour just to get our bags. By the time we got our bags and got to the drop off point for the connecting flight, it was way past the time when they stopped accepting bags for the connecting flight. This caused us a lot of stress. We are not seasoned travelers, we were traveling in a foreign country with a language we are unfamiliar with, and are elderly. We got into 2 wrong lines before a fellow traveler with the same situation helped us. She spoke Japanese and was able to put us in contact with someone who could help us. We were fortunate to get a flight an hour later to our final destination. Now we worry about the return trip having a similar problem."
Pros: "Staff was friendly"
Cons: "Uncomfortable seating"
Pros: "The crew was very friendly."
Cons: "The plane boarded early and the food was not good. The pasta was over cooked and essentially a mash."
Cons: "The engine was making an unusually loud whirring sound. Felt concerned that the plane was not fit to fly."
Cons: "Did not appreciate not having a movie screen. Renting an iPad for such an expensive flight is not good business."
Pros: "Provided a blanket and pillow, breakfast and dinner, had 3 bathrooms which was excellent for how many people on the plane. The flight attendants were excellent and very nice as well. I do love air canada for long flights."
Cons: "When i checked out the cabin after i bought the tickets i was under the impression that there would be screens on the plane to view movies for free. Instead they were offering for $10 to buy a ipad and more money for headphones to rent for the flight to watch movies. Kind of was a disappointment but i read a book which is always better to do anyway."
Pros: "The crew was very nice."
Cons: "It was like flying in 1995. They may want to consider buying more modern planes."
Pros: "This is awful flight coz I brought it from kayak"
Cons: "Flight delayed due to plane defect. Stayed in plane for more than 5 hours. Baggage lost. Never made it on time"
Pros: "the crew was great, food was alright, and overall I enjoyed my flight"
Cons: "the only entertainment was able to connect to apple products or a renatble iPad. I don't have an apple product so that was a bit annoying"
Pros: "The crew on the flight was nice, and the entertainment was good."
Cons: "Our first Air Canada flight was 2hr delayed due to mechanical error. After a 2hr delay, we finally flew for 1hr, had awful turbulence on the way down, and got to Toronto only to find out there was no customer service desk. We missed our connection with Luftanza and had to fly Air Canada again. First off, we couldn't get on another flight until the next morning. Then the desk never called the hotel they gave us the voucher for, so when we showed up at midnight the hotel was fully booked and had no room for us. We had to fly into Heathrow instead of Gatwick (final destination was Brighton for an international conference). We missed the entire first day of the meeting and had to rent a car for 65 pounds each to take us to Brighton from Heathrow, finally arriving at our hotel by midnight. The customer service was non-existent for Air Canada. We literally are going to have to email them."
Pros: "The flight was comfortable. Entertainment choices were varied and generous."
Cons: "o'Hare needs an upgrade."
Pros: "How quick it waz"
Cons: "How close the seats were"
Pros: "Friendly crew. Very smooth flight. Easy to navigate terminal."
Cons: "Nothing!"
Pros: "I liked the way they handled the rain delay. Although inconvenient, they were transparent with the process"
Cons: "The lack of certainty whether we were removed or stilling our connecting flight to delay."
Pros: "On board service Comfortable seating and space On time dep. & arrival"
Cons: "None"
Pros: "The crew was good!"
Cons: "I wished that there were opportunities given for beverages. I also would have liked more explanations on how to connect to the entertainment."
Pros: "The crew was friendly, there was entertainment available via the display on the back of the seat."
Cons: "The touchscreen display wasn't working properly, making it difficult to control things like volume. I would have preferred a display with physical buttons that took a bit more time than the weirdly synced touch screen"
Pros: "Good"
Cons: "Ok"
Pros: "Services"
Cons: "N/A"
Cons: "Ticketed for Air Canada, but it was a code share flight with United Airlines. The check in at United took over 15 minutes because my reservation was not recognized by the United online system. Luckily a United agent was able to work through my paperwork and get me checked in, with luggage, via Ottawa to London, Heathrow. However, at the boarding gate for my flight to Ottawa, my boarding pass was deemed invalid and it took another 15 minutes to issue a new boarding pass - with seating at the back of the bus. Was a frustrating/annoying process. Luckily I encountered two capable United employees who worked to resolve the issues."
Pros: "Flight was on time."
Pros: "Flight itself was fine. Major delay resulted in arriving one day later than planned, additional transportation cost, unplanned, and unplanned parking fees. No travel voucher was offered and when I asked was told it was not possible to issue a travel voucher."
Pros: "The flight was good..."
Cons: "No entertainment was available ... even do they announced ..."
Pros: "In flight entertainment. Was able to watch a movie for free."
Pros: "Flight on time and arrived early"
Pros: "That I finally got there a day later. I only had carry on bags, so they weren't lost."
Cons: "At OHare the gate agent sent me to the wrong gate and plane for my flight. I did not arrive Thursday at 8:30 pm as scheduled. Customer service put me on "red eye" to Dulles for the next flight to Charleston, without motel or meal vouchers. I couldnt sleep on the benches there due to asthma and diabetic issues. I arrived Friday 2:30 pm 17 hours late. Dulles overnight cleaning staff helped more than agents at OHare."
Pros: "Good crew"
Cons: "Shitty seats was very uncomfortable probably won't fly United just because of that... Delta has a lot more comfortable seats"
Pros: "Seats were nice and crew was friendly"
Cons: "It wasn't their fault but we did have to land at a different airport due to weather, but it showed that the crew took safety first"
Pros: "Excellent service and friendly staff"
Cons: "Absolutely not enough room to stretch your legs"
Cons: "Some inspector idiot decided that the exterior cover stickers weren't "up to code" literally half an hour before my flight, delaying us 2 hours. I got onto a different flight at the last second, then the same thing happened to that plane. Brilliant on their parts. I almost lost a job interview thanks to your people."
Pros: "same as above"
Cons: "same as above"
Pros: "Getting to Charlotte"
Cons: "Plane dirty. Windows dirty. Extremely bumpy. Seats clostraphobic. Sat too long leaving"
Pros: "The flight crew apologized and kept everyone informed."
Cons: "The plane was having mechanical problems. Once it was determined that the problem couldn't be fixed it took the airline quite some time to locate a new plane. They should have started working to identify a new plane sooner. Ended up arriving in Portland after 3 am."
Pros: "Overall fine"
Pros: "flight was excellent"
Cons: "Monitor kept running commercials and a show i couldn't hear very annoying"
Cons: "It would have been helpful if hanging a garment bag were available, which was the case on my return flights to DC on American Airlines."
Pros: "On point"
Cons: "Excellent"
Pros: "The seats were perfect, a lot of leg room. Comfortable side pillows on the seats"
Cons: "All the rest including the absence of food"
Cons: "Why should I have to pay to watch tv? I know you don't have to pay on Southwest, Virgin America or Jet Blue. Not sure that a very (and I mean VERY SMALL) snack can be considered food"
Pros: "On time, gates were close together"
Pros: "Comfy environment, not completely booked plane"
Cons: "The price for one little bottle of Rum, highway robbery I say."
Cons: "The plane was delayed."
Pros: "Newer plane. Very nice staff"
Cons: "Floor around seat was dirty. Lot of exaggerated braking. Suggested a new pilot perhaps?"
Pros: "Getting from point a to point b."
Cons: "Lack of good free snacks. Not getting free bag checked."
Cons: "Deverted to Newark to get to portland"
Pros: "Duration of flight was shorter than expected. Arrived at destination fifteen minutes early."
Cons: "No complaints."
Pros: "Good"
Cons: "Delayed because there was no crew to fly the plane switched gates 6 different time other than that everything was good"
Pros: "I was incredibly disappointed that my luggage got sent on an earlier flight to Memphis from Chicago. When I arrived in Memphis after 24 hours of flying, I found my luggage locked up and no representative to be found. Exhausted, frustrated, and seeing my luggage through the glass door and not being able to retreave it, I was incredibly frustrated with United. If you are going to send luggage on a different flight, be there and available to let travelers claim their luggage. My entire flight had gotten their bags from baggage claim before I even found someone available to open the door. I had to get an American Airlines representative to call them to the area twice before they arrived. If you are going to do this, offer the traveler to be on the earlier flight too. I was very disappointed, especially after my flight was delayed by 45 minutes on top of it."
Cons: "The poor customer service."
Cons: "Never made it so I can't rate it"
Pros: "Everything went smoothly"
Pros: "Crew was nice"
Cons: "Flight was delayed. Food was terrible"
Pros: "Large plane very comfortable"
Cons: "Nothing"
Pros: "Nice service, friendly crew."
Pros: "Kind staff and crew."
Cons: "As usual, there were extensive delays. This time it was due to a plane change initially because there was a maintenance issue. Then, we had to walk across the airport to board our other plane at a gate on the other side. Then we had to wait for the crew to arrive before we could board. It wasn't until we finally were able to board that they discovered a maintenance issue on the second plane, so we sat on the tarmac in stifling heat due to the engine not being on for an hour and a half while they worked on the plane. We didn't take off until about 11:40 central time and arrive home until 1:30 AM eastern time instead of the scheduled 11:38 PM arrival time."
Pros: "Staff was great"
Cons: "Second delay in a row"
Pros: "Pilot/Crew Communication was frequent and accurate"
Cons: "Flight was delayed 1.5 hrs due to an electronic problem after we left the gate."
Cons: "Delays both ways"
Pros: "On Time, polite smiling crew, happy passengers, overall excellent."
Pros: "Totally on time: excellent everything. This was a smooth flight both ways."
Pros: "Flight wasn't full"
Cons: "Flight was delayed an hour due to maintenance repairs."
Cons: "There should be some free tv"
Pros: "Crew was able to switch my seat so I was able to board early and have a seat where I could stretch my bad foot."
Cons: "On takeoff and landing it sounded like the plane was falling apart - literally. My confidence was shaken when it sounded like someone was sawing the belly of the plane. Very scary."
Pros: "Everything!"
Cons: "Many hours of delays from and to.."
Cons: "Had an extended overlay because of an overlap booking with our pilot. He was on another plane that wasn't due to come in until two hours later."
Pros: "Smoothly and on time"
Pros: "Willingness to check carry ons for sold out flights"
Cons: "Choosing of seats process. My traveling partner and I did not get to sit together on way home. Everyone was nice and got a free upgrade but would have been nice to sit together"
