She brought it back to the airport and refused to turn over the bag until the airport compensated her. (How this happened I have no idea because I stood right by the entrance of the baggage claim and never saw the bag come out). The customer refused to return the bag until the police became involved at which point she agreed to write a note confirmed she did not steal anything. The bag then needs to be sent to me in 2 days and I'll have to verify myself that indeed nothing was taken from the bag. I'm very concerned how this individual came to be in possession of my bag considering, again, I stood right at the entrance of the baggage claim conveyor belt from the time it started to when it ended. As a result, this experience really made me feel frustrated and violated."

I called to find out why (was it something controllable like mechanical where they will get us a new plane and I can expect to leave at the new scheduled time, or is it something unpredictable like weather?) they could not tell me why, they told me to ask when I got to the airport. At the ticket counter at the airport they told me the crew at the gate would know. I said, if they know, why don't you know? With technology, this shouldn't be a problem. Nobody was at the gate, so I had to wonder for hours. The seat was the most uncomfortable seat I have ever flown in, and I fly fairly often. There was no headrest, the seat didn't recline at all, and there really wasn't any padding on the chair. It was the equivalent of sitting in a plastic folding chair with a high back."

We said no and she looked at our bags and said we were fine. When we got to the gate however, I was stopped and told that I needed to pay for my bag. I asked to speak to a supervisor. I explained that their employee at check-in told us we did not need to pay for a carry-on. They still forced me to pay AND tried to charge me the gate price of $60 which I refused to pay. If they were going to charge me for a carry-on, they should have made that clear at the ticket counter where I would have paid $45. They were incredibly rude about it and it seemed like a scam they had planned out to try and get $15 more out of passengers."

Pros: "It was SUPPOSED to be a round trip. I arrived at LAS an hour before departure, and tried a kiosk. It advised me that I needed to see an agent. I get in line. 19 minutes later, I am informed that even though the plane is still at the gate, I missed the 45 minute deadline,and cannot board. The agent will not help me to book another flight, but gives me a paper with an 800 # on it. I am told that all of the next days flights are sold out. I managed to get a $287 flight t 6 am the next day, on a different carrier. When I arrived at Ohare for the return leg, I was charged $40 , for my carryon. When I expressed my displeasure at the charge, I was told that Frontier was a low cost operation and should not be surprised that I would pay more for extras. My response to that is "When did customer service become an extra, for which I should be charged?" I have found your corporation to be an overpriced low service airline, a soulless company intent on squeezing every cent out of each transaction, while providing even less than the bare minimum to the sucker who buys a ticket."

I seriously feared for my life and could not believe when we actually landed in one piece."

They maintained their professionalism despite the angry passengers. In fact, they were able to keep the mood lighter by smiling and throw small jokes once in a while. I want to commend these two employees who were there during this time. I wish I had their names but it was one male and one female. They were both black and both had long braided locks ☺ They were very accommodating."
Cons: "- I could see from my window seat that the ground crew had to unload ALL the luggages that were already on the plane and check them individually and manually, just to find the luggages of the unfortunate 41 passengers who cannot fly with us because of the limited seats of the new aircraft after the tail swap. It took them at least an hour and that obviously caused more delay for the plane to take off. - It was annoying to hear the foot steps of one of the crew members because whenever he walked by the aisle in the plane, he would literally stomp his feet which was very disturbing. The passengers were already exhausted and it was past midnighy, we all wanted to at least take a nap. - They should have at least offered free drinks like water or coffee inflight to compensate with the situation especially that it was already a red eye flight."

Hard plastic covered in vinyl with fancy stitching. Try sitting for 4 hours on that! Southwest is a much better choice."

When I went to check in it took 5 phone calls and 1 1/2 hours later. The reason for the call was the carry-on baggage charge which was astronomical and my question was is the $40 for round trip. Which it wasn't. Also, I was unaware of all the additional charges, seat, bottle water, soda etc. The biggest problem was no WI FI on board. I need to work while I was in the air for 4 hours. It took 5 phone calls because I couldn't understand the person trying to answrer my questions. I also couldn't check in because Frontier was not compatible with my IPad. Talk about getting frustrated. I had enough stress traveling for business. On the way back we were backing out to the runway heading to take off and the captain announced that he was turning around because a passage was vomiting due to overindulgence of alcohol. 45 minutes later finally backed out to take off. I barely made it to my bus. Thank god I can run fast. What a nightmare that didn't need to happen. It would have been way cheaper to fly out of Madison or Milwaukee. What really PMO was socking us traveler additional charge for so called peak time. WHO DO YOU THINK BAILED YOU OUT IN 2001? Your should be ashamed of yourselves."

My flight with Jetblue was a breeze and they even gave free snacks and drinks. DON'T TAKE SPIRIT!"

Cons: "There is a lengthly upsell process which is part of printing your boarding pass and checking luggage. - they charge of 'carry ons', so I paid for the shoulder bag for my computer along with two regular bags....both ways. (note this fee was nearly twice my ticket fee.) - When I arrived and the gate and staff said people make this mistake a lot, there was no way to get a refund other than a time limited credit. - Though this will change, they currently don't allow TSA Pre customers to use that status. They also dont have wifi, a huge business advantage. - When I arrived 30 minutes before the flight, they refused to issue a boarding pass, couldn't transfer me to a same day flight, or refund any portion of my unused tickets or prepaid checked bag fees. Note: I walked to the American Airline counter, bought a ticket, checked bags, and left 30 minutes later -- with more hospitable treatment and only slightlyl higher total cost. I like trying new business approaches -- but I've flown four of their flights and now have the resolution to avoid them at most any cost."
Cons: "I had to print out the ticket at a kiosk even though i checked in online and also the staff at the check in desk had terrible customer skills, did not smile and did not seem to want to help you. i was called ON my way to the airport (couple hours before departure) that my flight was canceled because of air traffic congestion and was told i could be switched to the next flight the next day which was not acceptable in my situation. I stood in a long line to get a refund and also the flight into Chicago via Spirit was unsettling especially because all staff over the intercom inside the airplane including the pilot did not have their lines memorized and kept stuttering because they messed up."

If you are going to actually benefit from low ticket prices you have to be traveling really light and maybe sure you pay for your luggage in advance online. Lines were long, service was slow, and they lost my luggage and never called me when it was finally found. Then they were saying i had to pay to get it delivered, until i proved that i hadn't checked in late to my flight (thankfully my kiosk check-in time was in their system). All around negative experience."

Cons: "The staff was unhelpful and rude. They gave me a ticket for the wrong city after I said twice "Portland MAINE" not Portland Oregon. Ended up getting the wrong one. This was after my original flight to Boston had been canceled after being delayed 3 times. I was supposed to leave Chicago for Boston at 2 pm. Didn't leave until 8:30pm. As usual I got to the airport two hours early so I spent 8 hours in the airport of the city I was trying to leave. Trying to get a new flight and eventually just got a refund for about half my original ticket and buying a new ticket on another airline. They were rude the whole time and unhelpful. But that's just airports. But the lady giving me the wrong ticket is ridiculous. This review is silly because eventually I got on a JetBlu flight anyway. I never ended up taking Spirit anyway. Cons: "The flight was delayed for multiple hours until it was cancelled because too many flights were trying to leave at once, basically had they not delayed it wouldn't have been an issue. My friend and I had to be home that night to pack and be ready for a trip to South Africa early Wednesday morning. So due to waiting for spirit to cancel we almost missed the last flights to Boston that night from other airlines and we're lucky enough to just make it onto one from the standby list."
Pros: "That they cancelled the flight and didn't rebook me until the next day"
Cons: "Delayed 2.5 hours and missed my bus to cape cod. Ruined my whole weekend."
Pros: "It was cheap and I got to where I needed to be on time."
Cons: "The bag check-in line at O'Hare was ABSURDLY long, and not because of anything the passengers were doing. There were several workers behind the counter but most of them were chatting rather than actually bothering to check their bags. My flight nearly closed their baggage check-in (45 minutes before departure) by the time I made it to the front."

Cons: "Got an email on the way to the airport notifying the flight was canceled. Notified only 2 1/2 hours before flight so not much to reschedule. Had to rebook on different airline."

Cons: "Spirit loves to tout "unbundled" fares, but a lot of that is just a way to hide the true cost of flying (versus paying upfront with a regular airline). We chose Spirit thinking we would save ~$100/ticket, but after bags and a decent seat we ended up in a plane with no TV's and poor check in (No Pre-Check capability?!?)"
Pros: "Boarding was very organized and on time, the flight experience had no problems, and I believe we even landed a little than before scheduled. All in all a very smooth travel experience."
Cons: "There isn't anything I had a problem with at all!"

Cons: "Delayed 3 hours. Didnt have a co pilot. Took forever to retrieve luggage and it was not clear where it was to be picked up. Overall a terrible expereince and eveytime i fly spirit this seems to happen. Will never fly with spirit again. Had a miserable day."
