Cons: "The following experience goes down in history as the worst ever because: we had a 3.5 year old child, and mom and dad seated directly in front of our row. The couple ignored the instructions to move seats forward during meals making it impossible to eat. They placed their luggage in the overhead compartment belonging to both rows, which wasn't a problem if they hadn't proceeded to open and close the compartment every 20 minutes. The 300 pd dad repeatedly stepped on my broken toe while reaching for his luggage, while rattling around and disturbing sleeping passengers. And, sadly the child repeatedly threw temper tantrums without any care or effort of intervention from the parents. In short, they terrorized the surrounding travellers. In contrast, my outbound flight, also had a family seated in the row directly in front. This family was the antithesis, considerate and respectful of their fellow passengers. Susan Laws"

Cons: "For an international flight, the plane was too small, cramped and uncomfortable. Food had to be purchased. No entertainment what so ever. Previous I took a VA flight to Perth from Melbourne. Same distance, bigger plane, entertainment on seat backs and a meal. This flight soured me."
Pros: "Superior comfort, class, and style. The crew was friendly and accommodating, the pilots kept you up to date with flight info and departure/arrival time (and kept the seat belt light off almost the entire trip), the food was delicious and offered throughout, and the entertainment was top notch. Seats were comfortable (we had bulkhead row Space+ and they were worth every cent for the international long haul from LAX-BNE and SYD-LAX) and everyone got a pillow/blanket. We got premium noise-canceling headsets, water, and a little care kit including an eye mask and earplugs and a pen to fill out your travel documents. The overhead bin space was huge and we got two free checked bags of luggage up to 50lbs each (I don't know of that's standard or not, or if it came with Space+ seats). SERIOUSLY the best airline."

Told me I could pay a penalty fee in excess of $450 to be out on another flight even though same flights to Amsterdam where currently $213 online. When I told them about the price of the tickets online, the response of the customer service agent was "yeah, sometimes the penalties are high". He didn't do anything to try to help. The entire Turkish airlines team at IST is the biggest joke for a customer service team I have ever encountered in any line of business. I have never met a group of "professionals" that are so unprofessional, rude, void of empathy, and overall customer service knowledge than the turkish airlines team at IST. I will never conduct business with Turkish Airlines again and will ensure all my friends, family, and colleagues try their best to avoid them too."

Just as a temporary thing while things become safer in Turkey. In other words, only stop in Turkey for people who is flying to that country. Connecting flights should stop somewhere else."

Cabin service included Turkish delight, hot towel, an amenities bag, hot dinner, hot breakfast, and snacks available thought the flight in the galley. Entertainment was on demand and included a wide selection. Seats were comfortable with reasonable distance between rows for coach (better than on many U.S. carriers). They have ample restrooms and they are split throughout the coach cabin, which made lines for the restroom almost nonexistent. Restroom amenities include hand lotion and refreshing spray - very nice."

Pros: "The Transit from TLV suppose to take 50 min. In the boarding passes that we received in TLV ut was written gate 201. The security at the Sabiha Airport was very slowly so we needed to rush to the gate. When we arrived the gate nothing was written about the flight to Amsterdam. So an airport worker checked for us and they changed the gate twice. So in the end 24 Israelis missed the flight to Amsterdam and we had to be transfer to Attaturk Airport and arrived in Amsrterdam in 5 hrs delay."

The most dissappointing and quite frankly ridiculous part was that after being on hold for 2 hours Iceland air refused to upgrade our seats to first class after such a huge inconvenience. We boarded the plane and the entire first class portion of the flight empty!! This makes zero sense to me. Iceland air should seriously reconsider their upgrade policies. They would rather have first class be empty than make their customers happy! We were even willing to pay extra."

But we were--and still are--so upset about the Chicago to Reykjavik flight that I will not fly again on Icelandic."

We arrived and ran to the gate- people were still boarding - gate was open and the agent said to us and others - oh you are the Chicago people - you have to go to customer service. We find out we have been "bumped" off the flight and placed on a new flight 2 hours later with a non direct flight - we have to go through Birmingham now. We are delayed again out of Iceland and get into Birmingham 1 hour late. We were never told that we had to reclaim our luggage. When we preceded to reclaim our luggage - there was NO luggage. and spent over an hours looking for it Icelandair never put our bags on the plane - and stated they would go on flights sometime the next day - we still have no word"

Cons: "Plane time delayed 30 minutes and on top of that once they opened the gate there were still long waits and a shuttle that needed to be taken to plane. Plane was boarded and took off later than expected and landed at final destination later than expected. Overall, both flights included, it was a very painful first experience using iceland air."

Cons: "The layover in Iceland was very tough for me. our the first leg of our journey has been delayed which is fine those things happen the airline had auto rebooked us as we were going to miss our second leg. However it wasn't until we attempted to board that new flight that we were told we needed new boarding passes as we had been rebooked again. We went and got our boarding passes and went to our gate to wait. We had been waiting there for maybe 15 minutes and became worried as no one standing around us was headed toward our destination and our flight was not on any television screens. I went back to the service desk and found out that there had been a gate change. We ran accross the airport and were nearly the last people in line for our next leg. Naturally our luggage did not follow us. We did receive our luggage a day later."

Cons: "The service was not good. No food was offered, everything was for purchase. Plus, only one beverage round on a 9 hour flight! We had to ask for water and it was given, but almost like well, OK, but don't bother me. Plus, our flight was delayed in Chicago, so we got to Iceland late. We made it to our connecting flight to Hamburg, but our luggage did not."

Cons: "My second flight has been cancelled and replaced by an other flight 8 hours later. I as really annoyed but still I wanted to go out-of the city and visit a little bit. But in the end this flight has been so late that I haven't been able to do it... + no food in the plane (even though I was supposed to arrive in Paris at 1pm and I finally got there at 10.30 pm...)"
Cons: "We didn't fly Icelandair, the flight was delayed more than 5 hours because there not enough passengers. Took an extra day to get to Brussels. Not impressed at all. I will be calling Icelandair for compensation."
Cons: "My flight from ORD to Reykjavik was delayed and so I missed my connection to Glasgow. I was rerouted to Amsterdam and got to Glasgow 7 hours after my original flight. Needless to say my luggage did not make it to Glasgow. I arrived in Glasgow on June 14th and did not receive my luggage until the evening of June 17th only because I went to the airport to pick it up myself instead of waiting for it to be delivered on the 18th. Four days of my 12 days of vacation were spent on the phone tracking down my luggage and worrying about whether I'd ever see it again."

Cons: "We checked in at O'hare 3 hours prior to the schedule departure and were told the flight was delayed 2 hours. We inquired because we would miss our connection in Iceland (only an hour layover). The check-in crew assured us that we would make time in the air and the connecting flight would wait for us. We did NOT make any time in the air and when we started landing (2 hours late), we checked with the on-board crew, who again, promised that the connection would wait. When we got off, they had NOT waited. We went to the desk and found out we had been rebooked for a flight 6 hours later through Frankfurt, which put us in Brussels 10 hours after our original arrival. We lost an entire day of hotel, tours, etc that Iceland air had no intention of compensating us for. Additionally, even though we had 6 hours in Iceland, our bags were NOT re-tagged, so we had no luggage after our very delayed arrival in Brussels.I will be placing a formal complaint with the EU customer protection agency for this. Additionally, there was no food on board (for a 6 hour transatlantic flight!), they weighed our carry-ons and made us check them in (and then lost it, leaving us with no clothes) and the seats were the most uncomfortable seats I've ever encountered on a plane. I would NOT recommend Iceland air to anyone and will never fly with them again. Awful experience of 24 hours of being lied to, deceived, and misinformed."

Pros: "TAP Airlines did not fly this route for day and probably hired NEOS Airlines to fly as charter or contract this route only? NEOS Airlines is an Italian airline probably comparable to Southwest Airlines in the USA. It's a cattle car airline with no frills. Crew was very professional, food was actually good. A sandwich that was of course Italian ingredients. Seats were comfortable for the 3 hour flight."

But I eventually got a seat. It was no relief thinking I would be left behind and my plans elude be delayed.TAP airlines had only worked the front desk check in, gate check in and don't know about the ramp service. So I can't give a full positive review of TAP Airlines"

Cons: "The hospitality of the airline crew is very poor as they are extremely rude to their customers. The planes I flew on were very out of date and not comfortable for international travel. I have flown on many airlines, but these planes were by far the worst. Cheap price, for a reason. The seats didn’t recline, the food was terrible, no options were given for food, and the movies were pre-picked. No one had a choice in what they watched. Very outdated. I had 2.5 hours to board my connecting flight and they caused me to miss it. As I waited in the customs line entering Lisbon, I asked a TAP representative if I’d have to get out of the line up and go right through as my flight left at 2:10 pm. They said you will make it, stay in line. I get near the front of the line 2 hours later... hundreds of people were in this line and they only had 2/10 customs agents available!!! I ask another representative how far my gate is since my flight leaves in 30 min and she told me “no you missed it. but don’t worry others will be missing it too”. So no I did not miss it, you caused me to miss it cause I already asked if I would and you people told me no. I run to the gate, which has now changed to the other end of the airport, so I run to that gate and it is 10 min before the flight is to take off. I ask the desk agent at the gate and he tells me the flight has already left. Others had missed it too due to the insane customs line up. So the plane left 20 mins earlier than scheduled with only half it’s passengers..... unbelievable!!! When I went to the service desk they did not show any sympathy or apologetic behaviours whatsoever."

The checkin lady was quite distraught about this, but charge they did. In our reservation there is no indication of what fare level (they have about five) has been purchased. Beware!"

Cons: "First flight was delayed by just a half an hour and we arrived in Portugal. We had a connecting flight to AMS with also TAP and had a two hour window to make the next flight with the same company (TAP). We were in line for passport and then security and talked to several TAP employees and they said we would be have time and wouldn't have a problem catching the second flight. Well, we got through the lines with 30 min before our next flight and they wouldn't let us on. Customer service and organization of the airline is really poor. The aircraft had minimal room and no entertainment. We got on our next flight five hours later and all they gave us was a $10 food voucher. So poorly managed."
Pros: "The ride was comfortable, and the crew was attentive and pleasant. I loved the fact that i had a 10 hour layover, and I could go out into the city and do some sight seeing. This is not to the Airlines credit per say, but it was super easy. I enjoyed getting off on the tarmac just 200 feet from the building, was a nice sunny day."

Cons: "The boarding process could not have been worse. Both legs were delayed because of bag issues. One leg a significant portion of us had to get off the flight because there was not room for all the luggage. They made me a check my carry on bag because it was over small mediocre weight requirement even though lots of people had heavier bags. Then they LOST that bad for 2 days and it was a nightmare getting it back in another country. The second leg, a person whose bag was on board was unaccounted for, so we were delayed again."

Cons: "My first flight from Madrid to Portugal was cancelled (at midnight) so I had to sleep in the terminal because the bus they provided to the hotel couldn't take all of us. Then my flight to New Jersey was delayed several hours making me miss my next flight to Denver (home) and I had to spend a 2nd night in the terminal. I never received and hotel/food/taxi vouchers. I will do everything to avoid flying with TAP Portugal ever again."

Cons: "The airline makes money by having very low weight allowances on carry-on and checked luggages. The staff at the check in desk act like they are surprised and symphatetic about the overages meanwhile they enforce the weight limits to the gram. Most deplorable of all is the fact that they have one person on staff at a special desk where one can go to pay for the newly discovered overages. This desk and the person assigned to it full time is the proof that the company expects this kind of result before hand. Where on most continental flights the weight limit is usually set at 31 kilograms for checked-in baggages TAP Portugal has a limit of 23kg. Where most companies have no weight limit or around 20kg on carry-on baggage they have 8kg. The overages in weight result in a flat fee of $100 per luggage, even if the luggage is just one kilogram over the allowed limit. The low ticket purchase price is in my opinion a deplorable marketing scheme aimed at getting people to buy their tickets and then be faced with extra charges when it turns out weight alloweances are set at domestic standards."

Pros: "Food was gross I couldn't even eat it. The soup came in a paste and the beef tasted expired, I saw a hair on my rice. Just awful, for the entire flight from Lisbon to Miami I didn't eat it was just disgusting. I've flown and never had such an awful experience with the food."

Pros: "I know the flight between Lisbon and Amsterdam is only 3 hours, but it could have been better. First, boarding was a mess because no one could hear announcements being made. Once on the plane, things only got worse. I'm a small person- only 5'4" and even I had no leg room! This was made worse when the seat in front reclined- very claustrophobic. There were also zero entertainment options."
