Pros: "On time and the staff were very good. The food was not great, buy good."
Cons: "Tried and was unable to choose my seat in advance for flight and thus had to wait until I arrived at the gate. Thus I was unable to sit with my daughter. Was promised seats could be chosen 24 hours in advance, but was not allowed to either on line or via phone."
Cons: "The travel has bien good"
Pros: "The help of the checking agent after we found out they canceled my daughter and mine fly coming back home without any explanation or email."
Pros: "The flight was quick and minimal turbulence. Crew was friendly"
Pros: "I didn’t enjoy this flight as everything seemed very unwelcoming here"
Cons: "Take care of passengers for drinks and others. Treat passengers with other languages nicely rather than in condescending way. I saw air hostess laughing among themselves and being little short with passengers who couldn’t communicate. The boarding process was very chaotic with no groups."
Cons: "Business Class Seating had 3 seats in middle Refurbished 747 had new seats, but still felt like an old plane with awkward layout"
Cons: "We left Frankfort very late, we had not even moved half an hour after we were supposed to have left. They apparently changed our flight plan to try to make up time, and flew faster; but the conclusion was we were supposed to arrive at 18:25 and didn't arrive until well after 19:00. Refund"
Cons: "The workers at Lufthansa can learn to communicate with one another so that people don’t miss their flights. First flight stayed on the runway for an hour with no explanation for the delay. This caused us to miss our connecting flight, which clearly could have been avoided. Pathetic professionalism."
Pros: "Crew was professional and competent. Seats were roomy and comfortable."
Cons: "I have a hard time sleeping in any seat that doesn’t fully recline."
Cons: "Entertainment didn’t work"
Cons: "Touch screens were not working well. Required multiple hard taps which disturbed the passenger in front."
Pros: "Worst ever"
Cons: "Poor service"
Cons: "There was not enough room for all the people’s cabin size luggage. They allowed people to get on board with big coats once they’re in the plain they take off the coats and place them up. Those coats take the same space as a small suitcase. I asked the fly attendants for assistance and they didn’t even pretend to care about the situation. I had to put my luggage under the seat for the entire flight, which ended up reducing the very reduced legroom. What this airline is trying to do is; to charge passengers twice for cabin size luggage. This has been my worst experiences with airlines. Lufthansa is definitely an airline to avoid."
Cons: "Need more water service"
Cons: "Upon arriving to Frankfurt airport (gate Z) from Boston, i had an hour to make it to gate A including passport control. Once I got to to gates A50-69 I was told that i had to turn back and go through a different passport control as the one close to gates A50-69 was too busy/full. So I turned back although i had no specific gate number where the passport control was. Once I got there, after 10 mins walking (around gate Z20) around and asking lufthansa staff I came across a rather long queue. At that point I only had 30 mins until my flight to Budapest was boarding. I knew I would not get through that queue on time and there was no assistance. So I decided to turn nack and go back to gates A50-69 assport cobtrol where luckily there was no queue at all. I do not understand why i was turned away by staff the very first time I got to that passport control and why there was no assistance by airport staff. Not happy at all about that."
Pros: "I like Lufthansa, I feel safe with them. Crew was nice, flight Chicago- Frankfurt very comftarble."
Cons: "My daughters tv didn’t worked it was 8 hours flight, food- beef had not eatable pieces of meat with vains only- we had choice of beef and pasta only no chicken."
Pros: "Flight was comfortable and quick."
Cons: "Flight was late causing me to miss flight to Chicago ORD. Missed flight left me waiting in Frankfurt over-night with-out a hotel, nor anyone from Lufthansa to assist with finding a sleeping cot. No airport/Lufthansa staff would offer to bring me a cot and all attempts by me to locate a cot were unsuccessful leaving me to walk from area to area to locate were the cots were stored. Ten Euro meal compensation was severely inadequate to cover dinner and breakfast. Very dissatisfied."
Pros: "Smooth fast flight with good service!"
Cons: "Late taking off which happens, but they tried to make up the time in the air as much as they could on a short flight,"
Cons: "Had to take a United flight to a different destination. No compensation for something I had no control over. When I am at an airport and have the opportunity to catch an earlier flight you have room on, you charge me. When this kind of thing happens - I pay with my time. Sucks"
Pros: "I can say with confidence; there was nothing that was good. Wait, the bathrooms were nice."
Cons: "The food was horrible, the staff was rude, my flight was delayed 4 and a half hours, the plane was so hot I felt like I was going to pass out, the seats are way too small and too close to each other."
Pros: "I usually love flying Lufthansa - my favourite by far. It usually out-classes emirates in the economy class, and they usually appreciate the destination (in this case, Saudi Arabia - serving beer and other alcohol regularly). This time, on LH 598, they were suboptimal. The service was OK but I felt judged for asking for beer throughout the flight. The food was bland and the speed of service was “ok” at best. There were some good things - Warsteiner is an amazing beverage. When the attendents did approach, they were generally nice. Additionally, the entertainment package was reasonably good. I usually have to decide between emirates, QA, and Lufthansa. I would still say Lufthansa, but a note to them: please don’t let it slip. You’re a solid carrier and you have great service."
Cons: "-speed of service -feeling judged for having beers -one rude flight attendant -suboptimal food"
Pros: "friendly, capable crew."
Cons: "Moved to accommodate bigger passengers. Moved to a seat where the movie list was shortened (crew said all the TVs hadn't been updated yet), seat didn't recline (last row), and it was bright and noisy (galley behind me)."
Cons: "My bag did not make the connection. Had to make a claim and was told it would be on the next flight arriving at 12:30 PM. I did not receive it until 10:00 PM at our lodging."
Pros: "There was a problem with baggage self checkin and it was hard to tell what to do"
Pros: "Boarding is efficient. Flight very smooth."
Cons: "great crew"
Pros: "Staff was very attentive and friendly. Great service and staff always had a smile on their faces."
Pros: "Convenient connections, fantastic airport, new aircraft with many large toilets in lower deck, super professional crew, really make a big difference when travelling 9 hours with 3 young kids."
Pros: "Short flight."
Cons: "Too many stairs, far away from the connection flight."
Cons: "Flight delayed by about an hour"
Pros: "All good"
Cons: "No bad"
Cons: "They had grabbed my carry-on luggage at the gate. I specifically told the gate agents that I put heirloom plates that used to belong to my mother in my carry-on. They assured me it would be handled properly. Well this promise turned out to be lie. The plates were broken. Even though they were wrapped. I am sad and angry. My carry-on was small and light. There was no reason that it should be singled out in the first place. Now what?"
Cons: "Our luggage was the last to arrive planeside from our late flight from Vancouver. We saw out luggage on the cart next to the plane, but apparently someone decided not to put it on the plane. We are now at least 24 hours without our luggage (we still don't have it) and cannot take advantage of our very expensive vacation. I must say, we will stop using Lufthansa and all partner airlines. This is completely unacceptable. I have received no communication at all from Lufthansa to explain why our bags were not loaded onto the plane, even though we saw them out the window, on the cart, next to the plane, before door closure. I am wondering if someone at Lufthansa decided it would be fun to ruin our vacation?"
Pros: "Good all around German quality"
Cons: "Lufthansa cancelled our return flight from Rome two days ahead of departure. Spent the whole day trying to contact them by calling from Rome on American phone which ended up costing over $100, eight times the.l hold was over an hour after which Lufthansa just hanged up. Here is German "reliability, responsibility, and organization" in action!"
Pros: "The crew was very kind and made their beat efforts accommodate our requests or help us with the issues we experienced in our seats. I was also pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of the food served during the flight."
Cons: "The entertainment system in my seat was not working. The crew was very helpful in terms of trying to fix the issue, but unfortunately the system was not fixed. The seats were difficult to push back. We tried several times to push back the seat for the passenger travelling with me, however the seat would not go as far as everyone else's. Unfortunately the flight was not as comfortable for her as it was for the rest of my party traveling with me. For such a large aircraft, Lufthansa should consider boarding economy by seat section. For example, starting with the persons who sit in the back first and then forward. It would speed up the boarding process and alleviate any lines in the aisles in the aircraft. Last but not least, my parties baggage was not transferred during our quick layover from Frankfurt to Krakow. Priority should be given to passengers whose final destination is not Frankfurt. We found out that our luggage's remained in Frankfurt when our names were called by baggage pickup in Krakow. The attendant who was helping us was very cold and treated us as of we were the ones who caused this inconvenience through his tone of voice, as well as his short comments. Lufthansa needs to work on their customer service in Krakow. We were rushed by the agent and it seemed like he wanted to get rid of us asap even though there was no line. We needed to understand where our baggage was and the options available to us, especially because our baggage was carrying important items for my sister in laws bacholerette party that night. We left not knowing when we were going to receive our luggage or if it would even make it to Krakow that night. We called the Number provided to us several times during the Day, however the line did not seem to be actively monitored by an individual. The website we were provided to track our luggage offered little to no insight on the whereabouts of our luggage. We finally found out that the luggage had arrived in Krakow and would be sent by carrier. The carrier arrived late in the evening, right before we were leaving for the bachelorette party thankfully. Better communication in these types of situations would greatly alleviate the stress one feels when their luggage is missing. Aldo surprised that the airline doesn't distribute a care package (I.e. toothbrush, paste, facewash) to passengers whose luggage was left behind."
Pros: "Crew were nice, helpful, and professional. Seat was comfortable."
Cons: "There was a lot of noise during all the flight; people were talking loudly and kids were crying all the time. The online entertainment system was not practical at all and it does not replace a 10" physical screen in the seat."
Pros: "same as above"
Cons: "same as above"
Cons: "As there was a long wait, the gate change did not come quickly for notification."
Pros: "Crew was beyond standard. Very nice and friendly and always accommodating."
Cons: "They ran out of vegetarian meals."
Pros: "I liked how I was taken advantage of, knowing it will never happen again"
Cons: "After having my ticket Inadvertently canceled didn't like the lack of support in purchasing a new ticket through Luftansia's customer service agents that deals with consolidators such as Kayak. In the end I was left not be able to buy a ticket for three days after being quoted a specific price and charged about triple the rate originally quoted it initially quoted I wasted valuable time into my vacation along with an amazing amount of stress ."
Pros: "Easy flight nice bottle of reisling"
Cons: "No on flight entertainment"
Cons: "coach seating sold as biz class"
Pros: "The flight was very good."
Pros: "The stewardess who served drinks and snacks were kind, fast, and efficient."
Cons: "The woman at the United Airline check in counter before we boarded the plane was rudely yelling at everybody to board the plane. She was very unpleasant, not welcoming, no smile, just plane yelling."
Pros: "it was much more comfortable on the second part of the flight"
Pros: "Consistency of service, even for economy class. On time departure. Early arrival, Teutonic punctuality. Well maintained aircraft. Super flight crew. Seemed friendlier than typical US carriers transcontinental service. Perhaps it was the free wine and beer, but seems as if everyone was relaxed and enjoyed the flight."
Cons: "Boarding was a little out of my normal sequence and the PA announcements were not so clear. All sorted it self out after a spell."
Pros: "Safe polite crew"
Cons: "No entertainment options on plane. Possibly due to 737maxs being taken out of service."
Pros: "The food was amazing"
Cons: "The seats could have more space"
Cons: "Seats and spaces seemed a tad smaller and less comfortable than other airlines"
Cons: "Don't remember this flight"
Pros: "The total experience from check-in to disembark was extraordinary. The crew were beyond eager to please and extremely responsive. The food was hot and very tasted. The beverage selection was finominal. The cleanliness of the plane and restrooms, although the handle for one of the restrooms fell off the door."
Pros: "We rode economy. This was on par with other airlines. Plane was clean, Crew was good. On time. Actually seemed that the seats had a bit more room than the American Airlines planes."
Cons: "Cannot talk to a human. Check in was at a Luftansa kiosk. If an attendant at the Frankfurt airport had not showed us, there was no obvious way to guess how to check a bag or get a boarding pass. So if you do not speak German fluently, ask an attendant as soon as you get to the check in area, and save yourself some walking and time."
Cons: "We had three hour delay due to thunderstorms."
Cons: "the staff constantly refused to help when they could and provided wrong information that caused me to miss my flight. i will never book through kayak because of this experience."
Pros: "Crew Flight delayed. Said 30. Actual 1 hour"
Cons: "Kayak sold me a one way usd 500 ticket and did not give me the option to add the luggage. Had to pay 60 eur in the airport. Is probably better to buy in the airline directly"
Cons: "We arrived late in Copenhagen and I had 20 minutes to catch my connecting flight. Even though I was checked-in for the Copenhagen to Athens flight it left without me. I was then transferred through Prague to get to Athens and again missed my connecting flight through there. Now I am stuck in Prague looking for a flight to Athens and most likely will miss my next flight from Athens to Karpathos and will again be stuck in Athens because there are no flights out to Karpathos until 19 of May, 3days from now. I was physically in the Copenhagen airport and could have made that flight, I feel that since I was already checked in they should have waited for me and allowed me to board. Now I will Be missing work!"
Pros: "On time good food excellent entertainment clean plane good crew"
Cons: "Our suitcase was damaged. Because we did not notice this until we got to our apartment we found that it is not possible to make acclaim, rather you just have to make a general complaint with a response according to SAS likely in 3 weeks. This process took over an hour of my time. The three tel numbers given to report damage are in Scandinavia and not much use when travelling within the UK."
Pros: "Flight left on time, plane was clean, the entertainment was good, and the food was good. The crew in this flight were polite and responsive."
Pros: "Boarding was quick and easy. Decent amount of overhead space. The pilot was friendly. USB ports for charging phones at the seat. Free bottle of water at your seat."
Cons: "No overhead fan. When flight got really hot, no way to moderate temperature. No choice of food at all, unless you are in economy plus. I don't remember the last time that a trans-Atlantic flight had at least a meant, or fish, or vegetarian dish. Usually, at least two or three dishes. On SAS, everything has to be ordered ahead of time. Some of the flight attendants were friendly, some not so friendly. No free alcoholic drinks even with dinner. Limited regular drinks - they are only served with food, aside from that you have to purchase even the non-alcoholic drinks. The food just wasn't very good, even compared to other airline food. Compared to other companies, relatively small selection of entertainment. I had considerably more choice on a domestic flight than on a 9 hr. international SAS flight. Storage pockets at the seat are pretty small."
Cons: "We will never fly SAS again, it was a horrible experience"
Pros: "Seats were very comfortable for economy. Crew was pleasant, attentive and efficient. Good seatback entertainment system."
Cons: "Once passengers do final passport check and enter secure gate area on this flight to the US, there’s no bathroom available. On the transatlantic flight, no complimentary glass of wine as on other airlines."
Pros: "Entertainment great, plane clean and newish. Breakfast way better than most competitors on transatlantic. Fruit salad, hot good sized rolls, yogurt, thick slices of ham n cheese so much better than BA’s downsized granola bar and mini muffin ( that they also serve in the upgraded class!"
Cons: "You really need to either have no legs or be 5’6” or less to fit in the seat without angling sideways. But alas SAS is no worse than the competitors in this department. Crew served meal 2.5 hours into 9 hour flight and about an hour after complimentary drink. My can of Coke was well gone when the mediocre dinner arrived and I got an earful for daring to ask for another one. It finally arrived after dinner with the creditcard machine etc. Yes, it was $4.00. I passed. As the coffee service was in full swing."
Pros: "SAS is a wonderful airline. I booked round trip with them. The plane was clean and comfortable and on time. Will fly with them again."
Cons: "flight was canceled and I have not heard back from SAS"
Pros: "price, water, easy boarding, in time"
Cons: "noise, no snacks"
Pros: "The gate agent at check-in was very helpful and knowledgeable. The entire ground crew did a good job. The crew was friendly and attentive. The plane was clean. The entertainment options were more than adequate. Bathrooms were well kept."
Cons: "I know you can't expect coach to be luxurious. But the space between seats in the airline industry in general have gotten ridiculously small. Words were exchanged between my wife and the lady (nothing extreme, but still) in the seat in front of her. When the lady leaned her seat back, my wife could barely watch her movie. All in all, I would definitely fly SAS again."
Pros: "Great takeoff and landing.Care ethics of the stuff was excellent. The quality of the food was very good and it was served with care."
Pros: "I was only charged half the price for my checked suitcase on the return flight - after I called SAS the day before departure."
Cons: "It doesn't really matter that other aspects of the flight were ok when I had to pay £60.00 for my one regular-size suitcase, and I don't find out until I am standing at the check-in counter. Why do travelers have to pay for checked luggage, at all?"
Cons: "I hated flying on easyjet, there was NOTHING easy about it. hidden fees, horrible service, and flight delays. I am never flying with them again"
Cons: "They take blankets away too soon so u freeze. Three hour delay and they only give u a voucher to buy a cup of coffee"
Pros: "Service on the plane was good. The airplane was on time."
Cons: "From the time we reached the airport until we got to the gate was 90 minutes. SAS systems for checking baggage by machine sucks. My wife's number on the booking reference didn't work in the machine Thus we waited in line for 20 minutes to get a boarding pass, but didn't get the baggage tags for her luggage. Another line. SAS overall sucks."
Pros: "Because of bad weather at the Faroe Islands, the aircraft made a missed approach (go-around) on the first attempt to land. The weather had improved sufficiently to make it in on the second attempt. The pilot and the cabin crew were excellent in keeping everyone informed, and telling us the status of the weather and the likelihood of getting in. The pilot was outstanding in his communication with the passengers and the cabin crew were great in re-assuring passengers after the missed approach. The flight crew handled the difficult weather conditions very well."
Cons: "The screaming children. All. The. Yelling. Kids. Also it was an inferno in there. if it's a packed house and customers are standing in the aisles, do us a favor and crank the AC."
Cons: "This flight never happened"
Pros: "Good experience. Nothing extra-ordinary. Only complimentary tea, water and coffee."
Cons: "Flight arrived on time."
Pros: "Everything went smoothly. Timely boarding in a very efficient and comfortable process. Really great food and accomodating staffing"
Pros: "Technically, since the first leg of my flight was changed I no longer flew this route, but it was through the same airlines and they fixed my issues no problem."
Pros: "The boarding was more organized than our other flights with this airline. Cabin crew was friendly."
Cons: "The food was not so good. It looked like they were really trying to cut corners with very small portions."
Pros: "The gate agent in Athens was helpful"
Cons: "We wanted to check bags and we needed to have our docs checked before we could get a boarding pass for the last leg of the flight. No one was available around the self service kiosks and the line to drop bags or get any service didn't move for 40 minutes. We finally went to the gate. In Copenhagen we had a delay and no one would even talk to us except to say " you are booked in tourist class so I can't help You". They do an excellent job of avoiding any contact with their customers. I fly almost every week for business and have never had this bad of service."
Pros: "Up and down. Crew was great!"
Cons: "My first flight was canceled. I'm still in Barcelona."
Pros: "Fish was excellent, flight attendant gave me free wifi after after I had an issue to pay w my card, I was let through express security in copenhagen, US border protection was fast and easy."
Cons: "I didn't get a window seat and it was a little bit tight."
Pros: "The food, the comfortable seats, boarding."
Cons: "The entertainment options, very few movies, limited kinds of music"
Pros: "Good entertainment, well organized, reasonably comfortable seats"
Cons: "Food wasn't very good, especially the snack"
Pros: "Quit a lot space for domestic flight"
Cons: "No drinks no food. We pay a lot of money for seat"
Pros: "Great crew. Clean plane. Good food. Entertainment kept us busy especially our 3 year old."
Cons: "I really enjoyed flying with SAS on my way to Stockholm but on my return flight back to DC it was dreadful. Boarding the plane in Stockholm was one of the most unorganized setups I've ever witnessed. Something so simple was made so complicated. Second, their seat recliners go so far back that you barely have space in front of you and can barely see your tv screen. On my previous flight I was in a row where there was no one in front of us so I didn't get to experience the recliner situation. Passengers on the plane were getting into fights. So bad."
Cons: "I didn't.t like your movies selection? Not very current. the food was awful. Not being able to book a seat until I arrived from Amsterdam."
Cons: "Crew unfriendly"
Pros: "The boarding process was smooth and the flight left and landed on time. The crew members were very pleasant. The comfort of the aircraft is mediocre, but that is all across the industry."
Cons: "This flight was ~3.5 hours and there was no 'free' food; it was all for purchase. SAS can learn from their competitors and realize that flights over 2 hours are different than short haul ones."
Pros: "One of the best we've experienced--very comfortable very spacious seats , The crew is very attentive and accommodating. We were fed three times and was offered beverages frequently."
Pros: "My seat did not recline."
Cons: "That the staff didn't seem to think it was a big deal."
Pros: "Entertainment system is very good - like 100 movies on demand even games available."
Cons: "Economy seats had little leg room; weren't offered a choice of entrees Make sure you call ahead if you need vegetarian meals."
Cons: "We arrived in Newark, but our luggage did not. It was lost for 2 days. In this day and age of technology, there is no excuse."
Cons: "only allow one 6 oz water, asked us to buy after it. it is ridiculous. senior attendant had bad attitude. the chairs are uncomfortable in this old aircraft."
Cons: "That I wasnt on the flight! Air traffic in Rome delayed us from leaving on time. Airline wouldnt comment until 15 minutes before landing if connecting flights would be held. They werent...we were 45 minutes late. Though my son and I were put up in a hotel it didnt compensate for our missed engagement in Chicago.1 full day gone!"
