Special 'travel corridors' exist for tourists visiting the Galapagos. Foreigners wishing to enter the islands must present a negative Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test for COVID-19, taken 96 hours prior to the date of departure to Ecuador. On arrival in Ecuador, tourists may be requested to take another PCR test, at their own expense. Tourists must also present a return flight and a safe passage document (‘salvoconducto’) issued by the Ministry of Tourism to be exempt from doing 14 days of self-isolation on the islands. The tour operators or hotels are responsible for arranging this safe passage document on behalf of tourists, given that visitors are required to have previous contracted travel and accommodation arrangements. The Galapagos Transit Control Card, will need to be filled out online at least 24 hours before the flight. On arrival in Ecuador you will be required to fill in a Health Status Declaration, including a local address.
Travelers must present a completed Health Form and a completed Immigration form as well as a negative PCR test for COVID-19 issued within 10 days before arrival. Travelers without a qualifying test result will be tested upon arrival.
Arriving travelers with a valid test certificate no longer need to enter quarantine unless they present symptoms of coronavirus. Those without one will be tested and sent to quarantine while awaiting results and until receiving a negative testing result. More information is available here.

I am still waiting for my $200 promised Boucher. This is my last time flying with AVIANCA. I am a frequent flyer and have made the decision to fly AA from now On... That plus another rude encounter with one of the flight attendants when I was getting into the plane made of my experience with Copa Airlines my first and only trip with them. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE."

We were finally able to get an aisle and window seat (not near each other) but both flights had poor to little entertainment, which I wouldn’t have expected on such long flights with American Airlines. Really was letdown. :("

Cons: "Gate was changed, then flight delayed, then maintenance was required on plane further delaying, then once arriving on an already warm plane, another flight made it to our gate first so we had to sit for over 30mins on an un-air conditioned pressure cooker. It was 80 degrees outside but much hotter inside the plane. Quite miserable. Overall it was over 2 1/2 hour delay."

I had to hand carry bags and i had to put it in front of me which is a very small space already, on top of that i had the window sit so i had no space to move. it was very uncomfortable, and flight was delayed. We sat there for an hour before taking off but i understand its due to the weather but it was my worst plane ride not worth 300dollars. I will not ride american airline again."

Cons: "Where to start? How about when I checked in at the counter, I asked the check in attendant to add my FF number on my ticket. They said they'll get right to it, handed me my tickets and sent me on my way. It never happened. Not a big deal, I can request the mileage post flight, but still something. Look at my tickets, that I had booked a week in advance and specifically reserved an aisle seat. My ticket says "Priority Verification," whatever that means. Turns out it means you don't have a seat, and you get the worst of the worst. So what seat is the worst? How about the middle seat in a row of 5. The middle in a row of 5, on a transoceanic flight... What kind of airlines has 5 in a row? The guy next to me spent $300 for his ticket, I spent $1200, for the same flight, and this is the kind of seat I get? The plane felt like it was straight out of the 90's, carpeted center walls, old seats, tiny tv's. Overall, a plane that felt had not been updated in decades. Took 20 minutes for a flight attendant to respond to the flight attendant sign. This wasn't during beverage or food service, just a normal time at cruising altitude. They also don't have eye masks. Every other transoceanic flight I've been on has them provided in the seat pocket, American Airlines doesn't even have them on the plane! Economy class has no USB or power outlets, the in flight entertainment is about a 5" screen in probably 260p resolution. Decent selection of movies, but you have to join the movie in progress or wait approx 10 minutes for the next movie to start. Legroom was okay unless you had one of the entertainment boxes in your way, then that takes up 30% of your space. Some of the tray tables do not have cup holders, on the top, bottom, or anywhere on it. Also my table was tilted, so every time I put a cup on it, it slid right off. Seems like a minor complaint, but eating dinner and fighting a sliding cup the whole time is a pain. Dinner and breakfast tasted decent, but you can tell American is cheap on the food. Most airlines will give something like a main course, a bread roll, fruit cup/salad, juice, small dessert. American gives you the main course and a fruit cup and that is all. Crappy utensils too. Overall, if I had paid maybe $200 for the flight, I wouldn't have any room to complain, but because American holds the government carrier contract for FY17, I had to fly on them at exorbitant cost, and would never recommend them to anyone."

Cons: "Being 3 1/2 hours late from Quito to Miami Being delayed from Denver to Houston and switch to United to coach seats, they did give us coupons though, but after the fact . Luggage arriving late from Denver, customer service didn't have a clue were the luggage was. As we were leaving to come back next day the luggage, we saw it in a carrousel, and pick it up. Republic flight from New Orleans it's not worth it the business class, very poor service ."

My teenage son was treated rudely and left to find for himself by the United counter in Dulles, even though he would have made the connection if they had adhered to the departure time. Staff refused to speak with me because, as they told my son, he was the passenger. Unbelievably poor service....and lack of care, professionalism and compassion."
