Cons: Reaching our connecting flight. The Bataan death march comes to mind—concourse 3 to 5, oh my! Having got through all the hurdles including incomprehensible up, down, up again down again escalator rides and security pat down for my wife we got to Concourse 5 where we learned our plane was leaving from C gates, but not which C gate. So we looked for directions to C gates. The only signage was for C gates 52 to 57. Common sense would lead one to believe that C gates 1 to 51 existed somewhere in the terminal; but no they do not and not many people are aware that they don’t. There has to be a better way. Perhaps before Brexit becomes a reality you could lean on Germany’s vaunted efficiency to help clean up this nightmare scenario.

Cons: Economy class is cramped, and it was a packed flight. Obviously, this is not a BA-only issue. It may have been me in my dehydrated state, but the cabin was also quite a bit warm.

I was told it was because the airplane was "very old" which whilst it may be true it is not something I particularly want to hear. Overall I see this as incapablity and very poor treatment of passengers.

Cons: i had a short connection through heathrow and as my incoming plane was delayed. i was told i had to get a boarding pass at heathrow for the next flight because they could not give me one when i first checked in. the line at the transit desk was very long and i ended up asking a security man to let me through and i was sent to another desk that was shorter. if i hadn't have asked and looked stressed i might have missed my flight.

Its clear that this aircraft has less leg space that then usual. And now you have to pay for all food and drink. £9 for a sandwich and G&T.
Pros: Crew was nice and food was decent. Flight left a little late but made up time in the air so arrived timely.
Cons: Boarding was chaotic - after having first class and preferred passengers board, it was a free for all for all other passengers, which doesn't make a lot of sense and caused a long line. Due to a malfunctioning piece of equipment, the plane was about 90 degrees during boarding and while waiting for takeoff, which was pretty miserable. Temperature was fine after takeoff. The plane itself was very old, seats were cramped, and the screens for movies/tv (and selections themselves) were very poor, which is disappointing for an 8 hour flight. There were no power hookups either, which my Aer Lingus flight a few days beforehand offered. Finally, the passenger in front of me put his seat back while the plane was boarding, making it a struggle to get into my seat while boarding and to get out of it to let others in my aisle out from time to time for the restroom. Can't really blame the last one on the airline, but it added to the misery.
Cons: I on line checked in but it only checked me in for this flight and not my next flight which meant I was on standby. Agent at check-in could not change it.

The flight attendants allowed a group of four passenger to stand during almost the entire flight in the aisles and in my row, making it difficult for people to get around them and didn't allow for an enjoyable flying experience.

Cons: My son was flying on United from Colorado Springs to Denver, then on to Seattle for Thanksgiving. He rushed through as quickly as he could, but the door to the place was closing and it left 10 minutes early. United recorded him as a 'No Show', and there policy now is to cancel the entire ticket is you miss any segment of a round trip ticket. Thus, his entire $900 was forfeited, he couldn't even pay a change fee to catch a later flight. I hate American, and now I hate United just as much. These airlines shills have been allowed to go out of business when they last filled for bankruptcy. We fly in quite a few international airlines, and outside of Alaska, Jet Blue and Delta, maybe Southwest, US carriers are absolutely bottom of the barrel and it's clear that their employees don't care whatsoever. Will never book again in United or American. I'll try Amtrak before either of those carriers.

But I had no choice this time.

They were unable to get me another connecting flight without me being held up and landing at the wee hours of the morning. It wasn't until I demanded an upgrade from United that I was placed on an American Airlines flight. This would never have been offered if I didn't go off on the representative and demand it. American Airlines saved the day! Never again will I fly United.

They had a wheelchair at the gate and helped push my disabled brother which was such a help for my elderly parents to make their connections. When I got my parents their tickets I was very apprehensive that it might be difficult making the connections but thanks to United's wonderful service their whole experience was fantastic. In the future I will always try to book United.
