After rescheduling first flight and getting to MIA at 2330, I learned my flight for 0455 was cancelled, which meant my bag that was en route was cancelled. Customer service via phone is completely useless (after a 30 minute wait time). They put me in a hotel and told me to get my bag in the morning when getting on my next flight to GUA. Got there @ 1000 and the avianca baggage office AND the ticketing counter aren’t staffed until 1130 am!!!!! Had to leave the country having no idea where my bag was, now stuck in GUA without it. I’m beyond exhausted and will NEVER AGAIN do business with avianca under ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. Terrible doesn’t begin to describe it."

Cons: "The flight was delayed out of JFK for some unknown reason (definitely not weather or missing plane since it was the first flight of the morning). Several passengers were told their connecting flight would definitely be held for them. A few of us asked for a guarantee because we would rather pay to rebook another flight than get stuck, and the gate attendents at JFK said it was certain we would make our flights. Once we got to El Salvador we were told they never intended to hold our flights. Avianca agents there told the handful of us going to Cancun we we're rebooked on Copa Airline and would have to go to Panama first, then Cancun, and arrive around 10 pm instead of 11 am. Other passengers were stuck in El Salvador for even longer. For our trouble, they only offered a $70 voucher for Avianca which is essentially useless to most of us since it has extensive restrictions. On top of this, the plane seating was small and the food was terrible. When we got switched to Copa there was at least slightly more leg room and better food. Do not fly Avianca!!"

This resulted in all the flights I was on being around 45 minutes to an hour late taking off. The cabin size was very small, it was hard to fit my stuff in the overhead compartment. not a lot of legroom and for a 6 foot one guy, this was a bit of an issue and I had some intense leg pain from my position. for the low-cost flight that I got I did have some seemingly out-of-the-way layovers and they were also quite long. would be great to see airplanes that The option to choose a bunk bed instead of a regular seat so that you could rest on redeye flights or just take naps in general."

I paid for my ticket which means I paid for my seat... I always travel with Aeroméxico for the reason as I love the customer care We receive and never have issues and I was pretty confused as to why I encountered this situation... I would really appreciate that Aeroméxicos online process works for both citizens and residents to make it easier on everyone.. but i also want to thank the staff because even though I was given bad news and awaiting to see if I would fly back on time as a stand by, they were able to get me back to my home without me missing work...I can’t enforce enough to please look into into you’re online check in to make it fair for all boarders to check in ... thank you"

I mentioned they were empty and he had no other suggestions. After an hour on the airport and on the phone with no progress I booked a trip with United and traveled home."

I ended up purchasing tickets on delta to get to Cancun. However I was under the impression that I would return with Aeromexico on the round trip ticket I had already bought.NO! according to Aeromexico even though you buy a round trip ticket if you fail to use 1 leg of the trip you loose both ways WHAT! Then they refused to allow me to speak to a supervisor it was hands down the worst experience I have ever had with an airline in the 30 yrs that I have been traveling internationally. It was not that good. The AC of the the airplane was off for 30 minutes before it took of. When asked for it to be turned on, the flight attendant was completely rude and said that I would have the option to get off the plane if I didn’t like the situation. I thought it was disrespectful and unnecessary for him to act like that, especially when there were passengers that were tired and without sleep after an international flight.

Cons: "Took a while to embark on time. The in flight usb on all of our seats wasn't functioning at all. At least the entertainment portions was working."
Pros: "Latam would not transfer 1 medium baggage from LATAM to Avianca at Lima"
Pros: "Crew was personable and proactive in settling families in and helping with luggage. Funny and helpful. Movie choices were great! We were early to gate."
Cons: "It was a very long check in process in Madrid, and 45 minutes more to gate. I think it may just be layout of Madrid airport, but I would suggest to anyone getting to airport a minimum of 3.5 hours before flight."
Cons: "Why go through security over again as a transit passenger? Especially, as Lima airport security appears poorly organized."

Cons: "Long time sitting in the plane without any updates from the crew. Very inefficient process in re-booking passengers and switching planes. Maintenance issues are are a trend at American Airlines."
Cons: "Tiny airplane. We had a delay of 2 hours."
Cons: "When we arrived at the Aspen airport, American Airlines was having a complete breakdown checking-in passengers for our flight. Some waited 2.5 hours to check a bag -- at an airport with very few flights and small planes. Clearly there was no management onsite – or that management was completely inept. AA agents on the ground simply did not prioritize passengers trying to make flights, nor did they ask flyers without urgent issues if they could step aside. Even worse, they spent 1.5 hours helping one customer – when that customer simply could have gone online or called reservations to get the appropriate assistance. Honestly, I personally stepped in to do what your personnel should have been trained to do: show empathy to calm passengers, ask one irate man to have some sympathy for those behind him in line, and finally, prioritize the people trying to check bags for the 2pm flight ahead of others. AA personnel only engaged the irate customer and threatened to call security when he pulled out his camera phone – it simply inflamed an already bad situation."

Pros: "Solo que a la 1:10pm le comunique al sobrecargo del vuelo Avianca #928 Lima _ salvador 1010 1: 20 pm hora local me di cuenta que se quedo el anillo de matrimonio en el paso de migración en la bandeja, el sobrecargo me di una instrucción que debía hablar con el encargado del Salvador la Srta Geaninia Gomez indica que como no es pérdida dentro del avión no se hacen responsables, lo que no estoy de acuerdo que me digan eso ya que es trayecto del vuelo que estaba realizando voy a tomar medidas para presentar un reclamo ya que es un valor sentimental ya que ni me dejaron ir a ver estando casi 40 minutos y sentí que no me ayudaron por los menos con una llamada en el departamento."

Cons: "Issue with something in the bathroom. I was on the plane watching them decide what to do for 20 minutes or more. Then I had to de-plane (just my row) while they cleaned. Then they decided it was too wet. Everyone deplaned. They changed planes and we didn't leave for hours. Seems like they could have found the issue and changed planes before we boarded."
Cons: "The united staff kept skipping the lines to drop off the bags. They didn't care when multiple people in line said they were skipping people. After paying once for my checked bag they tried to make me pay again. Asked to see in writing what they were trying to explain and the manager couldn't do it. They never gave me my ticket stub for my checked bag. So if it hadn't arrived I wouldn't have had anyway to find it. Very disappointing staff in SFO. Seemed aa if no one at SFO was happy to be working there or even worse didnt know what to do most of the time. VERY different than the DEN united experience."

Then the customer service agents - if you can call them that -- were downright pathetic, absolutely no effort to deal with the crowds of people who needed help. Finally had to call UA while in line and got booked on another connecting flight to a connecting flight :( and they freaking gave me the wrong gate!"

Cons: "Comfort was as issue, I was assigned more leg room at the emergency row and the wall would be pushing against me, forcing me to go towards my neighbors side. Also, I had initially picked the last row to sit on, which was stated on my itinerary but when I printed my boarding pass, I got assigned middle of plane - which I did not understand nor complain about."
