Pros: "We were in business and it was comfortable."
Cons: "When we bought business we thought it would be the same plane we flew to Quito on that had seats that went into beds. It wasn’t."
Cons: "First flight delayed, which meant I missed the second flight. What should have been a 6 hour trip became 22 hours. After rescheduling first flight and getting to MIA at 2330, I learned my flight for 0455 was cancelled, which meant my bag that was en route was cancelled. Customer service via phone is completely useless (after a 30 minute wait time). They put me in a hotel and told me to get my bag in the morning when getting on my next flight to GUA. Got there @ 1000 and the avianca baggage office AND the ticketing counter aren’t staffed until 1130 am!!!!! Had to leave the country having no idea where my bag was, now stuck in GUA without it. I’m beyond exhausted and will NEVER AGAIN do business with avianca under ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. Terrible doesn’t begin to describe it."
Pros: "The flight was on time. Family boarding was super helpful when traveling with a toddler. The plane was clean."
Cons: "The seat assigned to my daughter had a faulty life jacket and the crew wanted our family to split up. My daughter is 2 and didn't like that her dad was moving somewhere else as we were taking off. Since the crew member didn't want to ask the individual sitting next to me, I asked if she would mind moving so that our family could stay together."
Pros: "Boarding staff, inflight service were good. It was first time experience to travel by Avianca airline but was happy. Improve the food for vegetarians."
Cons: "Your check in staff at Lima airport was rude, & unpleasant"
Pros: "Checkin staff very helpful and quick boarding. Infligjt staff polite and professional"
Cons: "No much leg roon."
Pros: "Food. As usual with avianca was amazing."
Cons: "The staff. Completely unprofessional. Flying executive from SJO to JFK with the Costa Rican staff was amazing. This one compared, was deplorable."
Pros: "Christian the flight attendant was amazing!"
Cons: "The flight was delayed out of JFK for some unknown reason (definitely not weather or missing plane since it was the first flight of the morning). Several passengers were told their connecting flight would definitely be held for them. A few of us asked for a guarantee because we would rather pay to rebook another flight than get stuck, and the gate attendents at JFK said it was certain we would make our flights. Once we got to El Salvador we were told they never intended to hold our flights. Avianca agents there told the handful of us going to Cancun we we're rebooked on Copa Airline and would have to go to Panama first, then Cancun, and arrive around 10 pm instead of 11 am. Other passengers were stuck in El Salvador for even longer. For our trouble, they only offered a $70 voucher for Avianca which is essentially useless to most of us since it has extensive restrictions. On top of this, the plane seating was small and the food was terrible. When we got switched to Copa there was at least slightly more leg room and better food. Do not fly Avianca!!"
Pros: "The route, not much waiting time, the food."
Pros: "The flight schedule"
Cons: "None"
Cons: "Avianca workers at the El Salvador airport were awful, not only could they not speak english, but they were rude and unhelpful."
Pros: "Speed and punctual"
Pros: "Aside from the issues below, it was a good flight."
Cons: "I was seated by an emergency exit, so i couldn't tilt my seat back. Also, everyone who walked by hit my left arm back and forth. It was very annoying. The cabin felt a bit claustrophobic."
Pros: "The flight was great, the staff was excellent! Unlike US companies, Avianca offers food, drink, blankets, pillows and headphones. This was my first time flying with them and will try to fly with them as much as possible in the future. Keep it up!"
Pros: "all the crew was extremely friendly. The meals were delicious and my vegetarian request was honored. All the flights had meals even though some of them were strange times, and a good beverage selection was also offered. The in-flight entertainment was pretty top-notch. Great ticket price though, and somehow I lucked out and had some free seats next to me in some of the flights. very friendly staff and crew."
Cons: "all the flights that I was on didn't even start boarding until about 20 minutes before the plane was supposed to take off. This resulted in all the flights I was on being around 45 minutes to an hour late taking off. The cabin size was very small, it was hard to fit my stuff in the overhead compartment. not a lot of legroom and for a 6 foot one guy, this was a bit of an issue and I had some intense leg pain from my position. for the low-cost flight that I got I did have some seemingly out-of-the-way layovers and they were also quite long. would be great to see airplanes that The option to choose a bunk bed instead of a regular seat so that you could rest on redeye flights or just take naps in general."
Pros: "check in was a breeze. United had very long lines.....everywhere we went in Central America"
Cons: "they cancelled flight without giving us warning and we had to fly out following day on different airline"
Pros: "Food, crew"
Cons: "Audio system is old and did not play audio stations, just the video, which is displayed in a few small screens."
Pros: "My wife and I flew coach. As economy fliers we were given a meal, glass of wine, and coffee. The price of the flight and service were great."
Pros: "The flights were on time, with great service."
Cons: "Nothing!"
Pros: "Everything"
Cons: "To wait"
Pros: "The flight was cancelled at the last minute due to a broke plane in San Salvadore. However, the staff booked us on a flight with Copa Air. They were extreemly professional, kind and accomodating. Thank you very much. The Copa flight was outstanding service and comfort."
Pros: "The staff was extremely nice and made conversation with us. Everything was prompt. Planes were clean and comfortable. Couldn't ask for anything more! Avianca is one of my favorite airlines!"
Cons: "Loved everything!"
Cons: "El desayuno estaba un poco frio"
Cons: "My flight from El Salvador to Bogota was cancalled, so I waited at airport in El Salvador 7 1/2 hours and on the return I got to the counter at 4.05am for a 5.00am flight, with just check in luggage and they would not let me check in, so I had to stay in Bogota an extra night and pay a change, fee so basically everything was very poor"
Pros: "Staff was nice. Relatively comfortable, good movie selection"
Cons: "I'm vegetarian, only ham and cheese sandwich"
Cons: "Transportation to get the flight was not comfortable since we needed to take a bus and there were not enough seats. Also, some of the flight attends were not friendly and did not ensure that all of the passengers had a blanket"
Pros: "Going from Washington DC to Lima, Peru with stop in San Salvador is great because break the trip in half and San Salvador is a small airport. Going to Peru my two planes were very comfortable and with good entreatment"
Cons: "No blankets on my way back"
Pros: "Good food and drinks and great movie options. Smooth flight."
Cons: "Bring your own headphones. While it's pretty awesome that an airline gives away free headphones, they are junk and distort even when just trying to get the volume loud enough to overcome the jet noise."
Cons: "The flight attendant didn't give me any solution to the problem I has with my seat"
Cons: "How is it possible that in a 5 hours flight I was not able to watch tv?!!!! I asked help three times to the flight attendants and they didn't even come to my seat to check my problem, I had to walk to where they were three times to ask them for help. They only said " we are going to reboot the tv" that didn't work at all. I was completely miserable and bored. They didn't help me; they never come to my place to check if the problem was solved or not."

in plane service was very poor, never got asked if I needed anything else. Also, I miss the days when during the boarding the gate agents would actually acknowledge your presence not only stand next to the machine.

I had an expired ticket for a free drink from the team. it expired during the pandemic. I purchased a drink when i think it would have been really sweet for them to honor it. Between trying to be safe and travel when i felt comfortable, I missed the deadline. It would be different it we hadn't been locked down all year. Just felt like if there was a time to be nice that was it and the stewardess mussed it. All good.

Pros: "Most of the crew was great with the exception of curbside check-in in Denver."
Cons: "Curbside needs to stop chasing cash tips and do their jobs. If they focused on that tips would be easy to come by. The curbside attendant that took my bag didn’t even bother to check my id. He asked me my name and asked where my destination was. I told him Cincinnati as a layover then LaGuardia where he said that was wrong. He then proceeded to print a boarding pass that wasn’t mine and load my bag into the conveyor. Not 5 mins go by when I realize what happened I wound up having to go to special services to rectify the situation. Which ultimately consisted of me waiting another hour in LaGuardia to get my bag. Please delta have these curbside handlers actually want to do their job and stop chasing cash tips."
Pros: "Crew was very pleasant. Boarding and deplaning was smooth and easy!"
Pros: "Crew was friendly and efficient."
Pros: "Availability of WiFi, a charging port and media options puts Delta a step (or two) ahead of their competitors. The professionalism of the crew, as well as the complimentary food/beverage options are also excellent."
Cons: "Not the airlines fault, but my 6’4” frame doesn’t fit very well in a middle main cabin seat."
Pros: "We arrived eventually."
Cons: "Flight delayed three hours. Payed extra for an earlier flight. Very disappointing."
Cons: "Delayed 4 hours"
Pros: "Flight left on time and landed on time"
Pros: "Flight was delayed for more than 3 hours."
Cons: "Could have left on or close to schedule."
Pros: "The service, on time, employees very nice."
Pros: "Comfort + was nice."
Cons: "Had a middle seat between two other men. I was given my seat by the gate. It would have been nice if they placed my more strategically. That might be asking too much but seems reasonable."
Cons: "Choice of healthier snack"
Cons: "Have rhe right to carry at least one luggage per person at no cost. Besides carry on and personal item. Tickets prices and luggage costs are extremely expensive."
Pros: "Good airframe."
Cons: "3+ hours delayed; didn't arrive until 3AM."
Cons: "Seats are so small. Flight was delayed."
Cons: "Denver airport is far too large for there to be such a small security check therefore it took forever and I missed the flight. Delta tried to charge me $1000 for another ticket to Albany and I decided to fly with another airline for half the price instead"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "I bought a ticket thinking i bought it through kayak but I actually bought a ticket through a third party in India. Where no one spoke good English. I called the agency to find out if I needed a Visa for my visit to Australia and the told me no. So when I showed up to the airport I didn’t have the right documents and I MISSED MY FLIGHT. Also the wouldn’t just change my flight and charge me the change flight fee. They cancelled my flight entirely and made me buy a whole new ticket!!! Worst flight experience I’ve ever had and this is not my first time flying to Australia or out of country."
Pros: "Friendly cabin crew. Early am departure. On board entertainment is a great selection of movies/TV etc. Clean aircraft. Comfortable seating. Great flight."
Cons: "Had to wait for the crew from another flight before boarding p"
Cons: "The seats were in bad condition, I was surprised as Delta usually has well cared for interior and exterior airplanes."
Pros: "The flight attendants were all helpful and pleasant. The seats were comfortable. We were provided with plenty of liquids."
Cons: "The landing was pretty tough and we took off almost a half hour late."
Pros: "Very friendly gate attendants helped us fix the problem that our frequent flyer number had not been entered on the boarding pass. This may have been because of the booking co., Just Fly."
Cons: "Would have liked more seat options, like when I book on Delta's website. Didn't have enough advance warning."
Pros: "Food and entertainment was good"
Cons: "The bathroom I used was disgusting."
Pros: "Check in Denver super helpful Gate staff hustled to turn around flight Flight crew excellent"
Cons: "Flight delayed, almost missed international connections"
Pros: "Anything from free WiFi, entertainment, leg room, commentary drinks and snacks. Great service!"
Pros: "The staff was polite and snacks were good (healthy options)."
Cons: "Nothing was terrible, but due to the short flights I assume they don’t worry about having planes with entertainment available."
Pros: "Short flight"
Cons: "In SLC they boarded by row numbers and not zones. Weird..."
Cons: "Engine problems-2 hour delay"
Pros: "Good flight crew"
Cons: "Delayed due to mechanical issues. For 3 hours. No offers for free drink or wi fi. When we finally land we were on the runway for half hour."
Pros: "Great people and crew early arrival nice passengers"
Cons: "Poor Delta DEN counter agent experience. Name on ticket didnt match Delta profile name nor TSA [rofile name. Delta counter agent would do nothing, except blame TSA. Would not check ticket name vs profile name. Happened two consecutive flights. Flight tomorrow morning has no TSA Pre clearance on boarding pass. This will be three consecutive flights. Also seated me next to a person who needed 2 seats to himself. Please never seat me next to a passenger who cannot fit in their own seat. I am switching to SWA."
Pros: "On two of the legs of the trip they notice I was a tall person with long legs and upgraded me to seats with more leg room!! I didn't even ask. Thank you."
Cons: "On the way back there were open seats with extra leg room and I asked the gate attendant if it was possible to switch my seat to one with more room and they said they only could if I paid extra."
Pros: "Crew was nice."
Cons: "The Entertainment sucked. Again I was sitting in comfort class which in theory should buy you more comfort and better entertainment. There was a ton of movies from the 90s and the same movie selection from about 6 months ago when I traveled with them. Also, what is going on, with having to use your own cell phone to watch movies on the plane? Whatever happened to the screens in the backseat of the front seat? I ended up with neck pain from trying to watch a movie on my phone. Delta has become very cheap. It is going into some serious decline."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Let me just say that I’m a loyal Delta costumer until now. The flight attendants (the two women) were an absolute nightmare. They were so rude and condescending. I was carrying with me my service dog and a bag containing an expensive medication (it couldn’t go on the top bin). Despite being in the comfort class and having the seat next to me empty, we were tight for space. The flight attendants were unreasonable and forced me to put my medication on the top bin despite the fact I had told them it was extremely delicate, that it that to go upright, and that I needed to keep it with me. They did not listen and pressured me into giving them the medication. The medication could have easily gotten broken. Thankfully it didn’t but this is no way to treat a human being."
Pros: "Entertainment system is awesome and similar to what I usually see only on international flights."
Pros: "Crew was the best!"
Cons: "I really dislike the snack boxes. Snacks need to be more like a small sandwich or grapes, cheese and nuts. Not all that packaged stuff."
Pros: "Staff pretty friendly. Plane clean. Ran on time. Good communication. Even though shorter flight, had movie entertainment option. Before flight we had a flat tire so missed our flight. Agent extremely helpful getting us on another flight."
Pros: "Staff was courteous, flight uneventful but that's a good thing!"
Cons: "Long flight, difficult to sit that long (3 hrs plus)"
Pros: "It's a nice, comfortable flight with plenty of entertainment options."
Cons: "The coffee on board is lousy, but I'm not sure that is much of a surprise."
Cons: "I fly Delta quite often, and am usually pleased with their service, but the morning of June 23 was terrible. I got to the airport in Denver at 5:30 am for a 7:30 am flight to Atlanta, and the line to check a bag was about 40 people long. I waited 55minutes to check my bag, as they kept moving the ski priority people, and people in danger of missing their flight, to the head of the line. There were obviously not enough Delta workers on staff to process all the flights at that time."
Pros: "The moviea"
Cons: "The time of night"
Pros: "The flight attendants were so nice and accomadating. Even came by to refill our waters! I've never been on a flight with such friendly flight attendants!"
Pros: "Reassignment was pretty easy."
Cons: "No accommodations were available for overnight stay due to delayed flight."
Pros: "Upgraded to first class"
Cons: "No entertainment system, no power outlet...for first class this is disgraceful"
Cons: "I drove 5 hours to get to the airport and unfortunately ended up delayed because of traffic and slow shuttles from parking. I arrived 1 hour before the flight, but security was so slow I didn't get to the gat until 10 minutes before arrival. There were no gate agents present and despite banging on the gateway door and other Delta agents at the adjacent gate, no one helped me. I can only surmise that they had already given away our seats, which were award tickets, GAINED BY BEING A LOYAL DELTA CUSTOMER. The gate agents were unapologetic and useless at rebooking, and I bought a ticket from Southwest instead. As i was trying to get to my sister's wedding, and repeatedly told the agents this, their behavior was particularly abominable. DELTA, YOU'VE LOST A LOYAL CUSTOMER."
Cons: "Seats too close - I'm not that tall and my knees were jammed against the seat in front of me."
Pros: "Was able to get on a flight after ours was cancelled. Delta was in scramble mode and their gate staff worked hard ot deal with a frustrated flying populaiton"
Cons: "After paying for first class round trip airfare, we were given seats in coach in the rear of the plane, in spite of empty seats (plenty of them) in first class and economy comfort."
Pros: "Plane was clean and staff were friendly"
Cons: "The snack options were quite average"
Pros: "Flight attendants were lovely"
Cons: "Nothing"
Cons: "If we were not forced to pass through Costumes and take our Luggages and go through security again, although we were in transit for couple of hours only. I lost my pierce and no one helped"
Cons: "Food"
Pros: "Crew service was excellent"
Pros: "Amazing crew"
Cons: "Boarding"
Cons: "Make sure the customers have the right gate in the boarding pass, I almost missed the plane because of that thanks to a Copa'employee who gave me the wrong gate"
Pros: "Crew's service good, punctuality excelent"
Cons: "No Entertainment at all"
Cons: "Everything went very smooth and on time"
Pros: "Puntual Airline"
Cons: "Boarding"
Pros: "It's nice to fly a real airline. Where a bag is included, overhead bins fit standard carry ons, the seats recline, if even just a short distance."
Cons: "That omelette at 3:30 in the morning was horrible. Even the sausage link tasted odd. Not bad if the only complaint is airline food though."
Pros: "Everything was great"
Pros: "Free alcoholic beverage."
Cons: "Seats were really uncomfortable and the seats would not recline at all so we were stuck sitting up straight the whole time."
Pros: "Smooth flight Customer service"
Cons: "Queria pagar la diferencia de 5 boletos a Business Class y la del mostrador me dijo que no se podia. Tenia que ser 5 horas antes???? Gordita Dominicana aragana !!!! No quiso vender e hizo perder a su empresa. El Business tenia suficientes espacios. Mal personal el de Copa. No recomiendo la linea aerea."
Pros: "Time correctly"
Cons: "No comments"
Pros: "Crew on copa was wonderful!"
Cons: "So hot in the plane as we sat on the plane waiting to go I was actually getting sick!"
Cons: "Not enoughbeverage I was almost dehydrated"
Cons: "Boarding change of gates waited 2 hours"

Cons: "N/A"
Cons: "Flight was pverbooked and they put me on next flight , because of that I missed very important meeting"
Pros: "Everything was excellent! Did not eat the food."
Cons: "Crew members were rude. Refused to help me with my carry on and were rude about me needing to learn how to take my own stuff down from the overhead bin (i am a short person, so naturally i cannot reach the overhead bin and pull out my bag). Complained among each other (in front of the rest of the passengers) about people asking thrm for help."
Pros: "Food was particularly good in business class."
Cons: "Very minor point on not having an entertainment system, but the flight was short at just over 1hr. It was hard to understand some announcements over the speakers because of the sound system plus the fast talking with heavy accents"
Pros: "Comfort"
Cons: "Crew manners is poor"
Pros: "On time."
Cons: "Crowded in coach"
Pros: "The service was quite good. Nice food. I like that it is still included in the price of the ticket."
Cons: "It was a 6 hour flight and there was no personal entertainment system. That’s outdated compared to other airlines like Avianca. As mentioned by others the business class seats are outdated. No foot rest, no charging plug, no entertainment system."
Pros: "Courtesy, timing, comfort."
Cons: "The food. It was a bit heavy."
Pros: "The airhostess not very polite..rje pass the food and that's it..i asked for half hour for a coffee and I had to get up and get it myself from them They don't care about the passengers..they just do their routine"
Pros: "bags arrived on time snacks served"
Pros: "New, clean planes."

Pros: "Food was good"

Pros: "They did not allow us to either change it or get credit for the flight and lost the money, we could not fly this day"
Cons: "Allow a change or give credit"
Cons: "Flight landed and sat on the tarmac for 45 minutes. Need to better schedule gate availability in Mexico City."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Everything. The most horrrble experience. Delayed for 2 hours of which 1 was spent in a motionless plane. Hot, no AC,no water, no food, and all because of their mistake"
Cons: "I tried to check-in my husband and I online but i was unsuccessful and the only option besides us citizen was visa. My husband does not have a visa he has he’s resident card but there was no option for me to select besides visa. once i arrived i was told I would have to be on standby since I did not check in ... I told the air flight assistant I was unable to do so because when I would input my husbands information who is currently a resident there was no option.. she said some airlines don’t let you check in online because they have restricted online procedures... I paid for my ticket which means I paid for my seat... I always travel with Aeroméxico for the reason as I love the customer care We receive and never have issues and I was pretty confused as to why I encountered this situation... I would really appreciate that Aeroméxicos online process works for both citizens and residents to make it easier on everyone.. but i also want to thank the staff because even though I was given bad news and awaiting to see if I would fly back on time as a stand by, they were able to get me back to my home without me missing work...I can’t enforce enough to please look into into you’re online check in to make it fair for all boarders to check in ... thank you"

Cons: "Na"
Pros: "The seats were a bit cramped, and didn't recline much, but they were okay. The attendants were nice."

Pros: "The crew was amazing. Made my mom feel welcomed and special."
Pros: "The services and the comfort"
Cons: "Everything its good"
Pros: "The flight from Vancouver to Mexico by Aeromexico was cancelled. I was assigned a different flight at 6am the next morning and we could not board in the last minute when we were at the door (it looks like the flight was overbooked)... Finally we are in Lima but our luggage is lost."
Cons: "Please let me know what can we do.. Is there any kind of compensation we are entitled to after going through all this..."
Pros: "Todo estuvo excelente"
Cons: "Llego más temprano de lo que tenía que llegar"
Cons: "A strong snowstorm prevented me from arriving to the airport on time (highway was closed). Flight was at 3:15. After over 5 hours on the highway I finally arrived to the airport at 2:27 and the Aeromexico counters were empty. A lady from Lufthansa told me the flight had just closed and suggested that I call aeromexico’s phone number. I did that and the gentleman on the phone told me I should go to the check-in counters. I mentioned they were empty and he had no other suggestions. After an hour on the airport and on the phone with no progress I booked a trip with United and traveled home."

Pros: "Boarding was quick and easy. We were off the ground in no time. The flight was very smooth. Very little turbulance"
Cons: "Overall comfort and seating was poor. The seats are too narrow and too close"
Cons: "i have a 15 hour layover and was told i would need to collect my bag, but in mexico city they just said it would beon the next flight. praying it is."
Cons: "I never took the flight since Kayak’s blames me for not in putting the correct name of the passenger. Your policy on name change is ridiculous. I never input my name as the passenger. The ticket was for my aunt. Kayak has been the worst experience I have received."
Pros: "Everything was ok"
Cons: "That airline crew always with attitude.. but that’s ok I just feel they should work on that"
Pros: "Aeromexico keeps impressing me! The professionalism is great. The timing and ease of boarding was perfect. And the leg room and on-board accommodations make it a comfortable journey. Definitely now among my list of favorite airlines!"
Pros: "The crew is great, and the comfort of the airplane was outstanding!! Really happy with the whole experience."
Cons: "Could not choose seats because I could not check I online. Airlines does not allow it."
Cons: "Aeromexico is the worst airline I have ever flown including many throughout Latin America, Africa and other developing regions of the world. Our first flight was delayed an hour not because of weather or maintenance, etc. Just because “our planes always late” as the person at the gate put it. Because of he delay, we missed our connection and we have been delayed 24 hours. Horrible."
Pros: "More leg room in business class, extra luggage"
Cons: "No personal entertainment, no power ports, no hot food."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "They charge you extra fees for a carry on bag if the people decides it! I flight with the same airline from mx city to denver and they charged nothing while from denver to mx city they charged 25 dollars with the same suitcase! Also delta gives you free basic wifi while this guys charge it extra. Btw they take away all your carry ons amd make you to wait for hours to get them back! They dont have automatized check in so they make you wait for long time in the row."
Pros: "Excellent attention, boarding it was on time"
Pros: "Food service, upgrade, and leg room"
Pros: "I got to check my baggage for free (full flight) and the crew were all very nice and fluent in English and Spanish."
Cons: "Flight was delayed"
Cons: "The people from aeromexico is like they were mad or having a bad day very bad service overall"
Pros: "Crew was very friendly.. food was really good."
Cons: "Older plane no monitor in the head rest and uncomfortable seats."
Pros: "- The food as good. - They passed 3 times with drinks. Really nice. - You have your own screen with good content - Sweet / good take off and landing"
Cons: "- They turned on the heating (in early october)"
Cons: "I tried to call TWICE to make sure that I could change dietary preferences because I have food allergies and I was told both times that I was unable to. This is not fair for the price paid for flights. I am very unhappy with the fact that there was food served onboard and that, when I tried to tell the airline what I could and could not eat, that they did not change my preferences or even give me the option."
Cons: "Aeromexico in Mexico city has a major communication problem. This is the second time we have flown thru there and found that they don’t update the TVs. You need to ask their agents if you updated information like gate changes."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Delayed made me lose my connection."
Cons: "The worst flight of my life."
Cons: ". . . because of delays. Cannot comment but see above."
Cons: "had to pick up bags, clear immigration and customs, go to a different terminal (with 4 pieces of luggage, 4 back packs, and two kids) check in again, drop bags, clear immigration again and board the plane. Will avoid this connection at all costs next time"
Pros: "The flight attendants were very nice"
Cons: "No clear instructions on where to go or gate information inside of the airport"
Pros: "The flight was on time and I had no issues filight attendants Aeromexico in Guadalajara on either trip."
Cons: "The Customer Service agents at ORD are pretty bad, not knowledgeable and quick to pass on the buck. I was not allowed to bring on an extra package I had with me (pre paid) and was asked to take the package to TSA for approval. TSA approved it but the ticket agent still did not allow me to take it on, now I'm out $45. Also they made me check my carry on because it was slightly larger than the recommended size, even though it fits in their recommend size criteria."
Pros: "The fact that I arrived alive and in one piece"
Cons: "Ticket counter staff at O'Hare is incompetent, lazy and have bad attitudes. If there are other options to fly to Guadalajara - I would suggest you pursue them. I am a frequent flier and after seven years I am at the point of giving up. I would prefer two flights using United Airlines than the mess on Aeromexico. Beware of scorpions on planes!"
Pros: "I will not fly in this airline never."
Cons: "Dalay, boarding not very well organized."
Pros: "It is a good airplane very modern"
Cons: "Delayed. We wait almost three hours in the airplane."
Pros: "There was nothing to like about my experience."
Cons: "I booked round trip ticket's to Cancun from NYC. I had a change of plans . I needed to add my 2,4yr old to my trip. The Aromexico agent wanted to charge me over 1000.00 for the two children, to travel with me even though online the tickets were $200.00.They would not let me book my tickets online because the children were minors even though my ticket was already bought. I ended up purchasing tickets on delta to get to Cancun. However I was under the impression that I would return with Aeromexico on the round trip ticket I had already bought.NO! according to Aeromexico even though you buy a round trip ticket if you fail to use 1 leg of the trip you loose both ways WHAT! Then they refused to allow me to speak to a supervisor it was hands down the worst experience I have ever had with an airline in the 30 yrs that I have been traveling internationally. I would paddle boat rather than use this air again."
Cons: "Lin time in the Mexico's city airport."
Pros: "Coffee, SMILES on faces of the Capt., Stewards, Professional Appearances by AM staff from beginning to end. (unlike American Airlines) We had a snafu at boarding and a Miss Gina Diaz in San Jose Airport was MOST super helpful."
Cons: "No movies, or shorts, even clips or old tv shows.... WAAAAAAAA"
Cons: "My one piece that was checked in arrived one day after I did."
Pros: "Everything is provided free of charge; food, earphones, etc."
Pros: "Excelent at all."
Cons: "The food"
Pros: "Aeromexico is the worst airline ever!!! I will never fly with this airline ever again! They made me pay another flight to get back home because of a mistake from one of their staff!! They are so incompetent and they take advantage of the fact that we have to go home..... so disappointed!!"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Yes"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "The flight was delayed twice after boarding, we had to sit in the plane for almost 2 hours. I dont think frontier is worth the price anymore, you definatley get what you pay for. I had to check a bag both ways because a checked bag is cheaper than their fee to carry on a bag. There were no complimentary drinks or snack even after having to sit on the plane for so long. I requested an aisle seat and got stuck in the middle. Overall, think I will be paying the extra for any other airline than frontier."
Pros: "Wish I could think of something to write here."
Cons: "The on-line purchasing process did not function correctly. Was forced to call customer service and the rep I spoke with kept confusing departing and returning flights. The plane was late. My special zone 2 only boarding time was skipped and lumped with zone 3. The plane then had to wait for additional maintenance. The plane appeared to be... ancient. "Unlimited" coffee... was limited to two cups. A kid stuck a sex toy to the interior ceiling of the aircraft and despite a 10" purple silicon dildo hanging down, no staff member said a word."
Pros: "Nothing to like."
Cons: "Me & my wife arrived 3 hours early for our flight. During that time waiting to check our baggage, there were 3 arguments between employees and customers at 3 different times. After checking in and waiting at the terminal for our flight which supposed to leave at 12:55AM was delayed to 3AM. The flight ended up to being cancelled after everyone got in the plane. About 5-15 minutes all passengers was told to exit the plane. There were only one frontier employee who was working at the at the gate after we all exited. This specific employee said the manager had told all other frontier employees to go home. Me and my wife were really upset about this situation. It took a very long time for the employee to deal with all passengers refunds to changing flights. This had affected our flights to MkE because my wife mother was in her death bed to passing away today. The way things were handled during the flight on this day was a horrible experience. We then bought our flights from southwest after all this hectic morning."
Cons: "The ticket was cheap so of course we booked asap! Additionally you pay for your seat, some airlines there is free options, sometimes not. But with the price of your seat and ticket with any other airline, it comes with a free carry on bag and even some small free snacks on the flight. Nope. Pay extra hefty fees for small carry on, and of course pay extra for peanuts or even water. So after everything, it’s the same price as any other airline. At least delta has TV or United has snack options or American has decent leg room. Didn’t like either Frontier plane I flew on. Now I know for the future, it’s not as cheap as I thought."
Cons: "The tickets look like a deal until they charge for every other thing. The information regarding what bag can be carried on without a fee is very confusing. We paid and then saw people rolling cases and putting them in the overhead bin. The seat prices are ridiculous so you don't want to pay for a seat they will assign you for free, I was then told I had to go to the gate to get a seat assignment even though I had already purchased a ticket. I waited for almost an hour before someone showed up. I was told the only seats left were the exit rows. Luckily I am healthy. If I have paid for a ticket Frontier should guarantee me a seat. We had to wait in line even though we had already paid for our bags and some of us went on line and checked in and had boarding passes. Where is the short cut then?? It was so convoluted we will never fly Frontier again. Too much work, let me pay for the ticket and let me have a bag and give me a seat for crying out loud. The flight crew was great. Very nice."
Cons: "After being delayed on the first leg of my trip, we arrived in Denver being told to go to a particular gate. Once there we were told it was moved to another gate. This happened a total of 4 times! Again the flight was delayed. The pilot/co pilot made a negative comment on the PA about the airline after apologizing for the confusion. I was not given the opportunity to choose my seat. When I checked in, I asked to change from the middle seat I was assigned to, to a aisle seat to accommodate my long legs and severe knee arthritis. The attendant at the desk looked at my boarding pass and exclaimed "well, your flying ECONOMY so I guess you'll just have to deal with it". Drinks that are complimentary on Alaska (soft drinks, juice , water etc.) were charged for. The attendants completely skipped my row and we were not offered anything. The attendant did provide me a diet cola at no cost when I brought it to her attention. All in all a miserable trip home, in such contrast to our flight there on Alaska Airlines at the same cost."
Cons: "They gave our captain to an Atlanta flight. We had to wait for another captain to get to DIA. Then we got loaded up and had to wait for the east gate to open, then they had to map out another plan I.e., the northeast gate (and that didn't materialize) soooo we sat on the plane until we receive the okay to depart on "the east gate". Which was approximately 21:30. We finally arrived at approximately 01:00 a little more than hour late. It took better than 30 minutes for us to get our luggage. Stupid crazy that a person is paying ridiculous prices for pitiful customer service."
Pros: "The flight attendants were nice."
Cons: "After a 10 hour layover, they stopped the boarding process because a toilet malfunctioned and we had to wait another 45 minutes. The lack of complimentary beverages was pretty annoying as well, especially considering that after buying my tickets, I spent an additional $75 on checking bags as well as another $50+ to choose my seats at on-line check in. Of course nowhere did it mention that if I simply checked in at the airport instead of doing it online beforehand, I could be assigned seats and it wouldn't cost me anything. I drop $1000+ on airfare, checked bags, and sneaky extra fees, and you can't even give me a $.50 can of soda for free? I've flown Frontier before, but the customer service has gone downhill in the past few years. I will never use this airline again and I encourage others to do the same. They're providing an inferior service and staying in business by offering "cheaper airfair" which they make up for by tacking on exorbitant luggage fees, sneaky online fees, and neglecting customer comfort."
Pros: "The crew had a smile and were friendly."
Cons: "Look, it's a budget carrier. I get that. But I add a bag to my flight and my ticket is now what it would have cost to fly Southwest. I'm 6'4", and I *barely* fit into the seats. My knees touched the seat in front of me the whole flight. And the seats don't recline. To make everything just perfect, they lost my luggage on the flight home, and the lady who worked with Frontier who took all 15 (?) of us who had lost luggage over to make a claim said "this is normal for flights coming from Denver - it's a hub for Frontier, so luggage gets misplaced all the time." I'm sorry, that's not acceptable as an answer. I've never had a lost bag while flying with others, so that's what I will do from now on."
Cons: "I am a 75 year old female and I did not hear the overhead page for early boarding, as I am a little slower to get on the plane and would appreciate the extra time to get into my seat. When I went to board the plane (zone 3), another passenger and his girlfriend wanted to sit together and refused to move out of my window seat, even after I told the gentleman I paid for that seat, including extra ($6) for the window seat. I felt I was bullied me out of my seat that I paid extra money for and because then another passenger in the other row yelled at me to "sit down" so I would not hold up the other passengers from sitting down in their seats. I was forced to take the seat the gentleman's girlfriend must have had in the middle of the two other passengers in the other row across from where I was scheduled to sit. I know I could have called the airline stewardess but felt pressured to stay where I was because of the other passenger I had to sit next to who had yelled at me earlier. I wish there was more of an attempt to let elderly passengers board first."
Cons: "The Flamingo. We began our vacation with Frontier Airlines on a note of apparent tension between the attendants and boarding passengers. Having not been a frequent flyer, I assumed that this was normal in post 9/11. The male attendant had a cold demeanor, until he was chatting up passengers to buy snacks and drinks. Why sell bar drinks when there is enough disorderly conduct in the air? The plane was cold, noisy and the outside air currents were choppy. No conversation from the pilot was forth coming as to what to expect during the flight. Then there was a the Master Card Commercial. It's bad enough to be crammed into a noisy old plane, but to have to be subjected to a lengthy pitch for a credit card is inexcusable. Sandra Fliniau flight 04-09-2017"
Pros: "Very cheap flight. Ticket of price of $197 Denver to Philly round trip. However, once you factored in the luggage charges, the flight came to around $314. We were delayed two hours leaving Denver, and then when we got to Philly it took an hour and a half for them to get our bags to the carousel... unfortunately that wasn't the end of it. They somehow managed to put our flights luggage in the wrong baggage claim areas, so collecting our bags was a nightmare. The worst part was after I saw how much they charged me for a checked bag and a carry on, it came out to be as much as the American Airline flight that I hadn't booked in order to save money."

Pros: "The crew was fabulous. Basically any actual person I talked to was lovely and pleasant."
Cons: "I mean, I understand that it's the goal of the company to sucker consumers out of every penny they can, Frontier is just very in your face about it to the detriment of the overall experience. Throughout the online check in process there was an endless stream of popups asking if I was SURE I didn't want to pay more for a carry on, to choose my seat, etc which made the check in process very tedious and frustrating. And doing blatant things like making the "yes I want to pay more" button huge and basically trying to hide the "no thanks" button. As if customers aren't going to see right through that and get annoyed? (Their cost benefit analysis really didn't account for happier people being more willing to pay for extra things) Also, when my flight home got cancelled it was almost impossible to get a hold of a real person to talk to. Since it was due to weather conditions Frontier had an announcement on their website about what to do. Which...had a convenient link to requesting a refund but no instructions on how to go about re-booking, just that it was theoretically a thing they would do. When I called their customer service I was met with a recorded message about how they're overwhelmed with calls (understandable) followed by same message that was on their website and then...nothing. They ended the call. No option to speak to a person, no "you'll need to wait an hour for someone to be available", no menu to flip through...nothing. Frontier just very obviously doesn't care about customer experience (other airlines/companies at least have the decency to pretend). You'll get an adequate flight pretty cheap (provided you didn't want to bring a significant amount of luggage or eat/drink on the flight) that will get you from point A to point B. Just don't have any expectations going in."
Cons: "I did not like the fact that I had to pay $45 for a small bag I carried on and placed in an overhead compartment. I handled my own luggage and had to pay for it! Why did Frontier NOT clearly state the cost of a carry-on? I can only assume that they're being deceptive and forcing people to pay when they haven't got a choice; their ticket has already been purchased. This type of customer service is despicable. Travelers should not have to search the internet and read the extra fine print to find the REAL cost of travel. Shame on you Frontier. You've lost my business."
Cons: "No info given on ground for delayed Flt. Said "on time" departure and it was already past departure time and hadn't boarded yet. Waited 45 minutes at gate, no announcement. Preceded to runway, de-iced, no announcement. ( my seat mate , southerner hadn't known what was happening). Servive and attitude was definitely a 1 and pilots were first off plane. This was on top of our Orlando to Denver flight that was delayed 8 hours with no weather related cause. We had to rebook on another airline. Frontier said, every flight is only a 50% chance of on time departure!!!! Way too much for 79 year olds. We are an airline family so recognize the "care less" attitude. Never Frontier again."
Pros: "getting off the plane"
Cons: "one crew member (aft steward) was a little tyrant. I was waiting for a seating error/confusion to be resolved and he kept harping to get out of the aisle and take my seat (which was occupied). He then closed all the overheads when we were half boarded - making new arrivals scrambling for storage. Also, all the hidden fees!! I paid 1 1/2 times my airfare in more fees. I'll fly another airline before choosing you again. I have flown over 500,000 miles in the past 20 years and this was the worst."
Cons: "Absolutely awful experience. Arrived 3 hrs ahead of time to check luggage and the line was wrapped all the way around the airport. No one working to direct the lines. Only 3 people working to check luggage the week before christmas. Almost missed our flight because the line was so long. Was advertised as some free seating options but when checked into flight 24 hr ahead of time had to pay $16 a piece for middle row seats at the very back of the airplane. Flight was delayed 3 hrs because one of the flight attendants did not show up. Will never fly frontier again."
Pros: "The check in staff were rude, we felt like we were rushed. Frontier is a deceitful airline, they didn't tell us that the bags were SO expensive, usually an airline gives you some bag for free, nope! Carry on and checked luggage cost a ton of money. Not to mention you have to pay for seats, which is expensive! If you're travelling with someone and you don't pay for seats and you wait until the end to be assigned then you won't end up sitting beside the person you're travelling with and I must tell you the response I got from them was that they're busy and they have no time to deal with this. Then there is the flight crew, through the flight all I could hear is the flight crew talking about how they are on a waiting list and something about becoming a full attendant and every other word was accompanied by a bad word. I would file for a refund if I thought that would get me anywhere. Sorry Kayak I like you but from now on I'll be going direct to American Airlines. By the way! The CEO of Frontier is the former CEO of spirit...That alone should tell you stay AWAY."
Pros: "Nothing."
Cons: "Per their instructions, I arrived at the airport two hours before my flight. The line to check in was MASSIVE. Everyone was grumbling they'd never fly Frontier again. All of the airlines nearby had no line, just Frontier was a mess. This took about an hour. I asked the lady at check-in (who rudely rolled her eyes at me when I said I needed a boarding pass printed), why it was so busy and she gave me a blank stare and said "it's like this every day at this time, we have five flights going out." Sooooo they know it's like this everyday...why don't they fix the problem and have more than TWO PEOPLE behind the desk? This doesn't seem like rocket science. Security took 40 minutes too, and I told two TSA people my flight was boarding, and they just looked at me and shrugged. I've seen far better at other airports. My gate closed at 4:20. I was still in line at 4:10. Somehow I made it through and had to full out sprint to the gate. I made it at 4:18, and the gate guy said "I hate to have to close the gate on people, good thing I don't!". THIS ISN'T A JOKE. I made it, with two minutes to spare, but this was insane. I was there two hours early, it's not like I came crashing in twenty minutes before. I also watched a a young woman in line miss her flight entirely because of their slow check-in, and the desk people just looked at her and shrugged. Their lack of service and support was unbelievable and unacceptable. There is a reason these flights are so cheap, and I saw it all firsthand."
Pros: "Getting seated near the front was nice."
Cons: "I had to bring my wedding dress and called ahead to make sure I had it figured out. Most airlines have a closet type storage area by the flight attendants and frontier does not. I was told over the phone I would have to buy a seat for my dress so I did that. Then when I went to the airport the lady was pretty rude and said that it was incorrect and it would be dumb to do that and I wasn't allowed. Then I had to pay an extra fee as well. Once to the gate we were delayed and the plane was there the entire time. We were scheduled to take off at 6:55 and boarded at 7. No reason for the delay and they didn't keep us updated. I was not very happy with Frontier this time."
Pros: "Airfare appeared to be affordable and competitive. Typical flying experience."
Cons: "I just took a small backpack and duffel bag. They made me pay $40 each way for the duffel bag! I thought every airline at least gave you a personal item and carry-on. This put me in a position of having to put $80 on my personal card for a work trip or to abandon my bag. Ridiculous! I don't like being put in that situation and will remember it next time I go to book. I also recognize they need to make some money off of snacks and drinks, but to not even provide a complimentary drink of water feels extra stingy too."
Cons: "Well my plane was supposed to board at 8:25 a.m. and leave at 9:10 a.m., however it had not arrived yet. After the plane arrived, it took the crew quite some time to get all of the passengers off. When we did get on the plane, there was another long wait because they were short on bag rampers. After all of the delays, my plane exited Denver at or around 10:50 a.m. Throughout all of this the stewardesses were quiet and didn't explain the delays. It wasn't until quite some time that I requested as to why we hadn't left yet. There were more issues when the flight arrived in Indianapolis. It took approximately 10-12 minutes until the jetway was even connected to the plane. Finally, I'm off the plane and I get to the baggage claim and I was there waiting for my bags for about 30 minutes. It's the first time that I've had any of these issues as a flyer and it's also the first time that I've used Frontier. This flight isn't one of my first flights either as the military has had me flying all over the US in recent months. Looking at this experience, I think that has more to do with the company itself rather than a random flight experience."
Pros: "The crew was very nice."
Cons: "This is definitely the bottom of the heap when it comes to airlines. They offer a competitive price on a flight, but once booked they nickel and dime you until the price is higher than a better airline. They charge for seat choice on the whole plane, snacks and drinks, carry on and checked luggage, and there is no entertainment. Plus the seats felt like cardboard, and didn't recline. Definitely not a good choice for a red eye, or any flight over an hour long. Actually, no matter how short your flight is, you'll probably be more comfortable taking the bus. Two big thumbs down."
Cons: "The day after arriving at our destination, our return trip was canceled: "due to day-of-travel flight cancellation or traveler no-show." I can assure you, we did show; I had the pictures. They tried to put us on an earlier flight, which was not convenient, due to travel plans made 8 months prior, so the return flight was scheduled for the next day (again, inconvenient, due to loss of income). Frontier attempted to charge me for the extra day. After I complained multiple times, they finally waived the additional charge when I reminded them I was NOT the one who canceled the original flight. My daughter and I were provided $100 travel vouchers, each, for the "inconvenience." Frontier can keep their $200."
Cons: "Where do I begin? This airline is so incredibly chincy it boggles the mind. $40 to have a carry on bag???? You've got to be kidding me. I think you also have to pay for air circulation on the plane. We sat on the runway for an hour, and the plane was about 95 degrees for the entire time we were on the plane. My requests for the captain to turn on the air were ignored, and we were all left to sweat it out. You have to pay for everything except water, and even getting water is a difficult task! About an hour in, with no carts going by, I went to the back of the plane to ask for a glass of water. The flight attendant, who was literally standing next to the water cart, told me to wait for the service component. I'm 8 months pregnant, was uncomfortable and parched from the roasting plane. I asked why she couldn't just pour me a quick cup right there, and she said "you're just going to have to wait like everyone else." Turbulence ensued and an hour later the attendants made their way to give people their free water. No seats on this plane recline, no leg room. Just awful. Never ever flying this airline again!"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "I shouldn't have to choose to sit in the exit row in order to get enough legroom to fit comfortably in a flight where I'm not going to get food, peanuts, or a seat that reclines. Every leg of my trip was this way. On my way out I flew a red-eye and planned to sleep because I had business to deal with once I landed. Without legroom or being able to recline I was too uncomfortable to get any sleep. I also had to pay for carry-on AND check baggage? Is a person not supposed to bring anything with them when they fly? Lastly, if I wanted to sit anywhere comfortable or in a reclining seat I again have to pay to upgrade? This fact was unknown to me until the online check in process. Overall, I'm very dissatisfied with my experience. I have another trip next week and I already chose to pay $100 more for American Airlines instead of frontier, I will have comfort, food, wifi, won't have to pay for my baggage. This is America, we expect comfort. At least give us wifi. My experience with Frontier has made up my mind about paying more to get treated the way I deserve, not as if I was flying in a C130 Cargo plane."
Pros: "Only thing I liked was the cheaper price, but I am thinking it wasn't really worth it."
Cons: "Our plane boarded an hour late. Didn't give any explanation until it was the time we should have taken off. Sat on the runway at our destination which I understand was not the airlines fault, but still not a lot of forthcoming information. Felt like there was even less leg room than on a Southwest plane and I am petite. Can't imagine a big person or tall person sitting in those seats. The half trays were of little use except for to put your drink on. Yes, it was a little cheaper that we didn't have luggage, but I think I'll go back to Southwest."
Pros: "The only thing that was bearable was the staff. They were pleasant enough and continually apologized for the massive delays."
Cons: "Both flights were delayed. The return flight was delayed by three hours. I understand things happen but rather than feeding me a line of bs about how it's only going to be "a little while longer" I would have rather have been told that the flight wouldn't board till three hours later. Because the flight was so late I missed my shuttle and ended up getting a cab which was an expensive toll I was less than pleased to pay. The plane seating itself is uncomfortable as all hell. Granted I'm 6'3" with a muscular build I could have chose a stretched seat but for a 1.5 hour flight I didn't think the extra fee was worth it. This and several other minor things have convinced me to never fly Frontier again so long as I can help it."
Pros: "I was extremely disappointed with Fronteir airlines this was my first and only experience flying with them, and though the ticket price was great, it simply was NOT worth it! There were additional costs for everything! When I attempted to get my seat assignment I was told they assign at the gate, or I could PAY an additional fee for choosing one myself. And, they charge extra for your carry on bag. And expecting to at least be offered a soda, maybe a mini bag of salted pretzels if lucky (lol), I was SHOCKED to be told 1 soda was $1,99! Additional cost for any snacks or anything other than water! The aircraft was very dirty inside the bathroom as well as on and by my seat, as though it hadn't been even wiped down in over a month! (Pretty bad!) The flight crew were all very good I must say. I asked one of them and was told that 2of them were brand new employees. It really showed! They were much friendlier and genuinely cared about customer service! Refreshing! So, overall I would have to rate it low, and highly unlikely to fly with them again.even the checking in process was a real headache! I am glad to have received this questionaire , as I had planned on actually taking the time to sit down and write a letter as well as request a full refund , or credit for a friend, family member, or myself . You do run some pretty excellent deals, and I would like to welcome the opportunity to experience Fronteir in positive light, a nothing but positive experience. Thank you very much. Sincerely, Dr.Tamra D.Lyngaas 20426 102nd Ave. S.E., Kent, Wa. 98031"
Cons: "Two of your flight crew were caring and genuine it seemed. Great attitudes and upbeat!"
Pros: "The price was excellent and staff very friendly. Landing in STL was very smooth...pilot did a super job."
Cons: "There was a mix-up in the baggage loading, thus we were delayed about 40 minutes or so...it seemed longer since it was a late flight. The attendants were very nice, air-conditioning made it all comfortable during the long wait. I totally understand how accidents can happen and I think the crew handled the delay very well. The attendant was very nice and during refreshment service, my daughter asked for 2 glasses of water and she gave them to us. We had not planned to be on the plane so long so I had not brought along anything to drink. All in all, it was a good flight. Thank you."
Cons: "We were delayed, but that happens. What I really didn't like is that after arriving at 120 am it took them 30 minutes to get the jet bridge hooked up and get us off the plane. The crew did not do a good job of keeping us informed. We were to the gate almost right away it and then waited and waited. Then we had to walk up the jet bridge with no lights on. Once we got to the baggage claim it still took another 20 minutes for the bags to come. Also, the seats are not like they used to be. With the carryon bag fee it ends up being about as expensive as much better airlines. I won't plan to fly Frontier again."
Pros: "That they held the plane to make my connection"
Cons: "My connection was late, then my ticket was not working and the attendant had to manually check is in. She was EXTREMELY unprofessional even sating tons customer " I can only work as fast as I can DUDE, I'm the only one here" in which I verbally reprimanded her for her unprofessional attitude. Then we sat in the plane for an additionaL HOUR for a "mechanical issue".... which appeared to be them filling up the plane. I am so highly dissatisfied that not only will I never ever book frontier again, but I made sure to review the company in social media and all my friends/family/clients. I don't pretend to understand the airline industry, but I do know BAD BUSINESS when I see it. Absolutely TERRIBLE."
Cons: "Just when you thought airline travel couldn't get worse, Frontier brings you hard seats that don't recline and tray tables about half the size of a sheet of paper. Want a real seat? No problem--pay more. Want what they call a "laptop-friendly" tray table? No problem--pay more. And don't expect to use TSA Pre-check: Frontier doesn't participate. By the time you've paid to bring luggage on your trip--whether checked or carry-on, it costs--you've racked up a cost you could have used to fly a real airline. Pretty soon they'll be charging extra to fly on a plane with wings. And then their website was down all morning when I needed to check in. I used to fly Frontier a lot. Never, never, never, never again."
Cons: "I bought a plane ticket and then had to pay for a seat on top of that, as well as exorbitant charges for bags, and we ended up paying far more than even the plane ticket for all the extra charges. If I buy a plane ticket, that price is what I am expecting to pay. I understand a few charges here and there, but more than double what I expected to pay is completely crooked and terrible business. The plane ride was bare bones, uncomfortable seats, and average service. We will never be flying Frontier again."
Pros: "On Friday, July 8, at DIA airport I waited almost an hour before someone took me to my gate A42 for Flight 122 supposedly departing at 8:10 and boarding at 7:35. Finally, I had to bring this to the attention of the ticket agent as I did not want to miss my flight. Noone came and the poor overworked worker took me at 7:45 -we did not arrive at the gate until 8 o'clock (luckily the TSA checkpoints were NOT busy) and had the flight been on time, I would probably have missed it. This gentleman asked repeatedly for assistance for over 40 minutes and no one came to his aid. I panicked and I want Corporate to know they need to hire adequate help so their customers are not treated like dirt. Once I boarded, the crew was fabulous! However, I am not happy about such a horrible experience. I deserve a refund or free return ticket for my inconvenience. I have flown other airlines and have never had such a negative experience with wheelchair assistance!!!"
Cons: "You all charge piece meal for everything; yet you don't hire enough people - I bet Corporate executives are getting their fair share!"
Cons: "Both flights to & from Denver were over 30 minutes late unloading passengers. This particular flight was late on all counts.15 minutes late beginning boarding. Departed over 30 min. Late and arrival was about 40 min. Late. I do like that charging for carry on means people board /load and deplane/unload quickly. We get what we pay for and Frontier is cheap. We payfor each little add on, reserved seats, beverage, carry on, etc.Good option if cheapness is primaryfactor over comfort, convenience, or reliabledeparture and arrival schedule. Unrealistic tight scheduling means little time to clean or prepareplane between flights."
Pros: "the low initial fare"
Cons: "leg space non existent tray table too small, can fit a lunch box carry on policy - there's no carry on allowed"
Pros: "good price roomier seat section"
Cons: "In Denver--The electronic sign at the gate my boarding pass indicated was not displaying my flight (AGAIN!!!)and it did not indicate if the gate number had been changed. I and other passengers were alarmed that the flight was not going to happen. Someone did check the airport departure and arrival screen and found out the gate had been changed. Can't the electronic signs at the gates indicate the gate changes of flights? somehow get the word out at the gate? Not all people are experienced enough flyers to know to check the big airport arrival/departure boards and there wasn't a Frontier soul anywhere around to ask."
Cons: "My girlfriend and I struck up a conversation with a woman sitting next to us in our row about an hour into the flight. About 10 minutes after that we notice the woman in front of us is glaring at us, writhing around in histrionics, holding her ears, cursing to her husband and basically making every passenger around her look at each other wondering "what is going on with this woman"? Finally this woman turns around and is staring at us. I ask her if there is a problem, and she replies "yeah. There is. You're saying "like" too much. Can you just shut up?". Wrong thing to say to me. I called her a few choice words which I won't repeat, then her husband gets his tough guy act going, by this time everyone around our seats are uncomfortable at the rising confrontation. The flight crew come over and try to move them, but they refuse to move. My girlfriend and I end up moving our seats to avoid the flight being diverted and ruining everyone else's plans. For the last hour of the trip we sat seperately in the back of the plane. Once I moved I was speaking to an older couple next to me about their plans, showing a visiting family the features of the New York skyline as we landed and giving them advice on traveling in NYC, so apparently my voice didn't cause anyone else who wasn't either drunk or crazy to begin an argument with me. I know the issue has nothing to do with kayak or the airline, just a maladjusted few people that can't be in public, but that was hands down the worst flight I have ever had."
Pros: "Nothing."
Cons: "The 3 people in front of me must have chain smoked a carton of cigarettes on the way to airport with the windows up. Flight attendant would not move me-- they had serious attitude and clearly need some customer service classes. Had an allergic reaction from smokey smell sneezing and coughing. Nose burned and started bleeding from the airplane air (almost as if the filters were not changed on the a/c blowing on my face). Seats wouldn't recline. 30 min delay leaving airport (direct flight from Denver to San Antonio, but yet we sat on runway bc of storms in LA???) arrived to SA late at 10:15 pm. Stood and waited for another 30 min for bags to come out with ZERO communication from airline letting us know which luggage carrosel to stand at. Meanwhile the lovely folks at southwest had to finally make an announcement for Frontier to give us any amount of info. Doubt I will ever go this budget airline again. Awful. Saved $75 instead of flying southwest. Wasn't worth it."
Cons: "Was at boarding gate A36..which is what the big board said to be at..my ticket, as well. Waiting with 100+ other passengers at gate..watching Netflix out of boredom waiting on plane. 15 mins past departure time..I go to customer service and they tell me its MY FAULT I missed the plane that left 4 minutes prior because THEY changed the gate to A32.. There was no change on the board..but they said it was announced. It wasn't made clear to those of us who thought we were in the right gate waiting. I was able to fly out until the next morning..putting a lot of plans I and others had in serious jeopardy. Your customer service agents have MUCH to be desired..very rude..taking customers that walked up behind me while making me wait on them to get their sh*t together. I almost lost the only flight available out the next day because they were chatting amongst themselves about personal problems!!"
Pros: "The best part about the flight was when we landed in Dallas."
Cons: "The most uncomfortable flight I have ever been on. The seats were very hard and could not adjust. There was no information about the flight provided at any time during the flight except for when we were preparing to land. Compared to American Airlines (which we flew with on our way to Denver), Frontier has no comparison. There was absolutely no entertainment provided, and there were additional costs and fees at every turn. Not only do they charge for any and all refreshments, they also charge you to have a carry-on bag. The flight was also very very loud. The cabin rattled and roared for the entire hour and a half flight. We will not be flying Frontier again unless some major upgrades are made."
Pros: "I used to love flying Frontier—the airline with the cute animals on the tail of the planes. Now I call them the F word in airlines. If you want to fly Frontier, I want to make sure you’re forewarned. Their slogan is “A different kind of animal.” This animal is very cunning. And slightly savage. First, if you’ve been suckered into their $59 airfares, you already know what’s waiting for you. Wait. You actually want to fly back home? Well you’ll end up paying the same price as you would most any other airline. But wait…what’s this? Actually, their rates are about $100 cheaper than normal. What they don’t tell you is, they charge $30 for you to carry on your own baggage. I always thought it was ludicrous to charge me to carry my own bag onto a plane. Keep in mind that’s one way. So it’s $60 round trip. And that’s their discounted rate if you book online. It goes way up if you’re one of the unfortunates who wait till you’re at the kiosk to settle up with the Frontier Friskers. Oh, you say you want to actually choose your seat? That’s $13 minimum. For each leg of your trip. Don’t be surprised if they figure out a way to charge you for each leg of your body. That’s for a normal seat. If you don’t cough up the $13, they’ll randomly seat you wherever they want. I wouldn’t be surprised if they counted the lavatory as a possibility. So, that’s $60 for your own carry-on luggage. And a minimum $26 if you dare to choose your own cheap seat. Hmm. That $100 savings is looking rather slim right now. Speaking of slim, that describes their seats. And they don’t recline. You’re straight upright your whole trip. And the padding is about as comfortable as a cheap mattress in a cheap motel. The best way I can describe the feeling: Say you’re on Sesame Street and your job is to sit on the capital letter ‘L” for two hours. So while spending what feels like an eternity in L, maybe you’d like something to quench your thirst. That’s $1.99. Water? $1.99. A snack? $2.99. I’m surprised they don’t charge for toilet paper. By the square. (To be fair, I just learned that a cup of water is actually free. “For today,” said the flight attendant. “That could change.”) Nice Surprise: The people who work for Frontier are generally nice. But if this is the way Frontier treats their customers, how do they treat their employees? Do they make their mechanics buy their own tools? I wrote to the company to let them know how hugely disappointed I am with their changes. I never got the courtesy of a reply. I somehow like to imagine the CEO, in the true spirit of “no frills”, answering each customer letter by himself on an Olivetti typewriter from the 1970s. But I kind of doubt it. So there you have it. To be forewarned is to be forearmed. And if you have four arms, well, you might just fit their new slogan. Frontier Airlines: A whole different way to treat people like animals."
Cons: "Frontier's low fares which are deceptive. They charge you $60 for carrying your own bag! They charge you $13 per leg for the "privilege" of choosing your seat--even the normal seats. They charge you $1.99 for basic sodas offered by most every other airline for free. And they charge you $2.99 per snack. The seat are slim, terribly uncomfortable with virtually no padding and they don't recline! They don't respond when you write them."
Pros: "Nothing stands out as what I liked - the crew and boarding were average, so I guess not negative is good in this case."
Cons: "I chose this flight because of cost but don't be fooled - you will pay for everything extra - seat selection, carry-on or checked luggage, even coffee or snacks, extra. The seats are absolutely terrible in my opinion, don't recline, limited padding, very uncomfortable if flying over 2 hours. At the end of the day, this was only like $25 less than another airline (american in this case) - and all the other airlines are much more comfortable and include those little things like carry-on, nonalcoholic beverages and snacks. It isn't worth it, use another airline!"
Pros: "It was an OK flight. Everything is a la carte. I didn't realize this because I have never flown frontier before. I was traveling light anyways, so it did allow me a cheaper flight. I mainly picked them for the departure time. In the future, I probably would pay the 49 bucks for what they call "the works". It bundles a lot of their a la carte services into a better deal. We did catch a tail wind and turned a 3 hour flight into a 2 hour flight. I guess the upside to the paid carry on rule was that there were a lot less carry on, which made boarding and exiting the plain easier."
Cons: "They want you to pay for everything. It does keep you from paying for stuff you don't want or need, which is good for me, but it would have been very bad if it had been my wife. I guess it is OK if you are aware of this, but I didn't realize until after I bought my ticket. You are allowed one personal item for free, but carry on and checked baggage are extra. Again, I only had a backpack ( personal item) but if my wife had been with me, it would have gotten expensive fast. The crew was kind of snippy. If you want food or drinks you have to pay with your credit card. Entertainment was non existent other than the in-flight credit card sales pitch."
Cons: "No where when I was booking my flight was stated that I would have to pay to reserve a seat. I understand paying more for extra leg room but charging just to pick a seat in the back of the plane is rediculous and makes me never want to fly frontier anymore. I usually love flying frontier, but it makes me pick another airline. The flight was delayed 3 hours and I understand that things happen, but we were never told why our flight was delayed. The flight attendants were OK this trip. Usually I find Frontier flight attendants to be very friendly and seems to love their jobs, but this flight they were not the friendliest."
Pros: "Every thing on our flight to New Orleans."
Cons: "Three of us boarded at DIA in Denver on Feb 25 on Frontier Airlines for a flight to New Orleans. We each had one piece of carry on luggage that we placed in the compartment above the seats. There was not additional charge for the carry on. We paid only the cost of our airline ticket. HOWEVER on our return flight Feb 28, we told at the New Orleans Frontier desk there would be an extra charge for the exact carry on luggage we had checked in at Denver fours days before. The extra charge was $40.00 for checking or $45.00 if we carried on our luggage. We explained there was no charge for our carry on's in Denver. That didn't help. SO what choice did we have? We didn't make a scene or issue about this extra charge. We merely paid the extra charge and grumbled on the flight home. You can probably guess about our change in attitude -- from a pleasant flight experience to New Orleans to maybe our next flight will not be on Frontier rather another carrier."
Pros: "Direct flight"
Cons: "Very unimpersonable....felt like I was just a ticket number. No drinks or snacks unless you have a credit/debit card to buy a soda and snack for 2 bucks, seats seem smaller and the "snack" tray was smaller than a book. But I guess since they don't offer drinks and snacks with your ticket you really don't need that tray. I had to purchase this ticket due to a death in my family and it was the least expensive, but if I had a choice it would have been with Southwest Airlines. At least they still make you feel human."
Pros: "The crew was great. We flew into some particularly bad weather and the cockpit crew did an excellent job landing the airplane. Some passengers even applauded once we were safely on the ground. The fair was - reasonable. The plane appeared to be new-ish and was pretty clean."
Cons: "A fee for EVERYTHING. I think I knew Frontier charged for everything but forgot when making my last minute reservation to see my ailing father. When it was time to check in on-line, it appeared every seat was either considered a premium seat or was not available. Middle seats and seats near the lav were considered premium. And the fee was either $20 or $35. I elected not to pay for a premium seat and took my chances that I would actually get a seat when I checked in at the counter. I believe they also charge for soda."
