An international flight with a chicken sandwich and fruit is low quality. In comparison, Avianca provided a gourmet meal and a Salvatore Farragamo flight gift with lotions, eye covers, ear plugs, pen, and tissue.
The Gate (26C) at LaGuardia was outside. We had to walk in 30 Degree Farenheit weather outside and wait to be checked in. This was not a Delta policy, but the LaGuardia Airport is undergoing renovations. An Airport Shuttle to the plane would have been so much better!
There was not food or entertainment. It was a short fly.
I've flown quite a bit over the last 15 years. One of the things that is getting out of hand is the way planes are boarded. Something has to change with everyone standing around the gate waiting for their group to be called to board. Not only that, but I see people who are not in a specific group attempt to get on the plane when it's not their turn and get on anyway. I think the plane needs to be boarded from the back of the plane to the front AND some of these bags people are taking don't fit and it takes up valuable overhead space. What I love about Delta is their crew is very professional and nice in which to work. What I found upsetting about this flight is I used some of the Skymiles to purchase ComfortPlus seats. ComfortPlus was called, we got on the plane and found we were not in ComfortPlus. Very upsetting when you're looking for that extra few inches of leg room.

They holler every time, “SIR YOU’RE GONNA HAVE TO CHECK THAT” $6,000 worth of equipment to make space for someone’s socks. (?!?!) Today, I boarded TWO delta flights and was told, “see if it fits... if not, we can gate check it for you...” YES!!! That’s all I ask!!! Just let me TRY first! If it doesn’t fit, THEN I can’t complain! Anyway, sorry for the saga! I just want to say THANK YOU! I had peace of mind ALL day! Keep up the great work! Your staff is outstanding!!"

The plane was also abnormally loud on board, and the air pressure seemed to fluctuate throughout the flight, making the experience uncomfortable."

I think that for these cases they should leave more time for the stopovers that come from international flights. For my part I did not choose this option, since I was traveling with a person with mobility problems and separated the group for admission to the process of entering the USA."

The sound of forceful rushing air is annoying enough but the muscles in my neck were cramping due to the cold air on the first part of the flight. (This is NOT the personal, adjustable vent I'm talking about. I know how to turn them off and redirect air flow). Perhaps there is a a crew controlled adjustment that had been neglected during this flight. Started on the ground during boarding, continued throughout flight."

Another gate attendant told me that the aircraft was at DYT, but the reason for delay was crew rest. As the delays continued, 3 in all, we were told that the aircraft was at DYT but we were waiting on a crew to be flown in from Charlotte. Not sure how AA messed up their crew rest schedule on domestic regional jet carrier. Either way, a new gate attendant arrived to take over, and continued to tell us we were waiting on crew. Then the story changed to waiting on aircraft and crew. By the time the 3rd change in departure had been made, and we were still waiting on aircraft and cre, AA failed to continue to update the departure and arrival times. Once we boarded around 9:00pm the boarding time still showed 8:10pm. Then we sat on the runway awaiting departure for approx 40 minutes before taking off. Very poor communication And customer service."

For instance last groups are the last ones to enter the aircraft and don't easily find space for the hand luggage. They have to accommodate bags under the front seat making the already uncomfortable trip more painful. Also this process may delay the departure time.  Food service is terrible. no options, specially for kids or people with food restrictions. Not even the payed ones offer healthy food alternatives.  No comfort at all for a flight that departs little before midnight and arrives at 7 am at its destination. They forgot about the pillows and blankets you find in other airlines.  at the end, when I collected my baggage I realized 1 wheel was missing from one of my suitcases. I informed the airline and 3 days later I receive an email saying that the airline is not responsible for damages that include wheels and other "baggage accessories" I did not rate the flight poor because at least it manages to arrive to its final destination..."
