Flight was delayed approx 7-8 times, 7.5 hrs. I arrived at 7:15 am for a 9:20am flight to find that it was delayed. Wasn't notified before leaving home of delay. Was given a 2 food vouchers but very late, 30 mins before boarding time. Paid for two meals already by then. My Friday to Monday trip to see my family was shortened by almost a day. I hadn’t seen them for 3 years. Don't know when I'll be able to see them next. Not happy...

I ultimately arrived at my final destination on the same day that I left, and 12 hours later instead of 36 hours later that it was looking like it'd be at the time. Crew at the gate and on the plane were wonderful. Personnel at the airport were also wonderful aside from the fact that I couldn't seem to get on the official standby list until my mother-in-law got me on by talking to personnel at a completely different airport.

Flight was diverted due to weather and subsequently was cancelled and rebooking was a disaster. Lines and phone hold times for rebooking took an hour each time I stood in line, which was four times.Thankfully, I was on standby for this same-day flight and was able to arrive at my destination 12 hours later than planned instead of 36 hours later than planned.

On two of the legs of the trip they notice I was a tall person with long legs and upgraded me to seats with more leg room!! I didn't even ask. Thank you.

On the way back there were open seats with extra leg room and I asked the gate attendant if it was possible to switch my seat to one with more room and they said they only could if I paid extra.

My flight started off with getting to the airport only to find my flight had been canceled in the morning and rescheduled at an earlier time while I was at work. I don't check my phone or email while at work. Fortunately, your staff was quickly able to put me on a flight that left an hour and a half after my original flight, but would put me on a connecting flight with American Airlines in Chicago. The AA flight had engine trouble so it turned around and we borded another plane after we landed. The original flight would have had me to my destination by 9:30 pm. Instead I arrived at 1:08 am the next day. I am frustrated that my flight was canceled so close to my departure. It was a great inconvenience to those picking me up at the airport. It added to my stress. It made it much less likely that I will fly United again. Maybe you had good reason to cancel my flight at such short notice, but it severely tainted my experience and opinion of United and American Airlines which had been fairly positive until now.

Our plane was defective so had to be replaced. This is fine, I certainly am willing to wait for a new plane if it means not blowing up over the ocean. The problem was how little the attendants at the gate communicated the situation to us. What should have been a brief layover became a 12 hour nightmare. The gate attendants did finally issue meal vouchers but they waited until 10 minutes before all the restaurants closed and only issued $10 a person. This is enough to buy a hot dog at an airport... We were told there wouldn't be any rescheduling of missed connections until we were "airborne". This resulted in mass panic and confusion upon reaching our destination. We were told to go to the service desk, half an airport away, but once the entire passenger contents of the plane arrived at that far flung service desk, we were mostly turned away to seek help at individual gates. This lack of communication meant I missed the next next available connecting flight and now have a further six hour layover. I understand accidents happen and planes can break down but the nearly complete lack of care and customer attention is, frankly, disappointing. I've now had nearly an entire day added to my travel time. If I'd been willing to loose that time I would have paid $600 less for my ticket. United finally offered a token of their appreciation : a $100 e-voucher. I have spent more than that on food and coffee in airports for the past two days while trying to survive until my next connections.

I had to interrupt my flight and book another flight from Denver to Phoenix. Mass confusion to simply guarantee my checked bag would no continue on to Maui. I was told to keep my bag at the ticket desk in Dayton....scolded for doing so at the gate....then again scolded for same thing at gate for Denver to Phoenix. At least I kept track of my bag through it all.
