Cons: "SAS has introduced hand luggage measurement and weighing at checkin, for a maximum of 17.5 lbs or 8 kg. SAS does not care if you have flown on another transatlantic carrier, which allows more than 8 kg. Then you need to start emptying your hand luggage at checkin. The whole checkin process was a big mess, the contract employees eg. at Heathrow do not help much (they probably do not do this to any other airline). SAS staff does not remind you to take your IDs and passport, medications etc. from your hand luggage, which is then checkedin luggage as opposed to hand luggage. It is obvious that transatlantic passengers have more hand luggage than many local passengers."

Return leg had to be Ryanair and online check-in didn't work (ouch! - you have to pay extra to check in at the airport). I eventually found out (after frantic googling) that Kayak auto-generates an email address for you as part of the Ryanair booking process, and this is the one you need. I spent about 30 mins getting through to LM.Com overseas helpdesk trying to get hold of it. I also had to request hold baggage as a separate process and it took 10 days to confirm this had been arranged (again, I would have had to pay extra at the airport)."

Heathrow is an airport to be avoided if at all possible."

Cons: "TAP does not check your bags all the way through if you are having a layover. This makes NO SENSE and requires that you retrieve your luggage from baggage claim, and then check in once more and then another trip through security once again! This never happens in the US - one of the few things we get right. Also, I have never had to board a plan from the tarmac since 1970 in the US - why do we have to always wait for and take buses from our check in gate out to the flight line? And how is this ever considered, "Premium Boarding?" It's like a cattle car. Fix these things and I will sing the praises of TAP forever."

Cons: "Although I had a delicious gluten-free dinner roll with the main meal, I was served a soggy rice cracker for breakfast. Why not another roll?"

Pros: "The food and entertainment was good. We got into the plane ver quickly and we were seated towards the front"
Cons: "I have been flying for a while but it is so difficult to find out what fare class you have. the website is not helpful with bag check in information. $90 is way too much to check in a bag especially for an international flight the line at Lisbon for passports is way too long"

Pros: "First class accommodation was great! We had about a 3-hour flight and would have appreciated a blanket, pillow and a headset."
Cons: "I didn't like that first class was checked in first at the counter. But everyone rode on the same bus and disembarked at the same time so first class didn't really board the plane first. Some of the TAP counter employees were very unhelpful & actually dismissive. We had gate 19 and there was no sign of activity when it was time to board. When asked some counter employees, they couldn't care less. You should post something at the gate assigned about a gate change or delay. A lot of passengers were confused and uninformed."

Cons: "I did not like although my ticket had luggage allowance, TAP made my wife and I pay twice. Of course to pay needed endless and senseless wait and paying booth."

Cons: "The flight attendants didn't come around with anything to drink, except with meals. All international flights I have been on offer multiple drinks through the flight. They charged $80 for a suitcase. This was not a discounted ticket."

Cons: "The flight to NY was so cold that I had to wear my winter coat and hat the entire time and I was still cold."

Cons: "They gave my 70-year old mother only a few hours notice that they were changing her one-stop four-hour 6AM flight into an 8AM multi stop 14-hour marathon. In fact, she was already asleep when they changed her flight, so she was already at the airport when she found out about the change. To do this to a 70-year old woman is reprehensible. Worse, after 2-hours with customer service, nobody there made any real attempt to remedy the situation or offer any compensation. Worst airline experience EVER."

Cons: "We were advised as we boarded that there would be no meal/snack service on the 3 hour flight. There was no time to purchase food at this time. It would have been good to have a big sign in the check in desk or a PA announcement so passengers could make alternate arrangements."

Pros: "I had a flight from Madrid --> Lisbon airport with a final connection from Lisbon --> NYC JFK and we were delayed in Madrid therefore arriving at boarding time of our other flight in Lisbon. The crew was so professional and prepared that when we landed in Lisbon there was a bus that brought about 25 of us who were connecting with final destination to JFK to the closest door to go through passport control and board onto our flight to JFK that they held for a good 30-45 minutes until all of us made our connection. Very professional and organized. Much appreciated that I didn't miss my final connection! Love flying TAP and will continue to do so!"

Pros: "The service they provided us reminded us of how airlines used to treat their customers in the past. From the customer service to the services provided and the legroom on the flight -- everything was more than what we expected and we would consider flying TAP Portugal again."

Pros: "Crew was welcoming and service was great!"

Cons: "Less meat in the food, please. I somehow missed the opportunity to request a vegetarian meal, but many other airlines offer at least one vegetarian entree option (e.g., pasta)."
