The crew worked with great pains within a difficult situation. The flight was delayed by an hour, full flight had dirty lavatories without water from the get go! One of the middle lavatories could not lock! This plane should have been better serviced by ground crew before it departed Doha! Infotainment system is confusing, keep it simple and add more up to date movies. Even then, I will still fly QR over all else."

When we checked in for the flight, we had no ticket for the first leg of the flight, but we had tickets for the remaining flights. We immediately called to fix this problem, but due to slow customer service, we weren't issued tickets in time and the flight left without us. We missed all remaining connecting flights and were forced to buy New tickets. Now we have to work with kayak/priceline to get all my money back due to their error. We came back a day later than expected and missed going back to work."

We got stuck with $350 in baggage fees, because a clause stating that we were not allowed a check-in bag was buried in the fine print for our ticket purchase. The website was not working prior to our return flight, and if it had worked, we would have been able to get at least a discount on this outrageous fee. But , despite this, (we took a screenshot) the counter staff in Abu Dhabi would not give us the discount. A baggage fee for $350 dollars for one bag? There is word for this. Thievery."

The crew to abu Dhabi was Ok but I had the worst experience ever on the flight to Ahmedabad. I actually got yelled at by an air hostess because I accomodated an elderly couple to sit togather and I sat on next seat over. Not a common sense airline. The Abu Dhabi airport was hot as hell. Yes, inside the airport terminal was super hot, close to 90 degrees.... Emirates is far superior Airline than this."

Pros: "I managed to find a MUCH cheaper deal through Kayak, cheaper than directly through the airline (£200 cheaper in fact!), which was a great start to the trip. I was emailed a confirmation that my booking had been accepted through the airline within minutes, and it was easy to workout how to check myself in. Then I had zero hassles on the flights, so I'm really pleased with the service. I was even lucky enough to have a whole row to myself on both of my flights from England to Australia, which on a +24hr flight can be an absolute godsend. Staff were all friendly even encouraging us to move to alternate seats given there was sufficient space. The air crafts were tidy and it was easy transitioning from each connecting flight. Absolutely no hassle at all."
Cons: "The only points were that the inflight entertainment from Manchester to Abu Dhabi was a tiny step below standard but great choice in terms of films to watch, my second flight was on an A380 so there was an obvious difference in design standard between the 2 planes making the first flight less desirable, and the food was OK at best. On one of my flights I didn't eat the heated meal, any sides and only ate some of the dessert given the flavour was quite poor. An airline could do to raise the taste bar standard."

I suppose she was thinking in French, where people say "il faut faire…" To an English speaker "you should" doesn't sound soft. I think the flight attendant wasn't aware of the nuance in English. Food was terrible. Flight attendants could have been more helpful about my missed connection."
Cons: "Flight was overly delayed - as a result I missed my connection to Capetown and endured a lot of feeds in cancellation of pre-planned trips. Ground staff in Mumbai and Addis Ababa were awful. Mumbai staff was rude and inconsiderate. Addis Ababa team does not even make eye contact when talking to passengers. I could not wait for this travel to be over. Aircraft was mediocre.. During boarding, they don't seem to care about Priority passengers - despite my status with other Star Alliance carriers. Not sure I will fly by Ethiopian again."

Cons: "Flight was uncomfortable. They forgot my food and drink. The attendant sneezed on me without covering her mouth, my tv didn't work. The plane was dirty. I asked to be moved up to any of the 10 open seats in business and they said they can't. It was actually one of the worst flights I've ever taken anywhere in my life."
Pros: "Check in was brilliant. The incoming flight was half an hour early so they wanted to leave half hour early too. We were clearly instructed to be available at gate accordingly. Fabulous breakfast service in Business class too. Pre-order and indicate preferred time of service or to skip altogether so each customer got their required rest."

Cons: "Somewhat dirty ( and smelly ) aircraft even though they are a very new fleet. Some seats had strange patches and stains. Overall cabin experience can be improved in terms of hygiene and food quality ( food was mediocre or slightly worse). Seat ahead reclines almost too much into personal space in the new 787 aircraft. The LCD displays don't pivot so it's virtually impossible to view the entertainment when the occupant of the seat in front fully reclines ( a somewhat irritating issue on a long flight )"

Cons: "Unfortunately, I had to request earphones (which were not supplied in the seat pocket in front of me) five times from three different attendants over the course of an hour and a quarter before I was given them. This was not just so I could watch a movie but because the quality of the plane's public address system made it very difficult to listen to the announcements from the captain and the crew. Listening on earphones I was able to hear everything clearly. Why it had to take so long just to give me earphones I don't know."

Cons: "Hi, I have asked 3 members of the crew to get me a glass of water from the time I boarded the flight. It took 45 minutes for them to hand me a glass of water. I have to wait till they all got settled. Only when them to start the service they were able to give me some water. I was really thirsty otherwise, I wouldn't have to ask for three members. I think it's important that they respond more promptly and do a quick service considering the long flight we have."

Cons: "Equipment issue-tv not working well , unable to charge my cell phone USB port not working. 2. Food on my return flight was terrible I am a vegetarian was mostly served warmed up frozen vegetable which were terrible 3. Return trip set next to noisy people, had coffee spilled on my dress, was upset and did not enjoy return trip .Grateful for flight attendants who moved me to another seat."

Again lack of food, forced to take whatever food they give you or you're told sorry, how can one side serve only fish while the other side chicken??? Vegetarians doomed as they don't get anything & are left without food! Major improvement required in food choices & availability! Our row of seats did not have volume on the tv monitors hence could not use!"

Cons: "Customer service was horrible. Cancelled a trip within 24 hours of booking but put me through hours of waiting on the phone for assistance and still charged a 300 dollar fee. Our ticket was somehow suspended BY THEM so we had to call an office in a different country to unsuspeND then we were able to cancel. No help at all and kept dodging responsibility and forwarding the problem to other offices. Would book a different airline to avoid unneeded stress."
Pros: "The crew was very nice, beer on the flight is always a nice touch , plenty of food and beverages. Nice collection of movies and music. Food is OK. We had a 10 Hour connection at Addis Ababba, and we were provided with a city tour at the first time, and hotel at the second. I liked the Injira :)"
Cons: "Overall, it's kinda depressing to fly with Ethiopian, the whole experience, from the colors of the uniforms, to the big African people, there was not enough room to seat next to other person, we and some people we met on the flight experienced the same thing. Addis Ababba was very not welcoming, we had a small tour at the city, the people are aggressive, we heard a lot of "farengie" all the time - "foreigners", everything was very expensive, because tourist have a lot of money... they are not afraid to touch you, even at the face. if somebody offers you guiding, they will ask for money later on and will take you to expensive places."
