I needed internet for critical matters and it never worked.
No seat back entertainment. And app had a hard time getting entertainment loaded.
It was great with United overall except for two things. 1) It was a 5-hour flight and we were with kids, so we were asking for extra snacks. They were extremely reticent to dole them out even though there wasn't any meal and the kids were starting to hit their limit towards the end. 2) Baggage didn't arrive until 80 minutes after we landed.
Seats had less pitch than a regional jet. Food was OK. Have to buy alcohol on US based carriers flying international. Boarding was a mess. Did not have bags but overhead space was gone quick. Would like to see the airlines enforce the one bag over and one bag under policy
Great smooth flight. Had a seating change, but that was an improvement. Thanks United Airways Crew.
Staff was rude. Didn’t give water for 2 hours. Worst service
We took off an hour late due to arrival airport not having enough gates. That was followed by 1:30 wait to get our bags delivered for the entire flight.
Slight delay but not bad. UA app worked well! Got regular updates of gate changes, etc. Don't have any complaints.
It’s a service to take you from one point to another. No frills. You want it, you take it. It’s upon you to bring food, reading material, games to play, movies to watch, etc. The wifi onboard never works - so you cannot even listen to any podcasts, music, or get updated news feeds. The toilet is a mess, and a four flight does not need any hygienic interventions when people either splatter their pee all over the seats or on the floor. It’s a monopolized service and so smile and bear it.
If other people in flight, followed instructions and were much cleaner.
I was pleasantly surprised. I've never flown this airline and the seats were comfy, I couldn't select my seat but luckily got aisle and was able to comfortably sleep the whole trip except when they came around with an in flight free meal, drinks then snack at the end. I'd fly with Aer Lingus again. The only annoying thing is you had to pay for WiFi for different hours of usage but luckily I didn't need it
The embarkation at Dublin was a kin to a Ryanair approach, in other words a circuitous and cheep access
Most narrow seat of my life. Easyjet has larger seats. And as I just wrote in the last comment section - Seat 1A promises luxury after a great businessflight. Instead, it's narrow, the seatbelt is 20cm shorter than the one in 1B, it's just a joke.
No snacks, drinks or coffee. No entertainment, not comfortable seats
This was a great flight. I love the way they had general boarding board from the back first by seat row and in general the flight was very comfortable. The seats were actually comfy, and the food served was surprisingly good.
A seat was broken There was a delay of 45min A checked bag was missing in Boston
The service was some of the worst I have experienced on an international flight. The service was rude, the quality of the food was very low. The speed of service was insanely quick. You couldn’t finish your pretzels before the meal came before the coffee came before trash collection came. Then they never came back for 5 hours. They rushed everything so they could get it over with.
A special shout-out to one of the check-in staff at DUB yesterday noon. We had to use the "Closing Flights" counter and we met, hands down, the most efficient person - able to resolve several issues in the matter of minutes, while remaining polite and calming everyone down. Great job, Aer Lingus!
Air Lingus was in no hurry to get us on the plane as sat at the gate a long time before they boarded us. Then they leave us on the tarmac for an hour. They were no help to let me know what I needed to do to get home. I had to navigate London Heathrow with 0 help from them.
The delay was very discouraging--- having to wait in the airport during the heat wave after a long flight from the US was a challenge.
Broke my luggage and I can't get a resolution yet.
There were no TV screens - even in Business class. 5 delays, and only given $12 meal voucher! Terrible!
Flight was delayed again and again ultimately almost three hours getting us to our location at close to midnight by the time we got in and out of airport to destination. I had taken time off work to enjoy an evening at destination and that was now wasted
No food/snack served during the flight. Crew wasn’t interested at all. Flew American First but flying low cost with Ryanair is even better
The flight was good. The only reason I did not say “excellent” was the delay
They could have done a better job announcing the boarding groups and asked for more drinks (water) if needed.
Ac was broken so we deplaned, waited 2 hours, taxiing for takeoff they said the plane would not fly so we went back to the gate and got a new plane which took another hour. In all a 4 hour delay for an 80 min flight.
We were delayed bc ground crew gave the flight crew the wrong paperwork. We taxiied to the runway then back to the gate to get the correct paperwork that no one bothered reviewing the first time we pushed back. Boarding was rude and stressful like it always is. Gate agents and flight attendants are all over 55 years of age, embittered by years of underpayment From AA leading to their passive agressive bitchiness for no reason.
Boarding time was easy & quick. Crew was excellent. In-flight entertainment was great/easy. Seats are too small and not enough room between rows: felt like a sardine/very cramped.
Ground crew forced me to double pay for infant international charges, when I complained about this and told them, with proof, I already paid they threaten to not allow me on the plane because I was “being rude”. Horrible ground management, horrible airline.
