Cons: "American Airlines alone received over $10 billion in COVID relief, yet they are steadfast on a policy that separates customers on the same reservation (basic economy). $$$ over health & safety. Other airlines are leaving the middle row empty while AA wants a second bailout from Congress. Shameful!"

I am now stuck here since that was the last flight back. The earliest flight available is next day at 12pm which means I am going to miss work and I have been on hold with AA customer service exactly for 3 hrs now and still holding."

Cons: "Entertainment was nonexistant. Most movies were unavailable and those that were would start and then say “no longer available” monitor did not work. I was not the only passenger with issues. Many could not get system to work. Antiquated and/or poorly maintained. Also, announcement made it seem as if you had to pay for wine/beer/spirits. I wasn’t drinking so it didnt matter but at other times this would have been a hassle. Never had this on an international flight. Flight was okay just not top drawer like it used to be. Cost cutting measures have impacted the brand. Would not say it is first tier. Dont mind a “no frills” flight if it results in lower cost to consumer (aka Southwest Airlines)"
Pros: "On time. Was able to sleep through much of what was likely an annoying flight because there was no personal entertainment--the tiny screens overhead would have been impossible to see and they were showing a movie that was lame. It seemed anachronistic."
Cons: "At the Lima gate they made each passenger open their carryon and submit to a secondary inspection to confiscate all water we bought past security. No warning was given about this. I had paid airport prices for water to bring onto the plane and then had to surrender it at the gate. Of course in economy class they will not give you water or attention until you are at cruising altitude. More than one flight attendant did not smile and one was actually rude in spite of my attempts to be kind and smile. Except for one friendly person at check-in kiosk, bad service overall. They do not have personal entertainment systems, and it was like going back in time with the tiny screens you cannot see, playing a movie you either watch it or not."
Pros: "I found the crew to be nice and friendly and the breakfast was good."
Cons: "It seems like American Airlines has lived up to its reputation. More seats in a plane and less comfort. On top of that, the entertainment system has not been upgraded since the 70's. TV monitors in the middle and everyone has to watch the same thing. Of course, the sound system did not work for one entire side of the plane so I could only watch the movie and not hear it. If you are not going to have individual monitors for each seat, allow your passengers to what from their mobil devises like almost all other airlines are doing."

Cons: "Kayak/JustFly charged us a fee to pre-select our seats which was appealing traveling with a baby. However, upon checking in, we found that the seats were not reserved and the fee was a marketing ploy. The airline attempted to separate our family of 3, but luckily it was not a full flight and we were able to sit together with no help from Kayak, JustFly, British Airways, or American. Kayak/JustFly made the experience of traveling overseas with a baby more challenging than it otherwise would have been which is a terrible way to conduct business. We will never be using these services again and will tell family and friends to do the same."

My husband and I are both enrolled in the AA frequent flyer program and had at least 6 people cut in front of us while on-line. When we finally approached the AA representative, Dayana Gómez, She was rude and not helpful. Our seats on the UIO-Dallas flight did not even recline. We sat completely upright for the duration of the 6 hour overnight night flight into Dallas."
Cons: "American refused to board me becouse LAN did not send the reservation to AA system. Flight was full and AA did not even talk with me about what to do. They just unloaded my bag allready checked to MIA.. After two hours standing at LAN counter they changed my flight to Lima and than to Miami. I came to Miami 12 hours late, very disappointed by this service. According to AA my ticket was never confirmed by the airline !! How can you sell it to customer ??"

Pros: "Our plane was grounded before take-off because of a mechanical issue, and the airline did a good job of informing us of the status of the repairs and eventual aircraft replacement. They offered us sandwiches, snacks and drinks for during our long delay."

She refused to explain to us how the emergent slide worked. We asked because the visual instructions on the door were different from those in the seat back pamphlet. In fact, I still don't know which directions are the correct ones (they were contradictory)."
Cons: " the "group system" boarding process arranges passengers in an aleatory way making the process totally chaotic. For instance last groups are the last ones to enter the aircraft and don't easily find space for the hand luggage. They have to accommodate bags under the front seat making the already uncomfortable trip more painful. Also this process may delay the departure time.  Food service is terrible. no options, specially for kids or people with food restrictions. Not even the payed ones offer healthy food alternatives.  No comfort at all for a flight that departs little before midnight and arrives at 7 am at its destination. They forgot about the pillows and blankets you find in other airlines.  at the end, when I collected my baggage I realized 1 wheel was missing from one of my suitcases. I informed the airline and 3 days later I receive an email saying that the airline is not responsible for damages that include wheels and other "baggage accessories" I did not rate the flight poor because at least it manages to arrive to its final destination..."
