Daily cleaning, installation of cabin HEPA filters on flights from Flint to Ireland
Ireland is not currently implementing any entry restrictions, but all travelers arriving in the country from areas except Northern Ireland are required to complete a Public Health Passenger Locator Form.
Travelers must complete a COVID-19 Passenger Locator Form before arrival, at https://cvd19plf-prod1.powerappsportals.com/en-us/
From January 16, all arriving travelers (except those arriving from Northern Ireland) must present a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 PCR test result issued within 72 hours prior to their arrival. Children aged 6 and under are exempt from this requirement. International transport workers, including workers in aviation, maritime and road haulage sectors are also exempt from this requirement where they are traveling in the course of performing their duties. Anyone who arrives without a PCR test, is required to take a test within 36 hours of arrival.
All travelers are subject to a 14-day quarantine period and must be undertaken at the address specified on the Passenger Locator Form. Persons who travel from another country to Ireland, and arrive via Northern Ireland, must also observe the mandatory quarantine regime.
Travelers may leave to take a RT-PCR test no less than 5 days after their arrival – if they receive written confirmation that the result of this test is negative/ ‘not detected’ their period of quarantine can end.
All travelers arriving from the Brazil and South Africa must complete the full 14 days of quarantine – regardless of whether they have a negative test result.
There some limited exemptions from the requirement to complete mandatory quarantine: Patients traveling for urgent medical reasons, international transport workers in possession of an Annex 3 Certificate; Drivers of Heavy Goods Vehicles; Aviation and maritime crew, Gardaí/defence forces, while carrying out their duties, travel to the State pursuant to an arrest warrant, extradition proceedings or other mandatory legal obligation, diplomats, or travel to perform the function of or provide services to an office holder or elected representative, transit passengers who arrive for the purposes of traveling to another state, and who do not leave the port or airport.
There are currently 190,587 active cases of COVID-19 diagnosed in IE and 4,300 deaths as of Feb 27 2021

Pros: "Great Friendly Cabin Crew"
Cons: "Entertainment System Poor choice of films - Bad Sound System"
Cons: "Hotel was rubbish"
Pros: "My trip had two legs, Austin to Heathrow and Heathrow to Riyadh. The crew from Heathrow to Riyadh were great. I wish I could say the same about the crew from Austin to Heathrow."
Cons: "Overall, the flight was fine. My comments are relative to BA 1st class. At best, I would rate it in the middle of the business class flights I've flown on other airlines. There is nothing about the experience that is actually 1st class from a separate lounge, to boarding, to in flight meals. The seats on my planes were worse than Turkish Airlines Business class (among many others). Storage around the seat is also FAR worse than other airlines products, even in business class. I had taken the same flights in November and 95-98% of the entertainment options were the same. There were, maybe, 2 new movies and 2-3 new documentaries/TV shows. The in seat charger only worked on one leg. Several meal options were "sold out." Mediocre at best."
Cons: "Rude staff"
Pros: "great crew great seats great entertainment great pilots great food and the greatest airline in the world"
Cons: "free wifi"
Cons: "Wheelchair assistance at Heathrow was very very slow it took 2 hours to change gates within Terminal 5"
Pros: "The check-in process was expeditious, aircraft was quiet, crew were accommodating and flight comfortable."
Cons: "I did feel a bit disconnected during the drink service as the cabin crew member came and passed the juices to each person"
Pros: "Good service, entertainment screen were good. Food was good."
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "Having to take a bus from the plane to the terminal. This would make me fly via Amsterdam to the US to avoid these connections"
Cons: "Flight was delayed and had to sit on the tarmac for 40 minutes. Almost missed the next flight. Rude British Airways stewards."
Pros: "Pretty basic service."
Cons: "The late morning flight we booked was eliminated from the schedule, requiring us to book an early morning flight. This resulted in our having to spend our last night in a hotel near the airport rather than in Rome. It also resulted in a 4+ hour layover at Heathrow, rather than the 2 hours we anticipated. Very disappointing."
Pros: "Check in and crew were very nice"
Cons: "Baggage was slow But everything was fine Pilot kept us informed"
Pros: "Friendly staff."
Cons: "Flight delayed. No complimentary beverages."
Pros: "New bedding is comfortable!"
Cons: "1. No toiletries were available for business class even on this flight. 2. There was no food choice especially if you prefer vegetarian. 3. Even if One presses a button to request for some water, no one comes to the seat; this habit of BA continues for the good part of the last decade. Reminded me why I stopped flying BA! 4. No wifi even in Business class! Someone in senior management of BA needs to fly SQ, Cathay, Qatar, Emirates and learn what can be improved. Most of these airlines have better service in economy than business on BA!"
Pros: "Boarding was easy, the crew was very nice and attentive and came through with tea and snacks regularly, besides the complimentary meals and drinks. Entertainment options were great."
Cons: "Seats, always the seats. The human body is not meant to sit in a tiny cramped, poorly shaped seat for 11 hours."
Pros: "Nothing really was good or stood out in a positive way."
Cons: "Horrible lie flat seats with absolutely no stowage room. Seats are super cramped with 8 in a row you feel like being transported in a cattle car. Crew was most decidedly unfriendly. We were boarded on time despite the fact BA knew the flight was delayed and sat at the gate for an hour. Food was equivalent to hospital food. U must be crazy to fly business in BA. Never again."
Pros: "Entertainment selections were good."
Cons: "Screen was not working properly and very hazy, grainy and full of grids."
Pros: "Eats are comfortable"
Cons: "We were on the ground for three hours before we could take off. I ended up missing my flight from London to Madrid and my luggage got lost for a day because they switched my flight."
Cons: "At security London Heathrow, it took 30 minutes for them to check 1 bag of ours! Almost didn't make the flight."
Cons: "Flight was delayed almost an hour. Not even free water. You had to buy it."
Pros: "Excellent space and timely departure and arrival."
Cons: "Food needs work and movie/tv selection could be expanded. Desired dinner selection was unavailable and second dinner option was extremely salty."
Pros: "More seat room. 18inch width. Smaller cabins. Soooo quiet."
Cons: "Everything... including from London to Venice I need check my small luggage and they broke all . The small and the big one how I can be reimbursed for the damages? I need throw in the garbage both luggage’s now..I am really mad about it."
Pros: "The entertainment, food and crew were good"
Cons: "The seats on the 747-400 were less comfortable than the Airbus 300 going to London. The airbus also provided several more inches of legroom."
Cons: "Flight was delayed for 40 minutes"
Pros: "Flight was great, processed quickly both sides. Cabin crew were lovely."
Pros: "Nothing. Just about delivered the minimum of what is expected of an airline, but did not over achieve. Definitely not the wow experience that BA advertises"
Cons: "BA / Heathrow staff at the gate were rude, barely could understand what they were saying. The plane was an old 747 that needs an upgrade. Cabin crew were disorganized and seemed out of their depth"
Pros: "Very attentive, kind caring"
Pros: "Friendly crew"
Cons: "In world traveler class when the person of front of you puses the seat back be prepared to hold on to your drinks and food."
Pros: "Checking in online 24 hours prior to departure I received up-dates thrice regarding the delay of the flight which was very convenient. I had also learned about the protections that I enjoy as a passenger checking in online. The flight caught up in terms of timing as I had to catch a connecting flight to the continent from London. I was very pleased, also with the courteous flight attendents, the food, the entertainment selection and sufficient leg room in economy class. Overall a lovely experience, indeed!"
Pros: "Friendly and patient flight attendants"
Cons: "No drink service"
Pros: "- The flight itself was adequate in all aspect for a short haul flight"
Cons: "- The security process ahead of boarding is poorly organized, staffed with some rude and unprofessional agents and with inconsistent requirement in between different passengers"
Pros: "Everything but paying for the bags and no food w/o paying... so be it"
Cons: "Didn't like everything being extra, why, not even water and a cookie... no food and no bag and no TV is just super low client service I wish for more"
Cons: "British Airways carrier American Airlines was not clearly notified on tickets/boarding passes/itineraries nor was there any communication between the carriers, so when I checked into British Airways I got no help expediting my check in at American. It was confusing and no one was helpful and instead flip. At American every interaction, whether about connecting flight boarding passes, my five and half hour delay or seating left me feeling unimportant and disrespected. I will never use either airline again nor Kayak"
Pros: "Flight crew"
Cons: "* LHR T3 departure - appalling terminal * Baggage checked in at BA desk but collected to one side because of baggage belt failure * Captain must have known that 2 containers had not been loaded * Arrival at MRS to eventually find that luggage had not travelled on the flight * Inept handling by ground service partner Avia Partner * Baggage re-flighted on following flight and arrived at MRS at 16:00 with Avia Partners only offering to deliver after 13:00 the following day * BA in-flight service badly let down by ground handling at LHR and MRS"
Pros: "boarding and timing"
Cons: "fly attendants were kind of rude.. One completely ignore me while taking the order of the passengers sitting just next to me. The other one couldn't even say thank you when I did her job by bringing my garbage to her station. It was my first BA flight and I was not expecting those unfriendly attitude from british people."
Pros: "Flying BA is like flying any other American provider. The service was good, the food was meager and mediocre. We flew the same route with SWISS Air a few months ago and the seats are a bit more comfy and the food, snacks and drink were more frequent and delicious."
Cons: "Nothing not to like, just have had better for same economy ticket."
Pros: "From London to Seattle we were upgraded from Premium Economy to First Class! Beautiful experience for our travel weary family of 4! Could not have been better - food/ drink/ comfort/ service all excellent! So this is how the other half lives!"
Pros: "The staff were friendly and boarding/ getting off were a breeze. I loved how much space the aircraft had inside."
Cons: "I don't get no dinner on the flight from Miami to London Heathrow and I felt faint from hunger on board. When I complain to one of the flight crew ,we one hour and forty five minutes left to land, she gave me a pretzel bunch and a cup of tea."
Pros: "Air crew were good but could not help with the problems"
Cons: "broken table Broken TV therefore no entertainment for over 5 hrs"
Pros: "I liked the nice crew. Short flight from Paris and arrived in LHR little early. Even in economy, seats were confortable. The 1.5 hr Flight was very smooth and short."
Cons: "I can't say that there wasn't anything that I didn't like about this particular flight from Paris to London."
Pros: "nice plane and seats left on time"
Cons: "no water or coffee offered unless you paid for food"
Cons: "The food make me literally sick. I had the chicken curry and soon and soon after had vomiting and diarrreha. On the way back there was massive amount of turbulence. They completely ran out of diet sofa and the flight crew was rude and abrasive."
Cons: "Boarding was a nightmare. Staff were rude and did not communicate well. I am a million miler with Umited & I wished I had flown with them!!"
Pros: "Food was excellent for an airline, free wine doesn't hurt. Crew was polite."
Cons: "Very cramped seating, seats and blankets looked dated (read: kind of gross)."
Pros: "The bad elements of this flight experience far outweigh anything that might have been acceptable."
Cons: "Our flight was plagued by issues which were both avoidable and unavoidable. Here is a list - * I was able to check-in online but my husband was not and kept receiving error messages (no big deal) * Upon arrival at the check-in counter, the line was incredibly long. I understand this happens but of the employees working, only 2 were checking in bags and 3 others were just standing there chatting and talking into walky talkies. * Flight from Rome to Heathrow was late for no apparent reason, landed 45 minutes prior to our connection flight. I inquired with our flight attendant about the potential to make boarding and he said they would let us know. We landed on the tarmac and had to be bussed to the terminal. Not once after we landed did the flight crew mention one word about connecting flights. Never have I had that experience in 44 years. Additionally, there was no direction regarding priority for boarding the busses. When we finally entered the terminal, an airline employee displayed a sign calling for passengers connecting on a flight to San Diego which was taking off just 10 minutes after ours to San Jose. A choice few of these folks were driven over to their boarding gate while many of us were left behind. * When we made it the recommended "Fastrack Express" the attendant informed us that we had already been cancelled out of our connecting flight to San Jose (this was 30 minutes before take off)! We were directed to go wait in line to re-book our flights. * After an hour in line we learned that the couple behind us had already been re-booked onto that evening flight to SJ, which would have been the next out. I wonder how that happens when you are further behind in line? After waiting 4.5 hours in line. We were told that and approximately 3 other convenient flights which would have been a possibility were no longer available since we had been made to wait for so long. There were no places to sit, no numbering system, we did not eat at all that day until 11pm and that was after waiting another 45 minutes to get our passports stamped and then stupid bus ride. *We were forced to miss hosting my best friend's baby shower the next morning. We were sent on an hour long bus trip to another airport in Gatwick to sleep in a hotel for 6 hours and then return bus trip back to Heathrow only to fly into an airport which is an hour away from our home as as opposed to 10 minutes. *Not once in all that time did a manager come out and let customers know the cause of the inconvenience. The window service to re-book was haughty and entitled, rather than thoughtful and efficient. I was insulted by the lack of customer service, the shoddy organization, communication and lack common sense. The only saving grace was that they booked us on a different airline for our return flight where we received decent service. We incurred extra charges due to the change in arrival location - all around failure on British Airways. Not happy at all."
Pros: "Short and convenient flight"
Cons: "My hand luggage was taken to be checked in"
Pros: "Nice food, polite, warm and competent staff, blankets and pillows at every seat. Kids enjoyed all the shows. You knew you were not flying an airline that cut corners."
Cons: "Plane crew had to reassign seats since plane used had a different configuration than one listed at check-in. That took a long time, but crew was experienced and calm and handled it."
Cons: "When you buy basic economy they put you in zone 9 for boarding. When i checked in online, they didnt even give me and my wife seats together."
Cons: "Late as usual"
Pros: "Really a nice meal and good service"
Pros: "Seat 5A was great"
Pros: "The wine"
Pros: "Nothing much but the crew made up for some of it."
Cons: "ORD and the roads approaching nothing short of a nightmare. Chicago should be embarrassed by the whole experience at ORD."
Cons: "Waiting for 30 minutes a Dublin to dock."
Pros: "Easy boarding crew were friendly food was hot"
Cons: "Seating was a pain to try and get 2 seats together even though I booked it months in advance very noisy rude people couldn't sleep on a supposed overnight am exhausted"
Pros: "Went on time and looked after very well"
Cons: "Going over leg room, a bit tight"
Pros: "The staff were very friendly and helpful"
Cons: "Bag checkin had already been done online but did it again in terminal, weigh in lady not helpful or friendly, quite abrupt. Onboard seating cramped and worse when front seats were reclined."
Pros: "Things went very smoothly."
Cons: "Long layover"
Cons: "Seats are small, tight and don’t recline much."
Cons: "For our delay with no information"
Pros: "Movie selection, drinks"
Cons: "Kayak/JustFly charged us a fee to pre-select our seats which was appealing traveling with a baby. However, upon checking in, we found that the seats were not reserved and the fee was a marketing ploy. The airline attempted to separate our family of 3, but luckily it was not a full flight and we were able to sit together with no help from Kayak, JustFly, British Airways, or American. Kayak/JustFly made the experience of traveling overseas with a baby more challenging than it otherwise would have been which is a terrible way to conduct business. We will never be using these services again and will tell family and friends to do the same."
Pros: "Everything was okay and scheduled for me, I just walked into the airline and showed my passport"
Cons: "I would like to get a 24 hour before remainder and chance to pick my sits!"
Pros: "Plane and staff were great. Very easy boarding process and we landed early in Dublin airport after an hour delayed take off. Food and staff service was very good, no complaints."
Cons: "No idea how they messed up the take off and landing times so greatly. left an hour late and arrived an hour early. No personal entertainment screen and plugs were not working."
Pros: "On time flights, friendly crew"
Pros: "All is well."
Cons: "No worthwhile complaints."
Pros: "Excellent service. Loved the tv screens with the remote. Exclennt flignt"
Pros: "Got to pick my seat. Got food. Spacious. Timely. Friendly. And best of all.. the middle seat was open and I got some extra leg room!"
Cons: "Hey for airplane food I can't complain. Especially since I didn't even know I'd be getting any. (For free!). The chicken and mashed potatoes were a little funky but still ate and enjoyed it."
Cons: "Too tight, seat was uncomfortable, food was bland"
Pros: "There was a lot to see"
Cons: "The screens were severely delayed and frustrating."
Pros: "I appreciated the American Airlines crew at the gate in Chicago, who helped us to get two seats together. The flight crew was excellent as well."
Cons: "Not being able to choose our seats beforehand."
Pros: "Nothing whatsoever"
Cons: "I was confused by the Brot"
Pros: "Prompt and curtious"
Pros: "The food was good and the flight attendants were great."
Cons: "No personal entertainment, just the old TVS every 6-8 rows."
Cons: "food options, departure delay"
Cons: "We booked a round-trip flight on AA from Philadelphia to Dublin. Due to changes in our travel plans we revised our flight dates. The phone customer service rep who helped me make the changes, assured me that the AA policy was to group families together after she informed me that I could not choose our seat assignments at that time. Arriving at the Philadelphia airport, we used the self service kiosk to check-in. The issued boarding passes put my wife and me in different rows on one side of the plane, and our nine year old son on the other. I asked a roving AA customer service rep if it would be possible to change our seat assignments and explained what we were told when rebooking. She waved vaguely in the direction of the baggage counter, and told us we could change our seats when checking our baggage. We brought out baggage to the counter and informed the customer service rep working there what we were told by the kiosk and phone representatives. She immediately yelled at us and told us to calm down, even though we were merely asking and explaining. Each time we attempted to explain our situation or ask where we could seek assistance, she bristled. Finally, she told us we should go to the main check-in counter because she could not change seat assignments. The check-in counter rep was very brusque. She said she could not change anything because we had boarding passes and should accept the locations because it was an international flight; however we could ask at the gate if changes could be made. At the gate, service was provided for three flights - Dublin, London, and Manchester(?). We stood briefly in line and were motioned up to a desk for the London flight. I informed the customer service rep that we were travelling to Dublin, and what we were told by the previous AA representatives. Without checking to see if was possible to seat the three of us together, he told us that he could only put my wife and son together. Somewhat relieved, we asked him to revise their seat locations. He made the changes and handed us our new boarding passes. As we walked away from the counter, I noticed that the new boarding passes were for the London flight and did not have my wife's or son's names. We returned to the counter and told him that there had been mistakes made. He immediately snatched the passes from us and berated us for not telling him that we were not going to London. I told him that we had told him of our destination as soon as we approached the counter. He retrieved our original passes from the trash and told us to wait for the Dublin flight reps to arrive. Immediately, I called the AA toll-free number and informed the phone agent of all that had happened. She was able to locate two seats together for my wife and son, and told me to inform the gate reps of the information. Because of character limitations I cannot tell of the counter rep who was an angel and managed to seat the three of us together. Thank you!!!"
Pros: "I liked that we got into Dublin earlier than expected. I really liked the amount of legroom-- It's rare for me to be able to sleep and I did. Thank you!"
Cons: "nothing to complain about--"
Pros: "Food and "free" drinkscomfort of seats overall"
Cons: "Comfort of seats in which to sleep"
Cons: "7 hour flights must have good entertainment facilities like individual screen wherein you can choose your own. I don't normally get a good sleep on planes so a good entertainment is a must for me..."
Pros: "Free alcohol and good passenger friends and friendly service."
Cons: "No outlets for phones"
Pros: "Gave us plenty of food and entertainment"
Cons: "the touchscreen for the inflight entertainment wasn't working properly - slow/unresponsive on the right side - and the announcements were deafening over headphones"
Cons: "Wasn't able to catch up this flight because of the cancellation of the connecting flight."
Pros: "The crew were beyond excellent and tried to help with the seats. They were also very apologetic for the seat issue."
Cons: "Our seats had no power and couldn't adjust. The crew manually did it for us but we never got it to go close to flat. We were on an old 757 which is such an embarrassing product for AA compared to the new or refurbished planes."
Pros: "The seats were comfortable and entertainment great"
Cons: "No complaints!"
Pros: "Seating way too tight"
Pros: "The flight was very smooth. No delays or last minute surprises."
Cons: "Person next to me didn't say much. Not the airlines fault."
Cons: "the plane was old and uncomfortable. No entertainment although it was a long international flight."
Cons: "The plane had no TV in front of the seat for a international flight, the space was tiny as well. I could never recommend this to anyone else."
Pros: "Crew were very nice and efficient"
Cons: "a little difficult to check in on line as we booked through Finn Air but was AA operated therefore the many reference codes did not work and had to call agent but got it worked out."
Pros: "Crew was very nice."
Cons: "All was fine would be nice to have individual screens but that is minor"
Cons: "When we arrived to Chicago we discovered that the airline had tried to "fix" out connecting flight and in the process I was accidentally removed from the same flight as my husband and we were both forced to take detours through London since we had missed our direct flight. Our checked baggage was lost for 2 days. The London airport has more strict rules for carry-on bags and liquids so much of our items were confiscated and the worst part of all was being told at the gate in Chicago that they didn't know why I was removed from the flight but that I would not be allowed to board because they couldn't reach anyone at the American Airlines desk. We pleaded for help for over an hour and were basically asked to sit down and be ignored. I was sobbing when my husband and I were separated and we were worried we might not find eachother in London or in our final destination of Dublin since we had no cell service."
Pros: "Nonstop flight food service entertainment choices"
Cons: "This flight was run by American Airlines. That was never communicated to us. We had to figure it out on our own. We booked a Finnair flight, then had to figure out that it was actually American. This was incredibly poor communication and should have been handled differently."
Pros: "It was fine. I don't really like to fly because I tend to get queasy. The pilot missed all of the pot holes. There were not any crying children or loud talkers. Bonus! If I could have propped up my legs on the seat back in front of me it would have been perfect!"
Pros: "Good value"
Cons: "Poor food quality"
Cons: "The food.... But you already know that, don't you."
Pros: "Seats more comfortable than expected. Crew and staff was friendly and accommodating."
Cons: "While we were pleased with personal tv in front of each seat, the use was cumbersome."
Pros: "Food, entertainment and free checked bag. Can ask for more!"
Pros: "Great experience!"
Pros: "Flight crew was top notch"
Cons: "The boarding procédure in Dublin requires à long walks in 3 différent locations. Should be ma de shorter"
Pros: "The funny crew"
Cons: "Softer landing"
Pros: "Easy boarding, easy flight"
Cons: "Food served a little earlier, with beverages first. There was also buzzing in the headset when I was watching a movie."
Pros: "CRES was great"
Cons: "Many of us waited about 40 minute for our bags to show up in the reclaim area."
Cons: "Seats were a little uncomfortable but overall not bad."
Pros: "I didn’t die in a plane crash."
Cons: "They missed the connecting flight the day before, so we had to fly out the next day on a flight that left ~1 hour late. I know the staff is doing what they can so I blame the execs making millions because they’re typically the real problem anyway."
Pros: "The crew was awesome! Best flight I've ever had."
Pros: "Big windows"
Cons: "Too cold during red eye"
Cons: "My economy plus seat wouldn’t recline!"
Cons: "We didn't fly here"
Cons: "I wasn’t able to take the flight due to illness. Called Just Fly and airline for help - was on hold for hours. Both refused to help me. I am now out of pocket over $700. Appalling customer service by both airline and agent. Planning to report to the Better Business Bureau and travel authorities."
Cons: "Landed in Canada to let off a "sick" passenger, sat there for hours and after the pilot made countless excuses, including needing to refuel, needing a new route, and needing to de-ice the plane, he finally announced that we're headed all the way back to Newark for some unknown reason. Worst flight ever. Couldn't be any less happy. F*** this airline. Will never use again. Ruined my vacation, thanks a lot."
Pros: "Crew members were pleasant"
Cons: "Gate was changed to a gate much farther away. Flight was delayed for 4 different reasons all of which were unlikely. We left 4 hours late. On board the plane was freezing cold. I will NEVER fly United Airlines again."
Pros: "flight was on time and the crew was friendly."
Pros: "The staff was amazing made you feel really confident!"
Cons: "Boarding was horrific I paid for insurance my seat was in the middle of 2 HUGE guys and I'm 6'4...I thought my insurance would give me some kind of courtesy boarding/seating!"
Pros: "they gave a $100 voucher"
Pros: "Arriving in Dublin"
Cons: "Seat was cramped and uncomfortable"
Pros: "Seat size in premium economy."
Cons: "Food and presentation were weak."
Pros: "An empty seat in the middle."
Cons: "The seat in front of me reclined further than all the rest and the new seats that United has installed are incredibly uncomfortBle especially for a long international flight!!"
Pros: "I didnt know I could only bring one item on board that had to be checked UNDERNEATH the seat in front of me. I didnt have the "right" ticket for over head storage. I had to buy a box for $15 to put my purse in and THEN pay $35 to check my PURSE in! I couldnt check in early. I had to go to the gate to get a seat assignment and then even though my assigned seat was in the 10th row, I then had to line up in groups like Southwest and I guess my punishment for sitting in economy was to wait to board last. I felt like third class boarder on the Titanic. United has become less than a Greyhound bus. They will NEVER be my first choice again! It was HORRIFIC I will go to ANY other airlines before them. P.S. the service at the Houston counter were rude and awful except for Ms. Edwards"
Pros: "I liked that we arrived on time and that the entertainment actually worked properly."
Cons: "I didn't like the fact that my husband and i had one option only and that was Indian vegan vegetarian dish. We were told that's all there was left. We gave back our tray. I don't mind going without food for a flight but my husband had surgery die to diverticulitis and can only eat certain food. The flight attendant said that she was going to check if there is anything left in first class but it took for ever and I become impatient as the light were turned off and people were getting ready to sleep. So I switch on the light and another flight attendant came by. I explained the situation but she came back with the same Indian vegetarian dish we turned away. After more frustration and explanation the Stewart came with the. Hi Ken version. I gave my husband my share and he was able to finally take his medication and eat the chicken with the bread. I only ate the ice cream and had a glass of wine. Later on the first flight attendant who served us the meal came with a couple of oranges and a bag of chips. Saying she got this from first class. I kept the oranges and gave her back the chips. Floghing with United is very disappointing to put it mildly."
Pros: "The flight was not overbooked, there were no fights and there was plenty of space. Comfortable flight!"
Cons: "Over 4 hours of delays including on plane then everyone was kicked off. We waited more and they cancelled the whole flight and everyone had to scramble to get on anything available. I lost 28 hours of my vacation. They put us in a scary hotel in Chicago. I received a $200 voucher for further flights that doesn't even cover the cost of my unrefundable expenses such as car, hotel and tickets that were lost on my vacation."
Pros: "Entertainment was good"
Cons: "Flight delayed for 2.5 hours. Food at airport terminal specific to United ridiculously expensive, particularly for a family, e.g.. $8.50 for French fries, etc."
Pros: "We made it to Dublin..."
Cons: "Crew was terrible, grumpy and not welcoming. Boarding was terrible, 4 hours late. No compensation, little apology. Food was awful. Couldn't really tell what we were actually eating. Actually hated this flight."
Pros: "I loved the butternut squash pasta. I plan on making this recipe at home. The staff was also very pleasant and accommodating."
Cons: "My seat was uncomfortable and the person in front of me kept reclining. I had very little space to try and make myself comfortable. I am 110lbs, so I can't imagine how a larger person would feel."
Cons: "For an international flight, there should be more amenities like charger etc."
Pros: "Crew was very attentive"
Cons: "The crew kept coming around to give us snacks and drinks and "dinner". I thought we'd be left alone to sleep but we were not and the cabin lights were only off for about 2 hours on our 6 hour flight. It was an overnight flight so I assumed we would be able to just sleep but we were not."
Cons: "The plane was absolutely filthy. The window was had a coating a head grease and dirt. It was disgusting."
Cons: "Flight attendant on first flight rude overall to all passengers, second flight they were good. Not one complimentary television station."
Pros: "Flight crew in Dulles were very helpful in arranging for my daughter and I to sit together. Really appreciated their help."
Pros: "Busy & hectic with a very full flight, but staff was attentive & friendly."
Cons: "All fine"
Cons: "The seats were not comfortable. The special meal requested was not good."
Pros: "Flight arrived early."
Cons: "Could not get the entertainment app to work."
Pros: "Very helpful crew, comfortable flight I was alone and everyone was helpful all around"
Pros: "Two meals, great staff, eventless flight"
Cons: "2+ Hour delay due to airplane issues limited space under isle seats for carry on bags"
Pros: "I got all my steps I while waited. Was rebooked on an American airplane for my connection on Chicago"
Cons: "Over a 3 hr delay in leaving Flont"
Pros: "We were tossed into the last row; I had no leg room and was constantly being bumped by people using the rest rooms. As a result it was a sleepless flight."
Pros: "After being in the air for 4 hours without being able to connect to listen to anything, a gentleman flight attendant came to ask if I needed help. He then tried a couple different tools to try to help me. Nothing ended up working, but I appreciated him trying."
Cons: "Before the flight took off, I mentioned to a female flight attendant that there seemed to be something in the headphone jack and would like some assistance. She said that it wasn't the time to assist me with that (which I can understand), but she never came back to try to help. Once in the air, another women recognized that I couldn't connect and said she would be back. I am not sure if she forgot or if sent the gentleman flight attendant to assist, I felt like I wasn't heard at all."
Cons: "For a trans-Atlantic flight this was a very small plane with very tight seats. The bathrooms smelled throughout the plane. Many seat back TVs didrn't function."
Pros: "Great boarding at ORD."
Cons: "My seat"
Cons: "PA unreadable, entertainment screen broken, special allergy safe meal lost, luggage didn't transfer to next plane and we actually had to drive back to airport and get it 25 hours later loosing time on our trip, staff apathetic to everything! Will NEVER fly United again!"
Cons: "Took 30 hours to get to our destination on a trip with two kids. Out of the dozen people who we dealt with, only two were somewhat competent. It was the first time in my life I felt unsafe with a major carrier. Consistent problems on flights with mechanical issues and consistently unable to fix them. Then they offered a whopping $125 credit after we paid $4,000 for tickets only to spend two nights on airplanes and on a plane. It was so terrible, I still can't believe it. Time will not ease our frustration and disbelief. Fly with them at your peril."
Pros: "The plane and crew functioned well. From a purely technical stand-point the flight was a success, though it was delayed at Newark because the maintenance dept. took a good half hour to 45 minutes in transmitting its clearance to the captain."
Cons: "A lot of people of all ages, shapes, sizes, and dispositions were crammed into a comparatively small space. It was close and stuffy, very little space to stretch or move about when that was allowed. I'm not tall, but in terms of body mass I'm thicker and wider than many folks, but not obese, and my body thermostat tends to run on the warm side. So the flight was a bit of a physical and mental ordeal for me. The entertainment might have been great had my headphone port been operational. A previous passenger broke off the plug in the hole and the flight staff didn't have a pair of pliers on board to pull it out. Consequently, I was unable to listen to the media in-flight. Also, I couldn't recline my seat because the fussy older woman who sat behind me complained when I did, which made it difficult to snooze."
Pros: "Even though it was a long miserable flight with no entertainment at least the crew attempted to move me to another seat the plane was full so it was either stay where I was or go to a middle seat"
Cons: "Maintenance should be done especially on minor things like headphone jacks on Long flights passengers pay for those upgrades pretty frustrating when they do not work"
Pros: "Crew was great"
Cons: "Flight delayed Sat on runway for 30 min"
Pros: "Lots of turbulence"
