Pros: Crew service was amazing - so diligent and courteous. They were incredibly well trained and I would rate their service level as being one of the most competitive within business class in Asia.
Cons: Seats were reasonably comfortable but not as spacious in design as in other business class cabins, so that could be a concern for some travelers. Also, I was not able to convert the main menu of the entertainment system to my preferred language so it was a bit difficult to navigate (that being said, they provided a card that guided me, so it was still usable, and the entertainment selection was good!).

Pros: The crew was definitely amazing. Extremely polite and always have a smile on :-)

Pros: Sitting in my seat I felt that I had wiggle room for my feet and my arms/elbows. Usually on American flights, I feel like a sardine packed in a can. Even though I was in economy I had plenty of space and was very comfortable during 9 hour flight from BKK to Tokyo.

Cons: You mean the flight that never happened? The one that was suppose to fly out at 12:50 on 1/6/18 delayed until 17:25 (with acceptable communication the first delay) but then later delayed till 00:10 after I’ve already arrived at the airport early for the 17:25 departure. The screens with arrivals and departures posted that Checkin was open but there was no JAL staff to answer questions. Then getting an update “maybe” the 00:10 flight is cancelled? What is maybe cancelled and JALs phone messege still said the flight would depart at 00:10. So I go back to JFK because after all “maybe” isnt a definitive and according to all the direct JAL sources the flight is suppose to depart, I get to JFK the second time only to be given a printout saying the flight is cancelled with no rebooking, and to call for assistance. The same number is been calling for hours trying to get answers. coukdnt reschedules because I’m calling outside of business hours! I spent $200 on cab rides going back and forth to JFK to go nowhere, get no apology, no new flight booking, and no reimbursement for transportation.

Pros: The staff helping to check in was amazing. There was an error which checking in at LAX, we didn’t have our seats assigned. Ali was able to get us seats together, and by a window at that! She was incredible and super helpful. I knew it would be a great flight just from her service at the beginning.
Cons: I wish there was a paper that showed you options for food/drinks. The language barrier was a bit difficult at times but the crew was incredibly patience and made sure we got what we asked for.

Pros: Still, love JAL's customer service from the cabin crew. The flight attendants are always friendly, courteous and professional. They do a great job of meeting and exceeding passengers expectations
Cons: The cabin area was extremely warm; at one point, I had to take out the safety card and fan myself. There was no explanation why the approximately 5-hour flight was uncomfortably warm. During the flight, I woke up from a sound sleep because of the heat in the cabin.

Pros: As expected from JAL, the flight was amazing in every way. The food (the Japanese meal) was not typical airline food, it was actually very good. The courtesy packets had many useful items including eye refreshers, lip balm, and the bathrooms were kept very clean and stocked with both mouthwash and toothbrush/paste. All together as flawless and comfortable an experience as possible on a commercial carrier.
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like, but if I could make a suggestion it would be to offer a larger selection of movies and shows on the long-haul flights. Also the cabin twmperature was a bit too warm but I understand that might vary from flight to flight.

Pros: I have gotten used to long flights on various American airlines where it seems the staff do the minimal amount. Service is so incredibly better on Japan Airlines. Staff respond when you ask for assistance. They smile and work with the passengers. They were actively present almost all the time which was amazing. There is just no, "no," on Japanese Airlines. I loved the media options.
Cons: It has been a while but the food was not as good as I remembered from way back when, or maybe that was Korean Air? It was, however, hot when it should be hot and cold when it should be cold.

Cons: There were so many people who walk around an aisle but the flight attendant didn't control them. They kept pushing my seat and hit. I was so uncomfortable.

Pros: We were coming back from treking in Nortwest Viet Nam. JAL upgraded us to business class (ie, sleeper bed) for the Ha Noi to Tokyo, and gave us good seats on to HNL. FOOD was the best. Next time we'll try HNL-SAI entry to Nam. The Boeing 787 was a great ride to/from Ha Noi, particularly with JAL service.

Cons: The food for our return flight from haneda to Honolulu was definitely subpar compared to the food we had on our first jal Honolulu to Hong Kong flight (layover in narita). Also the plane was not as big and older so we didn't have the touch screen. We were quite impressed on our Honolulu to Hong Kong flight, then were a little let down on our haneda to Honolulu flight.

Cons: I'm an entertainer, very well respected in Hawaii, Japan and the world. and has always traveled JAL. I travel with my guitar and has never had a problem carrying it on board. The staff will usually come a get it and put it in the closet if it didn't fit in the overhead. But I guess recently rules change, and was told I would have to check it in because the closet space is used only for staff and business people. Was told that the 737 was to small for my guitar won't fit overhead. I have taken 737's all my life with Aloha Airlines and told them that my guitar would fit. That gentleman was a JERK! and was'nt very helpful, and told me I couldn't take it on board and I would have to take it to the package store and have them box it up. That spoiled my whole vacation.

Cons: AA waited 4-hours to cancel the flight with 24-hours to the next flight.. Breakfast voucher didn't cover a third of the cheapest breakfast in the hotel where I was sent for the night. Even the flight the next day, sunny, was delayed.

Cons: In this fairly new plane, the rows of seats are so close together, the leg room is minimal. When the tray is lowered, you feel completely squashed in the seat. The food trays are not picked up quickly after eating.

Cons: they walked past me twice with introductory drinks without stopping and offering me one, I then had to ask for one.. not good. the younger staff need to develop the wonderful standard of the older staff.

We were told to keep our seats upright during meal times and to keeo our window shutters down during other times. This made sense. Cons: I paid extra to have an exit row for this long flight. Just before taxiing a man moved seats into the exit row seat next to me (not paying for it like I had) and was intrusive and sprawling out over into my space the entire very long flight. I am extremely unhappy about this and the willingness to allow him to move seats that I had to pay extra for and then left me zero comfort on the flight.

The crew seemed a little disorganised. The adverts on the entertainment were annoying.

Onboard, the TV (ICE) and internet were struggling to keep up with user demand. Did not load or connect sometimes. Different crew members had same standard answer - try later. While sleeping in Business class, I was woken up twice by a rude crew member (Velma Ndubi). She even refused to tell me her name because she did not want me to complain. Her attitude ruined the flight for me.

Had to get off plane, then had to wait in 3 lines. Agents were so UNPROFESSIONAL! Kept saying flight would go... DID NOT go until another plane came in at 9:00 PM! We, needless to say missed our connecting flight to SYDNEY and had to wait til next day and fly to SAN FRANCISCO, then to MELBOURNE, then on to Christchurch. We MISSED out on TWO DAYS of our short trip! which included missed reservations!!

Pros: Staff were friendly and efficient
Cons: No snacks because of short trip, so can’t rate properly.

Cons: It was great, but returning home was bad

Cons: It was an older plane. We liked the flight to Miami that had the super modern technology with the screens on every seat back to watch movies etc. This plane was kinda lame.

Pros: They made a long trip comfortable with an excellent attitude.

Pros: The food was good....they kept bring us more and more.
Cons: There wasn't a choice of movies and we all had to watch the same one with the screen in the middle of the aisle. I had to have my head at an angle and it got tired after a while..... We also had to pay an extra fee to choose seats that were together....that was a rip off!

Cons: Our departure flight was cancelled several times and we were not given an explanation. Poor communication and customer service.

Pros: Our MAD-JFK flight was delayed and we weren’t going to make our connection, so American Airlines automatically rerouted us through Philapdelphia, and got us to Indy just two hours and thirty minutes later than our original arrival time. I was very pleased wiht this service

Pros: How the pilot flew faster from New Bern to Charlotte because we were 3 hours behind schedule, so I appreciate his effort.
Cons: Right from the start, customer service was not compassionate in helping out. I was forced to leave my huge luggage behind in order to make it to the next available flight. In addition, American Airlines continued delaying their flight departure times like it was no big deal.. It was stressful for many passengers. This other woman and I had a second plane to get onto, and were worried that we wouldn’t be able to get to the next plane ride because the first plane ride was pushed back like around 10 times or so. This is my first experience with American Airlines, and absolutely do not have a good impression whatsoever. I do not support this airline because it is clear that they do not value their customer’s satisfaction, wellbeing, or schedules.

Pros: Flight kept being pushed back multiple times. left about 3 hrs late. Then after boarding and waiting to take off, the pilot tells us a light came on the "dash" and he has to have maintenance come to check it. That takes another 30 plus minutes. Not a good start to the morning.
Cons: Never finding out what happened to the our original plane that was supposed to have left in the morning.

Pros: Smooth flight, got in early.
Cons: Breakfast was average. Could do better

Pros: I was Happy with the free soda I got. That’s about it.
Cons: Well my flight to Milwaukee was delayed 3 times and then canceled. Thankfully my moms flight with south west had open seats so I bought a ticket on that flight while everyone and there mom was at the ticket counter trying to change their flights. And then on the way back to Florida, my flight was delayed twice, and I almost missed my connecting flight. One of the worst experiences flying. Then I was Told I couldnt Get a partial refund for the flight that was canceled to Wisconsin

Pros: Got to see The Shape of Water from DFW to PDX in advance of the Oscars! Nice clear image and sound. Thanks American, you've upped your game from a few years back!

Cons: the remodel at LAX is a mess but the shuttles are nice, just be prepared if you have to shuttle to another terminal. Also check food, I went from gate 50A and had to shuttle to 52A and that area only has one area to get something to eat and its just sandwich, and not a lot of choices.

Pros: The flight was delayed 4 times until we were unable to make our connecting flight. We were sent home to try again tomorrow. Meanwhile other flights AA made their connections. Total bullshit. I suggest they couldn't round up a crew.

Pros: 1. Let me check in online but NOT my wife ... we are both Advantage Gold & TSA pre .... wasted 2 hours on the phone with idiots in their Manila call center 2. An ancient plane, cramped seating, wretched food. 3. An hour late departing JFK & arriving CDG so right in the middle of Paris rush hour !!

Pros: The entertainment system was good. It took mind mind off the 4 delays that occurred with the flight.
Cons: 4 delays that occurred with the flight. 45 minutes to board. 30 min to leave the gate. 30 min to takeoff and 30 min to get to the gate when we landed.

Cons: It took too long for luggage to be delivered. The luggage carousel broke and luggage was switched to a new carousel. A flight attendant made a big push for the American credit card. It was annoying.

Pros: Flight was on time, seats were comfortable.

Cons: Very small niggle but it could be very frustrating for people. I watched the Hobbit trilogy on the flight. The films appear in the menu alphabetically. Viewing them this way leads to a 1,3,2 order.... There is no indication (that I saw) for the order they should be viewed.

Pros: Plane was on schedule luggage taken as I boarded and help available as needed. This is very important for an 80 year old. Thanks for a great trip. Sue

Pros: not bad, I upgraded to first for the leg room, I'm 6'6", so it kinda worked out.

Cons: Person on my seat on previous flight puked and it had not been cleaned up. Puke in the seat tray and on the floor. My personal bag had pile all over it. Yuck.

Cons: The weather was bad in Dallas preventing our landing. Our plane had to be diverted to be refueled which caused us to miss our connecting flight. There was no one at the counter to help us, but one of the crew told us to call the 800 number which told us our connecting flight was in the air. When we finally found someone to help us, they rescheduled us for the next flight out 11 hours later. When we asked about accommodations, we were told there would be none since it was weather related. Then we were told we could "look for a cot", but she didn't know where any cots were.

Pros: Flight was on time
Cons: Wished the airline would have checked my bag rather then leave it at the gateway Time was wasted if you had a connecting flight
