Horrible experience with Avianca, they delayed their flight and when we arrived to NYC, AVIANCA took 1 hr y 30 mins to park the airplane and all passenger get off the plane, it made me lost all my trains to get back home and I came back to my place at 3 am instead of 12 am. On the top of that their plane seat are so uncomfortable and is not enough space and killed my legs and knees, Avianca used to be good when it was a Colombian company, now after Brasilian company bought them, their service quality is bad and their flights are delayed and oversold.

I actually upgraded to the medium level of seats from basic and even doing that it may have been physically the most uncomfortable flight I have ever had. They packed everyone like is a train to death camp. It was a red eye so I hoped to get some sleep but it was physically impossible to find a comfortable way to rest. I met other folks on the same flight and they said the same thing. It was an utterly miserable flight and if I have any other options I will never fly with them again
only a bag of chips and a bottle of water in business class was served
Avianca has transitioned from full service legacy airline to "low cost" but has now became a strange hybrid (minimum leg space, started offering business class in domestic flights again, charges passenger for printing boarding pass, etc.). National and international coverage and destinations are really wide but service is not at its best
We found the chairs to be really uncomfortable. It’s also really unacceptable that no form of food or drink is included in a 6+ hour flight
Not good, tried to purchase a first class upgrade and they couldn’t get it done. Was super uncomfortable the whole time.
Deplaning was a mess, I sat in business (seats are horrible) and the front door had a problem so we had to deplane from the rear exit. The stairs were not tall enough to reach so there was a large step down from the plane to the top of the stairs.
Pros: we leave and arrive on time Cons: the most uncomfortable seats ever. You cant recline at all your seats. No entertainment No TVs flight attendants didn't provide even a glass of water. You have to go to back of the airplane and ask for one. I am Colombian and I remember seeing the flight attendants very neat, elegants which is or was a staple of Avianca.it was one with tennis shoes, no male up, the hair was messy... that was really odd.
It was cancelled a few hours before take off. Spirit has yet to confirm I will be refunded for the trip
There was absolutely nothing good about this fight. They delayed us for over 2 hours to give our plane to a flight going to Tampa. By the time we got to norfolk conditions were too bad to land so they took us to Charlotte to refuel so they could fly back to Fort lauderdale. There was almost no communication from the pilot, no wifi, no chargers, and they wouldn't even give us free water when we were stuck in Charlotte refueling.
This flight cancelled. I am in the airport right now and my kids sleep on the floor. We are waiting for information in the line 4 hours and rude woman from spirit airline offers us flight to Austin on 23 February. No water no food offer. The offer to book hotel and they will refund 150$. The nearest hotel 450$ per night. So I got flight to San Antonio 02/22 at 7am. I hate this company, they are rude and no empathy. So many people with kids were there. And I don’t sleep and it is cold here. I don’t have warm clothes for me and my kids. And I don’t have money for transport from San Antonio to my Austin.
It was the most turbulent terrifying flight I’ve ever been on. I will never fly spirit again.
The flight was delayed for unknown reasons while other airlines weren’t. It was very frustrating.
I was not informed via text about flight delay and gate change. There should have been a notice by the original gate letting us know that there was a change. A half hour before original flight time we realized there was no one there and were told that the gate was changed so we ran across the airport (I was traveling with my aunt who is in her upper 60s) to try to make the flight and then saw that the flight was actually delayed an hour . If you can do something for us to makeup for this we would appreciate it. Thank you
Less than acceptable. Family members had flights cancelled with no reason. Multiple hour delay, gate changes, poor communication, less than satisfactory. I will never fly with spirit again, which is a shame because it’s a budget friendly option but quite frankly with all of the hassle and hoops that come with flying spirit. Completely unacceptable.
No complaints with pricing so don’t expect a lot of extras.
Flight got cancelled 1.5 hours prior to gate open and logistics of travel got delayed.
Everything was good. On time, boarding fast, flight attendants friendly.
