Next day we were transported (they show up 2 hours later from the promised time) we were transported to the airport to actually catch a flight to another different city to then arrive wait 4 more hours to catch a plane to our final destination... a 3 hours and 45 minutes flight from Miami turned into a 4 different city, hotel and nightmare, luggage’s were broke and everybody turned out to be rude rude rude rude!!!!!!... I am still waiting for my $200 promised Boucher. This is my last time flying with AVIANCA. I am a frequent flyer and have made the decision to fly AA from now On... Actually just purchased a ticket which was actually $100 more than Avianca... nothing like great service and respect towards your clients... I’m also making sure NOBODY flys with AVIANCA."

Overbooked flight led to a 30 minute delayed departure trying to get 3 volunteers to accept $1000 vouchers and a next day flight. This was an older configured aircraft without charging ports and with headphone plugs in the armrests. Bathrooms were tinier than most. Crew was friendly. Food was limited to a small snack bag and a mini cola.
First class and crew checked on me once to distribute food but never came back to collect garbage. Found myself getting up to throw away trash because they collected it from everyone around me. Also never came back to ask if I wanted a refill on my drink or if I was content; I was watching a movie so I was awake.
There were some delays due to weather but Delta was able to get me home within an hour of my original itinerary.

Cons: "I booked KLM flights (Cork - Tampa return) but the planes were in fact Aer Lingus and Delta. So I have no idea what KLM is like. When I checked in at Cork the ground staff could only give me a boarding card for the first flight. For the second one she said I would have to go to the Delta counter in Amsterdam. It was difficult to find a counter there or staff as check-in was all by computer. The computer kept saying 'error' when I put in my code. I eventually was directed to a KLM desk (nicely hidden). I was told that my seat no longer existed. At this point the flight was ready to board. Thankfully the KLM ground staff were extremely helpful and reassuring and upgraded my ticket to economy comfort. On the way back, I could only get a boarding card for my first flight. The second two I had to collect at the boarding gate of the second flight."

VERY inefficient check in process at MIA. As a preferred silver connect miles member, could not get into the preferred members line. When I finally got to the counter the clerk told he had to go to the gate and that I needed to get back to the line. Barely made the flight. Outrageous
I liked the attention at the counter and on board. Everything happened in an orderly manner. I flew with COPA in May. From Panama I flew on Thursday. I returned from Miami on a Sunday. The flight from Panama to Miami then was wonderful, but returning from Miami at the counter and boarding was a complete disaster. The operator at the counter was rude and apathetic. Because of the disorder to board we lost our spot to take off and we’re grounded for an hour. This time both ways were outstanding! I hope they continue to improve and show the same good service on weekends than the one during week days! Thank you!

Cons: "We flew Latam to go snowboarding in Argentina. The moment we arrived at the desk to check in, it was chaos. We waited in line for almost 2 hours to check in. When we got to Buenos Aires, our snowboard bags had not made it on the flight. Having to deal with Latam agents who hardly spoke English and were not helpful at all was intensity frustrating. Our bags finally got to our destination 2 days later. We had to drive to the airport to pick them up because they were not going to deliver them for another day, so we would have been 3 days without our snowboard gear. Latam did nothing to compensate us for the days lost no did they even seem to care. This is one of the most frustrating companies I have ever dealt with. I booked a return flight on Delta and lost $1000 just so I don’t have to deal with Latam again. Any money you save on a flight is not worth having to deal with this company. Stick with reliable American-based companies with customer service that is up to American standards."

Explanation was they had technical problems with original plane and they had to replace it with smaller one and everybody else used online checkin in last 48 hours...Everybody else used online checkin?! Is that the rule? Last 48 h of my trip in Peru i did not have internet access, but if it's the only way to get your seat, you paid for months in advance, then I would find some solution. Cons: "The plane was not clean at all. Mine and my friend's seatbelts both had chewed gum stuck on them which we had to cover with some plastic wrap to keep it from getting on our clothing. Our tray tables were disgusting. It looked like someone had spilled food all over them and no one ever cleaned it, so we had to clean the tables ourselves."

Out of security by 6 am. My shift at the hospital started at 7 am. I have never had a flight delayed to this extent, especially without an explanation. My nephew was on flight 1894 from Toronto. Everything was fine when they checked the ETD. They arrived at YYZ at 1300 only to finally board 12 hours later. Totally unacceptable."

Pros: "Excellent flight from boarding to arrival. The flight crew performed beyond expectation. There were obvious obstacles in their way when performing their duties and customer service. What stood out as stellar was their patience in helping people where english was not their first language. When serving beverages to these passengers the flight attendants would ask what beverage they prefered. Their answers were inaudible and confusing. Attendants displayed container beverage and when it was still unable to understand their poor answers they did not give up. Finally it was understood they would like hot tea, and i noticed they performmed beyond expectation. These asian passengers would clogg the isles for attendants by going to the washroom and visiting other friends on this flight creating serving obstacles. Frankly, I prayed for the attendants when they were climbing over seated passengers and appeared orientationally lost from their seats on this flight. You would think it was their first flight; but then the flight attendant would appear, and in classic manner would ask - Can I help you? I am comforted by the displayed patience, ability to take punishment from disfunctional riders who failed to notice how other passengers behaved and how professionally the crew operated from beginning to end. I always prefer to fly with Air Canada. Thank you!"

I am grateful for that consideration and effort made on our behalf. The flight staff was excellent. Everything seemed to go very smoothly. I really liked the built in screens (& headphones) and entertainment programming made available to us."
