flight was late, barely made my connection (which was also late).
Crew and flight were professional and courteous.
Passengers from Beijing were rude, and consistently snorting and spitting throughout the entire flight. Not just one person but everyone around us. Very disgusting and nauseating listening to that for 6+hours. I had earbuds in the entire flight and could still hear the spitting...
Comfort and service on the plane. Lounge in Beijing was wonderful.
What you have to go through in Beijing to transit from one international flight to another. Very disorganized. I will never change planes again in Beijing after this trip. Perhaps it will be better on the way back. Business class travelers should have a special lane.
No entertainment, console broken. Ran out of menu item of choice, but alternative was easily digestible.
they should really do something about tight connections. If your first airline is only barely late, it becomes a frantic haste from hell to get thru security again and to your next airline. Security needs to inspect every element of your carryon in spite of the fact you were already screened on your previous flight. They will dump out your entire bag to inspect all contents. Extremely easy to lose important things. They confiscate all spare batteries if they only appear to be high power range regardless of what the actual voltage is.
Compared to the flight going the other way, this one was much more comfortable. I didn't have someone's seat back in my face the whole time, and was able to enjoy games on my own device. I like that both USB and normal power options were available, so I was able to play games and charge my phone so I could use it after landing. The food was passable as well, which was surprising.
It's unavoidable when flying between multi-lingual locations, but having movies and stuff pause three times for each announcement gets annoying. The rolls served with the meals were very dry. These are small nits, and the flight was generally enjoyable.
It was overall a good experience, cannot complain about the service as it was great.
The weather caused a bumpy return flight but that is not the airlines fault.

AC 018 takes the shortest route from Shanghai to Montreal. The check in and boarding were like a breeze. Cabin was clean, staff were amiable and hard working. The variety of drinks were plenty, the food matched the standard of cost efficiency flight ticket so how could you complain it? On board TV/Movie has new coming features such as HBO's Game of The Thorne, season 7. It was a comfortable and pleasant journey with the team of AC 018. Merci beaucoup!

Arrived safely and on time.
No power outlets at seats.
No baggage controls from seat 18 to 28 no bags would fit. As we exited all the front rows we're waiting to get there bags stored in back of planes overhead bins. That's just not right, especially when they charge us extra to take a bag for overhead bins storage.

The crew did a good job with the sick woman.
Flight was delayed over 8 hours due to "mechanical issues." Went from a nice 757 to a 737 which was a little more cramped.
Staff was friendly
United has a system glitch and we were delayed. I got in around 1 am instead of 11 pm. I decide to order a glass of wine and since they don’t give receipts. I found out i was charged for 2 glasses instead of one. To top it off the co-worker i was traveling with didn’t get charged due to the inconvenience and delay. i travel a lot with United (higher status than him) and would have liked that offer (and not get charged one i didn’t order) being a mileage plus and credit card holder. I did go on line and ask for a credit and they did make it right and give me a credit.
