Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Pros: "On time, only one gate change!"
Cons: "Cheaper. Ran out of food on the incoming flight. Should have planned better"
Pros: "Overall very good flight!"
Cons: "Nothing much!"
Cons: "Quality of food especially the main meal."
Cons: "We were delayed because we were waiting on a crew member. It was kind of ridiculous"
Pros: "No traffic to LGA. No security lines. First in line to take off."
Cons: "Snack options are very poor."
Cons: "The flight was delayed initially because of plane late arrival then rerouting and then delayed and cancelled. Spent the night on the floor with no offers for food or beverages or at least offering vouchers for delays not related to weather. Tried to lie and say it was weather related."
Pros: "Smooth flight"
Pros: "Direct flight from Sioux Falls to Dallas"
Cons: "We turned around due to equipment issues and had to spend the night. While American picked up the tab, instead of staying at one of the hotels on-site, we were shipped via bus to a low-rate hotel roughly 45 minutes away. Did not feel safe that night!!"
Pros: "nothing. Plane never left."
Cons: "Airlines that actually fly. We ended up renting a car and driving the 3.5 hours from Charlotte to Savannah and actually beat the flight that finally left after 11 pm and landed 1 am. We should have gotten the car much sooner and driven instead of sitting at the airport for 8 hours."
Pros: "Flights were on time, professional crew"
Cons: "Seat back screen kept freezing, headphone jack was broken"
Pros: "No issues - which is what I expect"
Cons: "USB chargers on seats"
Cons: "The attitude from the crw"
Pros: "Nothing, flight was delayed 3 hours"
Pros: "Everything was great on the AA flight"
Pros: "ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!"
Cons: "At 12:40 p.m. we boarded American Airlines flight 1350 in ATL, just to SIT on plane for 1 1/2 hours (half the time with NO AIR). Computer problems. Had to get off plane, then had to wait in 3 lines. Agents were so UNPROFESSIONAL! Kept saying flight would go... DID NOT go until another plane came in at 9:00 PM! We, needless to say missed our connecting flight to SYDNEY and had to wait til next day and fly to SAN FRANCISCO, then to MELBOURNE, then on to Christchurch. We MISSED out on TWO DAYS of our short trip! which included missed reservations!!"
Cons: "Limited legroom is a problem. Otherwise, the flight was fine."
Pros: "AA128 is nice. The plane is new and the seat is very comfortable. The service is fine."
Cons: "Food is at a very small portion ( I am a small Asian lady so I am fine but barely enough for a child.). My luggage was lost."
Pros: "Flt on time crew and staff very polite"
Cons: "Flight was delayed, but there was clear weather in both Boston and DC. Did not get home until after 1 AM, completely exhausted."
Cons: "First flight delayed 45 min, then cancelled. 2nd flight 3 hrs later."
Cons: "First of all, this flight was not good; that was my rating for the first leg of CLE to DFW. DFW to SJC was a disaster due to weather and multiple equipment changes. Overall the flight was delayed 7 hours, from 4:50pm to 11:40pm. I opted to reschedule for the following morning -- and that flight ended up being delayed for an hour due to equipment changes and mechanical issues. Door-to-door I spent 30 hours getting from CLE to SJC."
Pros: "The crew was great and made light of a relatively tense situation. This was a connecting flight for many passengers which was delayed so many of us were missing our connections. The crew still did a great job keeping everyone comfortable and boarding us quickly."
Cons: "Unfortunately our plane was grounded in Chicago before our leg of the trip even began. By the time it arrived in YYZ many of us would already be missing connections. Due to a smaller plane we have to stow most of our carry on below which caused a bit of chaos while disembarking trying to retrieve bags and hustle to the next flights. Since I knew before leaving YYZ we were quite delayed my husband drove to ORD to pick me up instead of waiting 24hr for the next flight to St. Louis. It added 8 hours of driving for him to an already long day but we made the best of it."
Pros: "Staff very professional, everything else went as planned. That's all one needs."
Cons: "We had a hard time hearing (clarity of speech) announcements over the intercom at the gate & on the plains (specially when the captain spoke). Nothing life threatening, but wouldn't want to miss something important."
Cons: "Flight departure was delayed for 30 mins by a flight attendant not showing up on time."
Pros: "The entertainment system was very nice. The seats were comfortable!! The crew friendly!!!"
Cons: "Food was lacking!!!"
Pros: "From madrid foto Charlotte everything was excellentm"
Cons: "From Charlotte to miami they made me wait more than an hour for my luggage because they sent mine on another flight"
Pros: "short flight, crew was nice"
Cons: "left 40 min late due to a communication error deciding what crew would work the plane. didn’t find out why the flight was delayed until airborne."
Cons: "take off late 90 min.. almost lost connection in NY"
Cons: "The food is very tasty, but AA has not changed the menu in at least one year."
Cons: "All the different prices for seats. I think it is a stupid system. Miss the good old days of air travel."
Pros: "Plane was cleaner than most. Not freezing cold like almost all other flights"
Cons: "Paid for upgrade that wasn't great. Next class down was just as good. AWFUL FOOD!! Worst I have ever had. HATE the new seat design. Cant lean against the window because of the gap. My purse fell through the gap onto the floor behind my seat. Had to ask the person behind me 3 times to please hand it back to me. The armrest doesnt go up which helps at times getting in and out. It is a large uncomfortable impediment. The remotes were all over the place, down in the seat, on the floor. No one could find the plug in for the headphones. It is in the most ridiculous place!"
Pros: "Although we were delayed a bit, the ride was smooth and we caught up some. Great service. Being a domestic flight, it was surprising that the crew kept serving water and other drinks. Since it was the last 5 .5 hours after a 8.5 hour across the Atlantic, this was much appreciated."
Pros: "Smooth and very friendly service!"
Cons: "Flight was delayed for hours- weather related, but at other destinations- so this flight had to wait to be rescheduled. Also they weren't able to give any idea when the flight would be boarding- they just kept sending text alerts that it was delayed another half hour and no updates were listed on the screens. When the flight finally left, after I had been waiting for over 5 hours, we were told that they would be flying low, so there would be no beverage service. It would be nice in these situations to simply have bottled water to pass out quickly, or make the announcement prior to boarding so people would be able to bring their own beverages."
Cons: "When I finally got a seat on the plane, it was fine. The lady at the counter was very helpful!! She helped me get on a flight since LATAM had changed my flight until the next day."
Pros: "Flight from CLT to CDG was excellent surprising amount of room in economy, modern plane with usb power and good IFE. Service was excellent but plane was only half full."
Cons: "Flight from CDG to ORD was awful. Dated 767 that American Airlines should be embarrassed by. No Wifi, IFE was a few screens suspended from above, overhead compartments couldn't fit standard size roller board bag, which makes no sense."
Pros: "It seemed like it took longer to board this time. Otherwise, all was good. Flight was on time leaving and early landing."
Cons: "It seemed like boarding took longer that usual this time. It seems like it would go more smoothly if it were set up that everyone boards in the order from where they are seated, starting in the back, working forward."
Pros: "This was probably one of the best flights I've had. Attentive flight attendants and the seats were very comfortable. I would definitely fly again."
Cons: "Would not check bags through to final destination. I had to puck up at baggage claim and clear customs, and recheck bags through a 2 hour + line at ticket counter."
Pros: "It was a good and comfortable flight and a nice crew allthough it was Operators by AA"
Cons: "The food is not overwhelming."
Pros: "The flight staff had an amazing energy about them especially for 7am. They didn't do anything above or beyond but they extremely pleasant, energetic, and courteous. The pilots also pulled off the one of the smoothest landings ever."
Pros: "The crew was very helpful at each stop even though they weren't responsible for the disasters."
Cons: "Initially we thought we were flying with British Airways. We then had to do some digging to realize it was all out of American Airlines. Then we couldn't get proper boarding passes and luggage tags until one of the crew members spent a significant amount of time untangling each leg of our trip so they were in the proper order. We got delayed by 4 hours in Chicago and missed our connection in Manchester. We had another 5 hour wait there. By the time we got to Dublin, our bags didn't also arrive. After almost 24 hours of travel, we arrived but without all of our stuff."
Cons: "We had purchased the tickets months before flying - It was Quantas, but we flew on American and Alaska- no one seemed to talk to each other - not one site had the complete itinerary. Took hours of phone calls and a lot of anxiety before we completed the trip. I used my American airline frequent flyer card and even though we flew over 14000 miles, we got credit for 500."
Cons: "Ace was broke on plane, no wifi or entertainment options, lots and lots of being kept in the dark waiting and waiting after already boarding the plane or landing on the runway"
Cons: "No entertainment, ran out of meals by the time they got to the back of the plane."
Pros: "Price and schedule."
Cons: "Do not like how this or any airlines board passengers."
Cons: "Missed the connection in CLT to BTR even though flight status on AA's website indicated that it was delayed enough so that I could make the connection. Ended up spending the night in a cold-assed airport with minimal comfort. I was already confirmed on this flight and AA knew, or should've known, that I was enroute. Not pleased at all."
