Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful.Cons: The rental smelled like someone had been smoking in it for a long while prior to my rental. It wasn’t too bad, though, and the car was otherwise very comfortable.

Pros: The lady at he airport rental in Baton Rouge was vwry helpful.Cons: The location said "on airport" for pickup however was a 30 minute drive from the airport.
4.4 OkayOct 27 2017
TrickedPros: Return was easyCons: I used the airport code to find a car. Booked economy. Got to the airport to pick it up and they told me I booked it off site and that location was already closed. (Why would it let me book the car if I was booking when the location was closed?) So the airport said they could only get me a full size and I would have to pay for a full size. According to the employee, this happens to people a lot. Unacceptable. Not using Enterprise again. Haven't received email receipt.

Cons: Hertz scheduled me to pick up a 12-passenger van on a day they were closed. Horrible customer support all around and difficult to contact. I won’t be using them or this platform in the future.

Pros: STAFF WAS FRIENDLY FOR PICK UP BUT THERE THERE WAS NO ONE AROUND AT ALL FOR DROP OFF. JUST A NOTE TO PUT THE KEYS IN A BOX.Cons: A LARGER CAR AND THEY HAD THEM AVAILABLE AND ALMOST $14 A DAY FOR AN EXTRA DRIVER IS AWFUL. I EVEN HAVE AAA AND THEY WOULD NOT HONOR A FREE EXTRA DRIVER

Pros: The staff, in Allentown, at Lehigh International, were great. The lady working the counter there was friendly and polite. The staff at Baton Rouge Airport, now that's a different story. The lady working there was full of attitude. Dealing with her, she made you feel like you were inconveniencing her by being there.Cons: When I arrived at Baton Rouge to pick up my rental, they didn't have the vehicle type that my reservation was for. I made my reservation 7 days in advance, only to be told they didn't have any luxury vehicles. I did however get an SUV for the price of what my reservation was.

Pros: Staff at pick up of cargo van in Baton Rouge was mixed in responsiveness and helping. We had to make suggestions to staff which they should have pro-actively done for the customer. They were courteous but seemed not interested in engaging perhaps because they were so understaffed. We actually had a very poor experience with a reservation for mini-van at BTR which they could not fulfill nor were able to contact me (I can't understand why they did not reach out via email) over phone and this set us back a full day and a half. The staff there at BTR was not helpful nor very kind again they seemed overworked and without much interest in engaging or trying to resolve our issue.Cons: An email notification that our reservation for mini-van at BTR would have been very helpful and thoughtful, saving us much anxiety and grief. No one cared to offer any sort of adjustment for the short-comings and problems on their side. I don't think I will be doing business with Hertz anytime soon. It is so disappointing as I have always thought of Hertz (as I used them many times over the years) as the gold standard for rental...not anymore! Truly sad experience and impression from a once well known company.

Pros: NothingCons: No one called me to tell me that the hours had changed. Luckily I checked and went early only to find them telling another customer that they were sold out across the city. I ended up having to drive an hour to pay $40 more to get a car. I will never use Hertz again outside of an airport as this is the second time they have left me high and dry with no cars in stock. Y'all need to communicate better with your partners.

Pros: easy pick up and drop off friendly counter helpCons: I could have ordered a bigger car. I was not sure we would have 3 passengers (6 foot 1" teenager).

Pros: Was able to drop off vehicle at airport instead of pick-up location, which was unsupervised for day/time of drop/off.Cons: Staff ok. Vehicle not ready for pick-up time. Fuel tank not full. Exterior not properly cleaned. Don't like dropping off at day/time needed at an unsupervised location.

Comfortable, honest and clean; slightly priceyPros: The clean car itself. It looked and smelled new despite having higher miles than most rentals I've seen. It was also very comfortable. And the integrity. There were 3 scratches on the car that they caught and noted that before dropping the car off to me. I have been manipulated in this with others before.Cons: The price. I know you can't avoid all taxes and fees, but $90 for driving 64 miles one way is a little high in my opinion.

Pros: Staff was very kind and flexible.

Cons: The service on both ends was very poor. I do not have a credit card, and the would not let me use a debit card because I didn't have a flight at the airport. I was 8 hours from home, needing to rent a car.

Budget Agents Not Available At Check InPros: I'm thankful I had a car.Cons: There were no Budget agents available at check in. There was a sign telling me to record my fuel & mileage, then bring the keys to the Avis counter inside.
Pros: Everything. In and out. Nice staff membersCons: Price was great. But if I can get it for less then sure.

Pros: For the drop off at thr airport, no one was at the counter from 8:30 - 9:00am. I had to leave the key in the lock box with a note. The car had a smoke smell and made my clothes smelled weird. It was muddy on the outside and when picking up the car there was no one to talk to about the condition of the car. I had to get on my way, so I left.
8.0 ExcellentFeb 22 2021
Cons: When we Picked up the car the right front tire Air pressure was only at 25 pounds per square inch. We were told to take the car to fire stone on Siegen Lane and have the car repaired. We did so only defined on our trip that fire stone had done nothing to solve the problem. So every day on our vacation we started out finding a gas station to put air in the right front tire.

Discover everything Louisiana’s capital has on display within your own time by renting a car upon your arrival. Don’t rely on delayed public transport or expensive cab rides, and seize the opportunity to not only visit attractions like the Louisiana State Capitol, but also to explore surrounding scenic places like a drive alongside the famous Mississippi River or a visit to Lake Maurepas and Wildlife Center, about 1 hour away by car.
Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport is located just over 7 miles north of the city, and the quickest way to reach your next destinations is by opting for a rental car directly from the various agencies on the airport grounds. Simply follow the signs to the baggage claim area, where companies like Avis, Hertz, or Enterprise offer their vehicles. The quickest way to the heart of Baton Rouge is via the I-110 South.
Driving defensively in Baton Rouge is a good choice, as local drivers have a reputation of driving rather aggressively, including rarely using signal blinkers, driving fast through the city, and changing lanes without warning before squeezing into tight spaces between other cars in the lane. Don’t let local drivers stress you out and adhere to all speed limits and street regulations, even if you may be honked at once or twice for those decisions -- it is better to play it safe.
Rush hours can be intense in the city and morning rush hour between 7 and 9 am as well as evening rush hour from 5 to 7 pm should be avoided, if possible. Especially the I-10 can face heavy congestion during these times, so plan your journeys around those peak times to enjoy a more stress-free driving experience. On weekends, rush hour is not too bad, but when driving in the vicinity of the LSU campus on the day of a game, there can be plenty of traffic as well.
