US citizens and permanent residents arriving from the UK must present a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen test result issued within 72 hours prior to departure.
Travelers returning to the US are advised to stay home as much as possible, avoid being around people and consider getting tested for COVID-19 after returning from travel and participated in higher risk activities.

Pros: "The flight started with a visit in the recently renovated KLM crown lounge in Amsterdam airport. I liked the various seating options and of course the upstairs bar. The service on board was attentive and efficient, the food options I really liked (especially the Chinese dish) but also the little touches like the nuts & gouda cheese which were served in small porcelain bowls. The seat itself was very comfortable when sitting and the structure gives a lot of privacy. However for couples or friends travelling it's a bit cumbersome to have a conversation even when sitting in seats next to each other. Overall my expectations were fulfilled."
Cons: "This seat is not ideal for sleeping for taller persons (I'm 185cm tall) as the space to put the feet is very narrow and it's uncomfortable when lying on the back (as one cannot put them in the natural resting position). Pros: "The treatment and luxury of being a business/first class passenger. I've been told I was (free) upgraded from economi class to business class. Actually there was no business class,- it was first class. Because after arriving and leaving the aircraft, I walked (like everyone) through the First class,-and it looked exactly like the "business class" I was sitting. I had all the luxury and service a first class passenger had,- from the champagne and all other amazing beverages to the high end luxury dining and of course the amazing service of the flight attendants. I would always choose BA again if Ihave the choice. Even if it's still "just" economy class. BA is just an airline that treats all their passengers as first class member. Thank you BA for this experience. Keep it up and please, never change."

Cons: "Flights over 10 hours should be on a more comfortable plane with electrical or USB ports. I had an 8 hr flight from jfk to Rome (Finnair/American) was on a very comfortable plane with better entertainment and charging capabilities. however, the 11 hr flight from London to SAN was more cramped, no charging, fewer entertainment selections and all around uncomfortable. I expect more from BA on such long flights."

On flight out, entertainment system was down for first 4 hours of 10.5 hour flight. Long international flight & only 1 drink service besides with meal. Prepare against dehydration by bringing your own water. I don't think I will be flying British Airways again in future."

Cons: "The check in process at JFK was a disaster. The kiosk check in machines were constantly malfunctioning, where to line up was unclear, and staff acted frustrated. After several failed attempts with the kiosks you have to wait in line to check in at the counter anyways. It would have saved almost an hour of my time to just go straight to the counter-- had I been allowed to. I wanted to check a bag which contained some fragile items. Several bottles of wine which I wrapped in bubble wrap and cushioned with my packed clothes. I requested a "Fragile" sticker to be put on my bag. I was told "We don't do that here". So I asked if they handle ALL bags with extreme care and I was laughed at and told to go on my way. When I got my bag at my destination-- the outside of my leather suitcase was sliced to the lining. There were scuff marks and torn leather. My wine had been completely shattered. Not just a crack in the bottle, but flattened completely. My clothes were stained, my bag ruined. I don't know if putting a fragile sticker on would have prevented this, but I don't understand why they just "don't do that". We are trusting our property to the airline when we check bags. I will never trust American Airlines ever again. They don't want to know if I have anything fragile, and they don't care when I tell them."

We have had this same situation on other airlines, and they were very accommodating to our needs."
