Pros: "Flight nearly on time. Good legroom."
Cons: "Food was so-so. Don’t like having to pay for a drink on an international flight costing $1000."
Pros: "great seating and food. service was excellent"
Cons: "low resolution screen makes a movie not enjoyable boarding was mediocre, we arrived late and the gate didnt know we were coming. AirCanada had already rebooked me for flight 28h later..which was ridicules. Immediate compensation was the upgrade from Premium to First. Thank you."
Cons: "Very long delay not fair to passengers"
Pros: "The seating was good and the pilot was friendly."
Cons: "There was not a good movie selection and there was not a lot of information regarding the altitude and there was not very much warning during turbulence."
Cons: "crew was rude and unhelpful with delayed flight"
Cons: "My direct flight was cancelled and rebooked with a connecting flight."
Pros: "Nothing to complain"
Pros: "Great flight"
Cons: "The fact that there were no snacks"
Cons: "Pay for wifi"
Cons: "One hour late"
Cons: "Flight was delayed"
Cons: "See above"
Cons: "The flight was late."
Pros: "Air crew was nice. Pilot nice too."
Cons: "Old plane. Smaller seat size than comparable airlines. Terrible food: a slice of oily cske, served in a plastic sleeve, must be the new low for an international breakfast...no individual tvs on the sets....hello, step into the 21st century.... And the selection available via your iPad or laptop and their wifi was small, and old...we had paid to upgrade our economy tickets to the next level, and we expected more...the size of the upgraded seats was not great and there wa no foot rest to put your feet on, which is a significant help to someone who flies so many hours and can assist with circulation...."
Pros: "Service was on time & staff was friendly and helpful."
Cons: "On the flight back, we had to wait on the airplane for a good hour before we could disembark. But that was due to heavy traffic at the airport and not the fault of the airline."
Pros: "The flight crew were wonderful to interact with and really helpful in accommodating my disabilities. Dinner was mediocre but at least some was available, which I didn't expect on an overnight flight starting after dark. ("Breakfast" was a slice of really tasty banana bread but nothing else.) I really appreciated the presence of outlets and USB ports for charging electronic devices, and that the seats had adjustable headrest flaps. These are essential features on long flights!"
Cons: "It's almost impossible to sleep in economy class seats, even with the adjustable headrests. I recognize that economy is supposed to be the "no frills" class of travel but sleep is not a luxury. Sleep is a basic human need, like food and oxygen. I don't actually believe that offering better accommodations for everyday passengers (off whom the bulk of airline profits are made) is financially unfeasible or unreasonable."
Cons: "The aircraft was very old, without entertainment. Most of the crew were unenthusiastic. The food was less then average. A very different experience then flying from Toronto to London the week before, so quite disappointing."
Pros: "All was well. Thanks"
Cons: "They lost our luggage and we didn't get it all back until about 7 days after we arrived! 7 Days!!!! Customer service was horrible and we were traveling with a small child."
Pros: "On-time and quick boarding."
Cons: "Not enough leg room - similar to most airlines."
Cons: "Not aconfortable plane"
Pros: "Boarding process was good"
Cons: "No free snacks offered"
Pros: "Super nice crew!"
Cons: "Inaudible boarding"
Pros: "The ONLY part of flying Air Canada that I used to like was your partnership with SAS, over the past ten years I have lost more airtravel points through Star Alliance troubles than I could have made in the decade before. Luckily when I fly from my birth place of St. John's NL, you're ground staff are the absolute best! I can give "shout outs" to each and every one of them. From those ready for retirement to the new staff just in from "who knows where", they get the whole "customer service" priority that your airline needs to focus on. Your management in Halifax "Sharon" is out of this world too, other than that whether through Lufthansa, Air Canada or anywhere I would travel, seeing that red leaf on your wing would make me ashamed to be Canadian."
Cons: "I paid extra for a seat to ensure leg room, all I got was ear ache! The flight - although half empty had no place for my briefcase, but I was "ordered" to push my sealskin bag under the dirty greasy seat in front of me. When I requested they store it upfront for take-off & landing - the french female steward started flirting with the man sitting next to me and didn't even offer a response. When drinks came around - I was handed a half empty glass with juice on it's exterior and borrowed a napkin from the next seat. Later I did get a napkin "thrown gently" over the person she enjoyed speaking with. I was happy to wait until connecting passengers disembarked before the local traffic, but was appalled when the more senior female steward stopped a local passenger who I know has anxiety about flying - to insist she let the other passengers off first. Air Canada needs to be educated on what human behaviour entails, before they can graduate to customer service. Together with my first name, you can know my last name is Floyd"
Pros: "Seats are comfortable and I had plenty of leg room."
Cons: "No snacks offered with drink. Boarding wasn't well organized. Toronto airport is horrible... long lines at customs and security caused me to miss my connection for the second time in a row."
Pros: "Air canada needs a serious serious overhaul of the way they treat their customers especially those working at the Toronto airport I find their employees have an "entitlement" mentality that other carriers do not Customer service seems to be a priority not talking to your coworkers about the weekend while serving your customers"
Cons: "There was one employee who suggested to take an earlier flight and was very helpful Little things go along way"
Pros: "I liked the boarding lines based on groups."
Cons: "Only was offered a small bag of mixed snacks and a drink."
Cons: "Staff was rude. And I was seated next to an alchoholic"
Pros: "All around enjoyed the trip. Courteous and professional. There was a medical emergency on the flight back. It was handled incredibly well by all of the flight attendants. Would use Air Canada again and certainly Kayak as a booking system. Thanks."
Cons: "Food availability was scarce. We brought food on the plane on the way back."
Pros: "Lovely crew."
Cons: "Seating is tight for anyone with long legs over 6 feet tall."
Pros: "Everyone I came in contact with was amazing and super helpful!"
Pros: "There we delays and baggage transfer issues at Montreal for connecting flights. There were delays leaving from Rome."
Cons: "Delays and screening process in Montreal."
Pros: "The flight was less than an hour. So I don't expect anything."
Pros: "Lots of leg room. Friendly and helpful staff. Smooth flight and comfortable seats."
Cons: "We didn't like all the walking to get to and from the plane in Terminal 2, Heathrow. Anywhere else in the world would transport people by bus if it was going to be a twenty minute walk to the departure gate."
Cons: "* Worst food I have ever had on a plane. The crew did not even know what was in some of the food, which is not comforting if you have allergies. * Entertainment system earphones were so bad they were unusable."
Pros: "Flight attendants were polite and helpful. The plane was clean. It was a comfortable flight, though the food was okay."
Cons: "Liked all of it."
Cons: "Flight was delayed by 30 min"
Pros: "Flying out RDU, it was delayed for 3+ hours without any reason. Took close to an hour to change flights at RDU with a very grumpy agent. I was told that I could delay a day and fly the same route the next day, or fly to Toronto, stay there a night paid by Air Canada. Was advised to stay at Toronto since the flight from RDU to Toronto delay excessively with high frequency (and it was delayed 6+ hour the next day). Flied to Toronto, was shuffled through different lines without getting anything. At 10:40PM, after arrived 1 hour 40+ minutes, sent to a line with more than 100 people in front of me..... :-( It's a horrible experience!!!!!!!!!"
Pros: "Like the idea of accessing entertainment via phone tablet or laptop. Just feel the movies could have a better selection of upto date movies"
Cons: "No on board entertainment. Even with the Air Canada app for the phone, the choices were so little. Very long flight without any movies to watch. Will not book with them again."
Pros: "crew was nice"
Cons: "food, no warm towels"
Cons: "The frustrating portion was the airline's lack of desire to fix our problems. The first flight was late because of mechanical issues and then Air Canada was not at all forthcoming in getting us rebooked on the next flight. Something that should have been quite simple involved me having to fight with workers just to get put on a new flight -- nobody wanted to actually do the work."
Cons: "if you get in a que, then the computer goes down , your dead, AC line will be 1.5 hours to get to rebook. then you have 2 day to stay before you can get out. if you decide to go on delta because staying 2 day in hotel is more expensive than buying a new ticket ac will not refund you. Air Canada is the least flexible airline in the world relative to refund."
Cons: "everything-the food is horrible, no space, no monitor so what do you do on an 8 hour flight overseas? When we booked, we were not told that we would be flying Air Canada Rouge, but were told we would be flying a different type of plane with amenities. Talk about Bait and Switch. Will avoid Air Canada in the future."
Cons: "Over 1 hour waiting on phone and disconnected. Terrible. Check-in people didn't even say one single word of apology. they suggested call Air Canada."
Pros: "The entertainment options were the best we've experienced."
Cons: "The flight was delayed and we were worried we wouldn't have enough time to make our connecting flight but no one at the departure airport (Haneda) or on the plane could give us clear advice on how to proceed most efficiently when we landed. There was no offer to help us connect and no one seemed to know how the immigration and baggage situation would proceed in Toronto."
