Cons: "in Guadalajara, during boarding the cabin was inundated with mosquitoes (I mean not just a few, but many hundred at least). Passengers were simultaneously swatting mosquitoes from the first row to the last row. The mosquitoes then joined us for the duration of the flight; well many of them were swatted as evidenced by the bloody mosquito parts left on the walls and overhead bins. I don't blame the cabin crew for this event, especially since they had to endure it as well. However the attitude was that things like this are just part of flying these days, along with lousy food and shrinking leg room. I guess that's the truth of it though. Also not to be over-reactive but there is a public health component to this; Mexico had 805 cases of zika in 2017. And although in general we may be more at risk from a local mosquito that has fed on an already infected tourist, we should make an attempt to limit the introduction of any infectious vectors.."

Cons: "I was sent to the wrong city making my flight time more tiring and longer from Washington D.C. to Seattle to Portland to Honolulu. I was told I would get a $25.00 waiver and did not. Mean while the representative never asked me for id. On the return home I explained to the representative what had happened she kindly apologized for the rep not asking for my id and also saying she would give me a waiver that did not happen so the rep waived my baggage fee on my departure back. Unfortunately I ended up loosing my wallet during my layover because I was overwhelmed with going to a city that was never a part of my itinerary. On the way back to Washington D.C there was massive turbulence but the staff at Alaska airline did not make an announcement or serve any kind of drink for the first four hours. Finally the last hour and twenty minutes people finally came around. Overall I am turned off with the customer service I received,"

Cons: "One of the stewardesses in first class was a little rude to some of the people on the flight. Ex. (the person next to me asked for a water in first class and was given a glass of water and told that's all we have) it was said in a really rude way and almost thrown at him not cool Ex. ( old couple was in need to use the restroom and asked for some assistance and she was really rude to them cause they needed here help to get up. again not cool if she was not having a good day then she should not have came in to work."

Cons: "I had a flight with a connection starting at 6 PM on a Monday. At 5 AM the day of the flight I received notification that the first flight would be delayed, making connection impossible, I was prompted to select another flight to arrive to my destination. I chose a flight with a connection staring at 7 PM. Upon getting on the first flight we began to prepare for takeoff. After about 30 minutes the pilot notified us that we would be delayed 40 minutes because we had nowhere to land at my connection airport. I realized at that point that I would possibly miss my connection, which was scheduled at 10:20 PM. However, I did arrive at the connection airport around 9:40 PM which would have given just enough time to arrive at the connection gate. Unfortunately, upon arrival to the connection airport the pilot informed us that we would have no gate to de-board the plane. The pilot stated that all connections "were aware of our delay" and gave us the gates for each connection. I got off the plane at 10:15 PM and ran to my connection gate arriving exactly at 10:20. The gate attendants informed me that my flight had left, my bags were on the way to my destination city and that I would need to spend the night in the connection city. The attendants, appeared disinterested and impolite but upon prompting provided us with a hotel voucher for the night. The next day we arrived at the airport 2 hours before boarding and waited at the gate. When it was near the time for departure we were informed that the plane had been downgraded and requests were made for some to give up their seats for a later flight or check carryon bags to make room for other passengers. While some lined up to give up their seats and bags, those who chose to remain on the original flight were forced to wait before boarding the plane. We were then told that we would have to wait until the pilot and crew arrived before boarding. Scheduled departure time was 5:46 PM but the time got pushed back until we boarded around 6:30, departure was rescheduled to 6:50 PM. We boarded the plane and waited for departure but a few minutes later the pilot informed us that "he just got here" and that there were mechanical problems that would cause further delay. After an hour we were informed that the plane was not able to fly and instructed to go to another gate for another plane. Departure time got rescheduled to 8:30 PM. The plane departed after 9 PM and arrived at 10:30 PM for a 5:46 PM scheduled departure."

Cons: "Boarding was awful. It took about an hour to board and no reason was given until we were taxiing. (The crew was delayed.) Overhead storage was insufficient. Seats are too narrow. I paid for extra leg room, which I got, but I don't appreciate elbows in my ribs for the whole flight."

My husband got through his line 15min before I was finished in the other line. One line required iPads to be other, the other didn't. Something was seriously wrong with how things were being handled. Bathrooms onboard were a pigstie."

Flew with a 1st class upgrade to DFW and upon missing the connection to DSM (imputable to AA) I would have expected AA to have me await my later conection (3 hrs AA 2488) in the Admiral’s club especially after having paid for the upgrade. THANKS american for starting a war in my family and ruining my trip. unfortunate the crew is so awesome but the customer service is mortifying, rude, inconsiderate and completely mechanical. i dont ever intend on flying with them again unless necessary."

Cons: "Gate supervisor (male) in Dublin was unhelpful. He announced theee times that the US Customes pre-clearance would close shortly. This announcement was in the gate area where everyone had already had to have cleared the Preclearance US Customs. Then when he announced boarding for priority and Business class he "pointedly" told the zones 1 thru 4 to all begin boarding at once (w/ one agent while three agents stood behind chatting) and to only use the one Priority lane. Thirty people all gathered for the very slow process. The Gate Supervisor the says he would start boarding Zones 5 and 6 in the other lane. Zones 5 & 6 all boarded while I (zone 1 passenger) and five others were still in que boarding thru the priority lane. Poor leadership. The Business Class flight attendant while serving snack, spilled my hot tea on my shirt, trousers and iPad. She was very apologetic and said that she wished she had not filled the cup so full. The tea "happens" and was no big deal. The Gate agent on the microphone in Dublin was having a bad morning and transferred his unhappyness to me, which I did not bargain for on the 27th."

Cons: "Told me that if I checked my carry on bag at gate, I'd be able to pick bag up from from the gate at the other end. Instead it went to baggage claim with took more than 30 minutes."

Pros: "the flight attendants were very professional on this flight. the lead attendant was very personable when giving announcements and going through the safety procedures on the public address system. the other two attendants were also very professional in their services as well."

I am extremely upset because I paid an extra $75.00 on day of to get home earlier but ended up getting home at the same time that I would have on my original flight because the flight was late and I missed my shuttle because 1920 was late boarding. I should be reimbursed SOMETHING for my inconvenience...especially after paying $75.00 extra for an earlier flight."

I felt extremely uncomfortable the entire time. My entire neck and back hurt by the time we made it to our destination. This aircraft should NOT be used for flights that last more than 5-6h. In addition, since I was all the way in the back, I didn't have food options - I was given whatever nobody else (that got food before me) wanted. If I had known this, I would have brought food with me. And again, all this could have been avoided if only I could have selected my seat online."

As a military spouse I feel cheated to have had to pay when others checked in for free at the gate. Not cool United, either let the spouse check in for free or make everyone abide by the so-called rules of one carry on that actually fits into that metal baggage guide. I would like a refund of 50.00 for the baggage fees I paid for this trip."
