Flight Crew Review The crew was absolutely amazing from start to finish! They were friendly, professional, attentive, and genuinely made the flight feel comfortable and enjoyable. Every interaction was pleasant, and they went above and beyond to make sure passengers were taken care of. You could really tell that they cared about providing great service. I truly appreciate their kindness and professionalism and would be happy to fly with this crew again!
Orderly boarding, priority for platinum members, courtesy drinks from business class even when we were seating in economy.
I liked the meatloaf the chicken was awful but the plane was on time and got there and the staff was nice.
We paid extra with copa for seats near one another The plane was changed and we lost our seats We were all Separated. We have not received a refund for our seats despite emailing and calling.
We had a five hour layover in the way home from Colombia. I read the "bout your flight" email carefully before we checked bags. We had to go through security right at the gate. Almost lost our ground coffee because that airport only allows 16 ounce of coffee and we had 18. I've been to 48 countries and never heard of a coffee restriction. I can't follow a rule I don't know about. I requested they bring our coffee to our checked luggage. Instead tey gate checked our bag for free. Back to planning transfers in Dallas I guess
The flight was delayed twice and I could not speak with anyone at the airport about checking in. The phone number to Copa - the customer service agents were polite. They are just limited at helping because they are not at the airport
I upgraded myself to Business Class at the last minute so I had a DREAMS window seat. Seeing as I've never flown Business before everything was novel and fun for me and it made the 7 hour flight much more enjoyable for sure.

This airline makes you check in in one terminal and then you have to walk to the other terminal. Its messed up
Delay at the airport was not clearly communicated. No announcements were made and since we are foreigners it was very hard to know what was happening at the Wingo gate.

Wingo changed departure time 3 times and kept us moving from one gate to a different one. A 1 one flight took me more than 8 hours. Don't fly wit Wingo, the worst experience ever
We had a quick connection in Bogota. When we landed, they waited on the tarmac for 25 minutes before they let us deplane. I told the stewardess that we had less than 15 min to get to our next international flight. She did nothing except tell us we had time to get there. We found out later that they already scheduled us for a later flight, but they didn’t say anything until we ran to our gate. The plane was still there but they wouldn’t let us board. When they changed our flight, they gave my wife and I a voucher for food that was less than $40 in value. That buys very little in the Bogota airport.. it barely paid for two fruit juice drinks. There lack of communication was very unprofessional. This will be our first and last time using Avianca.
The seats we had, did not recline and there was very little cushion. There was no entertainment module in the seat.

Overall, the flight went well and the service was good. However, there was a very frightening moment during landing in Bogotá. Just as the plane was about to touch down, it suddenly went back up into the air. The aircraft was not descending straight and seemed to move left and right, which made the situation feel unstable. This was quite scary. After going back up, the plane circled for about 15 minutes before attempting to land again. Although I understand that safety always comes first and situations like this can happen, it was still a shocking experience for passengers.
Seating was tight. Seats don't recline. Initial flight was cancelled. Lost two days of vacation.
Horrible experience with Avianca, they delayed their flight and when we arrived to NYC, AVIANCA took 1 hr y 30 mins to park the airplane and all passenger get off the plane, it made me lost all my trains to get back home and I came back to my place at 3 am instead of 12 am. On the top of that their plane seat are so uncomfortable and is not enough space and killed my legs and knees, Avianca used to be good when it was a Colombian company, now after Brasilian company bought them, their service quality is bad and their flights are delayed and oversold.

Was charged for ticket, unable to check in online, made the line to speak to someone at the counter but was told I did not show up in the system as having a ticket to fly - even though I have the email with confirmation and credit card was charged. I could not purchase another ticket at the counter, only online which was not working. Ended up buying a flight on another airline at the airport. Called customer service to claim the cost of the original ticket, was told I showed up in their system as having a ticket but did not check-in or show up to board the flight. Currently pending review for refund via their customer service team, they were very nice and helpful over the phone despite the many glitches.
Do not book with this airline. Flights delayed over 3 hours and no explanation. They keep changing your itinerary every hour.
Awful. Not water, or chargers or space under the seats, the plane was very old and poor maintenance, seats really dirty, sticky, seats pockets with wires pinching your knees. Connection with no announcements, plane departed 1.30 hour earlier for an extra stop to refueling in Trinidad & Tobago. Even that we had a 3 hrs delay, seated in the plane in the runway.
Really bad. Uncommunicated stop in Trinidad & Tobago for refueling. Extra stop added 3 hours of discomfort without allowing off the seat. Not even water, or chargers or boarding groups.

We waited in an overcrowded bus for over a half hour. It was uncomfortable. It would have been better to have waited in the terminal in a line
The food for sale on board has opportunity for improvement.
I paid extra for a comfortable seat in the second flight, but the plane didn't have those seats, the first one did
The Arajet person who greeted us initially was unhelpful & rude about the mandatory migration form which has to be completed digitally but the systems don’t work properly. The boarding gate was changed twice and initial boarding was delayed. Once on board we we had to wait an hour and a half before take off. It was hot and there was very little room for tall-ish people to fit their knees in. The crew were pleasant but working in a poor situation. The plane was delayed because we were waiting for people from a delayed interconnecting flight. Arajet must have known that before we were asked to board. Better information, decisions & communication were needed.
My seat was broken and the crew had to find me somewhere else to sit. The crew was extremely courteous about this
