The flight itself was fine.
The flight was delayed and it set off a slew of connection problems.
Gate agent was fantastic! Her positive demeanor made for the delays and cancellations to not seem as much of an issue. She was extremely pleasant when explaining what was happening to flights, connections, etc. She was helpful when checking boarding passes to ensure that travellers were ok for their flight.
Again, last minute notification of delayed or cancelled flights made things somewhat worrisome. The late notification led to me missing my nest connection in Minneapolis, and having to sleep in the airport until the following morning in order to transfer my ticket to another flight leaving in the morning/afternoon/evening...very nerve-wracking to say the least.

No one would reissue me a ticket for the next flight. Delta and West Jet kept saying the other company should do this, and in the end no one did and I had to purchase another ticket.
Not much . The boarding process took forever and the lines through TSA took longer .. no direction to lines and I was standing for 10 min before saying something to someone and they said o there’s another line.
Almost everything besides the staff on the plane
They did not have any customs and immigration forms on the plane so everyone had to pick them up as we got off the plane and fill them out before proceeding to the customs area. It was very inconvenient for all passengers since there was not a good area to fiill out the forms and it slowed everyone down. First time I can ever recall the airlines not having the forms available before we landed

Seating is a bit cramped.
American Airlines DISCRIMINATES especially against the elderly! The airlines took my family of 6 off the flight that I booked 6 months in advance, and I had no flight out of Munich, Germany. I do not know why. I called and had them put us back on the flight. I paid extra for seats so that we could all sit together. The seats were given to others and my family could not sit together. The American Airlines employees were not helpful at all! The agent, Rowna, lied to us that we would be sitting together. They will not reimburse me for paying extra for seats that I did not get. The porter that pushed my mother in the wheelchair was more helpful than any employee.
I got tranafered to 4 different gates aand my flight was delayed for 3 hrs with no explaination and the staff didn't try to help
