After that, she and the flight attendants did give us a free drink/headset coupon. That would have been nice but it expires Dec. 2017 and the flight attendant stopped serving drinks about half way down the aisle because the flight was so short. The coupon will be of no use to me. I finally got to Raleigh about 9:30...I booked the flight so I wouldn't have to drive at night.. Sigh....Delta used to be my favorite airline."

Cons: "Airlines in general need to enforce the carry on luggage rules. If it doesn't match the dimensions for the carry on specks then make the people Check it. Don't let it go. If I paid for a seat and I'm allowed two carry ons then there should be room for them. Don't ask people to check bags because of a full plane. The crew should have there own place to store their belongings, not where the passengers do and take their space. The life rafts need to be easy to get to but again should take up a spot a passenger has paid for their luggage to go. If that is the only space for these items then don't allow passengers to bring two items if in those seats or on the whole plane. It's really disappointing when your told you may have to check your bag because there's not enough room."

I found out the night before I was supposed to fly and spent over an hour on the phone with Delta, on and off hold, only for them to tell me there was nothing they could do and that I needed to call Aeromexico. Which I had already tried. Aeromexico stated I needed to call Delta. The back and forth was absolutely ridiculous and made even more difficult by the language barriers. There was a 6am flight that I could have been placed on in order to make my original connections, but by the time the Delta took me off hold, they told me it had been booked up. Instead they had automatically placed me on a flight 5 hours later, with a 6 hour layover in Mexico city, then to Las Vegas, and on a redeye to Charlotte (absurd considering my original itinerary had me arriving in to Charlotte at 9pm with reasonable layover times)."

Beyond that, KLM must have one of the oldest fleets in the sky. Both ways LAX->AMS->LAX, I was on a 30-35 year old 747 with no wifi, no power and a ten-year-old entertainment system. Never again."

Lack of airflow meant that the sunside passengers cooked in the heat from the windows while our cabin mates on the other side were bundled. A bit of air whizzing past would have helped us unstagnate ourselves. Additionally that bit of air on ones face help immeasurably for passengers such as myself who feel a bit of airsickness. Not having that small breath of air was greatly missed. With my compliments to the crew my complaints are about elements they did not have control over - such as running out of food when serving the final snack. Services at the front of the class were good but supplies dwindled and it felt as if the crew were either understaffed or overtaxed because despite genuine best efforts the rear of the class was under supplied. The aircraft itself needed attention in the details - tech such as audio jacks, sub ports were only about 2/3rds functional in my row. I volunteered to have my neighbor charge his phone at my seat as his was very obviously broken. Audio jacks in his seat were broken and my jack necessitated holding the entire flight in order to receive sound. Seats and carpets while clean were worn and in places fraying and thread bare and stained."

The meal options where meat balls and pasta and the meatball option was not good. Then later they served a dessert which was ice cream but didn't let you ask for the flavor. They just gave you whatever came out. They then handed out a flat bread pizza and where in a rush that they didn't give pizza to 3 people."

There should have been someone as passengers reached the end of the concourse from the plan to remind them to get their baggage. I knew but there were at least five around me in line for customs that did not know and I informed them. Wine was awful."

But then we got to the gate and everything was totally fine like why did there have to be so much ado?!"

Cons: "Upon boarding the plane, the passengers on this "non-stop" flight were informed by crew members that because the plane was so small and old, a fuel stop in buffalo would be needed before reaching our destination in Philadelphia. Much conflicting information was again passed by the crew on how much time would be needed at this extra stop. We all were beyond angry and frustrated. Many passengers were then scared because some thought the plane was unsafe. Then the head of the crew began getting angry and pointedly asked a women who was afraid "do you want off this plane then?", in a very sarcastic tone. We paid for a non-stop flight. The crew said that this happens with this flight all the time and has been going on for 10 years. Why in the world is this plane stills being used on trans-Atlantic flights?! This is unacceptable on all levels. The captain said that 80% of the passengers had connecting flights. Schedules were ruined. All passengers should receive some sort of refund."
