My flight was canceled at the last minute with Southwest and these guys stepped up and were so much better. Even though the flight was expensive at the last minute, it was so worth it.

Pros: "When everything was said and done, and most other people on the flight were given free passage to SFO by Airporter bus and then put onto a flight into LAX and then arrange transportation to Orange County (which I had every reason to think was a nightmare for those trying to get to Orange County from LAX due to unclaimed packages (security uproar) and major traffic around LAX and would not work for my disabled family to drive 1.5 hours to pick me up) I paid for a bus to SFO myself and booked a flight from there to Santa Ana (John Wayne) on Southwest. I eventually arrived there around 730 PM. Alaska refunded my flight southbound and still offered me $400 credit which was nice of them. That being said, the propeller planes are really noisy so don't expect a comfortable experience. But its worth it for the convenience to travel from Santa Rosa, CA (Sonoma County Airport) to Santa Ana (John Wayne Airport) provided they don't cancel your flight. Alaska will be adding more flights on this same route by summer and they deserve some credit for that, but at the end of the day, it was my own resourcefulness that saved the day, and got me to my family December 22nd. I would have had to wait until December 24th through Alaska Airlines for the same flight, and that is when my family celebrates Christmas, so that was NOT a very appealing option."

Having my disabled mother have to walk from the ticket counter to some wheelchair waiting area rather than bringing the chair to her started it trip off with stress we didn't need. I even asked if they could bring it to her and they said just go over to the station and wait."

Cons: "I didn't like the attitude received from the person at the desk at the gate. My husband and I looked at our tickets and were surprised to see the seat assignments I had chosen when I purchased the tickets were not there and instead the boarding pass said "see agent". She then assigned us seating in separate rows and handed us new boarding passes. No explanation. We looked at them and handed them right back and said no thank you, we had purchased tickets together. She said, "this flight has been oversold" and motioned for the next passenger to step up. This really upset my husband who told her, "Wait, we are not finished discussing this!" He went on to explain to her we purchased our tickets together with seat assignments - Together. She then said if we didn't reclaim them when checking in, 24 hours prior, the seats then became available again. What kind of logic is this?! Ugh! If I wanted to be treated like cattle I would have stuck with Southwest! We. It's back to Southwest for us. At least they are up front with their rules."

Cons: "My first flight was delayed and caused me to miss my next flight which forced me to have to stay over night in a hotel and take a new flight the next morning. I had to pay for all the extra costs of the hotel, taxis and food. It was very frustrating that they didn't hold the plane just a few minutes since there were a lot of passengers ( including myself) who ran to the gate."

Cons: "I just don't like being charged $40 on top of the fare to bring a carryon bag that fits above seat, this should be included in price and still have reasonable air fare. I chose this flight because of the fare then got hit with the extra charge for my carryon and we did not even get any pretzels or chips to snack on either for free. You have to buys snacks, not even a complimentarty snack, so because of this I will most likely choose to fly Frontier Airlines anymore. The flight was great though. Very efficient and timely and the Pilot was fantastic in his take off and landings. Very smooth."
Cons: "DID NOT like having to wait in Denver airport for the scheduled 9 hour layover and then delayed for another 1.5 hour for a total of 10+ hours. DID NOT like getting lured into a great schedule in March and then in May you cancelled the flight and we had a 9 + hour layover. TERRIBLE. Will never fly with Frontier again. :("

Cons: "* Long line for check in * Flight 137 from Denver to Seattle was almost two hours late * seats on airplane don't recline and there is not an adjustable headrest to hold my head in place * The flight attendant wouldn't let me put my paid-for carry-on luggage in the overhead bin above our seats (we were sitting in row 2, seats A,B, C). She said they were reserved for row 1. So I had to place our paid-for carry-on baggage in the overhead bins above row 4. * no movie or even reading material at my seat * No complimentary snack or beverage (only available for purchase). Are you kidding me? I paid extra money for carryons and check-in baggage for all three of us, and my experience on Frontier made me feel like a second class citizen. I doubt I will ever fly with Frontier again."

The airports recycle, is it that difficult to make that happen for Frontier? The hundreds of plastic cups, plastic bottles, cans, etc. etc. is mind blowing and is something I pay attention to. I actually took my item back to the airport instead of giving to the crew at the end so I could place the item in the recycle bin in the airport after asking your crew if there was recycling. They said there was no recycling. I also picked up a plastic bottle from another seat on the way out to help clean up since I knew you guys would throw it out anyway. Thanks for considering being more sustainable, eco-friendly, and for thinking about my comment seriously to minimize your airplane's environmental impact. I will pay attention and voice my concerns elsewhere as well - recycling shouldn't have to be done by the consumer, the businesses need to step up and make it happen."
Cons: "At every point, this airline tries to nickle and dime you. Costs for luggage and carry ons drive the price up to that of other tickets. The seats are very cramped and do not recline."
Cons: "I have not yet had a good experience on Frontier Airlines, though my personality keeps urging me to give them chance after chance to prove it was "just that one time". The seats are some of the most uncomfortable pieces of furniture I've ever had to force myself to sit in for four hours. To be generous, they are plastic chairs with a thin foam/leather cover over the top that don't recline and have tiny armrests and tiny tray tables. The crew has never gone out of their way to assist me without an eye roll. Every flight I've been on has gum and other unidentifiable piles mashed into the carpet. The planes never seem to handle turbulence well. I, like many other reviewers, was taken by surprise when charged for my carry-on bag. Obviously, there is no wi-fi or other entertainment option, because the airline is archaic. The money that you might think you're initially saving by booking on this budget airline is not worth it. Spend the extra $50-$75 and fly through someone else."

Seats were super uncomfortable, no option to recline, no adjusting head rest, tray table was maybe 4 inches of tray that wouldn't hold a book. Frontier offers no snacks or drinks save water; you have to pay for everything, including soda, coffee, etc."

Once you've paid for your seat and for your carry-on bag(!), you've paid as much as you would have flying with Alaska, American, United, etc. There was no entertainment whatsoever on a 5 hour flight (not even for purchase) and no snack provide either. I believe there was food for purchase but I didn't even look at it. Also, they do not support TSA pre-check. This would have been something the representative I called should have informed me of but instead she told me she had updated my records. So in addition to the fee gouging, their staff are either uninformed or outright dishonest."

COME ON! I've become used to Southwest's far more enlightened policies, which I obviously prefer. Since it also has flights between Seattle and Denver, I'll look much more closely at staying with them the next time I make this trip."

They do not provide even free water in-flight; everything, including even water, is for purchase. Water should really be free. So, overall I would have to rate it low, and highly unlikely to fly with them again.even the checking in process was a real headache! It's not disclosed the amount you'll pay for the carry on until you check in and get your boarding pass, only that a fee may apply. As a military spouse I only have so much extra income and after paying for a flight I never expected to pay for a backpack as well as my seat."

Rudeness seems to be a prerequisite for Frontier flight attendants as they charge for water and carry on bags. We refused to pay the additional $13 to select our seats and as a result were seated on the last row of the plane. Kayak should really add the cost of seat selection, a carry on bag, and water to the price they are showing to be more realistic."

Late and arrival was about 40 min. Late. I do like that charging for carry on means people board /load and deplane/unload quickly.We get what we pay for and Frontier is cheap. We payfor each little add on, reserved seats, beverage, carry on, etc.Good option if cheapness is primaryfactor over comfort, convenience, or reliabledeparture and arrival schedule. Unrealistic tight scheduling means little time to clean or prepareplane between flights."

And all of this gets way more expensive (usually double) if you wait until you get to the airport to do it. Just buy the more expensive ticket with someone else to start with. Uncomfortable, cramped seats that don't recline with the tiniest little "tray" I've ever seen in my life, too. Literally worse than a prop plane I rode once."

I did find out about the seat chafe scam before checking in and asked to just go open seat.....uhh no. So how much would the Alaska Air trip have been....$170 plus $0 for assigned seat and $0 for carry on so $170. So fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.... Their will not be a twice and I suggest Kayak add some notes to fares to avoid future bilking by Frontier."

When I phoned the number listed, I had a gentleman whose English was very hard to understand. He ended up telling me not to worry about the error-it would not cause a problem. I ended up phoning a 2nd time, to another person to assure that nothing would go wrong at boarding time."
