Pros: "I splurged and purchased the first class upgrade as i am tall and it was a very long flight. Loved the legroom and service i received."
Cons: "Went through the boarding process and then we all waited in the line outside the plane for some time. They obviously were not ready to board the plane which was difficult for some of the elderly now standing in line. I had a planned dinner in sacramento which was a main reason i took this long layover and due to leaving 2 hours late i missed the dinner which had to be canceled. This was very important to me. The 75$ discount given to me on a future flight is not going to replace the time off work and the dinner which will now have to wait for anither trip to the mainland."

I have never had that happen on an Alaskan Airlines flight in my 32 years flying on ALASKA Airlines. But the ALASKA Airlines Customer Service desk gave me a brand new suitcase. The only inconvenience was I had to empty all my belongings from damaged suitcase and transfer them to the new one at the airport."

They even made announcements about not standing in queue for the restrooms (note- there was no queue, I was waiting for my mother to find her back to the seat). Less than average hospitality."

I am disappointed--I hold Alaska to a much higher standard based on past experience."

Cons: "So uncomfortable. We had a 25 hour traveling day ahead of us and needed some sleep. It's just soooo uncomfortable and squished. It's painful to sit for long periods of time, let alone try to get some sleep. The girl in front of me adjusted in her seat and totally smacked me in the head when I was trying to lay my head on the table to give my poor back a break. Babies, a lot of babies, and dogs, not good for trying to catch some z's either."

When I expressed my disappointment, the F.A. said that there were a lot of wrestlers on board and they got all the food. I commented that it was poor planning and the FA stated that he didn't think anything would please me. He was argumentative and rude, IMO. He could have handled it better, eg: "So sorry. Out of our control, etc." To say that the food went to the wrestlers, and attitude gave me and those around me, the impression that he really didn't give a damn. Customer service training would be a good idea."

We went home without my bag. Thirty minutes after we were home, the bag attendant called and said they had my bag. We returned to the airport to pick it up because they could/would not guarantee that it would be delivered safely. The attendant said that it was there on another belt. NOT, because I actually checked before we left. Then, she didn't want to give us the Measly $50 voucher. Ugh, still upset a week later."

Cons: "Look every one experiances problems. It comes in the form of weather, mechanical or security issues that disrupt a flight in the form of delays. There is no surprise when this occurs. So when a three hour delay is thrust upon you and you have already given up your carry on and your assigned seats perhaps the recovery should have been less of a surprise. One pilot announcement, and offer of free loyalty points falls so short. No comp eat or drink coupons on the ground. Still got billed for food and wifi. Drinks were offered but ofcourse they ran out before the center of the AC was served. The recovery happens at the moment not in the next few days you will recieve an email with miles. Still haven't gotten any email after a week. I will fly anybody other then Alaska."

Pros: "I traveled with my 86-yr-old mother and asked for a wheelchair. Except for when we got back to Detroit, a chair was there along with courteous, compassionate personnel who were waiting for her to make sure she got where she needed to go. Very nice about letting us board early so we could get situated. Also, one flight attendant noticed that the air conditioning was cooler than normal and saw that my mom was covering her head with a jacket. She asked the flight crew to turn it down and within minutes we noticed a big difference. Thank you."
Cons: "If you are taller than 5'2" and flying coach, be prepared to be completely uncomfortable. There is little leg space. Don't drop anything either...not enough head room to bend over to retrieve an object. Sorry about leaving a napkin and food wrappers, but I couldn't pick them up. Wi-fi wasn't working from Seattle to DTW. Start charging for carry-ons and you'll be just like Spirit and Frontier, but a lot pricier."

Cons: "First, the departure terminal didn't show up on the reader boards until it was almost time to go, so I had to sprint down to our gate. Then, they boarded by zones, but I had no idea what zone I was supposed to be in and it was nowhere on my ticket. Anywhere. Then, when I finally decided to go try to board, they wouldn't let me because they said I didn't have a return ticket. In fact, I had proof of onward travel in three different forms. But they insisted that I had to have a flight as proof of leaving Guatemala and assured me that customs would prevent me from entering. They also said I had 5 minutes to book something or I would miss the flight. No one ever paged me to discuss this prior to departure! And do you know how much Guatemala asked about my onward travel? Zero. Nada. In the fluster of buying an almost $400 ticket, I clicked to book through a third party that doesn't allow refunds. Fortunately, after I landed I called them right away to cancel and managed to make it happen since the ticket hadn't been issued, but if I had failed at that it would have been at least $130 when all was said and done. Ride was uncomfortable, flight attendants we're rude and impatient, and I was ignored for food service."

Cons: "My passport was not due to expire for the NEXT 4 months AFTER my come back day The lady from Avianca didn't let me board due to my passport expiring 4 months after my return day. I had to pay for a 24 hours expedite / rush passport. ALSO, once I got my new passport (17 hours later) I was told that I had to pay $170 penalty for moving my departure day and $680 because I had to adjust to the new ticket price. At that point I decide to buy a new ticket with a different airline. AVIANCA SUCKS!!! They are NOT very accommodating at all. Will not recommend this agency and I WILL NEVER ever again will use their service."

Cons: "Got an email saying my flight time was pushed back 2 hours, flying from Flores to Guatemala City. This meant that I would not make it to Guatemala City in time to catch my flight back to the U.S. As a result I had to cancel that flight and forefeit over $300, AND I had to forfeit the $120 I paid to Avianca. So, Avianca just randomly decides to significantly change flight times and it costs me over $400, AND without a way home. The submission to consider even a partial refund was rejected in a matter of days. This is the worst airline ever and you should never ever rely on a flight with them."

They had to stop service with only a few rows left to go due to turbulence but rather it just being a delay in service, the flight attendants never came back to check on the customers they hadn’t served even when the seat belt lights turned off. I really enjoy flying Delta but not this time!"

Pros: "There was a blanket and pillow available on the seat and the arm rests (all of them) went up... I appreciated that when I had to move mid flight. The attendants were nice as always... they weren't stingy with the small free snack that is included with the flight. (Small bag of peanuts or pretzels) that I liked. Usually feel like it is an inconvenience to ask for more than one.... but they offered 2! I was very happy to hear that!!"

Pros: "I had paid for the Sky level as we were a party of long legged people. Out of the 4 flights we had taken, the best flight was the one from Hi to Atl. The seats, and leg space, was roomy. The food was good. The crew was just okay. They weren't particularly nice but rather abrupt. There were two mates that seems a bit confused. However, the plane was worth it."

Pros: "entertainment system included lots of good choices and free. Crew attentive and friendly. Fairly comfortable seating. Boarding was quick (with Delta Amex card). Several snack choices instead of just the old standby of pretzels."

Pros: "The pilot came through all of the aisles in first class to personally thank us for flying with them. He took time to chat with us and answer our questions, which made me feel more comfortable about the long flight. The stewards/stewardesses were very nice and had us laughing on their welcome messages. The lay-flat seats in first class were the best. Very comfortable, and easy to fall asleep in, without disruption from other passengers who insist on keeping their reading lights on while everyone is trying to sleep."

JUSTO cuando el piloto dijo "prepara para aterrizar", pasaron corriendo para recoger la basura. En total, fue un vuelo muy incómodo. We boarded 20 min late. They made us wait on the plane, a completely booked flight, for 30 min without air conditioning (in Panamá, where the temperature is insufferable)! Later, we had to wait on the runway another 20 min, still lacking air conditioning. Finally, we spent almost the entire flight with our empty meal trays sitting in front of us. RIGHT when the captain announced "flight crew prepare the cabin for landing", the crew ran through to pick up the trays and trash. In total, it was a very uncomfortable flight."

Pros: "The trip started off poorly with a day delay and rebooking hotel and car at final destination. Not to mention our final destination is San Antonio not Phoenix. We were not rebooked for a flight from PHX to SAT. But after a few hours we were finally booked. We didn’t really appreciate the 7 hour layover at 0100 in the morning and nowhere to get a meal or even coffee. However, the flight had the same crew from the night prior and they were excellent. The flight was open so we were able to get more leg room, less waiting time for the bathroom, and pretty much one on one service from our flight attendants. With all the struggle in the beginning, this particular flight was actually the best flight I have been on."
Cons: "We were ok with the hotel and meal vouchers however, again, the only part of our itinerary looked at was the first flight, not the second into SAT. Had we not questioned the agent, we would have been stuck in PHX with no room, no car, and if we eventually would have gotten a flight, our reservations for car and hotel in SAT would have been cancelled and I would have been out $1700. I already lost money but it could have been worse. Basically, I am paying for a car and room that I am not currently in. Reimbursement for that would have been nice. Either way we will still travel using the travel service and this particular airline in the future."

What wasn't told to us was we would lose our seats and be put on the bottom of a waiting list. We were able to board bc other passengers did not show up, however we no longer had our seat preference, so I had a middle seat, although I'm a service member with a left knee issue so my seat needs to be an isle one. Also, there were no food choices that did not account for my allergy."

Cons: "My luggage was inexplicably placed on a later flight which arrived an hour after my flight arrived."

Cons: "I arrived at HNL nearly 2 hours before my flight. The check-in procedures at HNL were very poor. There were not enough operating machines to help passengers check-in. In fact, there appeared to be more non-functioning machines .than working ones which created a huge backlog of passengers. We then had to wait in another long line to have our bagged checked and boarded. This was one of the worse situations I've seen in a very long time."

Cons: "Employees seemed like they didn’t like working for American. Flight was delayed and nobody informed us about it until it was past the past the boarding time. Missed connecting flight and booked on flight 5 hours past original departure time. Sat in an aisle seat and stewardess kept bumping my arms."

Cons: "Agent at gate said overhead compartments were all full and no more room for any bag. So I had to check in my carry on luggage . To my surprise, there had many open space when I walked in the plane. The worst thing was my brand new suitcase was torn. I told the luggage agent the incident and she said they had no liability what so ever."

Cons: "My seat was broken and wouldn't recline very much at all."

Pros: "The entertainment was a new release movie - liked that. The food was okay."
Cons: "Seats not comfortable, especially for a 7 hour trip! My tray table broke and would not close. I informed a stewardess and she apologized for the inconvenience and did her best to duct tape it shut (twice). It's an old plane, I would not recommend for a flight more than 2 hours. Wasn't greeted at boarding. Had to interrupt staff to ask which side of plane I should walk down to get to my seat. I paid extra for 12th row - waste of money!"

Cons: "Nothing special about American. Boarding process doesn't make sense. People crowd the gate during boarding. Aircraft cabin is outdated. Would love to see, at minimum, power outlets for each seat. Cabin was frigid, does it need to be that cold?!"

Cons: "I didn't like that it said Alaska Airlines but it was really American so I ran 4 terminals and had to go through agricultural inspection twice. The guy at the counter didn't want me to check in my bag because it was 58 mins before my flight. The lady at the station really helped me and let me check my bag."

Cons: "No room, small seats and no food"

Cons: "The wifi did not work and we were not offered any food, and the beverage choice was only water or coffee. Very old plane with broken seats."
