The flight attendants are always fantastic. My only issue – and it was on my Haneda to Vancouver flight – same as my Vancouver to Osaka flight – I had a confirmed special meal and they had no record of it on board. I tried to confirm it with the gate agent in Fukuoka, where I initiated the day, because of the mess up a month ago, and she said that they can't confirm special meals. I'd have to see when I got on board.

Great transfer of luggage from my flight with Osaka to Tokyo then Tokyo to final destination in Chicago

Great experienced staff and very pleasant compared to some other international airlines

Flight was good and comfortable, even for long haul economy. No complaints.

Check in was fast, lounge was good. Special section for ANA passengers in the Plaza Premium lounge. Boarding was organized and quick. Crew was very nice. They ran out of the Japanese meal so they asked me to switch to the international meal. Beef was room temperature and not hot. It tasted ok. Japanese meal was served hot. Movies were not great. Chair was very old and recline was not good. TV monitor was very old and not HD. Plane layout in business was 2-2-2. Should switch to the 1-2-1 layout for more privacy. Overall flight was average to good. Service was good but hard product should be updated to compete against much nicer Taiwanese airlines.

They lost my luggage on the inbound flight and then lost it again on this flight. I called online travel agent to change earlier flight to get a longer layover in Vancouver but ANA denied it

Suite lounge in Honolulu is very exclusive and boarding from the lounge into the plane is unique. First suites were huge and comfortable. Japanese meal is like a high end omakase meal. All the staff were very kind and provided sophisticated service. Fast Track upon landing was appreciated but not needed this time because immigration was so empty and easy.

I like the service very much. The food just okay but maybe different culture who like, who don't like.

Everything was excellent. Only the fish entree in the Japanese meal was overcooked and quite dry but everything else was great

Great first time experience on this airline. Very professional staff and great service.

Good the crew was nice very kind and very helpful

The original email I received and flight that I paid for was for Japan Airlines. Since JAL is a partner with American, I ended up on an American Airlines plane. This would not be a problem, except that JAL allows 2 check in bags for free and American only allows 1. A $100.00 unexpected expense was very disturbing, especially since I will have to pay it again on my way home. I feel like it was a bait and switch. I never would have chosen American Airlines if I had known that I would have to pay $200.00 in baggage fees, above and beyond my airfare. Secondly, the check in counter representative did not realize that I had TSA pre-check, so I had to return to the check-in desk on a different floor to get a new boarding pass. The AA representative helping at the check-in kiosks was very helpful, kind, polite, and professional when I returned for the new boarding pass. Thirdly, the crew was not as friendly as I have experienced on other airlines. Their tone when speaking to other passengers was not always polite. The food was better than I expected. However, I am used to having a station where one can serve themselves water, juice or grab a snack. That was not the case on this flight. Truly makes me think twice about booking with American Airlines. I am very disappointed.

Crews are rude and short. Example: after my drink and was ready to prep my bed to rest. I tried to give my empty glasses to the steward while she was playing her card game on her iPad. The steward told me to take the glass back to my table instead of taking the glass out of my hand. Compare Japanese steward it’s like heaven and hell.

I felt that the customer service improved compared to a several years ago.

I traveled business class from Lax to Narita flight Jl61. The crew was attentive and polite. Food was good quality and service was as it should be. Narita to Bengaluru Jl753was another story in business class. The cabin was darkened for the 9hr:30min flight, food was mediocre, service was below standard and crew can't speak English to save their lives. When you ask for noodles soup from Ala carte they gave cup of noodles while Lax to Narita i was served the best Ramen noodles in a big bowl. Why the disparity on this leg of the journey.....or is it because there were mostly Indian passengers and it really did not matter to Jal to bother as its a poor country and Indians refrain from speaking up? A good airline but differentiation like this brings their reputation and business down.

Terrible. Our flight was delayed by 15 hours. We lost a full day of our vacation.

highly recommend for trip to japan only reason why i gave good not excellent is because their selection of movies and tv shows in English is more limited .

We asked for Hindu vegetarian meal in advance and the quality of the food was horrendous. Never flying JAL again!

Overall a great experience. One complain was the vegetarian food that my wife had which was mostly boiled vegetables with not much flavor.

Very accommodating and kind airline crews. The plane is also big which makes the passengers more comfortable and relax

Not much of anything could have been done better unless I had a first class ticket. I was literally 15 hours with an airline in the economy class. Very professional friendly and attentive crew. Good airline food, clean cabin, seating area and bathrooms. I've been 4 times back-and-forth with Cathay Pacific, and I would not choose another airline for this trip. Five out of five stars.

Well- trained, cheerful onboard staff. Business class seating and storage were excellent. Outstanding range of food choices, though quality ranged from just OK (seasonal rice and beef dish) to outstanding ( congee and soup noodles with beef brisket). But what can you expect; it's on a plane. I couldn't figure out the remote control, but touch screen worked well. My wife and I (in our 60s), didnt find much to watch from the Entertainment choices. We mostly watched the flight maps. The bedding did the job but is unwieldy and ends up in a clump, with one-third falling on the floor.

First time tying out business class with this airline, hat a disappointment, never returning. We didn’t get the meal as requested from Singapore to HKG flight. While meals served connecting flight, crew takes meal order based off passenger membership status by giving the. Priority selection of meals. It was a battle, plain disappointment, not worth the hype, price, class as categorized/ advertised

The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The food was great. Lots of movies to choose from as well as tv shows. Highly recommend.

The lead business class attendant was excellent. Made a point of greeting you and knowing your name by the time you leave.

A lot of things Never flying with this airline again Had an emergency landing

The only problem was my connecting flight to Chiang Mai on Hong Kong express that I booked through Cathay Pacific was canceled and I was never told about it. I was rescheduled on a flight 10 hours later. Very long day at rgr airport in Hing Kong after a 13 hour flight but that's OK, I understand things change but I think I should have been told. I would have prepared myself for a long wait. Great flights all around though. Thank you

Overall pretty good experience. It would be nice to have caught the attendants even they were flying down the aisle with snacks, and if they could cater to multiple dietary restrictions (bland and no lactose. The customer service chat is a bad experience), but otherwise no complaints.

Great entertainment system, the seat is a bit old style needs refurbishment

Boarding at the airport was not well managed. Otherwise, had a good flight sitting in the first row (which I paid for). Crew was pretty friendly, and flight was smooth.

I was unable to check in online so had to line up at the airport. When I got to the counter? The staff told me I had to check my carry on luggage, which cost $70. When I boarded the plane, I saw many suitcases that were bigger and heavier than my carry on… so not sure how they were able to bring them on and I wasn’t …

Waited for 1 hour on tarmac because they couldn’t locate a tow truck. Flight was fine once we eventually took off.

Late departure, late arrival, and personal items on laps during takeoff and landing. Departure gate opened on time, but no direction as to whether to board at front or rear of plane based on seat number. Fashionable staff with sunglasses inside the plane and cockpit remained for ten minutes after the boarding complete announcement. For a scheduled 80 minute flight, adjusted to 65 minute as noted on takeoff; the total time on the plane with delays was r more than two hours. No confidence had there been an emergency that anyone would have been able or aware of what to do.

The flight was OK, but you need to warn passengers going to Vietnam that the full first, middle and last name needs to be in the issued visa, At least 5 passengers on that pane did not have that. We all had to pay $298 each to some agent to amend the visa. At least one lady could not and was left behind.

VietJet is a discount airline like EasyJet, Flair or Spirit. I flew 3 flights in 2 weeks and all were Airbus 321's. 2 of the flights left and arrived on time and 1 left and arrived about 45minutes late. Seat pitch in economy is 29" but exit row seats have super-generous leg room. There are no power ports or entertainment of any kind. Food is best purchased on-line before the flight but there is a limited selection available in flight - cash only. The aircraft are clean and the airline is run as well as any other airline that specializes in economy passengers.

Our flight was 3 hours delayed and the airport was hectic as our boarding pass said one gate while the digital screens said another gate. Attendants were clueless and said to watch both! Vietjwt cared more about selling their merch than even providing any water for the 2 hour flight

Cheap flight but more expensive when the airlines demands you pay over 30$ for 1 kilogram overweight ( it is 8,2kg I have for carry on baggage) The flights announcement 2PM, and it departed 4 PM, no announcement for delaying, People says Vietjet is delayJet airlines in their blood.

Vietjet tried to steal extra money from passengers by forcing them to change the name on the ticket that was correctly filled in on an English form online when ticket bought online. I bought the ticket via a foreign website where the language is English, At filling in the passenger's name, it says middle name first, then first name, and last name, That the ticket done and printed. when my wife checked in the staff at the check in counter said that her name was written wrong, she must fill the name in Vietnamese style, writing the Last name first, then middle name, first name comes last, even though her name was not misspelled. At the aiport I asked the Vietjet customer service, if it is written in Vietnamese way, it will be wrong when she travel abroad ? The custom service could not answer. It took over an hour where my wife was thrown like a ball between the check-in counter, to the Vietjet customer service , then to passport control. The cost is 110,000 vnd for change place in vietnamese way, I thought if there are millions of passengers who have done the same mistake, how much money Vietjet raked in every year On the flight, it is not allowed to sit in the empty seats in front or next to me, I sat in the middle in a row where two big men were sitting, I really need to change seats but the crew asked to pay extra to buy the empty seats. It is petty and cruel of Vietjet. There is no other choice than the state-owned airline, then you have no choice but to swallow the bite

Our flight was delayed for about 3hours however the ground crew made it sure that we will not miss our connecting flight from Hanoi to incheon.

If there could be simple free food or snack or some entertainment.
