Once we are on airplane, they are still shuffling seats around, so ppl cannot move forward. Just standing there for 10mins waiting for things to settle. Flight attendants did not give us a headphone. (I have a headphone for iPhone X so I could not connect it to their entertaiment system.)"

Cons: "The fact that I was charged $150 to check a small cosmetics bag is no loose change ! I would have carried it on but my hand is in a brace and I has to have extensive surgery. Then yoy get to the gate, and they repeatedly asked for volunteers to check their bags for free. I think this is a very unfair policy and try to explain it to the curbside attendant. I literally cannot carry more than five pounds in my left hand until I get bone replacement surgery. I'm also having knee surgery soon and this small additional weight would be caused me excruciating pain ! They didn't care and still charged me $150 for a bag thats no bigger than 12 inches and weighs less than ten pounds. Thats the way you treat your first class passengers? One other quick note: the sausage and egg sandwich? that was served for breakfast was absolutely horrible! Thumbs down !"

They took our plane out of service (which I get, I would want brakes before takeoff), but then they never updated us on our status, until I physically went to the counter to ask an hour later. This is when they informed me that the flight was cancelled and we were rebooked on the 9pm flight (Mind you, this is 12:30p and I have a 2 year old with me). Luckily, I was able to book JetBlue and get home earlier (8:00pm)"

Cons: "The crew was nice and everything, but they weren't very good at making announcements on the loudspeaker. You could tell they didn't really know what they were saying or haven't practiced. One lady was trying to make a sales pitch for a new master card and you could tell she was reading and there were long pauses. My sense is that when using the loudspeaker to talk to the entire flight, one should be practiced and know what they're saying and communicate quickly and efficiently. Don't mean to be critical, but it's something that I noticed that could be improved."

Also they weren't able to give any idea when the flight would be boarding- they just kept sending text alerts that it was delayed another half hour and no updates were listed on the screens. When the flight finally left, after I had been waiting for over 5 hours, we were told that they would be flying low, so there would be no beverage service. It would be nice in these situations to simply have bottled water to pass out quickly, or make the announcement prior to boarding so people would be able to bring their own beverages."

The screen said carousel 12 and confirmed it with local reps and then after waiting for a while some passenger says "if you're coming from Charlotte the bags are at 11, that's where I found mine". The miracle of flight is a miracle. I rarely complain but more often than not when flying domestically I realize how stretched the airlines are."

It was a bit of a tight squeeze trying to get out of the row since I was in the window seat. Was a little bit upset that I complied with the carry-on rules and many of the other passengers DID NOT! The flight was over sold and they did ask for volunteers to give up their seats. I wish United would stop doing that!"

No access to the headrest video screen w/o paying for it, lame. Snotty unconcerned flight attendants as well. Overall one of the worst flights I've had in memory. I would pay more next time to fly another airline."
Pros: "I had no problems the gate agent was very nice and I did get the basic economy which that only did I have to pay for my bags but I also got the last seat in the back in the corner which is OK I guess I’ll pay more attention to the fair I still probably saved a little money but I don’t know that I save that much I think that sometimes the boarding agent needs to pay attention to the carry-on luggage for sure bring a lot carry-on luggage which doesn’t allow for others to have carry-on luggage who were in the later groups and then they get penalized with their bags being checked as there’s no more room and they’re not basic economy but other than that I like taking United they have nonstop service between Orlando in Houston and it’s been a wonderful experience most of the time and I think the airlines do a pretty good job considering the traveling public themselves to be very challenging at times professionalism and courtesy works both ways and unfortunately people buy tickets and think that it’s a one-way street. they then run to the media who loves to make it about the big guy versus the little guy anyway good job united and I will continue to fly you when you’re the most appropriate carrier to get me to where I want to be."

There weren't even options for me to pay the outrageous pick a seat option when I was doing my preflight check in 24 hours in advance."

Already frustrated, and with my knees hitting the seat in front of me because the seats are too close together, a flight attendant scolded me when I dared put my leg in the aisle (which I often do on other airlines without incident). Once on the ground, I went straight to United's baggage office to see if my bag had followed me, and encountered two of the rudest people, cutting me off whenever I said anything more than they needed to enter into their computer. If your job is in customer service, be friendly, apologize when things go wrong, understand that your customers are your reason for being in business, and be helpful."

I'm honestly surprised that old tiny plane made it to Orlando in one piece. We had a preacher onboard and we had him praying the whole time cause the plane would suddenly drop in altitude, or shake, and it made this really loud buzzing sound the entire time. We had to yell to talk to the person next to us cause it was so noisy. I wasn't expecting a whole lot cause it's not like I bought first class or anything, but I'm genuinely trying to repress the memories of this experience. As for the rest of the rating choices, there was no food. Just a tiny water bottle. No entertainment, unless you count begging to live through the journey."

Only one carryon allowed which includes your purse which caused mass redistribution of everyone consolidating their stuff in line to the plane. Flight was late taking off and once we landed we fortunately made it to the gate before a tire blew out."

Cons: "i would not fly again if possible. My trip consisted of 3 flights, starting in Fort. Lauderdalento to Orlando, Orlando to Denver, and Dever to Aspen. However, The first flight operated by Silver (a partner of United) was delayed due to "maintenance". Due to this delay, we missed our connecting flights and had to get new flights, causing us to have an over night layover in Chicago and then arriving in Aspen Sunday, the next day of our original arrival day. I just want to add that I saw on the departure board that Silver had maybe 16 flights that morning/ afternoon and maybe 7-8 of those flights, including mine, were delay or canceled. Not to mention they never updated their board to reflect our flight was delayed. The only good comment I have was that the Silver attendent who helped us get a new flight was very helpful."

Tried to kick me off, told them I'm 27 and got accused of looking way younger. Thought I was gonna get kicked off. Finally took off- my seat was in the last row and seat back was broken so I was sinking into the back of the plane getting poked by metal so had to sit straight up whole flight. Plane was so small and old I was terrified the whole way. Finally land and pilot says they are understaffed so had another delay. Then the shuttle trains at airport were broken so had even more delay. I was so late I almost didn't graduate. Did I mention TSA machine incorrectly identified an object in my anal cavity? Hindsight would have rented a car and driven 6 hours than take this 1 hour flight. Worst flight ever."

Both of us have had so many issues with our flights being delayed with no real explanation, apology, or compensation for our inconvenience. This most recent time I was supposed to get to my destination by 8 am and didn’t end up getting in until after 6 pm. The time before I was delayed for 12 hours before they finally decided to cancel the flight. You REALLY cannot expect anything. It’s a cheap flight and absolutely nothing more. You also get charged for every tiny little thing- including your carry on. My fiancé and I have never completely written off an entire company before but we will truly never fly Frontier again. I’d rather pay double the price to fly with a different airline than save a couple dollars and fly with Frontier. Good riddance."

Overall, though the crew was great, I would NEVER fly this airline again."

Cons: "11 hour delay .....Flight 740 From phx to den departure @6 am had a mechanical. First it was going to be delayed until 10 am them 11 am then 4 pm then 530 pm .it left at 6 pm . It got in at 9 pm by the time we got the car and got to out friend home it would have been close to 11 . We would have been up for 20 hours ( got up at 3 am to get there for a 6 am flight . We were going to a business meeting in demver in the morning in the afternoon a 70 th birthday lunch for my best friend. This trip was planned for months . We live in phx after it was clear we had missed both events we went back home @5 We ended up paying for a supper shuttle and a rent a car in Denver . We paid all that money To go noware the customer service woman there , was uncaring to everyone on board we were just on our own . I am heartbroken we missed the party ."

There was confusion about the seats as we boarded, which we did by zones, but still had aisle traffic which defeated the purpose. My connection was moved to another gate and they failed to announce it ( yes it was on the screen, but I don't travel that often and was lucky to notice it just as we were boarding... luckily just a few minutes walk away ). The plane offers no entertainment at all ( which is fine for me, but worth knowing... bring a dvd player or something for long trips )."

If you don't want to pay $35 to check a bag, it's cool they understand, they'll happily take $40 to let you carry a bag on. Well, not happily. More begrudgingly than happily. Customer service was poor, bordering on hostile from one sky waitress in particular. It's hard to blame the airline's employees for their poor attitude, as I would be disheartened and upset if I was surrounded by a plane-full of customers vowing to 'never fly frontier again'"

Cons: "The seats are not angled to fit the figure of a person. The back of the seat leans back and the head of the seat is perfectly straight up. It meets at a point where that does not line up with the persons body height depending on the person. If you just leave it at one angle of give it the potential to lean back just enough, People will be that much more comfortable. I wasn't the only person who mentioned this on my flight, in fact I spoke with 3 people and overheard others complaints as well. One angle or at least a centimeter of space to lean back...I don't think it will mess with people behind them since there's no tv or entertainment and I think it will continue to bring more people into frontier."

Cons: "I am allergic to dogs and cats. This is a growing problem for me because it seems that the rules are looser and people keep a pet on their lap and service animals are increasing. There were two on board ( One not a service animal, the other one was) and I spoke to the gate agents who were mostly uninformed and unsympathetic . There is an overall lack luster with everything about FRONTIER and I get the no-frills / buy what you need concept, but there is no accommodation for people with serious allergy, and there is an increasing ability to get the certificate to have a service animal for just about any malady it seems. I respect the need for a service animal. However the passengers who have to sit in an airplane with recirculating air with dander are largely misunderstood. I asked to speak to a FRONTIER supervisor and there was no one to be seen and I got a stock answer from the gate agent in Orkando who was chewing gum so hard, it was difficult to have a conversation. Eventually I gave up my good seat to go further back from the animals who were seated up in front rows. That makes it worse when you have to pass by them to get back to your seat. And again, the gate agents were not helpful in getting me on the plane pre-boarded. Yes I take medication and sometimes I am OK and for the record, there is no truly "hypoallergic dog" for me. That is the excuse I also get. It is tough to live with when people around you do not understand . I was also recently deplaned on United airline because of this problem. I cannot stop flying it is always something now I have to worry about until I get to the gate. I do not wish it on anybody but if you had the reaction of welts itching and swelling it would be better understood as something that needed to be addressed by the airlines. Cons: "Yes it's a budget airline but the seats are not very comfortable and there is absolutely no leg room unless your 5'4 and they do not recline. The seating arrangement is nuts they choose for you, you can choose yourself if you join their club and you still have to pay. The carry on/checking fee is $30 if your bag is 50 lbs or less. Otherwise you will pay $75 I believe. The only thing that is free is water by the cup otherwise the small bottle water is expensive. Yes it's a budget airline so remember, on longer flights I think I would rather pay more and have a more comfortable flight. Also the Airbus 319/320 that they use suck. They are old and you feel a lot of turbulence."

The man who almost got bit told the woman that dogs should be in kennels during flights and she said "oh I don't know he's never done this before." Well awesome for you but I've never been bit by a dog on an airplane before either. The guy let it slide and moved on. The tray tables are a joke. They ONLY offer complimentary WATER. No leg room. Would not recommend."

Cons: "We had already paid the luggage fee and just needed to drop off our bags for our MCO to DEN flight. It started with no curbside check-in. Incredibly poor service at ticketing/baggage check. A mass of people. No directions. Even employees (when asked, not one volunteered any information) didn't know which line was which. Only four people working the counter. And then the airline called for people leaving on a flight after ours and brought those passengers to the front of the line. When we got to the front of the line the employee's response was "You need to be here three hours before the flight." For a midweek domestic flight? ATA treated us like this once. They're long gone. Goodbye Frontier."

I can't believe they haven't invested in this type of tracking system....its 2017!!! Very bad customer service. No communication or mis communication on status of lost bag. Really they have no idea where it is. Promises to deliver lost bag at certain times and never do. Took time out of my day to stay home and wait for bag between 12pm - 6pm as they asked. Never showed up. Never called to say they wouldn't be showing up. They did this to me 3 times! It's 1 week later and I still don't have my bag. My ski trip was completely ruined. I've flown domestically, internationally, and I have never felt so uncared for as a customer. Tales of this terrible airline were told to me before I chose it. I can't stress this to any future potential customer. Choose another airline. Not worth it no matter how low the price is. Hidden baggage fees and terrible customer service will get you in the end!"

Cons: "The airline did not provide seat assignments at booking or prior to the flight. To secure seats together with my 11 year old son, I was upcharged at the airport ($85 for tow flights). No amenities were provided. Apple juice cost $3. No in flight entertainment, not even a magazine. This flight cost as much as a major airline when I booked it--the only convenience was timing back to our original airport. Add the seat up charge and I probably paid more. This experience proved to me that it might be ok to pay a little extra for a major carrier, especially on long trips."

Cons: "Denver to Atlanta one of two bags lost. Delayed our trip to Asheville by several hours and arrived in the dark, much to our chagrin. The bag was 'driven' directly to the house the next day. On the return, the bags were nearly an hour late before appearing. We were over charged for bag fees. Computer did not show the checked bag purchase at booking, so were charged full 'at the gate' price. Seats are uncomfortable and do not recline. Rows too close together. Every seat filled, making the flight noisy, crowded and uncomfortable. The flight was definitely NOT worth the savings."
Pros: "They totally failed. Never again. Totally ripped me off. Almost didn't make my scheduled visit with my daughters I only see twice a year. I had to spontaneously book emergency flight with United, which was great by the way. But cause was such short notice cost me 900 dollars. Frontier did not refund my checked bag fee and left my bag in la-la land. I found it. Thank God. Then they, frontier, only refunded me 50%. Do t k of why. Will dispute. What a headache, inconvenience, rip off, and waist of valuable time. I learned. You get what you pay for people."
Pros: "If it weren't for the convenience of a non-stop flight, I would not fly Frontier. I call the airline "Fleeced Here." They nickel and dime their customers for everything. Seat charge when checking in, carry on bag charge, charge for soft drinks and asking the customer for a 15, 20 or 25% tip for a service that once was part of the flight attendant's job responsibilities. The trip added approximate$ly $150 more to my flight. I will keep that in mind the next time I choose a carrier. My $176 ticket bloomed to $325 before I got home. :("

Different prices for baggage depending on whether you book it when you book the ticket or if you do it at the airport. Charging for a seat reservation is nonsense. Of course so free food, not even peanuts! I am so tired of being nickeled and died by airlines that I now will actually refuse to make certain trips unless I can drive. No other industry in this country treats its customers as shabbily as the airline industry."

Cons: "Other than paying for the actual ticket, which was NOT cheap (approx. 40% more than getting there AND it was a "red eye" to boot) everything else was an "add on".....pay for "carry on", pay for seat assignment, pay for coffee......everything was extra. On top of this, most of the seats did not recline and had very little padding.........I guess you could pay for reclining seats. Although the Exit seats were empty, you could not sit in them unless you paid for them. My wife's reading light did NOT work.......I guess she didn't pay for the light!!! The flight attendant apologized and said it's been on a work order to fix and offered to provide another seat ONLY for her!!! I'll NEVER fly Frontier again."

Cons: "I have never flown Frontier before, and I never will again. First off, I always travel light and never check bags. This usually means I can check in via the kiosk right away with flights, but this was NOT the case with Frontier. For some unknown reason, I had to check in with the desk agent. There was a line. A LONG line. Not only that, but there actually weren't any desk agents, as they don't show up until 2 hours prior to the flight. It took over an hour to accomplish a task which usually takes less than a minute, and due to the long line I barely made it to my flight, despite showing up at the airport 2 and half hours early. Flight #1 - Like I said, I have never flown Frontier. I didn't know it was possible to make an airplane so uncomfortable. I understand it is a budget airline, but there are ZERO comforts. The seats are grey plastic, completely rigid and with no tilt. They are crammed together so close that finding any sort of sleeping position is nearly impossible. The fact that you have to pay an extra $30 for ONE carry on and then pay for ANY sort of drink/snack equates to actually paying about the same for a flight with another airline. Want to check an item? You're actually paying MORE than you wold with another airline. Flight #2 - Took off over an hour and half LATE because the system was down. The gate agents literally read off EVERY NAME one by one, over 200 people, to check them in and get them on the plane. They also filled the plane from back to front, which is proven to be the SLOWEST way to board passengers on a plane. Flight #3 - This was an early flight. 6am. I woke up with an email alert from Frontier saying that the flight was delayed until 7:30. Understandably, I was upset. This would cause me to miss my connecting flight. Luckily, I decided to go the airport anyway instead of getting another hour of sleep. Good thing too, because the flight was in fact NOT delayed. If I had heeded the alert email, I would have missed my flight for being late. Flight #4 - This flight, on the other hand, WAS delayed. 2 hours. The gate was changed 3 times and another aircraft had to be found due to malfunctions with the first. Honestly, I don't understand how Frontier is still in business. Worst travel experience of my life. I will never fly Frontier again and I have already started telling all of my friends not to use their services. -Adam"

Cons: "Where to begin in this one. To start the flight was delayed for about 10 hours. Life happens delays are inevitable but thy way frontier handled this was absolutely the worse customer service I have ever witnessed For starters after the initial delay the flight was removed from the departure board. Only a single intercom call was made regarding the delay of the flight. After this every passenger was left in the dark. Only by asking other airlines were we able to find our new exit gate and leave time. Tens out that was wrong as well and the frontier employee in staff left as soon as possible and refused to answer questions. I contacted customer support, who belittled me for missing my flight. I was told that the plane had departed at 1245 and that I should have been at the airport an hour before the departure to ensure I was on the plane. During this entire time I was staring at the plane right outside the window. There system had lost track of the plan. After being transferred to a supervisor he spent about 20 minutes trying to figure out where the plane was before he listened to me telling him t was right in front of my eyes. They lost a plane... He then attempted to explain the delay which I already knew more about than him from all of the other passengers pooling our knowledge. The supervisor (id#881311) refused to give me a guarantee or promise that e would provide a way for us to all be informed. As of this point no annocumebts ha been made, the departure board was empty, and all websites stated that we had left an hour ago. However after my phone call in about 10 minutes the website updated to show that we were now delayed until 730. Sill no information was provided in terminal. The entire flight proceeded to go to the ticketing counter in an attempt at some reimbursement for this inconvenience. There was only two frontier employees inside the entire terminal at the time. They had to be badgered for refunds. After hours we were finally given 15 dollars in food coupons... The only reimbursement for this entire debacle. No more information was provided until we boarded the plane around 830. The flight crew provided no reimbursement or sincere apologies and the entire passenger base was treated as if we were the issue. When leaving the aircraft the flight crew was unsure if which baggage claim we would be going to find our luggage so we were directed to three different claims Frontier is a disorganized uncaring and unflinching airline that is only still around by some unknown miracle. They have a 1 star review across the board on all review sites I could find and it was well deserved."

There was 0 leg room and the "tray" is only a few inches deep, which hardly fits a laptop. I was surprised they didn't charge for the use of the bathroom. I am sure that is next. I have to say the majority of people around me were expressing the same sentiments. I was also assigned the middle seat in the very last aisle. A flight attendant moved me to a better seat as soon as he could. I was very happy it was only a 2 hour flight."
Pros: "On time departure."
Cons: "Ridiculous charges. Went on an iPhone for the reservation and a reserved seat was $6 and up.. A few minutes later I went on the iPad and it was $12 and up. Didn't select one when there were abundant seats available and was seated in a middle seat in the rear of the plane. As we got closer to take-off announcements kept being repeated with graduated prices for carry-ons until just before boarding it was announced that carry-ons would cost $100. Crazy. Upon landing, we sat 30 minutes on the tarmac since no one was available to man the gate. Uncomfortable seats which don't recline. Never again."

Cons: "When I arrived at the airport (pdx) I was informed immediately that I would be refunded. I knew before hand, via Google, that my flight would be delayed so I checked in at the counter to make sure I would be able to make my second flight from Denver to San Antonio, when I walked up to the counter, they asked for my name and then golf me I would need to be refunded. At this time, I tried to find out if they had another flight to San Antonio only to have the woman helping me ask "do you want me to refund the money or not? I'm about to press send." I'm sure that had the flight actually existed, I would be able to give a better review and I don't really want to mark down the crew for something, I imagine, was out of their control, but I can't give them any stars as my interaction with the staff was very limited to just the ticket counter. I will most likely NEVER fly with Frontier again based off of this experience."
Cons: "We landed in Denver and landed a little behind schedule. The flight was below average as the pilot was navigating in "bad" weather. It was not even raining. Once we landed the pilot continues to get on the radio to tell us we would be sitting for 10 minutes. After over an hour we finally moved to a gate. Now that we are over 1.5 hrs after our schedule time frontier took over another hour to get the bags to baggage claim. This is embarrassing for a company that is inflexible in changing flights, charges you to pick a seat, charges you to check a bag, and charges you to carry a bag on. They should return all their customers money from this flight I will not be flying frontier again."
Pros: "Gate agents and flight crews were very nice people."
Cons: "Seats were barely minimum quality, no entertainment systems, no food (not even a little bag of peanuts or pretzels), flights were late, and on the last leg I missed my connection, partly because we were late, but also because there was no ground crew to get the plane to the gate, so we waited over 15 minutes just meters from the dock, and watched the ground crew handle several other planes down the line, during which time my last flight must have taken off. I was rebooked on the next flight to my destination, even mentioning my checked bag, which I hoped would also be placed on the next flight out. That last flight was also delayed in departing, and when I arrived at my destination, my bag did not. I filed a claim, and was told I'd receive an email with a claim # and contact info, and my bag would be delivered to my home the following day. No emai arrived, and no bag arrived. I have filed another claim via the airline's web site, so we'll see what happens. Also, they charge high prices (IMO) for checked bags, carry-on bags (1 personal item is free), and seat selection. Not as economical as it seems at first! I doubt I will ever use this airline again."
Pros: "My husband said that there was a little more room than usual in the seats, in part bc the seats don't have a full size drop down tray. I did appreciate that the seats were comfortable even though they don't tilt back, and since they don't tilt back, it means you don't have the person in front of you tilting all the way back into your space."
Cons: "Frontier is really just another cheap airline that will charge you extra for everything now. It's annoying enough that you have to pay to get a seat assignment and to take a bag (carry on or check) but when the flight attendant said it would cost be $1.99 to get a cup of coffee, that was it for me. I also found the dinky little half trays annoying - there's no way to do anything on them. and since they don't lock, every child on the plane spent the entire trip dropping them down to hear the loud sound they made. Also with the arm rests. Oy. Also, the board of our flight out of Denver was ridiculous. The flight was delayed quite a bit and then Frontier check in person not once but twice announced we would begin boarding only to then realize it wasn't ready yet and shut the doors. It was really weird."
Cons: "First leg of our trip was delayed so we could not make our connection. We were told they could fly us to Denver and catch other flight home 3 days later or completely rebook to the next closest city. (They do not partner with anyone so you are stuck with their flights) Which we then needed to book a hotel, cab fares to the megabus station, then cab fares back to our original destination. Once arriving, and even though we checked in hours before our flight, our baggage was missing along with about 10 other passengers. Frontier had no one at their baggage service when we arrived. So I had the drive 2 hours back the next day. Called the help line. The person was rude and began getting loud with me, even though they are the ones that lost our bags. 90% of all the customer service people we encountered were extremely rude and would not help. Nor were they very accommodating for all their mess ups. For all our troubles, the rude "customer service" people, and out additional hundreds of dollars; Frontier sent us a coupon for a whooping $50 to use on their airline. No thanks, will never fly this airline again."
Cons: "I've always been dedicated to Frontier but am quickly losing hope. They gave our gate away to another flight that was 3 hrs late. While boarding that flight, the gate attendant announced the Captain was on the wrong plane so passengers deplaned and started over. Our gate changed eventually. When arriving, our gate wasn't ready, and the crew had difficulty pulling in. We had a 2 hour delay with 40 minutes waiting for our baggage. Very poor communication. We found out more info on line than at gate. This was coming home. My story getting to Chicago on Frontier was as bad if not worse. Many other stories were being shared as well. Sad to see an airline that fought so hard to survive treat their loyal customers like this."

Cons: "They charge for for everything on this flight. Checking in - it cost $35 to check your bag in - $40 of you want to board with it! I do all the work and I have to pay more? Then to pick a seat - any seat - it is another $5 - $25. I understand that for premium seating (ext, etc) but any seat? Finally - drinks and snacks - that costs money too. While the fare looks cheap - beware of all the add ons. At a minimum, you have an additional $70 to $100 to the price of the ticket This does not turn out to be a cheaper price....beware."
Cons: "Told at the checkin desk it's $35 per person to "confirm our seats" -- two in the exit row as all that remained. Why? I paid $250 per person to confirm I wanted on the aircraft. I showed up 1.5 hours early to check in. Also told at the desk it's $40 per checked bag ($45 per carry on!). So when I get to the airport I'm forced to pay $150 more, just to fly to my destination. Credit card only. The lady checking in next to me paid me cash so I'd help her pay her extra fees. Not how to treat your customers. That's what I call a scam. If all this was in the small print, I missed it, and it was tough to find, having booked through Kayak. Won't be duped again. Goodbye, Frontier."
Pros: "I liked that I received a text from Frontier at 430am letting me know about the first delay. Unfortunately not everyone was as lucky as me. I liked how polite the crew was. I liked how they provided me with a $100 voucher to make up for my delayed flight and allowed me to use it to pay for my carry on bag and seat on my return flight."
Cons: "The flight was scheduled to take off at 8:00 but was delayed over 8 hours until 4:30pm. It was then delayed again and ended up take off at around 530pm. Then upon landing we were told there was no gate available and we ended up sitting on the runway about 20 minutes. So I got off the plan about 10 hours after I was scheduled to get off the plane. I also didn't like that you had to pay for everything: checked bags, carry on bags, snacks, soda. I mean I thought we would at least get one free cup of soda."
Cons: "First, flight was delayed over 1 hour for non weather reasons. Next, my seat had NO arm rest cushion. It was missing. I asked the flight crew for a pillow or blanket, i was told they don't have any. They did not care about my seat not having an arm rest cushion. Next, no in flight entertainment. Once we landed, had to wait 15 minutes for an open terminal to pull up to. Then i still don't understand this, we all get up to get our overhead suitcases, and then the flight crew gets on the speaker and tells everyone to sit down because they need to get their suitcases first. Guess customers are not important to Frontier. Then lastly, not frontiers fault, but we then had to wait 1.25 hours to get our checked suitcases."
Pros: "The crew was very friendly and the plane for the most part was clean."
Cons: "This is a very stripped down way to travel. Expect to be nickeled and dimed for everything. Carry on ran me $40. However, they don't check if you actually paid the carry on fee and put your things in the overhead compartment. I watched people putting the backpacks and other items up there (and they did not pay). Additionally, nothing is for free on board- food and drinks will cost you (even a soda). The worst was not realizing you are assigned a seat (free), I got the middle seat (yay)! If you want to check in and select a seat, it will cost you $9 to $45 for any seat (they also do not recline)... Just crazy! My trip ended up costing me the same amount as a Virgin America ticket I passed up because it was too expensive."
Cons: "They charge more to carry-on than to check. By the time they made that clear, it was too late to check and they just threatened to raise it from $40 to $60 if I didn't act quickly. Everyone involved—from the gate attendant to customer service—has an impatient, condescending response about how these policy was made clear at the time of purchase. They are obviously very well practiced at explaining their ostensibly clear policies to throngs of ignorant masses who somehow didn't understand them when they purchased their ticket. In fact, their speech is so well rehearsed that you'd almost—almost!—start to question if they have actually made their baggage policies as clear as they think."
Pros: "The flight was punctual."
Cons: "I'm claustrophobic and was stuck in an aisle seat. My air vent wasn't working and I tapped the flight attendant, a woman in her late 50's to mid 60's, asking her to help me with it. She said she was about to give the presentation on safety procedures and that it was "more important than air right now." This happened pre-takeoff. I was upset about it and she never did help me with the air vent. Then, they do the service where they charge for everything and no one can get up to go to the restroom until they pass through, and they take a long time to do it. I was very unhappy, but kept to myself."
Cons: "Your check in on line is too confusing. Too much advertising mixed in with the check in process. Your food and beverage service SUCKS. No snacks or drinks unless you pay. Prices are rediculas for a drink. One little bag of peanuts or crackers and a soda is not too much to ask. We already pay too much for the ticket and luggage fees now we have to pay for a snack and drink. This may be my last frontier flight. And when are you going to get a better boarding system so I don't have to crawl across two people to get to my seat??"
Cons: "They cancelled my flight. Soonest Frontier flight they could re-book me on was EIGHT DAYS LATER. They have no agreements with other airlines to book cancelled passengers with. They would NOT pay any hotel expenses. It was left to me to find alternate transportation home as well as book a hotel room for the night and pay for it. This was the absolute worst airline I have ever flown on in all my years of air travel. Did I mention that they even charge for the in-flight soft drink? Oh yeah, The seats don't recline, none of them."
Pros: "The crew was very pleasant. The flight was the cheapest I found. The pilots on the round trip were very capable."
Cons: "The reason why it's so cheap is that they charge for everything. For some reason the site combined my first and middle name. I noticed when checking in and was prompted to change it. I was then showing a $400 balance even though I had already paid for my ticket months ago. I called customer service and they luckily updated it for me. The person then proceeded to tell me if I check a bag, bring a carry one, or want to choose a seat, there will be a charge. $60 just to bring a checked bag (27 lbs by the way) round trip. I opted not to spend even more money on the carry on and seat. I've seen other airlines charge for seats, but they're typically upgrades and you can choose another available seat for free. Not Frontier. If you don't want to pay the site tells you it will choose a seat for you. I don't know what the point of checking in 24 hours in advance is juat to be put in the last group no matter what. Speaking of seats, these were plastic, tiny, and uncomfortable. Speaking of uncomfortable, the plane felt like it was going to fall apart with even a hint of turbulence. Overall not great and I may have to go elsewhere for plane trips in the future. But that's up to Frontier."
Cons: "Didn't like being misled on price. Charges for "a bag" and "a seat" were not made known until AFTER the reservation was made. Refer to the original business/pricing model. 1. Everyone has some baggage. Deal with it. Enforce carry on limits 100% and openly offer check bag at a reasonable price. 2. Seats are NOT a profit option. Seats are increasingly uncomfortable, cramped and added with premium charges. Finally, the travel experience should be a pleasant and memorable one, considering the time strapped in a seat. Its OK to have Coach & Premium seating, but stop adding "option pricing" for an increasingly poor experience. I will not fly Frontier again."
Cons: "Flight was scheduled to depart at 9:20 PM on the 24th. On way to airport, I was advised of a 5 hour delay. At that point I returned home (1 hour 15 minutes from TPA airport) by which time the delay advice was increased to 7 hours. I called Frontier and they agreed to rebook me (at no charge) on a flight on Feb. 26th since all flights on the 25th were booked. I just checked and saw that Flt 291 actually departed TPA at 5:02 AM on the 25th. As always, it was stressful trying to talk to an agent having to listen through numerous recordings before I couold connect to ascertain times and make changes. I contacted Frontier at least 5 times and had language difficulties every time."
Pros: "The plane is clean and the crew nice."
Cons: "I'm sure you get this all the time and you clearly have thought about it but when you add up all of the ala carte extras, then the fact is another airline would likely be better. I spend $16 on the seat and $40 on the carry on. Interesting nickel and dime concept for sure. But then I get to the seat and it doesn't recline. OK, that's fine I guess I only paid $16 for the seat. But what's with that thing you call a "pull down tray". You can't get a computer on it, even my tiny MAC. So I put my briefcase on my lap and I guess made my own little table. That's a bit much."
Pros: "All was on time, crew was friendly, emergency on board was handled well."
Cons: "The seats are not movable, so you could not lean back a little. No screen for entertainment, tray table was less than half the normal size, uselss, snack choices, had little that one might consider healthy. A lot of junk food, and a huge offering of alcoholic beverages. Could we maybe have healthier food. It could still be pre-packaged somehow. Cost of carry on: $30. Checked suitcase: $25. That did not really make any sense, other than they make more money that way. Also irritating that if you want to have a specific seat, rather than waiting for what you might get at the airport, you have to call them, and pay $13 for a seat reservation. They are nickel and diming you, or rather in dollars. It is a rip off."

Pros: "Clean, comfortable plane. Pleasant and polite staff."
Cons: "When I checked in I had to pay for my seat - minimum $13 up to $35. I did not see an opt out option. Checked bag is $35 which isn't great but is reasonable. Carry on bag is $40 and "more at the airport" - are you kidding me!? One personal item is allowed but if it doesn't fit entirely under the seat you will be charge a fee "greater than $40" to change it to a carry on. My personal item did not fit and I was not charged for a carry on. Personally I would be very upset if I had paid for a carry on and seen people like me get around this. No free snacks or drink on the flight either. Frontier needs to be more transparent with their pricing and take a lesson from an airline like Alaska that gives free beer and wine on their flights. Their website is very difficult to use on an iPhone and the only option is to print the boarding pass - not to email it or add it to passbook. I do not have a printer so I had to download the frontier app in order to avoid printing at the airport. It is clear that Frontier Airlines is pushing the bounds of "calculated misery""
Cons: "Once I payed for the overpriced checked luggage fee and the hidden carry one fee and then had to purchase a seat on every leg of my flight, it cost me $166.00 to print my boarding pass. WHAT!!! Biggest scam I of airline moguls I have ever dealt with. Not only will I never fly Frontier again or never recommend Frontier to anyone, I will surely go out of my way to make sure everyone knows what a rip off it is to fly Frontier. I could have flown on a decent airline non-stop with a soda and maybe even a movie for what it cost me to fly frontier."
