We were told that in Europe passports cannot expire within 3 months of your departure. However, Delta never let us know about this rule until we literally were boarding the plane. How they could not make us aware of this until we were boarding the airplane is unbelievable and unacceptable. This has ruined our vacation which has been in planning for the last six months."

Cons: "On this A320 craft, old style, the First class seats are a joke. I had seat 2B. The pitch is apparently less than in the Comfort+ rows. The passengers in 1A and 1B started reclining even before departure, and during the whole flight. For me and my neighbor, with that seat on our chest, it was impossible to reach down to the seat-back pocket, not to mention to the bag stowed under the seat in front. To get out of the seat, I almost could not get my legs through the 5-in. interval between the back of the front seat and the irremovable armrest. I shook the passenger sleeping in 1B rather violently a couple times. The lady in seat 2B apologized, but she had to climb and put her feet on my seat to get out of hers, there was really no other way. Delta needs to address this ridiculous situation of their First Class seats urgently."

Everone was mixed up, business, gold card, economy, and only one person doing the chekcing of boarding passes. It was not the best process."

Customer service at our arrival gate was extremely slow. Baggage claim closed before my daughter’s luggage was released and it was lost until the next day. Our connecting flight was booked incorrectly do we had to spend the night in Frankfurt. Our 13 hour flight took 29 hours. The food was awful."

When I approached the flight attendants about it, with a smile on my end, I was offered the equivalent of a shrug. As I gave up, I was also informed there was no more room in the overhead bins, so not only did I end up sitting in the middle (which I loathe), but also with my carry-on under my feet. I’ve always been a fan of Lufthansa, but I’m a little disappointed this time around."

Cons: "I was actually upgraded to Business Class through a LH miles award, however, that upgrade was not honored, despite the fact that I had a confirmation email from them. I had to first get to Frankfurt to even negotiate this problem. At the departure point, LH was unable to furnish me a boarding pass to my NY flight. After racing though the huge airport at max speed to make this connection, I was treated rudely at the gate in Frankfurt by LH short tempered ground staff, to the point of even being accused of being the source of the problem and being late for boarding (when I was only accorded an hour connection through this booking, and raised this concern with LH prior). Lastly, the ground crew took away my connecting flight boarding pass and nearly forgot to give me back my luggage tag. The flight crew was Ok, but just did a bare minimum to keep up with the packed and overbooked flight. To top of the joy, I got food poisoning after landing in NYC - not all food they serve was in sealed containers, and it must have been enough to cause a day of misery that followed my arrival - I can assure you that the late time and taxing and docking delays in NYC took away any opportunity to have a normal dinner, and LH food was all I had all day... Not the usual LH experience, but I may give them a break for the next few trips."

A male steward showed he could be professionally stern when backing up a female coworker handling the situation and compassionate when he comforted an elderly woman in distress halfway through the intercontinental flight. The entire crew I interacted with in economy class were professional, friendly, welcoming, and helpful."

The staff especially in Chicago where we began this awful experience couldn't care less about our situation. Then AIr France lost our luggage and provided no help in locating them. We had to rely on folks who had friends working in Zagreb Airport to locate them. Air France is incompetent, insensitive and unprofessional. If you have an important trip avoid Air France - they treat you like captives not customers."

Cons: "My American partner's passport expires 2 months after our return to the US. Unfortunately, the French issued a year ago the following rule: to enter France, the foreign passport must not expire at least 3 months after the return date. British Airways let us fly to London, explaining this to us, how it would be on us if there were problems further down, and that we would have to get our luggage in London. We chose to fly thinking it would be OK, we had listened to an online person who had had the same problem and the French later told him they would have let him in, also I am myself a dual citizen of France and the US, plus I am autistic, an invisible disability (in my case) that makes it impossible for me to travel alone. I usually do not even say it since not much is understood -by those who do not have it- on how to accommodate it However in London BA did not allow my partner to go on. Due to the fact yesterday was Easter Monday, the American consulate in London was closed. We have spent the night in a nearby motel and now, the next day, I am waiting alone back at the airport with our 2 large suitcases while my partner is at the American consulate. We are poor, do not have phone, currency or charger for England, and I do not do well with stress, so it is difficult. Now we cannot easily reach one another. We hope to be able to fly on a standby basis (that's what BA told us we could hopefully do) later today. Sorry for this long letter, I hope it does not bore whoever reads it (if it is even read :). I would have booked American Airlines if I wanted American airways. there was no indication that the flight would be operated by any other than British air until I got to the check counter at British airways, and they sent me to the excruciatingly long check in line for American."

Cons: "The co-flight wasn't made clear to me. This was an American Airlines flight as is my return. Beyond the brand and gate confusion that resulted from this, the flight was delayed a couple hours and the plane looked like it hadn't been refurbished since the 70s."
Pros: "The customer service people were very helpful after we missed our flight but it would have been better if they were proactive in helping passengers who had limited time to get to their transfer gates."
Cons: "Reactive rather than proactive staff ... They should have informed us of a fast track lane if there were any but too many were standing around not helping. But the system was terrible ... Maybe it was just that particular day."

Cons: "The coach seats even on this 6.5 hour flight were uncomfortable. The seat backs have no support. The aircraft was an older 767 and did not have entertainment screens on the seat backs. Thus there were no games or other interactive programs. It had the overhead monitors for movies. Hopefully they will modify that plane soon."

Pros: "Flight was supposed to leave 5:45 PM , they let us board the plane right on time, then we stayed waiting on board for half an hour, there was zero communication from staff or the captain, then suddenly they asked us to leave for no reason whatsoever, we waited and waited, they decided to move us to Gate 1 instead and had us wait for four hours, they served us little food, and told us wait for AA to provide a new plane. we were delayed for four hours, flight left 10PM. very very dissatisfied, never ride with AA or Iberia"

No WiFi and having to look up to the middle isle to watch a child's movie on repeat " Guardians of the Galaxy." My neck and back were in extreme discomfort from the 8 hr flight back to NYC. If AA had headrest monitors and WiFi this could be avoided. Its 2017 stop being cheap!"
