The Young African American woman who was at the gate was amazing and so reassuring that I would make my flight to Chicago. Would book Delta, just because of how nice she was to me."
Pros: "Having just exited the AeroMexico flight that came across as unprofessional, it was refreshing to get on a Delta flight. It was not really exceptional, but it met my expectations. The Delta agent on the telephone on the day before our flight WAS exceptional, as she tried valiantly to get us checked in to a flight that had been changed (by Aeromexico) several times. Delta was also exceptional in helping us retrieve our luggage after AeroMexico lost it."
Cons: "The noise by the engines in the back section on the Delta flight was rather unbelievable. As a physician, I think it was likely physically damaging to our hearing. If this interior aircraft noise can’t be avoided, I think earplugs should be offered to passengers in those seats."
Pros: "Gate personal kept us notified about flight delay. Flight crew was very positive on plane and they were as miserable about the delay as we were. Snacks and drinks were brought out. The gate crew keeping us updated is what saved the name of Delta. If she didnt do that people would have been angry."

Three out of seven of the flight crew were not happy about how badly they were being treated by call center and /or management while they were delayed with us at gate. Snacks were brought out because of delay but they were just junk food. Nothing I could eat due to allergies."

Next flight was not much better, oh and wifi did I t work on it also - last 3-4 delta flights I've taken have been late and didn't have working wifi - starting to think their system doesn't work at all - seriously going to take any other carrier but Delta going forward"

I understand the flight is under 3 hours so certain foods aren't available but Delta you upgraded everything else. Cons: "I drove 5 hours to get to the airport and unfortunately ended up delayed because of traffic and slow shuttles from parking. I arrived 1 hour before the flight, but security was so slow I didn't get to the gat until 10 minutes before arrival. There were no gate agents present and despite banging on the gateway door and other Delta agents at the adjacent gate, no one helped me. I can only surmise that they had already given away our seats, which were award tickets, GAINED BY BEING A LOYAL DELTA CUSTOMER. The gate agents were unapologetic and useless at rebooking, and I bought a ticket from Southwest instead. As i was trying to get to my sister's wedding, and repeatedly told the agents this, their behavior was particularly abominable. DELTA, YOU'VE LOST A LOYAL CUSTOMER."

We had previously booked and paid for Main Cabin extra seats in the second row that included extra leg room and free drinks. We ended in an airplane with two exit rows, one near the front and the other near the back. Our seats were right behind the rear exit row in the back of the plane. The seats did not recline and there was limited leg look because the exit row seats were aligned differently due to the crew seat next to the door. Also, the bathroom was right in front of the row in front of us and so it was busy, noisy and smelled. Obviously we didn't get our free drinks either. Now I'm having to fight with American trying to get a refund of the money we spent for the Main Cabin extra fees. The fun never stops. I will never fly American again."

In Dallas I had to run from one flight to the next. The only reason I made was because the connecting flight eas also delayed. In rhe end we landed at SFO (instead of OAK) over 2 hours later than originally scheduled. To make matters worse, there was a backup on the Dublin grade, making the drive home to Tracy over three hours long. arrived at SAT at 4:30 PM CDT and arrived home in Tracy after 3:30 AM OFT. oh yeah, and my luggage didn't make it at all..."

The worst part about this flight was that I traveled with my girlfriend and when I went to check in, 24 hours before, there were only single seats left and there were so many open seats together that were considered “preferred” and had to pay $80 for just one “preferred” seat just so we can sit together on an 8 hour long flight. The seat didn’t even have any extra legroom or anything, it was a normal seat. American Airlines is just trying to squeeze money out of anything they can."

The ground staff were superb in dealing with a full plane load of passengers many of whom had onward connections. This meant we had to stay overnight and fly first thing the next morning. Full marks to United for dealing with a potentially dangerous situation and then assisting everyone back in the terminal."

One of the agents at Bradley International Airport Sammy put her hands on my friend and screamed in her face USING FOUL LANGUAGE with a line full of people and their children waiting to check in. It was unprofessional and uncalled for. We did get police and management involved. The overall experience was terrible."

Upsetting that we missed our connection due to United's poor planning, they didn't hold our connecting flight for us but we had to wait all night for other flights."

After placing several calls prior to my departure date to confirm that my 40 inch TV was ok for transportation , it wasn't until I got to the airport to find out that I was unable to take the TV or the TV stand.. I live in Philadelphia and had nowhere to leave it causing me to give it to a stranger in order to make my flight . I am very distraught that the information indicating there was an embargo restricting the transportatione of TV greater 32 inches or boxes to Montego Bay was not given during any of those calls.. I don't understand why that information was not sent in an email prior.. On top of that I placed a call to customs in Montego Bay and was adviced that the embargo is enforced by the airline not customs... If I could some how get some answers regarding this I would appreciate it..."

Also, the aisle seats on the plane had a narrower underseat space that my little boxy carryon wouldn't fit into--and it usually fits under any underseat storage...Luckily the passenger in the middle was willing to swap places."
