That’s just outrageous and the staff was not helpful at all"

Without batting an eye, the crew took on the thankless task of cleanup. We noticed that the bulkheads had fixtures embedded in them to allow a small basinet to be attached to the bulkhead. One couple used it for their infant and it seemed to be a lifesaver. I don't know of any other airline that offers this."

By the time they charge you for everything, you don't save any money. And they even weigh every purse, backpack, handbag, etc. at the gate and start charging customers for carry on. Don't fly with these guys. And because their customers are dissatisfied, all the employees I encountered were rude."

Basically, carry-on overhead compartments have been made smaller on purpose or by engineering error, and this makes me not want to fly Qatar airlines again. Less food options. I went to the Gally and they only had kitkat bars for food. Emirates offer fruit, sandwiches, and many choices at ALL TIMES of the flight for economy class."

Pros: "This review is for return travel from ATL to MAA (Chennai, India) and back. Route: ATL-DOH: about 14.5 hrs; DOH-MAA: about 4.5 hrs; Likes: 1. Baggage check-in process was simple and easy. 2. Meal preferences was good - I'm a vegetarian and on the onward journey forgot to specify the meal preference but the crew had enough inventory to meat the requirements. 3. Every seat was provided with a small plastic pouch/packet/goodie bag that consisted of a eye mask (very thoughtful), pair of sock, toothpaste+brush (very thoughtful), hand cream. This was very useful and effective. 4. Entertainment - options were good and current."

Not sure if this is something to do with the browser (tried with Firefox, Opera) 2. It would have been good, as part of the online check-in, if the users reminded to specify the meal preferences, etc. I forgot to specify the meal preferences but thankfully the crew had enough of what I wanted. 3. Take a relook at the packaging of the toothpaste tube in the goodie bag. It was sealed in such a way that it was difficult to open it w/o a sharp object. This should have been easier. 4. Seats were the worst part - poor legroom. Worst, the seat cushion is the worst. I think it was just a fabric over a metal seat with minimalist of cushion. ATL to DOH leg was the worst (and the longest leg of the trip). Unless you have open seats next to you it would be a back breaking and painful trip. Seat comfort wise, I would rate Qatar as the worst. Luckily on the return leg (DOH-ATL) next two seats to mine was empty, so was able to stretch and sleep well. DOH-MAA or MAA-DOH seating was little better (think its a older plane; newer planes have worst seats) 5. The website was damn slow while accessing from overseas. Even in the US, at times the website hangs-up, freezes or spins often. 6. Food was ok -dinner and lunch but minimalistic; I didnt see any specific breakfast menu or any coffee served separately (was part of beverage option during lunch or dinner) 7. There was no alert, communication, notification, reminder of upcoming trip via email or text, etc. Many airlines does this very often but Qatar was totally silent on it (they did have my email during checkin). Not sure why."

Pros: "I liked the fact that there was a water refilling station so I could get water when I needed/wanted it. The people were friendly and there were lots of times when the lights remained off so that people could sleep. There weren't a lot of interruptions during the flight so people could rest or do what they wanted! I also like that Quantas is associated with American so I got a ton of miles!"

Cons: "The flight was delayed 1 and a half hours to start with. Although the entertainment system on the plane is very good, half way through the flight it started having issues. Movies stopped playing and then the whole system locked up. First it was just individual seats that had problems but eventually the entire plane was unable to view anything. Even a complete reboot did not help. We spent the last 6hrs of the flight unable to view anything even though they repeatedly tried to reset the system"

Cons: "The last time i flew was in 1999 when i was single and traveling NZ and Australia. This time i was taking my family. I had boasted to my fam that Quantas (was famous in my memory) as having economy seats that felt more like other airlines Business Seats. My kids were eager to experience the "Quantas" seats. I was severely dissapointed to find that your economy seats, now, are even smaller than the Chinese seats we regularly fly (we are in our 5th year of ex-pat assignment in China). You should have seen the look on my kids faces. Evidently, i must have "talked Quantas up too much", because there was a great deal of dissapointment. We will travel back to NZ and Aus., this fall, but will no longer prioritize Quantas as our airline of choise. I guess times change, and a little bit of nastalgia lost.... :("

Cons: "They did not do their best to help us talk to the Australian embassy to allow us to re enter Sydney even as transit passengers just to be able to take our flight with Philippine airlines early the next morning. I know we made a mistake of getting flight to Manila in Sydney. We should have just gotten flight from Auckland instead but it was an honest mistake. They should have just allowed us since we know it's possible. We spent 14, 000NZ additional for that mistake."

Pros: "Excellent service in every aspect on the Qantas flight! The time on board was just over three hours, and still we received a full meal, blankets and headphones, and had personal tv screens where it was possible to watch the latest movies. Well done!"

Pros: "Boarding was quick on-time, and organized and we landed early in Sydney. We were lucky to have an extra economy seat for our 14 hour flight. Needless to say, we were comfortable throughout the entire time. The flight attendants were extremely friendly and happy. I loved how they closed the entire cabin down (windows closed and lights off) so that we could all sleep. All in all it was a very pleasant flight. We'll definitely fly Qantas again."
Cons: "The food was very average, but we don't count on good food in economy, so we weren't disappointed. My entertainment mechanism wasn't working correctly and I was unable to access TV or movies for most of the flight but it looked like everyone else was enjoying their entertainment."
Pros: "Our American Airlines portion of the flight to Dallas Fortworth was late. Qantas had someone at the gate looking for us to tell us where to go and to call ahead to say we were coming. The flight was a long overnight one, but the crew made it as pleasant as was possible. We were served a meal and offered drinks and snacks throughout the night."

Cons: "On flight bwi to dallas dec 27, loaded us, 2 hr wait in plane on tarmac, then cancelled due to storms and too many planes in dallas on ground. Removed all of us from plane to rebook, a nightmare. Then proceeded to immediately reboard next flight of passengers on same plane to same destination and take off. Return flight booked all at once, Sydney to dallas to bwi. Sydney flight late, gave us special red easy pass envelope with boarding pass to connect to dallas-bwi flight. We had to wait for luggage, then in line for customs, and another line for re checking luggage, then walk to next gate and another security line, and flight left without us. Easy pass did nothing for us. Missed flight by 5 min. Gave us the impression when we got off sydney flight they were going to wait for us. Waited 45 min for luggage, 20 min for customs and 10 min for security. If we had any special treatment at any stage we would have made our connection. Worst experience with American Airlines ever."
Cons: "We missed our connecting flight and was put up in a cheap nasty hotel. This delay resulted in being redirected to LAX where we had to wait over 8 hours at the airport for our flight. When we finally landed in Sydney my wife's luggage was missing they discovered that it was left behind in Dallas. The airline later told me after I called back to check the status her bag did make it on a later flight only to discover that they were wrong. No bag as of yet, our entire vacation has been a disaster."
Cons: "I went to the counter to check in 1 hour before the flight (at around 6am), and the counter has already closed. The lady at the counter said that we had to check in at least 3 hours before the flight, which is a lie. I asked if there is anything she can help re-schedule, and she simple refused to help in anyway. I am very disappointed on the service of Quanta airline."

Cons: "I can't remember a more cramped and uncomfortable flight. Missed connection on way Paris and we arrived 6 hours late. It took British airways 3 days to get our lost luggage to us. Delayed on way back, adding 4 hours to our trip because the first plane was not "serviceable" and they had to get a replacement. They arbitrarily decide who has to much carry on luggage and force you to check it last minute at the gate while letting others with same size bags take them on the plane. Certainly no better than bargain flights and possibly worse. Why pay extra? No more British Airways for us."

Cons: "Indifferent inflight service is probably a compliment. The worst insult was to the 120 passengers whose flight to Heathrow was cancelled. They waited hours for the flight to Gatwick. On arrival BA announced that the buses that were promised by ground staff in Venice had not been arranged because BA didn't have the resources at hand. Useless as usual!"
Pros: "The price of the flight offers is what made me purchase through kayak, but the disconnect with the airline and booking agency left me stranded and ultimately required me to buy a flight directly that will take me almost half a year to pay off not to mention the inconvenience of switching airports and sleeping on a bench for 4hrs."
Cons: "When I missed my flight, the airline would not offer assistance because I booked through an online vendor (webjet through kayak) and when I called webjet they failed to help me rebook, made me buy a new flight, then when I called looking for the flight information, they managed to cancel the flight and then claimed I had requested this when I had done no such thing. On top of this they only offer next calendar day booking so even though they are fully responsible for botching up the second flight I booked. I have talked to 10 individuals from different agencies. Everyone passes blame and responsibility off on someone else. On top of everything else, noone but the American Airlines representatives showed any empathy or concern for my being stranded for the night. Based on this experience, I will do everything in my power to dissuade people from using Kayak, webjet, amadeus and British Airways."

Cons: "The cost to check in a bag was 65 pounds. We are a family of 3 and so that was 195 pounds. It is unreasonable to charge that much to check in a bag and ridiculous for ticket pricing to not be clear about this."
Cons: "Four hours before departure, the flight was canceled! Unfortunately, the ticket workers were too few in trying to reboot all the passengers. I was transferred to United after an hour and a half wait but was sent back to Aer Lingus (who was operating the flight for BA) by United because the Aer Lingus ticket personnel made the reservation on United but failed to provide the information necessary to generate the ticket. Never British Airways/ Aer Lingus again!"

Cons: "While I prefer beef to be cooked rare to medium-rare (and mentioned this) on both legs the meat was well-done and dry. This is common to many airline steaks, and may be an unavoidable consequence of the limitations of preparing food on board. (Though I have had reasonably prepared meat dishes on certain AA flights). All dishes are highly under-seasoned, but a packet of salt and paper is provided, so this is not a curial concern."

We are a party of 5 with US and Canadian passports and Green cards which understandably the check-in process is not "standard." They should be more alert of the situation and help us along with the check-in process more appropriately instead of directly some of us one way and others another way and when pressed, they gave very unsatisfactory answers."
