One hour before landing was the most scary part of my life. The plane just dropped from the air . No explanation or apologies from the captain. Women and children screaming everywhere. Would like to know what happened
My flight going to doha had economy seats that had a little more leg room. Coming back the leg room was not there. I'm 6'3" and my knees were against the chair in front of me. I couldn't slide my feet under the chair. The 15 hour flight felt like torture from the lack of sleep I was getting being so uncomfortable. Food and crew were great though.
It was excellent except for at the very end. I woke up about 1.5 hrs before touchdown and wanted to order food in the Business class. I was told they had shut down food service. It would have been good to get a heads up before they closed the service. Anna the air hostess was wonderful. She did get me 2 bowls of fruit and I was very appreciative of her. Wonderful human and a hostess.
Amazing airline accommodations. The cabins were so great. The food was very good and the flight attendants were so nice. Made a 15 hour flight seem easy.
I paid extra for seating when first booking flight to be in a comfortable economy seat They still changed it to a middle seat regardless. When I asked for it to be changed back to aisle, they could only give me one at the back of the plane in the least comfortable seats.
Just happy I flew Qatar Airways awesome no wonder they are #1 in the world right now! The food was just delicious, very courteous, professional crew.
Polite and helpful crew. My son developed fever. Crew members came and gave him medication and also came and enquired about his health several times.
Qatar screwed up by delaying our onward journey for refueling, which resulted in missing our connecting flight to India. the airport qater staff at Doha, herded us like cattle in a very incohesive and uncoordinated way. We were then given 2 options: either catch our original flight the Next day ( After 24.hrs) or catch 2 flights instead , to goto our destination in India. All this, for paying a premium for Qatar.
food in Qatar was terrible. I had ordered asian vegetarian meal but the food lacked any flavor. Choices of entertainment was also very limited. emirates is way better in terms of food and entertainment.
Privacy and comfort of the QSuites is wonderful. The boarding process in Doha is cumbersome and confusing. As transfer passengers, traveling in Business Class, we went through security twice, including one at the gate requiring all electronic devices removed from bags and watches off, which are a great way to lose belongings as a few hundred people rush through to board the plane.
If I had a chance to rate Turkish airline in negative I will definitely give -100. Worst non professional attitude of ground staff at Istanbul. If I was a owner of Turkish airline I would definitely fire all check-in staff who was on duty for this flight. Rude attitude to all customers. Non availability of food options. Chicken and fish option was finished within 8 rows and only pasta was available (seat rows 25- last row). Seat Front glove boxes were ripped and all stuff was dropping on floor. Flight crew was trying to pacify the customers but this is sole responsibility of the manager who arranged / booked the food for this flight. He must be removed from this position as he has no idea about his job. It was worst flight during my whole life. Never booking again on Turkish airline.
Our flight attendant was stellar with great anticipation and attention to details. Food was very good, and overall flight, though very long, was really good.
Turkish Business Class is a wonderful experience, and the best inflight dining experience I’ve had to date.
They are absolutely impossible to get hold of. A death in the family caused us to delay our departure. They are impossible to get through to and after waiting 41/2 hours I was told they would not consider helping us. They cancelled our return flight and have not reimbursed anything. I strongly urge readers to consider a different airline.
Delicious food, comfortable and clean plane. It's a little cramped in the hall in front of the gate.
Absolute worst airline. Charged us $720 to check 4 bags (2 of which were carry-on). Entertainment systems didnt work. And on a 12 hour flight they served 2 meals and never once came around outside of those 2 meals with a beverage or cup of water. Will never fly them again.
Turkish Airlines is amazing. I have a problem with the ticket I purchased through the kayak website. I have filed a complaint related to the fact that I was contacted by phone on the day I purchased the ticket and told that the amount that the ticket had been advertised for was not accurate and that I had to pay more. This is totally fraudulent. I will look into addressing this further tomorrow and will never ever use kayak again.
Definitely not a fan of Turkish Airlines, their seats are very uncomfortable. Felt very cramped up. Food was very poor in quality too, very little to drink during service.
The seat in the 787 was broken and did not keep us in the upright position. Also the entertainment system was broken for some channels and only had audio and no visual display.
Long haul flight need to have better snack/food options. Toilets were not refreshed regularly. No toilet paper or hand wipe tissues.
