Daily cleaning, installation of cabin HEPA filters on flights from Ithaca to the Netherlands
The Netherlands has restricted the entry of travelers arriving flights from outside of the EU, who are not nationals, residence permit holders, or long-stay visa holders of EEA Member States, Switzerland, or their families. Exemptions exist for some special cases, for example, travelers attending funerals or studying in an institution in the Netherlands. A complete list of exemptions can be found here.
From January 1, UK nationals are no longer classified as EU/EEA nationals and will not be allowed entry to the Netherlands. These restrictions do not apply to UK nationals who are legally resident in the Netherlands. Essential travel is still permitted. They will be allowed to re-enter the country, but will need to present residency permit, a certificate of application or a document with their address, and may be subject to questioning by Dutch border authorities when they arrive in the Netherlands.
The EU non-essential travel ban has also been lifted for residents of Australia, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, Rwanda, Singapore, Thailand and Uruguay.
The Dutch Government has a color-coded system of high-risk (orange) and lower risk (yellow) countries and regions. Travelers entering from high-risk (orange) regions or countries are required to self-isolate for 10 days upon arrival.
Tourists must comply with all the measures and rules that apply to combat the spread of coronavirus. Tourists must also reserve their holiday accommodation before they travel to the Netherlands. For the latest information, visit the FAQ on holiday travel to the Netherlands: here.
On July 16, the Dutch government announced an additional exemption for foreigners engaged in long-distance relationships with Dutch citizens/residents. For more information visit here.
Non-EU nationals who are not currently resident in or physically present in the EU are still subject to travel restrictions, and will not be allowed to enter the Netherlands for tourism.
From December 15, travelers who arrive from a country that is not on the EU ‘safe countries of origin’ list and who are exempt from the EU travel ban applicable to the Netherlands will need to produce the following documents:
An official negative COVID-19 PCR test result issued within 72 hours prior to arrival. Children under the age of 13 are exempt from presenting a COVID-19 test result.
A completed and signed Negative Test Declaration.
In addition, to the existing requirements for travelers, travelers from Ireland, the UK or South Africa must also show a negative result from a rapid test (antigen or LAMP test) or PCR test. The test must have been conducted no more than 4 hours prior to boarding the flight. Children under the age of 13 are exempt from presenting a COVID-19 test result. The test requirements do not replace the requirement to self-isolate for 10 days upon arrival.
Travelers must be in possession of printed versions of both the negative test result and the declaration. It is not acceptable to show a digital version on a phone or tablet.
Travelers are subject to a 10-day self-quarantine. Check the list of exemptions for more information.
There are currently 909,201 active cases of COVID-19 diagnosed in NL and 13,264 deaths as of Jan 20 2021

Pros: "This was a Delta codeshare on KLM metal. We left on time and arrived early. The crew was very professional. The bathrooms were very clean."
Cons: "The seat in Economy Comfort was awful. Not enough padding and no place to put my feet because of a very large entertainment control box on the floor."
Pros: "Food was excellent. I had the pasta. Loved watching movies."
Cons: "There was barely any room on my seat and in front. It was the worst flight experience I’ve ever had, and I’ve flown on a fair bit of airlines from 3rd world countries."
Pros: "Flight attendant Bret wen out of his way to help us locate a lost pillow."
Cons: "First flight attendant asking about the pillow she found in the aisle and kicked to the side."

Cons: "Even with Comfort+ things are tight."
Pros: "Crew was courteous."
Pros: "The crew did their job. Some attendants were very kind, helpful."
Cons: "Food could be better. Old aircraft, old style seats. Other airlines have improved this very, very much. Delta is lagging behind."
Pros: "room and services"
Cons: "can't think of anything"
Pros: "The crew was amazing and the food was good - the only bummer was that since we were in the second to the last row of the plane we had no choices left for supper."
Pros: "Let's start from the beginning. The flight was delayed for over an hour. Despite guaranteeing anyone with a connecting flight would all be taken care of, here I am still stuck in Amsterdam airport... delayed another 10 hours. The service after arrival was poor and slow..2 hours to get new flight"
Cons: "The travel agents assisting should have been ready for the number of passengers and triaged accordingly. They did not. Which meant a lot of us standing in line for hours missing new connecting flights."
Cons: "they let someone get off the plane and it delayed the flight an hour and a half which caused me to miss my connecting flight. I now have to sit for a 5 hour layover"
Pros: "Crew was extremely attentive and friendly. I wish Delta's flights were this good inside of the U.S.8"
Pros: "Good food, prompt service. Kind crew"
Pros: "Open seat next to me. Free movies."
Cons: "Really narrow aisles. Even hard for the crew to get by. I can’t believe they use A330s for international flights."
Pros: "Military boarded first"
Cons: "Disabled US Veterans should be allowed to board with active and retired military"
Pros: "I was moved to an end Seat, as I was in constant leg pain."
Cons: "I was zitting against my Neighbor as the Seats are so narrow."
Pros: "The selection of movies was great."
Cons: "The food. No herbal or decaf tea. No decaf coffee. The regular coffee and regular tea was awful; I like strong coffee and tea but on the plane it was terrible. The was not a vegan option for dinner. I thought the pilot announced complimentary beverages; soft drinks, coffee, tea & alcohol. Perhaps I was mistaken or maybe he was. I like the seats (reclining back with the seat bottom moving forward) except the seat bottom is entirely too hard and was bad for my back. The hot towels are a welcome touch. The ride was smooth, the pilots did a very good job."
Pros: "Economy Comfort, excellent in-flight entertainment (Movies)"
Cons: "Food was rather marginal (really no surprise, it's airplane food), tried unsuccessfully to hook-up to in-flight Wifi (couldn't get it to work throughout the flight)"
Pros: "Everything went great. Flight left a little late but was fine and only arrived a little late. I like the side wings on head rests really help."
Cons: "Seats are always hard on long flights."
Pros: "When I arrived at Detroit I noticed there was an earlier flight going out to Amsterdam. The nice Delta rep gave me a new boarding pass for the earlier flight because there were empty seats on that plane."
Pros: "The service was excellent."
Pros: "Some of the cabin attendants were friendly and helpful. Others not so much."
Cons: "Even in "world business class" the pods are very small and cramped and there is no room to put a carry on bag even something as small as a headphone box. Also the business class bathroom was very small, very disgustingly dirty when we boarded (someone tried to clean it a bit) and dirty and small throughout the flight. The bathroom does not have ventilation and the toilet basically does not have any liquid for flushing!"
Pros: "I paid 60 bucks for an emergency row exit, take get some extra leg room and space so that I would be fresh when I arrived in Munich. However KLM allowed a passenger — who did not pay for the emergency row to sit next to me because he needed the extra space because he was a liarge man, and clearly didn’t fit very well in the economy seats. Thus I I lost all the extra space and actually would of preferred a regular economy seat. that would’ve been more preferential then paying $60 and getting less space than I would’ve had it in a regular economy. I understand the other passengers comfort was important and if that was the case he should’ve paid $60 as well."
Cons: "I did not get a choice of seat for the one and a half hour flight from Amsterdam to Munich and I sat in a middle row for the first time in 20 years."
Pros: "Good food, excellent service"
Cons: "Seats did not have enough storage."
Pros: "Left on time and arrived early. Dinner quality was good Crew was very professional"
Cons: "Seats were uncomfortable."
Pros: "Attentiveness, service, and smiles!"
Pros: "They must deliver my missing bag on top most priority."
Cons: "All four checked baggages received up to Mumbai. I handed over to domestic jet airways all four bags as per the system at Mumbai. But at the end I received only three baggages at Ahmedabad. I informed jet airways about one missing bag. They have acknowledged it and the missing bag was to arrive at Ahmedabad in the next flight. I am still waiting for the missing bag."
Pros: "Pleased we upgraded to comfort plus."
Cons: "It was an older 747 which didn’t have power to the Sears. The video system was also old with poor quality."
Pros: "Smoorh travels"
Cons: "Economy seats mot comfortable for sleeping"
Cons: "Hard to get comfortable even in easy comfort but easy comfort is better than typica arats."
Pros: "The flight attendants were great."
Cons: "Felt like a sardine . Just like ALL fights these days."
Cons: "The food service was way to rushed , no time to relax with a cocktail before dinner was being served. The warm mixed nuts were stale tasting. The soup was excellent. The breakfast was not edible . Not your usual standard, Delta. Makes me sad as my late husband was a million miler plus and we have always been loyal to you, Seems like you have too many passengers in business class to provide food and service you can be proud of"
Pros: "The overall flight was good."
Cons: "cramped in economy class"
Cons: "Jet airways sucks"
Pros: "Crew was wonderful"
Cons: "Nothing- good flight, I couldn't sleep but that wasn't your fault"
Pros: "Entertainment offered, USB charging options."
Cons: "Too much food offered."
Pros: "Very attentative."
Pros: "The food, comfort and service of Delta One class have continued to excel. Since this was a scheduled late departure and they still offered the full menu, I chose to have only the appetizer portion. This turned out to be a fine soup, salmon salad and multiple extras. This was perfect for an 11:00 PM dinner."
Cons: "It enough leg room and I am not tall. I'm 5'5""
Pros: "Within Europe KLM short flights are very good. They give you a snack and something to drink without charge."
Cons: "Seats, are a little tight but like most other airlines."
