Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Pros: "It was fine"
Cons: "Very crowded plane."
Pros: "Crew was efficient and helpful. Captain kept us posted along the way. They also keep air flowing when we were delayed to take off so everyone is comfortable inside the crowded cabin."
Cons: "Crew should try to wake me up for meals. Luckily my fellow passengers did. Otherwise I would have missed all my meals."
Pros: "Emergency exit"
Cons: "Extra blankets as emergency exit is terribly cold Boarding"
Cons: "arrived 24 hours late. had to stay overnight in Newark. And United lost our luggage. The worst trip I have ever had."
Pros: "Good flight, decent crew. Food was okay."
Cons: "My entertainment set didn't work because the headphone jack was broken so that was a major bummer."
Cons: "cramped seats made for an uncomfortable flight."
Pros: "Crew was great. Let me sleep and was pleasant and professional."
Pros: "Fast boarding and helpful crew."
Cons: "Food was cold and soggy."
Pros: "The food was very good. The crew was very pleasant and accommodating. A bit late leaving but time was made up in flight. All in all a pleasant trip."
Cons: "Some of the entertainment screens were inoperative. The occupied light for the forward restroom (in business class) was not working so you never knew if it was free or not."
Pros: "boarding was fast, flight was on time, nice crew"
Cons: "pretty basic creature comforts, seats so so"
Cons: "All 100% Thanks!"
Cons: "the stewardess and steward bumped seated me continually when I complained she told me it was tight inexcusable"
Pros: "Liked the exit row."
Cons: "Hated the delay of more than 90 minutes."
Pros: "On time departure and arrival and a friendly crew helped keep this flight smooth despite some turbulence. The fact that there have been electrical outlets on this route for so long is a testimony to the Continental heritage."
Cons: "The seats in economy are just so tight that sleep on this short overnight flight was almost impossible. The lack of more recline (as in the recarro sears used on the LH/LX products) and short pitch make it hard to either work or sleep. The small plane size makes this sardine feeling worse and slows service to the rear of be craft."
Pros: "Female captain. Make lead sturard. Smooth flight"
Pros: "United Airlines Flight 202 Left on time. It was a Boeing 777 so it had a lot of room."
Cons: "The flight attendants seemed focused only on the small First Class section and rushed through everything in the Economy Class. They rushed through the "Food Service" and didn't want to answer questions about what is on their menu. The menu was removed from the magazines in our row. Fortunately, we brought our own snacks. The Economy CLass cabin had a terrible odor. It really smelled. Maybe they should clean the plane once in a while. United Airlines ALWAYS has issues with entertainment. You MUST download their App to your cell phone. Then, they allow you to connect to their entertainment system. If you don't, you cannot access WiFi without paying $26 for the flight ... the WiFi access is inconsistent and limiting and doesn't always work so the download doesn't always complete. This was a nine hour flight from Hell. I think I prefer Frontier Airlines. Although the airlines make you pay for everything now, at least you expect some attention and food options and a plane that doesn't smell. It was nauseating. Don't even ask me about the "Miles" that they keep screwing up ... RAY HANANIA"
Pros: "priority boarding; timeliness"
Pros: "Pretty smooth despite high winds and on time."
Pros: "We got to Lisbon"
Cons: "The entertainment system in 36E didn't work. The sound in 36D what a lot of noise (it made it unusable)."
Pros: "able to use a personal device for entertainment."
Cons: "Seats did not have power outlets and were very close together. I am not a tall person and still had issues with not enough leg room."
Pros: "grumpy flights attendant"
Cons: "cramped seats"
Cons: "I didn't like that there was in fact no plane to board at the time it was scheduled"
Pros: "Seating grouped in twos. Return trip. The stewardesses were friendly and delivered with humor."
Cons: "Nothing free. Plane seemed a little old"
Pros: "The check in with united was rather disappointing. The staff working with united were not clear with instructions and rather rude. Checking in can be a rather stressful process when there are long lines and tons of people.... this person was just short, unclear and rude."
Cons: "Please see above"
Pros: "The flight attendant was very nice. She tried to let one particular person off plane first so that he could run to catch his connecting flight"
Cons: "The gate people were horrible at explaining the delays and then trying to set up alternatives. Quick tip: offering "free water" when your flight is delayed 1.5hrs so several people will miss their flights is not enough."
Pros: "it was on time. complimentary snack and drink. plane seemed to be new or very well taken care of. crew was friendly and smiling. free wifi to personal devices."
Cons: "did some fish tailing on take off I'm assuming to windy conditions."
Pros: "On time."
Cons: "Chicago airport gate is so far away from other united flights I can't believe they don't provide a shuttle to it."
Cons: "4 hours late, bad food, stressed staff."
Pros: "Everyone was anxious to please"
Cons: "The temperature was warm and at times uncomfortable making us perspire"
Cons: "It was super cold. Miserable."
Cons: "No drinks on the flight, even in first class. They should tell customers before they purchase the update!"
Pros: "Everything worked out just fine"
Pros: "Long layovers and changed flights where not pleasant... I normally fly with Alaska Airlines and this never happens with them .."
Pros: "Fast service!"
Cons: "First time on United in a long time. Older planes, maintenance delay on one leg, food not very good, flight attendants adequate Overall experience just ok compared to Delta and other major carriers we've traveled."
Pros: "My flight was canceled. The service for trying to get it rescheduled was horrible."
Cons: "Had to make 6 phone calls with an average hold time of 15 min before I even some to anyone each time I called."
Cons: "Crew members were not helpful."
Cons: "Delay delay 6 hours after the severe weather as I was transferred to American Airlines"
Cons: "Flight left 13 hours behind schedule. No hotel room provided."
Pros: "Crew did the best they could, stayed friendly and helpful. Free DirecTV nice gesture."
Cons: "2 +hr delay boarding because of "oxygen tank service on 4 units", additional delay on Tarmac to "rebalance cargo load- luggage loaded incorrectly". Took off 5 hours late. Captain said galley was not fully loaded - row 32, no food for purchase left except 2 bags gummies bears, 1 kid box and 1 bag popcorn. And thanks for shrinking the seat space again...glad I'm only 5'6". Still ridiculous."
Cons: "Flight got cancelled after being delayed for over 2 hours for mechanical issues. Gate agent was not overwhelmingly helpful or understanding to people's frustrations during the delay and didn't go out of her way to try to help. Customer Service was helpful and able to rebook and provide overnight hotel accommodations, but it was a very slow process that clearly frustrated some customers even more. Clearly not anyone's fault, but still frustrating and not a great flying experience."
Cons: "Unreliable wifi."
Cons: "Cancelled and rebooked on a different airline with a long layover."
Pros: "I could get my boarding pass, I could flight home have to buy different ticket too fight home??? I wish your return my money"
Cons: "Tardiness and heat"
Cons: "Paying for entertainment when flying across the country is completely absurd considering the flight already cost an arm and a leg."
