Awful. There was an unexpected delay of nearly three hours because there were not enough flight attendants. I understand this is likely due to FAA regulations; but in that case, Delta should coordinate with smaller airports such as RDU to have extra flight attendants on the ground and "on call". In addition, this was the second 2-hour+ delay to Boston on this route in one week.
It was strange that the flight attendant was so adamant about having phones turned to airplane mode that he was calling out names from networks shown and waiting until they were all gone. I've never experienced that before, and after already working through an hour+ delay, it felt tone deaf. I take dozens of flights per year and have never experienced anything similar.

The flight was over 2 hours late.. once we finally got boarded things were fine
Poor communication, we sat on the plane for an hour before pushing back. They were oversold and with a full plane kept looking for someone to step off for someone else to board. So after an hour wait at the gate we missed our departure window and proceeded to spend an additional hour on the tarmac waiting for a refiled flight plan according to the pilots. Occasional updates, somewhat insensitive crew to passengers needing to use the lavatory (it was 2 hrs beyond what anyone expected). Overall just poor execution...especially when the flight was listed as "arriving early" up until about 30 minutes past our departure time.
No tv. No free wifi. They need to ipgrade these planes - especially on a 2 hour flight.

I purchased Qatar airways after seeing ads about its service. To my surprise Qatar is marketing gimmick and horrible airlines which I don’t recommend to anyone Flight was dirty including flight from Miami to Doha And Doha airport restrooms are dirty On top of this they use this pathetic cheap indigo From Doha to Hyderabad which I will never fly Also they lost one of my baggage in Indigo and still waiting to receive it. I will never travel Qatar and will never recommend
Aircraft was spacious compared to American Airlines, food was great, entertainment was much better with a wide variety of options, and the crew was very polite.
The overall flight experience between Doha and Kolkata was satisfactory. The staff onboard were notably engaged, responsive, and enthusiastic, providing a level of service that stood out, especially when compared to the less attentive crew on the earlier leg from Heathrow to Doha. Their eagerness to assist made the journey more pleasant. Additionally, the time spent at the Silver Lounge in Doha contributed positively to the experience. The lounge offered a comfortable and relaxing environment, with adequate amenities and attentive staff. Overall, both the flight and the lounge experience in Doha met expectations, making for a smooth and satisfactory travel experience.

Was humiliated at Doha airport, treaded like a cattle class traveler, I hold platinum pro status with AA and I don’t fly economy even domestic but was made to travel in the middle seat in economy class and boarding zone 3 and was denied lounge access at Doha airport. Never was humiliated like this before.
Although there were two delays, they were communicated clearly and the boarding process was expedited. The crew was pleasant and efficient.
The flight I booked was conveniently timed, had one brief stop and was going to be quick. The flight I ended up getting was delayed, took longer, had a far longer layover and arrived hours later than planned. Thanks for nothing.

This flight 1810 on 7/30 from EWR to DFW got 4 hours delay. this round trip experience is bad, my AA flight 618 from DFW to EWR on 7/28 was redirected to PIT and totally delayed about 9 hours due to mixed of weather and AA IT outage and then on the way back delayed for 4 hours. Lucky, i changed my flight to UA on the way back. i don't like AA anymore. i will consider other airline options in the future.
Bad experience going to DFW with an IT outage then bad on the way back with a nearly 5 hour delay that’s started as maintenance then caused us to wait further due to weather - which would not have happened if we had left on time.

At the outset, I would like to acknowledge that this was a full long-haul flight of approximately 14–15 hours, and while the journey fulfilled its primary transport objective, several aspects of the experience warrant both recognition and constructive feedback. 1. Cabin Crew Conduct and Service Consistency While the majority of the cabin crew maintained a polite and professional demeanor, one flight attendant’s conduct was notably inconsistent with expected service standards. The tone was often directive and lacked the warmth and guest-centric engagement typically associated with long-haul service. This created a perceptible imbalance in the cabin experience. Although other crew members acknowledged and apologized for the behavior, it highlighted a gap in service standardization and supervisory oversight. 2. Inflight Experience (IFE & Comfort) The inflight entertainment system was unreliable, with content failing to load consistently throughout the journey. Seating comfort in economy class was below expectations when compared with other international long-haul carriers. Cabin environment management at times felt unsettled, with noticeable noise and movement in the aisles. 3. Disruption Handling and Communication (DEL Diversion to JAI) The diversion to Jaipur due to weather was understandably beyond the airline’s control. However, the handling of post-diversion communication and guest management was an area of concern: Information during and after the diversion was fragmented and lacked clarity Limited guidance was provided upon disembarkation regarding next steps (transport, accommodation, onward travel) Ground coordination appeared inconsistent, with hotel partners and passengers receiving incomplete or delayed updates Communication the following morning remained unclear, including last-minute changes to transfer timings This resulted in avoidable uncertainty during a critical disruption phase. 4. Positive Acknowledgment – Ground Recovery Arrangements It is important to recognize that despite the initial communication gaps, the overall recovery framework was eventually well executed: Hotel accommodation was arranged efficiently Meal vouchers were provided appropriately Transfers between airport and hotel were organized in a structured manner Given the sudden and large-scale disruption, these arrangements were commendable and reflect the airline’s ability to operationally recover once systems were in place. 5. Recommendations for Improvement In the interest of strengthening the overall customer experience, I would respectfully propose the following: Service Delivery Reinforce consistent cabin crew service standards, particularly for long-haul sectors Enhance supervisory presence to address outlier behaviors in real time Inflight Product Improve reliability of inflight entertainment systems Reassess economy seating comfort for ultra-long-haul routes Disruption Management Establish a more visible “Care & Coordination Team” during irregular operations Ensure clear, centralized communication (single source of truth) for passengers and ground partners Provide structured briefing points to hotel and transport vendors to avoid information gaps Introduce proactive guest engagement (clear next steps, timelines, reassurance) Closing Reflection: While the journey was impacted by both controllable and uncontrollable factors, the overall experience would have been significantly enhanced through greater consistency in service delivery and more structured communication during disruption. So i was checked in for the seat number 40K. Unfortunately my seat was not able to recline which end up having very uncomfortable 15 hours flight.
American Airlines gets worse every time I fly them. This is the 3rd time they lost my bags in a year. I also think their employees do not care when I communicate that I’m unsatisfied with the airlines. I’m a credit card holder, fly first class, and an advantage member but I think that I’m finally going to make the switch to Delta.
