Cons: "Airplan so old and ac not work super hot."
Pros: "Comfortable flight, polite crew, good selection of movies"
Pros: "Let's face it - flying b-class is pretty awesome, so for $3300, it was really great. Loved the food selections, though I did feel the food was a little on the heavy side. I had the Japanese fare, which was lighter, but a little more salted than what I prefer - but over all very good. Service was amazing - the crew is super-nice. The plane, a massive 787 jet, absorbed the turbulence like it was nothing. It was like riding in one of those Cadillacs from the 1970's. The lavatories were big enough that I could actually stand up straight (and I'm 6'0"). The seats were pretty good as well - they had a feature for extension of the seating surface to allow for more thigh support (which I love) as well as great lumbar support. the movie selection was OK - neither great nor bad, and I ended up watching 4 movies during the flight anyway. ;)"
Cons: "I preface this section by saying that I'm being very nit-picky here - there's not much I can really say, except that the seats, while they will recline to a flat surface, which is great for dozing off, they are angled about 15 degrees so you're constantly sliding down them in that position. Also, there could be more support for your head in the reclined position - I had to futz with pillows and a blanket to get that comfortable. However, the reclined position was the most comfortable, and I could get it so that I was sufficiently reclined with my legs extended and horizontal, while laying back without sliding down. This was sufficient for resting. I'm only mentioning this because I flew a business class flight on Delta in 2015 which had ridiculously amazing seats that reclined all the way flat and horizontal. On the 9-11 hour flight from Tokyo back to San Diego, which will take place mainly at night, this would be a very useful feature."
Pros: "Service"
Cons: "Didn't get to go. Thanks for selling me worthless insurance."
Pros: "From start to finish, we were amazed by the customer service of Japan Airlines. Altogether we we had a 14-hour day or so of flying with two small children and it could have easily been a 20-hour-or-more day of flying had Japan Airlines not been so great at what they do. We can't say enough about how amazed and blessed we were by their customer service."
Cons: "Having to pay for wifi and not having access to power outlets. Everything else was amazing and honestly these minor things were very forgivable given the great entertainment choices that came along with the plan ride and and the amazing customer service."
Pros: "prompt check in , ample baggages allowances, food and overall steward services."
Cons: "none"
Pros: "Good staff service and friendly people. The food was good. The flight was on time."
Cons: "The Pilot communicated to the passengers only one time during this 4 1/2 hour flight. The flight attendants were making the announcements for arrival information and timing. Maybe in this culture the Pilot is above speaking to the passengers."
Pros: "Airline crew was super nice and helpful, attentive, and the plane was very clean."
Pros: "Service from cabin attendants was excellent, specially the crew announcing up coming turbulence, foods, landing. Price is good as well."
Cons: "No big deal, I don't care some of the food, smells fishy. Like I said no big deal, still using Japan Airlines."
Pros: "The seat have enough legs room,I'm 181cm usually feel uncomfortable when I take airplane to somewhere, however Japan Airline offer really good service and comfortable seat."
Pros: "Great staff and washlet toilets on board."
Cons: "I ended boarding last not one of the first as other airlines."
Pros: "Everything from check in till I got off the plane was fantastic. Friendly and helpful crew with impeccable service unlike a certain few airlines. Will definitely use JAL again!"
Cons: "Can't think of any"
Pros: "They provide us slipper for in flight comfort"
Cons: "Old aircraft"
Pros: "Boarding process; comfortable legroom on the Boeing 787; 1st meal was also excellent"
Cons: "2nd meal, some sort of a rice seafood mixture"
Pros: "Boarding is efficient. Crew helpful and willing to please."
Cons: "The food and overall service amenities are lacking in JAL. My flight was 8 hours and only one meal was served and one snack. The meals themselves are nothing special or enjoyable."
Pros: "We boarded quickly and orderly. The crew was very attentive and made sure we all had enough to eat and drink. The food was good, the tea and coffee was good."
Cons: "Not a darn thing...."
Pros: "great service"
Cons: "difficulty in figuring out how to use the controls on the entertainment remote"
Pros: "The service was exceptional, friendly and polite. Food was good and entertainment selection was awesome."
Pros: "As always on JAL 787-8 long haul flights, the crew was very courteous, entertainment was varied, food was alright and seats were better than some."
Cons: "The JAL first-generation 787s don't provide the great legroom that newer planes do, but is still infinitely better than older 767s and 747s."
Pros: "Service was excellent - Flight attendants were friendly and professional."
Cons: "N/A"
Pros: "everything is much better, everything! including how boarding and de-planing is more orderly than most other flights."
Pros: "JAL in general."
Cons: "NA"
Pros: "I like the food they served during the flight. It very well-thought meal and delicious at the same time. I also like the latest movies on board. We also arrived 20 minutes early! It was absolutely smooth and relaxing flight."
Cons: "none"
Pros: "Courtesy of crew members"
Cons: "No vegetarian food available"
Pros: "Good and polite crew"
Cons: "Business class cabin very mediocre for a state of the art latestBoeing plane"
Pros: "I liked that the seats were a 2-4-2 configuration. Most American carriers will have a 3-5-3 seating configuration. JAL has won some prestigious seat awards in 2015 for innovation and comfort."
Cons: "The JAL website specified most trans-atlantic flights with the newer and more spacious seating in Premium Economy. Departing from San Diego, this was only an option once a year I was told at the check in counter. I was counting on extra width and legroom as I am 270 lbs and 73" tall. I was disappointed that these up-gradable seats were not available. I also did not like that we sat on the Oksaka tarmac at a divert airport from Narita (Tokyo) and were not given an option to leave the plane and find alternate transportation of our choice to get us to our destination. I understand the high winds and bad weather was not allowing us to land on time, but we sat on the tarmac for 2 1/2 hours and then left to fly into Narita 5 hours late."
Pros: "There was a huge check-in line but it went quickly because they had 8-10 ticket agents with luggage 'helpers' for the agents. Of course there was a problem with my reservation that they had never seen before which manifested itself by them not being able to print my boarding pass. They called Tokyo and were told that they had never seen my problem before either. Anyway, the ticketing supervisor stayed with me for 45 minutes until they could over come the problem. I would be a rich man if I had a nickel for every 'So-sorry' I got that day."
Pros: "nothing at all...horrible aircraft, horrible flight"
Cons: "1) could not pre-book seat as it was a codeshare. You should change that...better on a budget carrier 2) The plane is not competitive, ancient entertainment system, no power in seats to plug in 3) Entertainment system did not work for all but 10 minutes or so of the flight. 4) food was really horrid, no japanese option!"
Pros: "Plenty of room for economy seats. Good food. Free movies and music. Friendly service."
Cons: "Air temperature was super hot and uncomfortable."
Pros: "Nothing... Being put on the wrong airline is incredibly degrading ..."
Cons: "I paid for JAL and was put on American airlines YOU WILL NEVER HAVE MY BUSINESS AGAIN ... Kayak or jp\american airline. I hope you hire a manager who doesn't lie to their customers... Don't think it's a lie ?? That's BC greed is blinding. Good day"

Cons: "Everything. Singapore Airlines had a great reputation. Imagine my disappointment. It was a horrible flight. The crew was nice enough, but inattentive. The food, if such a term may be applied here, was inedible. Just vile. In flight entertainment was a complete joke. Boarding was awful, but it always is. Seats were extremely uncomfortable. This racket is the ultimate way to rip somebody off of $1000. Horrible."
Pros: "The inflight entertainment was great, lots of movie selections"

Pros: "Great service. Really friendly and polite. Lots of current movies and TV shows to watch and provided earbuds with adaptors. Made the experience a lot more pleasant."
Cons: "The seats can be laid bag pretty far and the people in front of me decided to recline for a majority of the 10 hour flight. I wish the chairs either didn't do this or the flight attendants would have said something. I didn't feel like I had the authority to do anything about it. Also it was so warm! I have no idea if there was a fan."
Pros: "I paid for an economy class ticket but got first class service."
Cons: "Nothing"
Cons: "My Vegan meal was terrible."
Pros: "Clean aircraft. First rate and very attentive cabin staff. High Quality food and mid flight snacks. Its clear a lot of thought has gone into the making and running of this airline. My first experience and quite frankly I will fly SIA whenever possible."
Cons: "Cabin was to me a little warm during initial taxi at LAX. But not overly so."
Pros: "The service and fast flight"
Cons: "N/A"
Pros: "Ease of checking. Empty seat between us"
Cons: "Can't upgrade with krisflyer miles"
Pros: "The aircraft was clean, new, spacious and quiet. The bathrooms were regularly maintained. The food quality, selection and quantity was excellent for the economy class. Even the serving utensils were solid metal and had a very high quality feel to it. Having an endless supply of mid flight snacks was also appreciatd I always like the warm wet towels, which were offered at take off and landing. The entertainment choices were endless, but because it had USB and regular power, I was able to work on my laptop and listen to my podcasts on phone without worrying about running out of battery."
Cons: "The crew lacked its usual pep and cheer. For some reason they seemed very introverted and tired. First time on Singapore Airline that I noticed. The amenities kit was a bit on the cheap side. Also, only the supplied two prong headphones could be used with the entertainment system, I would have preferred an option to use my high end ones -- this was the main reason I chose to just work and listen to my own music/podcasts instead of watching a movie. We boarded and disembarked through the business sections and the aisles were too narrow. The announcements were hard to hear and the temperature was set too low for half of the flight (to kept fluctuating requiring constant adjustment of blanket/jacket). Having said that will keep flying them."
Pros: "Touch screen entertainment system with great variety of programs. Good food, clean cabin, friendly crews. I'd fly again on Singapore Air over other domestic airlines and Japanese airlines."
Cons: "Sound quality of ear buds was not good. No issues if you travel with your own."
Pros: "The service in coach was very impressive! The flight attendants could not be more attentive! I can only imagine how it would be in business or first class."
Pros: "Made Econ class feel like biz :)"

Pros: "Customer service and food couldn't be better."
Pros: "Huge selection of movies Towel service, socks, and toothbrush for economy class Snacks included entire chocolate bars! Friendly staff"
Pros: "Almost everything"
Cons: "The leg rests didn't have enough room to be useful. I'm only 5'10", which is average, not tall, so they should have had more legroom."
Pros: "Everything in this flight is very good. Next traveling time I will consider this airline first!!"
Pros: "Leg room in economy is good, even for tall people. Food was actually quite good."
Cons: "Two of our family's seats would not recline, although they were not near an exit row."
Cons: "old facilities"
Pros: "Singapore airlines was also great and I very much enjoyed that flight even though it was 10 or more hours. The good was great and same for the entertainment . The whole flight was very pleasant . Also I loved the steamed towels that was something i haven't had on a flight before ."
Pros: "The stewardesses were extremely professional- attentive & pleasant. The toilet was well equipped. There was no delay in taking off Boarding was orderly & efficient & quick and so was disembarking. The snacks were nice- ice cream, apples, chops, sandwiches. Many other airlines don't even provide snacks on these long flights. The seats in wconomy were roomy & confortable."
Cons: "I can't think of anything that was bad but I didn't enjoy the breakfast. I would have preferred an American breakfast. It was a mixture of shrimp, potato & brocolli. Ivwould have pregerred a criossant & yogurt to the tiramisu & roll."
Pros: "The flight attendants were super attentive and took great care of me, even bringing me headache medicine."
Cons: "I was in a front row seat which meant using my table in the armrest would wake up my neighbor. (Not a big deal but a little awkward) It was also hard to sleep because the seats didn't recline enough."
Pros: "It was the best service ive ever had. The flight attendants came right away and were always coming up the aisle making sure we eye well hydrated and fed"
Pros: "The flight staff were very friendly and always seemed to be eager to help all the passengers. The menu on the flight was also excellent. Wonderful flight"

Cons: "The food not fit for human consumption"
Cons: "See above."
Pros: "The crew was friendly and ensured I got what I needed even though I slept through most of the flight."

Cons: "Pay for headphones"
Cons: "I'm 6'1" . The seats are too small for long flights."
Pros: "On time, not crowded, seat with enough space, responsive screen and good sound"
Pros: "None"
Cons: "The food was so poor I never had such a tasteless food"
Pros: "For a little over $2000 you get an economy seat non-stop from DC to Tokyo and back. Meals were good. As economy seats go, it's comfortable. Midweek the flight is about half to two thirds full. So you might be able to stretch out even!"
Pros: "Staff was ind and friendly. Generous"
Cons: "Wish there was better food. It was okay."
Pros: "Mostly a good experience."
Cons: "The WiFi and TV touchscreen were broken and some of the crew were a bit short with me when I was trying to order snacks and drinks during the flight."
Pros: "Flight attendants were very pleasant and helpful. Food selections were very good. Lavatories were well maintained throughout the 14-hour flight, which is very much appreciated."
Cons: "Movie selections could be a little more current, but the options presented were fine."
Pros: "Comfortable"
Pros: "Enjoyed watching DIRECTV and sleeping"
Pros: "Overall it was a fairly comfortable experience."
Cons: "The United WiFi was not working on my device. I could not connect."
Pros: "4 hour 15 min."
Cons: "Bring your own entertainment"
Pros: "Almost nothing"
Cons: "This was a terrible flight. Entertainment system would not go off, no crew attention, we had 2 young kids and they could not sleep with the flashing TV in front of their eyes. Crew did not have the technical chops to even reset the system or try to. To add to the misery, we were seated in the last row where seats won't recline. If after flying 200k miles on United, I get this, I don't know what's worse! Very poor experience on United. Will just donate my miles."
Cons: "No food is lame"
Pros: "Nice new plane. Very clean. Decent room in economy plus. On board food is expensive but tastes ok. Free soft drinks served a couple of times during the flight (4.5 hours)"
Cons: "No in seat screen for movies. Only if you had your own personal device e.g. iPad. Also access was not working consistently across the plane. Was told that only a certain a certain number of seats could access the in flight entertainment system at one time and "to keep trying" and "hopefully someone will drop off soon". In the end they acknowledged the issue and told all passengers to go online for compensation which they honored immediately."
Pros: "The food was good, the flight was comfortable, the flight attendants were friendly."
Cons: "There was a boarding agent at SFO who was extremely rude. I went to the counter to ask a question, and he blatantly ignored me. Finally, I said "I have a quick question," to which replied bluntly "What is it?" I then asked whether there were TVs on the flight, and he just said "No" and turned his back to me. Extremely rude."
Pros: "Good fare"
Cons: "Flight attendant chided me for not reading menu beforehand. On one of the flights I had to shout out to thrm to even get a drink since they didnt stop at my seat. No space for a bag on the aisle seat on the 777."
Pros: "Spacious seating with no one next to me"
Cons: "No entertainment"
Pros: "Economy Plus saves a bit New plane"
Cons: "VERY narrow seats Stupid buttons in the arm rest, constant beeping from people pushing them by mistake"
Cons: "The United agent at the gate in Maui was terribly rude. She didn't even acknowledge that I was waiting in line to be helped for about 5 minutes. She went on the plane to check something for me and didn't return until 10 minutes later. When she came back to the counter, where I was still waiting, she started to talk to her coworker about chocolate and how great the crew was. She then turned to me and said, "can I help you?" She didn't even remember that she was in the middle of helping me! When I reminded her she was like "oh that's right" but didn't even apologize. The flight was delayed 2 hours which was pretty annoying too."
Pros: "great service from flight attendant Angela and Asian crew."
Pros: "Lights were dimmed in the cabin"
Cons: "So many things. My complaints wouldn't change this company's plans. It's clear what United values"
Pros: "The seats we're ok"
Cons: "Delayed, bad service, bad boarding technique, bad cabin crew, and when we landed we spent another 30min taxiing and sitting. My connector flight was delayed two hours and by time I got to San Diego my rental car company was already closed."
Pros: "Courtesy and respectful nature of TSA and Agricultural checkpoints"
Cons: "Crying infants but thank goodness for streaming entertainment and headphones"
Pros: "the japanese speaking flight attendant was exellent! she was very observant to passengers needs. i was also pleasantly surprised by the entertainment system."
Cons: "there was a flight delay due to maintenance, which was inconvenient."
Pros: "Economy Plus seating was quite comfortable. Movie and TV selection options provided wide variety which gave me an opportunity to view several titles on my wish list."
Cons: "The menu card did not provided selections for this flight and the crew description was very broad - pasta or noodles. For example, "ravioli with marinara sauce or chow mein with vegetables" would have been more helpful."
Pros: "Computerised and self check-in was good and fast."
Cons: "Require united app on smartphone or tablet. Don't expect personal screen as its not available. Unfriendly crew and food was bad."
Pros: "Was pleasantly surprised by leg room in coach"
Cons: "More water needs to be offered more often"
Cons: "I had an upgraded complementary first class ticket, that was not honored by the staff at the airplane gate."
Pros: "Plane was only one-third full, it yook off on time and we got in ahead of schedule. What's not to like?"
Cons: "I was Pre TSA approved one way, but not the other. Why?"
Cons: "We were frustrated because we chose United flights but then got put on Island air from Maui to Honolulu who has completely different baggage guidelines and ended up costing us quite a bit more because our carry-ones weren't 16 lbs or below. I don't like things like that, so I wasn't very happy with that part of the trip. I don't think that is United's fault-probably Kayak's. Flying in general just isn't pleasant anymore. The crews aren't happy or fun and they've gotten so cheap on everything, and charge you out the nose for everything. The airplanes weren't clean. My 2 year old had to brush off a seat of crumbs on her seat before she sat down! Just sad where it's gotten in this crazy world. We used to love to fly, and now we are just always glad to be done with the flights!"
Pros: "All the service"
Cons: "Cramped and overcrowded"
Pros: "Regardless of product, the 787 is by far the most comfortable aircraft in the sky. Obviously you can't compare UA Economy to EY's "Residence" on the 380, but once you're comparing similar products across different aircraft, the 787 blows all the others out of the water. This is because of the higher cabin pressure, higher cabin humidity, and relatively enormous windows at eye level. Even UA can't ruin the 787 experience with their snippy staff (I almost found myself apologizing for asking for the little bag of snack mix that I missed out on because I was snoozing when they first came around) and ear-splitting announcements. The flight was delayed due to a mechanical, and the staff at NRT was very helpful in getting us to where we needed to be."
Cons: "The plane had a mechanical issue that they had to sort out after we pushed back. This was not so bad, but they changed their minds about whether we would take the original plane or switch to a second 787 that had flown in on NRT-DEN so many times I lost count. This is why I gave the "boarding" process poor marks--please just figure out whether we need to get off (we didn't need to, but did anyway) and whether we are going to switch to another aircraft before letting everyone off. The staff at NRT failed to consider moving the DEN-HKG passengers to a ET NRT-HKG flight (which surely had available seats) that was parked next door. Instead, we were all put on a HND-HKG flight leaving about five hours later than the ET flight."
Pros: "Everyone was nice"
Cons: "Very poor food to compare with Delta and United fed us only twice but it was 14h flight"
Pros: "The stewardesses were efficient"
