I did have to use the lavatory at one point and I was happy that it was clean."

The sight u use on the boarding pass u download on the phone is not clear. It says baggage fee +$25.00. I thought it was 25.00 till the women in Phoenix showed me the + sign. She said “it is confusing”. I did not buy the ticket because it was for an unexpected funeral of my sister. My other sister did so I didn’t see all the stuff from Travelocity. After telling me it would be $50.00 the check in male and female at the gate saw me sitting there for an hour and never told me I couldn’t pay cash. By the time it was boarding time if a nice woman did not offer to use her credit card and I have her the $50 cash I would have missed my flight. The manager at the gate in Portland even told me I would miss my flight. The two check in staff at the gate said “well we didn’t know you only had cash” and they weren’t even concerned that I was going to miss my flight. It would of been nice of them to tell me this when I sat there for an hour after they told me They we’re doubling the price. I would of had time to go back through security, only pay $25.00 and the other nice passenger would have not had to use her credit card. Very rude and poor service especially after a sad occasion of burying your sister!"

The worst part about this flight was that I traveled with my girlfriend and when I went to check in, 24 hours before, there were only single seats left and there were so many open seats together that were considered “preferred” and had to pay $80 for just one “preferred” seat just so we can sit together on an 8 hour long flight. The seat didn’t even have any extra legroom or anything, it was a normal seat. American Airlines is just trying to squeeze money out of anything they can."

Al three of them just did something. Rude and chewing gum crew, the dropped a salad bowl but not one of them was thinking about cleaning it up. The entire flight everybody walked over it in to the carpet. Friendlynes and service are two words that does not apply to this crew. From the first flight till the last flight AA made a mess out of it. Canceled our flight in JFK, no help or service, you are on your own when AA cancels a flight, after rebooking our flight we had a 7 hour stopover at Dallas, again no service, no voucher, no nothing. Then today with our return flight AA could not find our ticket numbers, turns out that when they rebooked our inbound flight they forgot to take over the return flight...cost us 2 hours and 10 minutes to check in at LGA Never, ever again with AA, even easyJet provides better service then AA does on intercontinental flight!"

Pros: "Solo que a la 1:10pm le comunique al sobrecargo del vuelo Avianca #928 Lima _ salvador 1010 1: 20 pm hora local me di cuenta que se quedo el anillo de matrimonio en el paso de migración en la bandeja, el sobrecargo me di una instrucción que debía hablar con el encargado del Salvador la Srta Geaninia Gomez indica que como no es pérdida dentro del avión no se hacen responsables, lo que no estoy de acuerdo que me digan eso ya que es trayecto del vuelo que estaba realizando voy a tomar medidas para presentar un reclamo ya que es un valor sentimental ya que ni me dejaron ir a ver estando casi 40 minutos y sentí que no me ayudaron por los menos con una llamada en el departamento."

Plus we were delayed 4 hours in this crappy airport only to get on a really crappy plane. We were supposed to arrive in Tampa before 10 but wound up getting in like a red eye at 1230 am. Lost out on our ride home and we were so exhausted. I cried most of this flight home 2 1/2 hour flight. Nice staff but crappy plane. I am waiting to get a call to get reimbursed for my loss of time at work and the missed ride home."

Cons: "I didn't like that because I was 4th group to get in the plane, all the space above my seat was full and I had to go put my carry-on quite further down. It didn't cause me any problem because my connection flight had a long layover, but if had not been, I could have been late."

The gate attendants announced that they were going to hand out cards with contact information to get re-scheduled on another airline. Spirit did not have another flight available to Baltimore until Tuesday (this happened on a Sunday). The agents on the phone number we were told to call, could not book us on another airline and told us to talk to the the gate attendant. The gate attendants told us to talk to the agents on the phone and around in circles we went. Finally the gate attendants started booking us on other airlines. That took an hour. We had to stay an extra night and we got out the next day on American. Spirit did comp the hotel room and the flight but I forgot to ask for compensation for the bag check on American. A word to the wise. The next day we received 2 $50 vouchers from Spirit for a future flight. Not sure I'll be using them."

They rescheduled us to another flight but it disrupted our plans and caused a lot of inconvenience. Also, they charge for literally everything, I've never seen $42 fee for checked baggage, or even $55 or $100 if one doesn't make it to buy it online. Weight of 40 lbs. is woefully insufficient as travelers from Europe will have to remove over 10 pounds from their baggage as normal airlines allow 23 kg."

Crew announcements were way more than just the standard information AND everything they said was clear to understand. They weren't swallowing the microphone. Flight was on time and no delays leaving or arriving."

Minor detail - the pilot didn't show up for our flight causing significant delay. Next time if no other airline is available we will take a bus."
