When we got to the airport it cost us $130 each to check our bag which we were told it would have been around $50 if we had done it online ahead of time (if we knew). $130 per bag is excessive for checked luggage and we were extremely frustrated and disappointed. I like to fly Virgin when I can due to comfort but that experience left much to be desired."

I enjoyed the flight and would like to fly Virgin Atlantic more. Finally, you are the 3rd best flight, I have ever take, and the 2nd best airline I've been on. Flew Business Class on Swiss Air once to Geneva (#1) and all the flights I have had with Porter Air are comparable to your airline, but the free cookies and beverages at Porter's terminal in Toronto wonderful."
Cons: "A couple things went wrong on this trip, my checked luggage got misplaced for a day, and a nice women in baggage claim told me what was happening and a nice man handled my claim and my bag has now been returned to me. The bigger thing is my flight bas delayed taking off by 3 hours. Let me start that I would rather have a part replaced on the runway then not, safety is paramount. The fact is my flight took off 3 hours late from London (VS11), and got to my destination (BOS) 2.5 hours late. Kudos to the flight crew for getting me to my destination faster by gaining a little time. Plus, since BOSTON was my final destination it was all fine this time. But if I had had to get home to the elder person I take care of or my teenager it would been a problem. Again, I'm annoyed, but I do understand the reasons and they are valid and preferred. I have heard that airlines to keep their flight rating high, wait for planes to leave the gate on time and then do repairs on the tarmac. If this is still a SOP for airlines you should change the way the statistics are collected and figure out a way of not perpetuating this type of disincentive. This is just hypothesis on my part, and my whole trip had little negatives."

Cons: "Took first available train , arr. Freising at 9:50. Arrived at Terminal 2 by bus ca. 10:25. I am handicapped and a slow walker, so I got to departure floor ca. `10:40. Waited in line at self-serve check-in; found out that it does not have ability to process numbers (for US address). Attendant was not helpful and nasty. She told me me to go to the regular check-in line, where I waited another 45 minutes. None of the 3 "help" personnel standing around when approached managed to tell me that there was a special counter for handicapped persons. The one at the express self-check-in refused to give me her lasst name or any form of ID (first name Sophia). After waiting an additional 15 minutes for a wheelchair, I was deposited in a waiting area, where a second wheelchair arrived after another long wait. Told me I might not make the plan (I did). Overall a very unpleasant and nasty experience. With the exception of the very nice lady (Mrs. Ilser?? ) who checked in my luggage, none of the other 3 persons at the express and regular check-in spoke decent German or English, and none was helpful (Go there, wait!!!) Barely made the plane in MUC, Heathrow turned out much better than the touted German efficiency. Please forward to Lufthansa customer relations. Dr. W. Hartwig"

Cons: "The seats are tough after a few hours of siting. Children screamed throughout the flight. To the crews credit, they recognized the issue, and suggested a move to empty seats. However,there was a screaming and coughing child behind these seats also. Perhaps grouping families to a section would help?"

Baggage loading and no accountability for huge delays for lost luggage containers? Who is the logistics team? This is not the first time westjet has provided poor service on their international flights. Training if ground staff onsystems is poor. He guest services at tronto openly claimed they did lot know how to operate certain screens for transactions."

Cons: "On an 8 hour flight there’s no complimentary meal. I paid for a meal and it was worse than free plane food and starved for the rest of the trip. The chairs were horribly uncomfortable with no lower back support and we were not even given pillows and blankets. There was also no free entertainment. I rented a tablet and had it taken away an hour before landing while I was in the middle of a movie. I might have been ok with that if the flight attendant had politely asked for it back rather than rudely waving and pointing while I stared at her blankly trying to figure out what she wanted. Next time I’ll pay a bit more for an airline that respects its passengers and our comfort."

Pros: "I was traveling with my 11 month old daughter and everyone went out of their way to assist us and I didn't feel like a burden to them. When she was sleeping on my lap during the flight they even brought me my meal in portions so I didn't have a huge tray to balance over my baby."

Also was very disappointed that I had to pay for food even though it was way over 8 hours, in the end didn't even bother about food was not much of a choice. Also no TV on this long haul flight was really disappointed again, so I had to pay for a tablet was hugely disappointed. Needed more leg room was cramped on this flight."

Instead of being honest and upfront about having to leave an HOUR later--and also lying by saying that we'd be flying into Gatwick in only 8.5 hours as opposed to 9.5--they made us wait in our seats while the craft supposedly waited for food to be loaded. The best line was, "Our plane will be landed an hour earlier! But because London doesn't like it when we land early, we're going to wait here for a while on the tarmac so we make it there on time.""

Cons: "You have to download an app to watch movies/tv. There is no food served (transatlantic flight!) unless purchased 48 hours beforehand."

Cons: "We were invited to send our carry iron bags to the hold at the gate. We delivered them to the plane door on the jetway. My wife's bag didn't make it from Edmonton to London Gatwick. That's the last time I send anything to the hold ."

Overall not a good experience, would much rather fly with another airline for my next international flight. I fly internationally very frequently and this was the worst experience I've had so far."

Cons: "I had called the airline ahead of time for a bassinet seat. On 31st Dec not so many people fly with babies. There were only 2 babies including mine, but they still had just one bassinet seat and one high chair. The high chair was a ridiculous option. Very uncomfortable for an infant. In spite of calling and requesting ahead of time, no bassinet seat. I have traveled in other airlines and they have been far more accommodating. Seats were very uncomfortable and service was very poor. Coffee/tea served was not hot. So overall very bad experience and I am possibly never taking BA again."

Pros: "The directness of the flight, and being able to watch the monitors to track the trip! The flight was on-time and we got swiftly on and off the aircraft."
Cons: "There was a family behind me working out their issues loudly speaking to each other across the aisle and over my seat. I wish the flight attendants has regulated them a bit more, but I understand that they're busy attending to passengers as a whole!"

Cons: "After everyone was boarded in the plane, the pilot announced that a fuel pump was broken and that they would try to fix it. 2 and half hours later, the pilot announced they couldn't fix it and that a new one would have to come from London to San Francisco to replace it (as if the only place to get decent plane parts was London)!!!! The plane was rescheduled to fly the next day at 18.00. It didn't actually leave until after midnight, causing us to miss our connecting flights not just once, but again the next day. Communication by British Airways about what was going on and when we could expect to fly was awful throughout, and their customer service was worse than abysmal. I will avoid flying BA in the future."

Cons: "Flight was delayed by over an hour due to a late arriving flight. Missed our original connecting flight"

Pros: "Flight crew was outatanding, service was a huge step above domestic flights! Seattle gate supervisor insisted I check my carry on bag, after I had carefully measured it and my backpack to make sure I could carry both on. She assured me one of my bags would get taken in London before our connecting flight., and then I might never see it again. She wouldn't hear of measuring the backpack. Which was apparently the problem. When I got to London, my backpack was in fact tagged as being acceptable size! Fortunately, the rest of British Airways staff have their act together and one person didn't ruin an otherwise great experience."

Cons: "Staff spoke amongst each other in a different language. Saw staff picking teeth, picking nose,joking and laughing while we were cattle in their way. I must endure a return flight but it will be my last A380 flight."

Pros: "Airbus 380 is just a larger sardine can. BA fills it as much as possible, little room. Food was so and so, arrived half frozen.... BA has gone down from what it used to be."

Cons: "We had three seats in and a row. One of the seats was missing a cushion which made it very uncomfortable for the entire flight."

We were given meal vouchers 15 minutes before the plane was ready for boarding and by then, all the restaurants had already closed at Chicago airport. So we were forced to either not eat anything, or use the vouchers at 1 restaurant that was on the brink of shutting, that could not provide any food, but provided some drinks and packets of chips only."

Pros: "Legroom good, entertainment system had a vast choice of films, TV and music, food tasty. Seats very comfortable. Very pleasantly surprised."

Cons: "Where to start... Entertainment- My TV was broken until half way through the flight and even the then the controller never worked limiting my options. Then there were only about 6 movies to choose from and when you chose one you would either have to wait 11-29 minutes for the next showing or join an already in progress showing. Cleanliess - there were used tissue in my seat back pocket that I found when I went to grab a magazine. I had a window seat and when I lifted it there were greasy head or hand (or both) prints visibly all over the window. I got sick the day after arriving and I don't doubt these things contributed. Comfort - seat was fine except underneath where my feet should go there was some kind of metal box affixed to the floor. Luckily my neighbor let me share their space. The overhead reading light wouldn't shut off so we had to tape a box lid over it to be able to let ourselves and those around us sleep. Food- Im gluten free and requested a special meal. It was cold, tasted horrible, and the same lemon cookie (the only edible thing) they gave me for dessert they also gave me for breakfast. The in crew attendants were nice and tried to help as much as possible. I may have gotten a good deal on the flight and been in economy but it is still a lot of money to me.fTo book with one airline and get another is disappointing, even more disapointing was the experience. I'm very glad to have gotten to london safely but am hoping for a much better journey home and will think twice before booking international on kayak/British Airways again. Definitely will never fly American overseas EVER again. I'm sorry to write something like this but it genuinely was awful and I've been sick most my trip."

Cons: "The flight left late, so we missed our connecting flight from Heathrow to Dublin. The AA gate agent at Charlotte Airport told me that she had put on a later flight from Heathrow to Dublin, but when we went to check into that later flight, there was no record. The AA gate agent had told us a story that she didn't follow through with. So, we had t wait 4 hours in Heathrow before getting on an even later connecting flight. AA has REALLY poor customer service!"

Pros: "The BA crews always keep a tidier aircraft en route than other airlines."
Cons: "If BA absolutely had to reassign my reserved seat, I wish they had at least respected my aisle preference. With severe arthritis I must be able to get up and move around in flight."

Pros: "Online check-in is very convenient. There was a wide-variety of on-board entertainment to choose from. We were offered more meals than I expected (dinner and breakfast), which was a nice surprise, but the quality of the food was exactly how I expect airline food to be. The crew was courteous and pleasant though rather busy. I can't say I travel by air a whole lot, but BA has been one of the few airlines I can recommend with little hesitation."
Cons: "The food was edible but only memorable for how slightly-less-than-average it was. Most microwavable meals I've had taste better than the dinner that was served. Breakfast was only slightly better in that it was mostly pre-packaged food items (e.g., granola bar, raisins) that I could stash to eat later, which I did."

Cons: "Booked a flight with Kayak - fare was then issued through Airfare.com. Tried to change the ticket after my father passed away, but was told I needed to issue a request through an awful website that wanted me to provide credit card details - despite being unsecure and unencrypted. Just awful."

Pros: "The seats were really nice, even in economy class. There was enough leg space and it was really soft so even on my 10, 5h flight my but and back didn't hurt. The entertainment was also really good: the newest movies, songs, books and games."
Cons: "I didn't like the food. For dinner I could choose from chicken with rice and cheese ravioli. While I normally really like ravioli I didn't like this one. I didn't taste any cheese at all. The bread and crackers served with it I liked, but not the fruit pudding. Next time I will have the chicken again ;) For breakfast I could choose from a breakfast omelet or an English breakfast. I don't like eggs and I don't like sausages for breakfast so I chose the English breakfast anyway and only ate the cupcake and yoghurt, which were okay."

Cons: "- The crew refused to hang the jacket even though the flight was not even half full. - The wine served was the cheapest you can find and did not even have an option to buy a good bottle - Bread was hard as a rock and definitely can break a window if thrown at a window"

Cons: "Fog over London delayed our flight from Rome. Instead of dealing with this proactively, BA made us sit in the plane on the tarmac for three hours. When we finally arrived in Rome, instead of automatically rebooking us, they directed everyone to a queue. That queue, managed on a first in, first out basis, took FOUR HOURS, during which we missed more flights that would have gotten us home. If, instead, the queue had been managed by departing flights, more people would have gotten to their destinations in a timely fashion. We eventually we booked on a flight to NY and got a rental car. We were offered no compensation for this ordeal."

Cons: "The food from the "peak bakery" was awful"

Pros: "The flight crew from Seattle and the entertainment options were great."
Cons: "Due to weather conditions our second flight to Seville was cancelled. This flight was booked through British Airways but not at the same time so unfortunately the Seattle crew did not alert us of the cancellation although our passenger info was all the same, the BA system should have a way to do this. We then waited in line for 3 hours at Gatwick to get rerouted and get hotel accommodations and received terrible and insufficient care. The staff seem most concerned with taking breaks than then caring for the enormous line of tired travelers. We lost an entire day of vacation due to the BA system not recognizing our flights as one itinerary and the very slow service at the airport; there were options for that day but by the time we spoke with anyone it was too late."
