Cons: "I fell sick and my doctor advised against flying. Tried calling Swiss Air and JustFly.com: 6 calls back and forth and 7 hours on hold, no help. Finally got advised on driving to the airport to make the flight change at the Swiss Air counter at O’Hare. The representative told me to bring a note from doctor to switch flights. I did the next day. The same representative looked me in the eye after advising the day before and said there’s nothing she could do. Why make an elderly sick person drive to the airport again if you know already you cannot help??Absolutely terrible experience, no help from the airline or travel agency. Total loss of the full price of the ticket."

That was only the reason i chose this airline. When i ask about my lifemiles the answer was that my class of ticket didnt get any lifemile. I felt cheated. You should put it somewhere visibly so the person knows before booking. If i knew it before i never chose this airline."

Flights have been completely changed with another airlines just a few hours before departure. New trip had a short connection time between flights and separate check-ins were required. The first flight was a bit delayed, so we had to pick up our luggage after the first flight, run to another terminal check in and drop off baggage again. We almost missed the second flight. That was painful!!!

Frankfurt airport and organization sucks.

Usually United/Lufthansa is a wonderful airline for my family and I to use. But this trip the crew were horrible and indifferent. Had a couple sitting beside me that where drunk even before they boarded. The crew continued to serve them alcohol knowing this. The lady ended up spilling a whole beer all over me staining my shirt, slacks and socks, soaking me, the seat and the floor. The flight crew couldn’t have cared less. They didn’t even bother to come look or clean up the area. I had to go myself and ask for something to clean up te mess with. Upon asking I was treated like I was bothering them and told to just go to the bathroom and grab a handful of napkins. Absolutely unacceptable. They would even let me change seats to have a dry seat. I had even payed for an upgrade to for legroom on this long flight and we all know that is NOT CHEAP. The final straw was the fact that the crew spen most of their time in the galley in the back. EVERYONE was told if we wanted anything we had to get up and come to the back. They were not even answering the call lights. Horrible, horrible service and attitude from Lufthansa crew members. Thankfully, the dry cleaners will be able to clean my suit….. at MY COST.

Cons: "Muslim meal does not mean all Muslims eat curry. It’s rediculous that we cant have a decent English breakfast instead you get curry or some form of curry for breakfast, lunch and supper. Your so called Muslim meals are not suitable for kids!! There is no such thing as a Muslim meal either. It’s simply called Halal otherwise then everyone else’s meals should be called Christian or Jewish meals etc. Also I requested help with transfer to my last flight which was horrendous because I’m one adult with 4 kids ages 1 to 11 and my eldest has sever learning disability. I nearly missed my flight because our flight landed late and I was struggling to keep my kids safe and together while running for the next flight. Somone should have been there to help with transfer."

There were people entering from both the front and the back, meaning people were stuck trying to get past each other in the tight aisle. It was difficult to find space in the overhead compartments for carryon luggage due to people bringing too much stuff - the crew should have stepped in and helped. The food was a bad chicken sandwich with condiments that I could not eat."

We have had only 40 minutes transfer time between flights from Budapest and to Washington DC, and started to worry that we may not make it since the boarding was in the opposite part of the waste airport. So, it was a great relief when we saw the airport representative meeting us at the exit from Budapest plane to lead toward the Washington DC flight gate. In 30 minutes we were in our plane to continue flight to the US. Thank you so much!"

Cons: "Our flight was delayed and there was a really long line of passengers trying to switch connecting flights. There were two women working at the counter. One of their shifts was over. She called her manager and said she was willing to work later to handle the crowd, but the manager does not want to pay overtime so she was told to leave. So one woman was left to handle the massive line all by herself. I stood in line over two hours. I believe if someone is willing to help out that would have been the best solution."

Their attempts to help took too much time, they did not look tat the trip from origination to provide best alternatives until I arrived to airport in Las Vegas to find out that again they had to change the booking and issue a new ticket. This took more than two hours. Had I not was preemptive I would have been stuck in Frankfort for an extra day."

Pros: "The pasta lunch was very good! The cold sausages later.....hmmm not so much! Our seats were very comfortable and there was plenty of room in the overhead bins which was really nice! They did a great job of keeping us abreast of why our flight was running late, that was much appreciated! The steward on my side was just "OK", but the gal on the otherside was FABULOUS! She smiled and made eye contact with each person as she passed them a drink."
Cons: "I felt there could have been more options for entertainment. I realize you could purchase a premium package, but for a 9 hour flight I think they could provide free a few more options for shows or movies. even the music options were very limited."

Cons: "pretty much everything about this experience. To start, the agents and online chat customer service were extremely rude and unhelpful, even after calling several times and waiting up to an hour on hold. At one point i expressed my frustration and answer i got was "I'm sorry you feel that way". No sympathy what so ever. On the flight -the seats were horrible and food was disgusting."

Cons: "Plane departs and arrives late. Crew extremely disorganized. Did not give clear direction to passengers. My "upgraded legroom" seats turned out to be a walkway to and from the restrooms which were right in front of me. I was constantly bothered with other flyers waking me and disturbing me as they used this walkway."
Cons: "No assigned seats for a family of four with kids? No movies unless you had cash (their Visa machine wasn’t working)"
Pros: "The price was reasonable and the schedule was great - leaving late evening and arriving in the morning was perfect. Non-stop from BWI was also a big plus. Checkin online was easy and there were no hitches with luggage. We had an on time takeoff and arrival and our luggage arrived with us."
Cons: "The food was bland and there weren't any options, getting refills on beverages was impossible. The seats were cramped and absolutely EVERYTHING that might improve comfort was extra. Fortunately, I always travel with a variety of earphones, to we didn't have to pay for theirs. Paying for the pitiful selection of entertainment options would have added insult to injury."

Cons: "I showed up to the airport 2+ hours early, I tried to check in online, was given a error the said my reservation didn’t exist. When I arrived at the airport I went to the check in counter, when I told them I was checking for a flight to Seattle, i was told that I couldn’t check in because there was a issue with my flight. I was directed to a corner of the terminal. This corner had no chairs or seats for us, we sat there for 2+ hours all the way up to the time our flight was intended to depart. All the while we tried to get information or what was the issue, but we were just stonewalled. Finally past our boarding time were were told the flight was being canceled, and to standby for more information. Another half an hour went by before they told us they were getting us a hotel, and buses to the hotel. So then we waited another 15 minutes or so when they asked us if we had checked in because we needed a ticked to get a room at the hotel. Again we waited in line for 20+ minutes to check in. I had 2 bags to check, one I need at the hotel, the other I did not. They let me check the one bag I could, told me to check the other at the business class check in in the morning to avoid the line, sounds good, or so I thought. So condor gathers us all up, an entire 767 worth of people, and begins hearding us to the buses, they don’t tell us where we’re going, just to follow the one employee, to the 5 or so buses. A large group of us got split off at a set stairs, helping older folks and family with strollers get down the stairs. Now I spent 30 minutes wandering around Frankfurt am main looking for buses. Well they don’t park them out front, they park them out in the middle of nowhere. Finally get to get hotel, it’s a nice hotel. The next morning the lady at the business class desk was extremely rude."

Cons: "The bathrooms were full so we had to stop in Manchester to empty them and refuel, added 1.5hrs onto the already 11hr flight...ugh. Bad food and only 2 movies unless you pay extra."
Cons: "Very good experience"
Pros: "This is a new service out of New Orleans which I found very convenient and efficient. Smooth flight and good, attentive crew."
Cons: "Communication regarding reservations and follow-up check-in was not very easy. Also at the airport when I stopped and asked a Condor employee for directions to locate my connecting flight, her initial response was curt --that she could not help me as she was in the process of boarding passengers -- although there was no one but her there. She then directed me elsewhere."
Pros: "The crew were very attentive and between them and the great food the flight was bearable."
Cons: "Walked from the lounge to the gate when instructed only to spend an hour or more waiting for what seemed ever passenger being called to the desk for something. Boarded to find my selected seats had been given to a large family and that the seats themselves were absolutely terrible in design. they were narrow and had a console that interfered with comfort. the leg-rest could not be extended enough for even an average height person to use the fold down metal foot rest, which therefore was what my calves sat on. This all amounted to ten hours of pain. Condor is not likely to get our business again."
Pros: "Lufthansa experience was very good, all around. No problems, friendly staff, in flight smack. On a short flight...very pleasant experienxe. Staff were really great. Condor was a different experience. Boarding was unpleasant because specific rows were called to board after everyone had already lined up. It was very unclear where people from. Thyo stand, as no staff were guiding this process. Another passenger became very rude when he felt i stepped in front of him in the mess of a line. Have staff guide this process, or having clearly marked places to stand, would be helpful. It would be nice to have a little more leg room, food that wasn't extremely cold (like it was nearly frozen), & larger movie selection included."

So between the guest that thought I was not supposed to put my seat back because that made his 12yr old behind uncomfortable to the flight attendant that thought I should keep my knees smashed into the seat in front of me it was very uncomfortable for 11 hours!!! So the boy behind me played kick my seat for 3 hours while his mother who sat across from me found it funny!! Considering I am a black woman and the only black person on this flight I did not want to end up dead or brutally injured if I spoke up to the flight attendant again about this young boys behavior!!! I have flown Condor several times and usually enjoy flying with condor/ Thomas Cook!! But this was one of the worse flights yet!!"
Pros: "Nothing. Company 21+ hour delay with no info provided."
Cons: "Flightfrom Seattle to Munich was "delayed" by 21+ hours. Company refused to provide info on connections until we arrived in Munich, and then only after an unguided search for the Lufthansa (not condor) info desk elsewhere in the airport. The flight crew had a connections list, but refused to announce the info. The company agents on the US side were contractors who stood behind an empty counter. They didn't/couldn't turn on the airport computers to help, suggesting we guess or connections using the internet. After a full day's delay, I was only able to give my host a 1 hour heads up regarding my arrival time, inconveniencing her too. Unbelievably indifferent staff attitudes. Terrible service all around. Don't fly Condor, and consider avoiding Lufthansa for tolerating such awful treatment if their less-moneyed customers."

Cons: "both the outgoing and return flights did not start boarding until after the flight was scheduled to leave. The gate leaving from Frankfurt had its own security line for just this gate, and then we were coralled in a small space waiting to board, and this little area was packed and really hot in comparison to the rest of the airport. Had to pay to choose a seat, as I didn't want them to stick me in a middle seat. also had to pay to get more than 2 movies, the card reader declined all 3 of my cards (they worked in the airport before boarding). I guess Im used to the fantastic service of Alaska airlines, where they are much more willing to give you free things on the plane, meals, drinks, especially if the card reader doesn't work. Luckily the gal next me had some cash to cover me. I also asked for a pen to fill out my custom papers, and a stewardess said no, she didn't have a pen and walked off. I would like to say I wouldn't fly them again, but they are cheap, and not having layovers is really nice"

Cons: "The flight arrived to Frankfurt to late for our next flight and re booked our next flight twice. So instead of waiting only an hour and half we ended waiting 7 hours. And the boarding on the next flight almost didn't have any seats. The entertainment and all the movies was not free of churg. And there was not enough food. I was hungry during the flight and found my self eating only junckfood snacks. Also the baggeg allowed was so small specially for international flight. I never heard before about only 20 kg allowed, and I fly a lot. This is not all, they even weight our hand baggeg. I was shocked and disappointed."

Cons: "#1: You will receive an email 24 hours before your departure, urging you to check in online. Austrian Airlines also tells you, if you check in online you can pay for your luggage online, and pay less than at the airport. This is a lie. You cannot check in online. I tried on several Austrian Airline flights, to check in online 24 hours before departure. I tried to do this on several different devices, and I clicked every link that would allow me to do this. Each time, I was brought to a blank screen. #2: I and a friend were flying together on Austrian Airlines out of Prague, headed to Vienna and then Sofia, Bulgaria. We got to the ticket counter and Austrian Airlines had changed my friend's flight to a flight leaving Prague 6 hours after mine. They never informed her of this, they sent no email, they did not call her, despite having all her contact information. Her flight had been reserved, confirmed, and paid for in total. But Austrian changed it without letting her know. We waited at the ticket counter for 20 minutes for the ticket agent to hear from his colleague. The agent at the counter was unable to fix this. After 20 minutes the agent informed us that my friend would indeed be able to get back in her original flight plan, so we could travel together. #3: He began assembling the boarding passes and when he asked us if we had any baggage to check, I said yes, and I handed him my credit card. I could not pay online and Austrian Airlines at Prague, does not allow ticket agents to process payments. He told me, in order to get our boarding passes we had to go to another counter and present payment there. So we went to the other counter, I gave that man my credit card, and proceeded to stand there for 20 minutes while he told a colleague on the phone my credit card number not once, not twice, but three times. About seven minutes into this process, watching the clock hands ticking away, fearing we would miss our flight from Vienna to Sofia, I asked him if I could just take the card back and give him cash. He told me "No it's too late". When we got to the gate, we were the last people to get on the shuttle bus taking us to our plane. We barely made our flight, and this is after arriving at the airport more than an hour and a half before our departure. I learned from this experience, that friends do not let friends fly Austrian Airlines. I will pay more money in the future if it means I can avoid flying Austrian Airlines. It is my hope that this review will prevent another traveler from going through what we went through."

Cons: "flight from Africa to Moscow was delayed 14 hours . They did not email or all to give notification of this . I spent 1.5 hours in a taxi and $50 going to the airport only to find it was cancelled adn then go back paying another $50. Turned out the pilot was sick, and they didnt have a single pilot as backup . I also paid $95 for my extra bag and they did not check it all the way through moscow, so when i arrived in frankfurt where my connection was, I had to pay another $75 to Aeroflot because of this error. On top of it all they lost my baggage. I didnt get it for another entire day. Never flying them again."

Cons: "The check in counter person gave me someone else's boarding pass. Good thing I had checked in online so I didn't have to wait in security line again. :(( The seats were so close together, people with long legs had trouble fitting in."

The entertainment system on the way back did not work; for half the people on the plane"
Cons: "The fact I told them way ahead of time that my girlfriend couldn't make the flight and there was no way to get my money back even though I had insurance on my flight .I figured that's the reason for purchasing the insurance to prevent getting screwed over . I was told just to change the flight date would have cost me 350 and that was the best they could do for me. Since my girlfriend didn't end up going I am now down 500 dollars for nothing .Thank you Condor for stealing my money"
