Cons: "We were on the runway for one hour and Calgary was not notified so we could not make our connecting flight even though room on the plane. On the flight an hour later we were on the plane for three hours but the weather prevented takeoff. Now we are sleeping in the airport until 6 am. So I think communication needs to be improved"
Pros: "I liked the 2-3-2 seat configuration so my husband and I could sit in a 2 seat row without being crowded in with anyone else. Those seats are tight!"
Cons: "Everything could have been better. Boarding was terrible. Apparently the Air Canada devices did not work at this gate? Because boarding was so delayed, we lost our spot to depart. We were stuck on the tarmac for an hour. The seats were too crammed together and very uncomfortable for a 4+ hour flight. Food service did come through, but they were out of most things. It’s advertised you can buy a meal/snack/drink combo but the drinks did not come through at the same time and that was a mess. There didn’t seem to be any air vents above the seats so the flight was very stuffy. We will never fly Rouge again."

Pros: "The staff and crew were just amazing, I traveled with my 83 yr old mom who's in a wheelchair and the staff was with us from arrival to boarding and once boarded, the air crew was helpful and checking up on her often during the flight. The plane was full load of people so it was really hot but the crew came by often with water refill. A lady besides me was coughing a lot and sure enough the stewardess came by with water and to ask if anything she could do without having been summoned. We rented tablets to see movies and I'm not very technological but the stewardess was very patient with me and took time to help me set up and she showed me how to go about in your application. The flights to and from Las Vegas were perfect and all thanks to the wonderful crew you have, even the pilot was standing at the entrance to greet us when we boarded which was great as I got to see who I was entrusting my life to during this 4h38 min flight, quite reassuring. Anyways, UA, Transat and AA take a back seat to Air Canada any day of the week!"
Cons: "the heat was real bad, even with he little air vents on the ceiling, it was still really hot. the leg room was cramped but it felt like the seats were a little roomier than my last flights with Transat, UA and AA but that could be my imagination."
Pros: "No in flight entertainment system. I hate those things. They take up room and lots of times you can't even turn off the screens. Streaming to personal devices is a much better solution."

At the time of writing this, I haven't heard anything back from Air Canada on how they plan to reimburse me for the food, and travel to and from the to and from the Airport. Don't fly Air Canada! Hitch hike, it's more dependable than that trash airline"

Cons: "Due to icy weather we missed our flight from Montreal to Las Vegas Wed Jan 4. Could they not have waited for the delayed flight from Ottawa to facilitate this connection? Many people had to wait overnight in the plastic airport chairs until the next flight at 8am Thurs Jan 5th. At that late hour could not the lights be slightly dimmed, the heavy beat pop music loop discontinued, and a dispensary machine with water, coffee or tea be in the departure area? There was none and the other shops had closed. It was overly bright, noisy and impossible to stretch out on the seats with rigid dividers."

Pros: "The crew was fast and efficient at helping get the carry-on luggage stowed. Beverages were offered frequently. The seat was comfortable and i appreciated that the aisle armrest was easy to lift up for getting in and out of my seat."

Cons: "I did not like paying for picking my seat. Back in the day if you booked your ticket you got to pick your seat, like first come first serve, without paying for it. Now, if you want to guarantee a window seat you have to pay for it. I only did it because my mom advised me to. And I did so because I always listen and respect her advice. It made for a good experience because i like looking out the window. However,I did not appreciate having to pay for it. I believe that since we incur a plethora of microcharges for everything on the plane ticket that it should include picking your own seat without a separate charge. It is likely a matter of time before we will be charged extra for salt on our pretzels."

I thought if there was not enough space for my on board belongings, it might be taken off and put as checked luggage, even though I met the on board requirements. There should be overhead space assigned to each seat...not first come first served..... that way people wound not take advantage of carry on allowances."

Though we had checked in online, it still took forever to check in at the counter as the machines could not print out the bag tags, then there was another line up for dropping off the bags. Those machines also could not read foreign passports though Canadian ones were fine. So we had to wait for our friends who were from overseas. The stewardess doing the announcements went so fast you could not hear her except for a few words, and she had a very strong French accent so it sounded like she was speaking in French all the time. But at least she was better than the pilot, whom we could not hear at all. The only word we heard was "cloudy"."

Cons: "First, the departure gate was changed without any announcements, and I only noticed it because I stopped to look at and read it off one of the airport's electronic boards. Then, after I arrive at the (new) gate about 20 minutes later, they announce that the flight was to depart at the original gate, which turns out to be a mistake. Very disorganized..."

Cons: "It was very cold in the airplane and if you wanted a blanket you had to pay for it. Also no free food was served. The plane was slightly delayed (~10 minutes)."
Cons: "There was a delay in take off for more than an hour. The gate staff did not give any updates and one of them was particularly rude to a mother and her disabled teenage son. The son was becoming quite agitated because he did not understand what was going on and the gate staff person told the mother to keep him under control as if he wasn't there. It was poorly handled."
Cons: "The customer rep at the gate checked my bag but didn't attach my name to it, so they lost my bag. Flight attendants did not want to serve any coffee for some reason. Flight from TO to Hfx delayed twice; once d/t no plane available, then the ground crew left so no one to close the plane door from the outside. Had a maintenance issue so sat on the tarmac for way too long. My bag was found & I was told I would receive it the next morning.... NOT!!!"

Pros: "I've been flying China Southern for my last 4 Transpac flights. The equipment is competitive with all the carriers are always clean. Their 777-300ER from SFO to CAN is very comfortable in economy. The seats and headrest a very supportive and yet have a soft touch. 14 hours and 35 minutes and I wasn't numb. They provide complimentary beer and wine throughout the flight. Their price often cannot be beaten."
Cons: "CZ658 SFOCAN January 20, 2019, is the first time my seat back infotainment system didn't work. I didn't have to say anything. An inflight staff brought me a tablet preloaded with a slimmed down assortment of movies, music etc. I usually binge watch and this time it worked out"
Pros: "Well, I got to my destination. We were bussed from a maintenance area to the arriving terminal. That was about 15 minutes of ride time. Then we waited a long time for our luggage since it was not actually at the terminal either."

Pros: "I'm happy that CZ retains 777-300ER economy seating 3x3x3. This makes for confortable seating and space on a long haul flight. I ordered special meals and they always get it right."
Cons: "It would be nice if inflight floated more frequently during these long flights. I'm disappointed that there is not more control during main cabin boarding. They have the stancions and signage available to help avoid the crush and provide some order with groups by row numbers and enforcing it."

During all this time, crew never gave any announcements in english language, so foreign tourists had to get information from other passengers who could translate..."
Pros: "The aircraft looked newer. Toilet was a bit roomier & appeared generally cleaner compared to same flights I’ve taken before. Seat in economy seemed more comfortable. I asked for aisle seats with no problem. On one leg, asked for premium seat (more leg room) & was provided with no problem. Noise level seemed lower. Snacks were at the galley when needed. Food was generally good (I usually feel nauseous with smell of airline food, but didn’t feel it). On one leg, asked for just fruits (instead of the regular meal), & attendant offered 2 apples (apparently personally brought by an attendant)."

I don't think there were enough on the plane, and other passengers were taking way too long in the bathroom. When one passenger decided economy class passengers weren't allowed to use one of the toilets, the staff did nothing. That was frustrating. :/"

However, due to the fact that you missed up three of the passengers information, they couldn't check in yesterday. The whole fight to LA was missed. As a result, we had to pay very high price to buy new tickets for the next available fight in order to complete the trip. I'v made four phone calls with your agent, with all records made. 1) The 1st agent confirmed that the information I provided were all correct for each passengers. So she believed there was nothing wrong and did nothing to help. 2) The 2nd agent realized the information were mixed up. But it was too late to let them check in. 3) The 3rd agent confirmed that the issue were caused by your system. He said only the supervisor could deal with this matter. He gave me a number which is not valid. 4) Finally, the 4th agent said you would contact me. No response by now. Still waiting for the response. Very disappointed after all."

Cons: "We arrived on time from our first leg only to be told that our original flight at 6:20 was cancelled - no reason, no apology. I was put on the next flight with China Southern which was due to leave at 9PM, but due to weather conditions our plane was delayed. I understand that the airport can't control the weather, but we were given no information as to when the flight was due to leave, which was finally at 12:30AM. Because my ticket was changed to the second flight, the staff who were handing out the dinners for hundreds of people stranded didn't believe that I had been waiting for more than 3 hours therefore I wasn't entitled to the gruel contained within the flimsy plastic container. Ultimately, I was just relieved to escape the place."
Pros: "The food was terrible! No snacks (not even a cracker!) in between meals. We waited 8 hours for the second meal."
Pros: "Had a 10 hour layover in Guangzhou. In the transit area, crew informed me that they could provide complimentary accommodations. They provided roundtrip shuttle between airport and hotel (Vienna Hotel, 3 star option, although they seem to have several hotel available). Got to rest, do some work, and shower before long flight to Amsterdam. Will definitely ride with this airline again."
