Overall I didn’t not feel like a welcomed guest and I do not feel enough compensation was offered for such an inconvenience. Not being able to have my bag overnight was a hassle. I had no clean clothes and had to throw out my contacts because I had no solution. I also couldn’t use the meal voucher they gave me because everywhere in the airport was closed by that time. No stipend was given for toiletries or food delivery. Very unimpressed."

It was only at the end of the flight when I was desperate for water that I discovered I could get some tap water from a flight attendant."

Just a couple pounds over the 50lbs and you get screwed with a $100 fee. There is very little AC in the airport and very few outlets so if you have to wait for a flight make sure to charge your devices prior to getting to the airport. WiFi on this an all other American Airlines flights I've recently taken has been useless - almost impossible to use."

I was seated away from my husband, beside a very large man who hugged the armrest and munched loudly on corn chips. For 5 hours. Movie headphones were poor. No leg room and I'm 5'4", 125 lbs."
Pros: "The cabin crew was horrible. When serving refreshments during the flight, I was ignored repeatedly when I asked for a soda. My wife sitting next to me, and the other passenger on our row were served. I asked the flight attendant 5 times for a drink and never received it."

Cons: "The basic economy fare is not explained well when purchasing ticket. Insane that you can buy a ticket for your toddler child who is flying with you but can not request to sit next to them. And no overhead carry on is ridiculous. Have had so many problems with United this may be the final straw."

Cons: "Purchased economy plus bundle. United employee closed gate in my face at ORD. United Club toilets were filthy and the worst of my problems was the ridiculous selection of teas. (Toilets outside of United Club much cleaner.) I had an economy plus seat, but this did not allow me to board early. So I boarded late and there was no seat in front of me. So I could not put my carry on in front of me. I asked if I could put my bag in top, but attendant told me that I had to ask the first class person in front of me for a favor and thank them for the favor. I did. But this was one of the more disgusting experiences that I have had on an airplane and I paid an extra 100 USD for the privilege of it."
Cons: "We boarded the plane and due to "mechanical problem", we sat on the tarmac for ~3 hours before departing. This led to missing our connection at LAX and then missing our connection in ORD to State College tacking 6 extra hours to the trip. The late arrival and full work schedule the next day left me exhausted and got a nasty cold as a consequence. I find the frequency of mechanical problem delays to be high and increasing."

The main issue was that when I purchased my ticket throughout Kayak YOU NEVER SPECIFIED THAT I SHOULD CHECK MY BAGS 45 MINUTES EARLY OR I WOULD LOOSE MY FLIGHT. YOUR LACK OF CLEAR INSTRUCTION SCREWED UP MY TRIP"

The big other surprise was when we got to Des Moines and realized all the bags were opened!...my wife's jewelry was stolen!!!! UNITED AIRLINES SUCK!!!!!"

(Just informed 5 min ago that flight has been delayed another day cause of plane issues.) they couldn't get us to sit together which I understand but also put me in a middle seat which I'm clostraphobic so that sucks. Told me that I can book a hotel to stay at and they would reimburse me.... eventually. Fought over that for an hour and they finally agreed to pay for Hotel. Overall the trip was great but the departure from Kauai has been real bad. Still waiting to leave the island."

Cons: "Where to start.... they "delayed" my flight for 11 hrs from 5:55pm to 0700am due to "weather" so no hotel or food vouchers would be issued. THEY ALSO SAID "don't bother going stand by for the other two flights leaving this evening as they will be overbooked or "cancelled" as well. When I walked to customer service they stated it was NOT cancelled but rather "rescheduled due to operational issues" then they put me on stand by for the next flight leaving in a couple hours. I boarded that flight only to be pulled out of my seat the last second before the gate closed saying there was an error and there were two "Fishers" and I was in one of thier seats. After closing the door and departing the gate the agent said "whoops" I guess it was a small child that was to be on the parents lap. "Sorry" as the plane left with an empty seat that I had been sitting in. After a long conversations with the supervisor they finally were able to book me on the last flight out that night arriving in DM at 12:15 in am. I had to dig my original boarding pass out of the garbage as they had refused to put me in first class... an upgrade I had paid for. After being lied to repeatedly about status of plane and bumped from flight due to incompetent gate agent I was able to finally procure a $10 food voucher (a beer is $11 at the airport. There are additional bungles including lost luggage and more to this saga but I think you get the picture."
Cons: "Plane change from lie down seats to regular. Intermittent sound on TV. Only movies & not very good. Attendant spilled water on me & iPad filling glass for window passenger. Seat reclinred but needed to be manually pulled upright. Not very good value for 1st class ticket price."

Pros: "I really appreciate them getting us there safely the crew was fine and it was nice to have tvs on each seat complimentary it really helps having something else to take you away mentally when physically your crammed together and it's really not comfortable or pleasant. I think the staff and crew were just fine though it's just flying has gotten to be something I don't enjoy and want to avoid as much as possible it's that way with most airlines though I think her blue is a little better on seat space and usually always has the tvs but yeah they are limited where they fly and it I is just expensive and uncomfortable to fly I think."

United Airlines is a great airline. There was a wonderful agent who helped me at the kiosk for check-in. Very friendly. The flight attendant on this flight was very personable."
