French Polynesia has been closed to foreign tourism since February 3 and for a minimum period of two months.
Travel are authorized only for travelers who can justify one of the compelling reasons (health, professional, family, return home).
Travelers must present a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result issued within 72 hours prior to departure. Children under age 11 are exempt from presenting a COVID-19 PCR-RT test result.
Travelers must register on the Polynesian Electronic Travel Information System (ETIS) and provide the receipt at check-in. Minors traveling with their parents can be included on their ETIS form.
Present the certificate of derogatory travel and the declaration on honour completed and signed.
If traveling from France, travelers will also need to produce an international travel certificate to be completed in order to travel to French Polynesia.
Airlines will refuse boarding to anyone who does not produce both proof of a negative result and the self-certified document.
Travelers are subject to a 14-day quarantine at a dedicated site in Tahiti, at their own expense. A COVID-19 test will be performed after 12 days of isolation before discharge on day 14 provided a negative result is received.
It is possible to complete the 14-day quarantine at home but only where prior approval is sought and granted at least 72 hours before flight departure. Certain conditions must be met and permission can only be given by the High Commission of the Republic in French Polynesia.

I asked for wheelchair and help claiming my luggage due to health problem but when I asked at the airplan gate if some body will help me the answer was wait over there with a rude way and ended by walking to the passport area and claiming my bags by my self, my bags was not there and I was going back and forth to follow directions been given to find my luggage. I was very exhausted and tired and asked people around me for help."

This answer was not expected at all and I was very disoppointed as I made a request to have a wheelchair from London. This request was ignored in London. I was very tired and placed my self to a risk of injury because I hade recent surgery to my right shoulder. As a British air way and this was my first experience I will think carefully next time to use this service again. One of my luggage was damaged and this bag was new and this was my first time to use it they told me at customer service this just a scratch and there is no liability for this kind of damage. hopefully some body can investigate this and do something"

Cons: "7.5 hr flight from Lisbon to Philadelphia on a dingy old plane that looks like it hasn’t been retrofitted in close to 20 years, with no charging ports for electronics, which seems insane in this day and age, especially for such long flights. Had no in-seat entertainment systems either, and only offered news and sports on the American wi-fi service — not their usual lineup of movies and TV."

I am now stuck here since that was the last flight back. The earliest flight available is next day at 12pm which means I am going to miss work and I have been on hold with AA customer service exactly for 3 hrs now and still holding."

Everywhere else is just trying to scam you."

Cons: "This was a horrible travel experience, the worst I have ever known. My uncle had died, so I had to search for the soonest and most economical flight in order to attend the funeral. Traveling with me was my aunt (his ex wife) and my cousin (his only daughter). Our initial flight was delayed 'due to mechanical issues' and they said we weren't going to make our connection in Phoenix. So they had to reroute the whole trip, which took about half an hour because all of the flights were full. So instead of flying from LGB - PHX - CLT - CAE and arriving Saturday night, we ended up departing from LAX (which we specifically were trying to avoid) almost 9 hours later. From there to DEN - CLT - GSP arriving Sunday morning. Because of this I had to contact the hotel and let them know that we weren't going to check-in until the next day, but I still ended up having to pay for Saturday night. Then, I had to cancel the rental car and make a new reservation to pick it up at GSP and return at CAE since the hotel was close to CAE, plus the return flight was through CAE. Also, wifi was an additional cost (which we didn't use because of this), the snacks were pitiful, and the seats were very narrow and uncomfortable. I have flown with JetBlue in the past, but on this occasion, last minute flights to South Carolina were prohibitively expensive. That being said, if I had known how bad the experience with American was going to be, I would have gladly paid literally double the price for the JetBlue tickets. And in the future, I will be flying exclusively with JetBlue no matter what the cost."
