Cons: "The seats and legroom in the A380 were among the most uncomfortable I have ever experienced in an airplane. Not sure who to blame, China Southern or Airbus. Stiff foam and hard, no movable headrest, curve did not match my back, knees hit chair in front. I had just flown EVA airlines on a new 747 (I think) and had no such problems."

Pros: "Always, the level of service must be considered in light of the price--and CS had an excellent price. Food was acceptable, nice blankets."
Cons: "CS serves primarily a Chinese speaking clientele, so they do not need to attract staff with high levels of English. You are flying on a Chinese carrier, not one with a global feel. Service is more than adequate with respect to call button etc. But meal service is "clipped" (for lack of a better term). No extras, warm beer, wine but no liquor. No snacks.They can do better, if they want to compete with the gulf airlines. Baggage took about 45 minutes to arrive at LAX. Very glitchy entertainment system"

The Airline could have arranged vehicles rather than letting passenger run to catch the connecting flight. That was tough especially if you could not walk fast or run."

Pros: "Someone had booked the same seat as I did and since i was traveling alone they moved me up to first class on my long flight to China. Overall Excellent service!!"

Pros: "The business class cabin felt very much like business class on a regular U.S. carrier (although maybe lacking slightly in design). The lay flat seat was comfortable and the bedding was fine. The flight attendants tried hard and were very nice."
Cons: "The service was always just a bit off like they had no organization. My partner was served a little nut plate, no such thing for me. They got my entree wrong for dinner and entirely skipped me for dinner on the return flight (of course they were very nice and apologetic when I mentioned it). They served one of us cheese but passed the other one by. Not a big deal, but everything just seemed a bit disorganized. The mobile device thing was odd--- they kept telling me to turn off my kindle at odd times and no cell phone can be used even in airplane mode. The food was mixed--- some things were ok but other things were off, not due to taste but things like luke warm soup and stale bread."

Cons: "On Sep 14th, I paid on your websites with the confirmation of three airline tickets from Chengdu China to Los Angeles. All the information I provide for each passengers are correct. However, due to the fact that you missed up three of the passengers information, they couldn't check in yesterday. The whole fight to LA was missed. As a result, we had to pay very high price to buy new tickets for the next available fight in order to complete the trip. I'v made four phone calls with your agent, with all records made. 1) The 1st agent confirmed that the information I provided were all correct for each passengers. So she believed there was nothing wrong and did nothing to help. 2) The 2nd agent realized the information were mixed up. But it was too late to let them check in. 3) The 3rd agent confirmed that the issue were caused by your system. He said only the supervisor could deal with this matter. He gave me a number which is not valid. 4) Finally, the 4th agent said you would contact me. No response by now. Still waiting for the response. Very disappointed after all."

Food is not in the quality you expect at least not for business class. They take your headphones 1 hour before landing while the movies run until 15 min before landing."

Pros: "China Southern staff in the airport was very professional and helpful in Guangzhou even though the conditions were very hot, humid, and information was confusing. On the plane, the flight crew attitude was professional and friendly. Food choices were great. Seats were larger and more leg room. Seatbelt fit well. I was a little dehydrated from my travel and the flight crew provided extra water on request. VERY SMOOTH landing."
Cons: "Had several gate changes and information was very confusing. The last gate A05 had a small waiting area for too many passengers in the room. It was very loud and also very hot and humid in the room. Some passengers were getting impatient with the delays, gate changes, and lack of information. The China Southern airline staff in the room was doing their best based on the circumstances and they were very professional. Some Chinese / English passengers assisted the airport staff to translate for other non-Chinese speaking passengers, which I thought was wonderful. Announcing system was hard to understand over the noise in the room."

The bathrooms were not kept clean during flight and at once point ran out of toilet paper."

And being so near the lavatories, it smelled of human waste. The actual bathrooms were poorly maintained throughout the flight with urine all over the floors. And to top it all off...they lost my luggage."
