"Flight was delayed by one hour, then another 1/2 hour then cancelled and changed till the next day. We were not allowed to get our luggage & put up in a dirty hotel. I had cockroaches in the bathroom. When I finally arrived home…i noticed the airline had damaged the zipper on my suitcase."

Pros: "The flights seemed to go fast once we were in the air and it was nice the pilot was trying to get us there earlier because we had taken off late."
Cons: "I upgraded to 1st class for both flights but the plane seating was very dismal and hadn't been upgraded in either of these planes for a long time. After we boarded the plane we were told that no drink, snacks or food would be offered. The attendant shut off the lights as soon as we got in the air and kept it dark in the cabin until 10 minutes before we landed. She never came around to check on us once or ask if we needed anything. I was so thirsty when we landed. I have decided that I will either go back to United Airlines or check out the 1st class options at American Airlines better next time. This might not have been their fault, I'm not sure what it was, but the flight was late landing and we took off an hour late as well which really put me behind schedule."

Cons: "Delayed several times, one of which was because they didn’t have enough gas for the trip. The pilot also came in so fast and hard that he slammed on the planes breaks when landing - violently shaking the entire plane."

I’ll be watching you” for simple mistakes made before door of plane closed. Tried to talk elderly woman out of tea because she was lazy and didn’t bring hot water on her cart. Eventually brought it but why try to talk her out of it. Heavy set dark brown tall Attendant on flight 5874 Mesa Airlines. Lost my luggage. More and more friends, family & 1 flight expert says AA gets more complaints. Will try booking with another airline carrier in future unless absolute emergency to take AA. Worth $40.00 or more extra to get friendly service."

Cons: "My console did not work for the entire flight, including the overhead light and hellp/call button. The screen in front of my seat displayed error messages for the entire flight of 8 hours, from the time I got into my seat until after landing. I asked the crew about it before take off. Nothing they did fixed it, not could the screen be turned off completely to avoid scrolling messages for 8+hours. During the flight I was told it couldn't be fixed until after landing. In that case why wasn't it taken care of before my flight ever started? Anyone inspecting the plane properly in between the previous flight and mine would have and should have seen the same error messages on the screen I saw, and resolved it then. ''Hot'' food in the main meal was salty and lukewarm. Also irritating that flights for 3 people booked 5 months ahead of take off with no option for us to choose seats should end up with 3 separate seats at opposite ends of the plane. Should automatically assign seats together for people booking that far out, on a first come first serve basis or allow seat assignment at time of booking by the customer. This flight was about the typical experience most passengers have come to expect from companies who have too much power and really don't care about the customers they are supposed to serve. This is not a reflection of the actual crew on the flight itself, they were average, not bad, but not great."

Cons: "AA has nine boarding groups, which queue up in two lanes. Each of the two lanes hold about 5 people, at most. This is ridiculous. It creates enormous crowds of people jockeying to be near the tiny lanes for when their number is called 5 or 10 minutes down the line. AA needs to reduce the number of boarding groups, lengthen the lanes, and provide more of them. No other airline boards this way. That's because this boarding method is stupid. Unsurprisingly, our plane took off late because they couldn't get everyone boarded in time."

Pros: "I had a great experience on my flight and the staff could NOT have done a better job. I want to thank everyone from the boarding gate to the deboarding gate, for such a nice experience. But listen up Americans, the entertainment would’ve been better, if one: the internet was free like it was in MEXICO! And two: the sound worked for the movies. (That might’ve been my fault... or my phone’s fault). But, the free texting was something only available in a country to which Donald Trump (the most patriotic American in his whole wide mind) thinks is so inferior! What’s up America? Can’t afford to give us free WiFi in our planes? I hear ya... What’re you gonna do Trump, build a wall around the United State’s overpriced internet service?!? Just kidding folks! I had a great flight!"

Cons: "Me 6’ 200 lb sitting in middle seat next to somebody that needed 2 seats for self (pls understand I’m not unsensetive nor prejudice just stating a fact). I requested to sit in last row (of both sides of plane that were empty but attendant said sears reserved for attendants - 2)."

Cons: "No local temperature control, back of plane too cold, middle too hot. No air vents at seats. 3 hours with no drink service, went to back asked for a diet coke, was told no. Flight attendant who was in the back would not give me one, said they were doing water service now and I should wait."

Pros: "Knowing in advance not to expect a great flight helped. Paying in advance for aisle seat closer to front. First movie that played over large sceeen was of interest. I especially liked that it was a direct flight to my final destination."
Cons: "Food was terrible for someone lactose intolerant. Flight attendent accidentally splashed used coffee on me but didn't seem overly concerned that my pants got stained. Shared screen entertainment."

Cons: "I paid hard-earned money for an expensive flight to Madrid. Not only were we very delayed on the way there, we were also delayed on the way back. We spent 3 hours back and forth on the tarmac stuck on an old bus in 100+ degree weather being delivered conflicting information, summed up to the seats being "broken". We got a "bathroom break" during which was talked to very rudely by the flight attendant at the gate, and then was almost left behind by the bus on the tarmac. Additionally, once we got onto the plane, it was extremely old (I'm talking no TV's, ashtrays on seats, filthy tables, dirty seats). To top it off, when I went to the restroom in the middle on the flight, I saw flight attendants drinking Tito's and soda in the back in the plane and talking loudly. I am not usually one to complain- but this was a particularly bad experience and terrible ending to my vacation."

Cons: "hour delay because too hot to land in El Paso, only then did they need to fuel the plane, then realized plane was overweight, made me wonder if making it up or really hadn't thought it out."

Cons: "The boarding was unorganized, the person calling for boarders had a heavy accent and hard to understand, many of us missed our group call. Boarders were positioned every where and it was hard breaking thru the crowd to get to the boarding area. A real cattle call. Inside, the plane is very confined environment. The wine was a nice touch but I don't drink. The food served was not the greatest."

Cons: "We prepaid to select our seats and when we went to check in our seats had been changed. No apologies or effort was made to fix the situation. They said it happens all the time. They should never charge for seat selection if they do not honor it! Total rip-off"

Cons: "Showed up 29 minutes before my earlier flight and was evicted. It took 7 hours to get on another one. Then that flight was delayed an hour due to the A/C not working. Frequent business traveler going to avoid AA at all costs from now on."
