Pros: Store was closed at my scheduled pick up.. II lost. Whole night of travel. First car was dirty . Had and wipe down windows to see right. The front wheel had a huge “ chunk” missing from it and I had to exchange the car after I drove the car 10 hours. Very unsafe! The rear view mirror would fall off with bumps. Very unsafe. The front wheel had no under carriage. I was initially told the car had been checked... I seriously doubt it. When I called the closest hertz the manager ( regionall) was rude and unwilling to help. I had to drive to the airport to exchange it. The second car was much better and staff at airport (Austin) was great!Cons: Read my comments. I could be reimbursed . It was ridiculous!

Enterprise Rental was very professional, efficient and best price!Pros: Ease of rental and return and lowest cost price for a one-way rental in the southwest. Enterprise employee gave a tutorial on how to use the complicated radio and the instruction manuals were left for us in the glove compartment. They called within a few days of our return to have us review their rental.Cons: The 2017 Chevy Impala was a very nice car with two exceptions. 1. The visibility on the side windows and through the rear window is less then preferable. We had to be extra careful to look 2-3 times to be sure no car was there. 2. The radio connection to my iPhone was complicated and not intuitive. Could not switch easily between the radio and iPhone without having to reset the iPhone.

Took about 10 min tops & customer service was excellent!Cons: Dropping off in El Paso was easy & efficient but picking up another car 4 days later was a nightmare. Took over 40 min just at the desk (there were 2 people ahead of me). Once we were in the parking lot to pick up the car, there was only one person working outside, but he was too busy on a personal call to help us. When he finally came over to tell us which car we could take, he didn't get off the phone, & just said, you can take that one, & went back into his booth, still on his cell phone, while we waited for him to let us out at the exit, which he walked to a couple minutes later, still on his phone. We were the only ones there! The car didn't have any windshield wiper fluid & the remote didn't work. My card was charged 2 separate amounts that didn't add up to the total on my receipt, it was for almost $30 more, & after being reimbursed for some of the inconveniences, the second amount is still on hold almost 2 weeks later & when I call Alamo, I keep getting different answers as to why, including, we don't show anything on hold, we show the transaction complete & there's nothing they can do except wait a few weeks & see if that amount is still on hold. DONT EVER RENT A CAR from the EL PASO LOCATION!

I was informed at the airport that they could NOT accept the car even if it was having problems... they did not resolve my issue AND DID NOT assist me In how to resolve the issue they basically sent me on my way and said that hopefully I'll make it back to my original office... The problem I had took a ALMOST a day to run around trying to figure things out and RUINED my spouse and I anniversary... at the end of the trip I turned in the car and even after all the headache I was not even compensated or even apologized to for the issues... Rick Saved the DayPros: This all started / happened on July 20th, Thursday. What I liked about Dollar as a company in bullet form, because the stuff I plan on typing is very pointed at a particular couple of staff members. Pros: Easy to reserve on the website Rick was fantastic - prompt, helpful, and fixed the biggest issue we had. Clean Car Quick process Excellent explanation / upsell for return conditions ($25 for no gas etc) Rick (El Paso Airport Dollar / Thrifty) is commensurate with what I want every customer service experience to be, and I sincerely hope this reaches him and his manager so he knows that his attitude and attentiveness are greatly appreciated. He righted the ship that Jacob (inside desk) ruined with his rudeness and poor service, and until my dealings with Rick, I had no intention of ever renting from Dollar again.Cons: Cons list: 1) Jacob. I arrived at the counter inside ELP for Dollar / Thrifty and patiently waited behind a gentleman at the counter for approximately 10 minutes. At the end of this ten minutes after the previous customer had walked away, I approached Jacob (guy at the counter) and said hello. Without even looking up at me, Jacob stated "Go outside," and pointed in the general direction of the parking garage. "Excuse me?" J:" Go outside, there's a kiosk in the parking garage, someone will help you out there." - again, never making eye contact. My parting question to him was why he'd let us stand there for 10 minutes if he knew he was going to rudely refer us outside, and he ignored this and repeated "Sorry, go outside," pointing again. The worst part about this experience is that Rick was EXTREMELY helpful, and apologetic for Jacob's attitude, even providing us with a manager approved upgrade - 'apologetic' not being a stance he should have had to take if Jacob hadn't been mistreating customers inside. Even worse is Rick is getting referred angered customers from inside, and I'm sure he got blindsided more than once that day. TL; DR - People like Jacob (inside desk, July 20th, Thursday, ~3:00pm Local Time, El Paso Airport) shouldn't be the face of your company, unless you want poor reviews and a pissed off customer base. Get Rick a commendation or bonus or SOMETHING, because he saved this experience single-handedly.
