The crew was wonderful. Our flight was delayed 1.5 hours due to hurricane Ida. We had to sit in the plane during that time but the crew was passing out water and keeping us updated. The gate at Logan airport was cramped and tiny, so there was no where to sit. The crew kept everyone comfortable with snacks and drinks throughout the flight. I can’t say enough about the crew!

The way the crew asked was was very rude because he stated if we stand up he would keep the door closed. I understand about the passengers with connection flight but its Jetblue responsibility to get these people to their connection but it shouldn’t jeopardize me."

Cons: "I forgot to the flight attendant’s name but she was quite rude. I traveled with an infant who required warming up of her milk in a bottle and I would ask for hot water and she failed to bring it over. I requested hot water twice. Initially when the plane was taking off- she stated she cannot bring anything while the flight was taking off but even after take off and in cruising altitudes she did not come over until we rang the call bell and another flight attendant came over. Second time mid flight we happen to ask the same flight attendant for hot water as she passed by— she nodded her head but again never returned with the hot water. Again I hit the call button and another attendant came over and gave me water. I felt that she did not like attending to the flight guests and always seemed to give an attitude. I understand traveling with a child may be hard for others, but imagine the parents who have to care for a starving baby. The flight was also a bit too warm."

We had not decided on our return and wanted to leave it open. Can she do that? If not, I would like my money back."

Cons: "The airplane seamed VERY WEARED OUT, even the winds, when you look through the window. Crew had to beat really hard carry-on luggage containers to close them. There was a lot of turbulence and because of the visible bad conditions of the plane we heard noises from the fuselage that were not normal. We feared for our lives... when in the way for landing we were loosing altitud softly, as it should, but there was a moment that the pilot pushed SUDENLY up again in a very hard way, after a few minutes he said it was to allow more time between planes, and that we will do one more tour that will take 10 more minutes. When we finally landed people were clapping, we also clapped celebrating we were alive. I think, if Jet Blue doesn’t replace or at least FIX this kind of rusty planes, I’m done with this company. It was a couple of dollars cheaper, but, my life is worth more than this."

Cons: "An individual who was very overweight sat next to me and took up half of my seat as well. I understand we all deserv to ride comfortably and my intent is not to shame them. That said, if someone can’t put the armrest down I think the airline should require them to purchase both seats as it’s very uncomfortable to be in the position of having no seat for the entire ride. I’m an average sized person so it was a challenge but even tiny people deserve the full seat they purchased. There really should be a rule or something."

Cons: "This was the most unnerving, uncomfortable flight I have ever been on. I really do love Jetblue and I know that this particular flight doesn't define you. That being said I was sorry to have to have experienced this. Even sitting on the runway before taking off the ride was uncomfortable as we swerved our way to the take off position. The weather was nice and it felt so strange that were going back and forth as if the path was filled with sharp S-curves. Then the entire flight was bumpy as we went up and down and all around. I would say there was about 20 mins of smooth air the entire flight. Then there was the last 90 minutes which was absolutely terrifying. I know that the turbulence can't be helped but I do feel the Flight attendants were not very accommodating during it. I sat near the back and they just sat there and chit chatted about something they were meeting up to do later while people were up and about when the seat belt sign was on. Then there was a baby screaming for many hours and they never tried at all to help the parents or anything calm them. They mostly just sat in the back, complained it was bumpy and laughed about how people were agitated because of it. I found it to be so much more frustrating that in addition to the bumpy air, crying baby and passengers just roaming around we also had to deal with the attendants laughing about how uncomfortable we were. It was not what I have ever experienced before and I truly hope I never have to experience again on JetBlue."

Cons: "I never got the opportunity to fly because I was stuck in unusual traffic in a tunnel for over an hour just minutes from the Boston airport. I was later told there was a fire. I called the 1-800-JETBLUE number and I explained that the situation. The agent said that there would be a $75 change fee and at 4:47 pm there were no more flights out that night and that I would also be charged the fare differential the following day. I quickly went on line and found a deep discounted fare on United for $56! When I got to the airport there were several other people with the same situation. Not a enough agents on staff and no concern that I might miss my new flight on United. Thank Gid I acted fast and got another flight that evening or I would have needed to spend the night in the airport like a woman and her mother traveling to San Jose! Need more professionalism !"

Cons: "My plane boarded 20 minutes late. Jetblue forgot to de-ice the plane so we missed our takeoff spot and left an hour and a half late. We arrived in SLC over 2 hours late, and then proceeded to wait 20 minutes for an open gate. The entire flight I was seated next to an elderely couple that were making out literally on top of me. When placing my overhead bag, one of the straps were caught in the lock mechanism. Instead of the flight attendant moving my strap and closing the bin, she gave me attitude and told me to fix it myself. 2 hours into the flight i wished to sleep, but my television display was broken. As a result, the brightness of the screen was on the max setting the entire trip. The last two hours of my flight I spent dealing with a headache because the rest of the plane was dark, and the display was half a foot from my face. To top off my horrible experience, the row across from me, and the row in front of me, had a screaming infant which wailed the entire flight long. I will never fly with Jetblue again, and will advise anyone considering it to pick a different airline."

Then they kept switching the time we were going to take off later and later then earlier then later and later. It would’ve been nice if we got an updated time that we were going to leave- just say come back in six hours rather than make us get up and get down, board the plane, then get off. and get up again then change gates I could not get any work done. I understand that sometimes schedule can be unpredictable but this was ridiculous. One plane that was supposed to leave after us actually left before us and people were getting upset"
Pros: "I didn't like much of anything EXCEPT THE FREE WIFI. While it's nice to have all the bells and whistles (free in flight TV/movies, snacks/beverages, etc.), the basics need to be met too - which they weren't."
Cons: "I didn't like that the plane was delayed 1.5 hours for no good reason. Why have us sit on the plane in a cramped atmosphere instead of delaying it at the gate first until your ducks are in a row? Then the in-flight entertainment audio periodically cuts out, and they were resetting the TV system over 3 times. In addition, I had requested a price reduction when I booked the flight since JetBlue's website is buggy and the price went up $80 in front of my eyes while other people booked the seat I wanted, and they weren't willing to give me anything."
Cons: "It was just a mechanical issue that forced our plane to turn around 2 hours already into the flight, return to JFK, and then wait another two hours to board a new flight to go to PHX. So a planned 10 pm arrival in PHX turned into 6 am. I'm not sure there's anything that could have been done other than checking for that situation before we departed originally (if possible), and maybe being able to land somewhere closer than having to return all the way to JFK. I know JetBlue doesn't have a ton of locations or planes yet, so our options may have been limited. We did receive a $100 credit, but it was a pretty painful flight, basically turning into a red eye after departing originally at 6 pm. Again, I'm not sure if there were any other options, just wanted to report my experience. My flights have typically been on time with JetBlue and I am a Mosaic member. It may have helped if there was better communication back at the JFK airport (knowing it would be two hours instead of thinking we were getting right back on the plane), maybe we could have relaxed in a restaurant or something. It was just exhausting waiting and getting later and later. There isn't an Admirals Club or anywhere relaxing for passengers to wait in a circumstance like that. Thanks."

Cons: "Normally I don’t complain, but from the jump this flight was a nightmare. I fly JB all the time but this time was not nearly as enjoyable. I asked my attendant 2 times to buy headphones. She never brought them and maybe she forgot but She sat in the front on her phone the whole flight which was just irritating. After being delayed (for no apparent reason) Then having to sit for 20+ minutes because of a “jet bridge that’s too cold” (aren’t these made for the out doors?) this JB flight was less than satisfactory."

The only reason I even knew was because I asked someone if I was at the right gate because it didn't state it was a JetBlue gate anywhere. Then we were delayed two subsequent times for a maintenance issue and a gas issue. That didn't inspire any confidence whatsoever. We were also told we would be receiving a flight credit which I have yet to see."

Cons: "I didn’t like that yet again, my flight (to PBI) was delayed for hours and then upon boarding and making it to the runway, was told that I would be getting back off the plane because we no longer had pilots. I think its good that there is a limit for the amount of hours pilots can fly but to leave an entire plane, the last flight out in particular, to have to wait an additional 2 hours to wait for new pilots is a little ridiculous to me. On top of that, I decide that I would rather go get a hotel than wait to fly out at 1am in the morning, I come to find that I will have to leave my checked bag on the plane and go to my hotel, in Boston, in 17° weather, without a coat or my toiletries, my phone charger....everything I would have needed went to PBI without me. Needless to say, this was by far my worst experience flying Jetblue. And to top it off, this was the second time this trip (flying out of PBI to Boston earlier left me delayed for 5 hours) that I felt like what I enjoy about Jetblue was not at all what I receieved. I understand that the holidays are a challeging and busy time for airlines, but it feels like PBi flights are by far the worst and that for some reason, Jetblue flights for PBI to Boston, and Boston to PBI are nightmares. Very disappointed."

Cons: "I came 40min prior to my flight and found out that it was too late to check in my bag. I rescheduled my flight for $50 fee to make sure I get in in time for my meeting. When I went inside, I found out that my original flight got delayed and was leaving only 15min earlier than my new flight, which then got delayed for another 45min...disaster. Essentially, I paid extra $50 for nothing. In fact, I would have been on my original flight and gotten to my meeting in time had they not had you are on your own attittude toward customers."

Cons: "We had a short span of time between our flight from Dublin. I worried the whole time I was not going to make it since it said doors close at 2:04 and we landed at 1:55 or something close to that. When I got off the plane the gate agent told me AerLingus does theirs differently - that meant that is when they started boarding. It would have relieved a lot of stress if they had explained that. Also, our luggage didn't make it on the flight. Said it was stuck in customs since it did not have enough time. Understandable, but why didn't someone from JetBlue come out and get us instead of making us wait at the luggage terminal for 30 minutes before we went and checked. Also, they told me on the phone that my luggage would arrive at 7 and it came at 4 - luckily I was home. What would have happened if I was not?"

Airline staff are very helpful, airline is extremely punctual, polite, and organized, aircrafts are especially clean and comfortable.

This was my first flight with LATAM, and I loved it! After not being able to reach my final destination on Spirit Airlines, I booked a ticket with LATAM. I unknowingly booked a first class ticket, but I was not disappointed! I had never been in first class, and I was so impressed with the flight attendant politeness and attentiveness, meal service, spaciousness, comfort, and window views. I would like to fly them again!

Cons: "Latam Airlines has the worst service for the fare paid. We were charged for two carry on bags while other passengers with same bags didn’t have to pay. Crew gave us stupid explanations to justify charging us like you are in the boarding group 7 which we never asked to be placed. It’s the airline business to choose some passengers to charge $100000 Colombian pesos for getting bags, and then after being forced to pay for the bags crew doesn’t give a receipt so we wouldn’t have proof of the fraude. Charging for bags is at discretion of crew. When buying the tickets for me and my family I checked the policy about luggage and the website doesn’t state about being charged for getting regular size bags like ours."

Cons: "First of all I bought my ticket through Kayak, but apparently something called the flight network was the issuer of my ticket apparently they are and travel agency in canada , first i needed to change my ticket and they could not do it , then I dis not use my outbound flight because I needed to get to my destinantion one day earlier and yesterday i received an email saying that my return flight was cancelled. they told me that since i did not use my outbound they automatically cancelled my return flight, I ended up loosing 300 USD because of mis information from that travel agency , the people that answered my call were very disrispectfull, this has been the worse experience and ai ended up loosing all my money I had to purchase another return ticket."

American unexpectedly and without any reason moved my and my wife’s seat so that we were 11 rows from our 7 and 9 year old. I tried to get moved back to our original seats and while they were trying to figure out how to do that, someone bought the exit row and we were stuck. It just seems like being a million miler and and a gold elite don’t mean anything anymore.

Ultimately, I was placed on the flight, but had to rush to every single one of my four connecting flights. I am a frequent traveler but this is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. Avianca should be embarrassed to be associated with star alliances."

The seats seemed comfortable at first, but actually hurt my tailbone pretty quickly, while the 17 hour flight we took next did not. Tray tables are the folding kind and a bit awkward. We were in the last row by the bathrooms and our seats didn't recline at all. You had to pay for any kind of snacks other than a little bag of pretzels and a package of cookies. We were in one of the last two boarding sections, and the woman letting us on the plane tried to make us check out carry-on luggage, stating that the overhead bins were full. Well, we didn't want to be without our bags for the next 24 hours, so we argued and she let us "try" to bring them on. There was PLENTY of room back there! It's just the standard line they feed, apparently, so beware if you're sitting in the back of the plane!"

Eventually, after about 6 minutes, he managed to control his breathing and still no flight attendant to be seen. Only after 20 minutes while distributing the meals, one of the attendants shuts the call sign of and continues. This is not the service we usually get from Avianca!"

Cons: "This was a plane with central screens along the aisle, and the airline chose to broadcast a sci-fi action movie with almost constant flashing blue light, and violent action scenes. This was first of all a movie that many people, including me, would never choose to watch, but since it was on the aisle screens there was no getting away from it. It was also unsuitable for children, even without sound. But mainly, I object to the showing of any film in that situation - only aisle screens available, and on a night flight where most of the passengers are trying to sleep. I was awakened several times by the flashing lights. Other things: one of the bathrooms was not very clean, and the plane felt like the usual cattlecar, with just 3 seats on each side of the aisle, which is unusual and unpleasant for a transatlantic flight."

When I called to tell them over the phone we would have our emotional support animal I got an attitude as if I hadn't been doing this for the last 4 years. She reiterated to me that we needed in addition to the letterhead from the doctor a form filled out (which we both did ) . Brought to the airport and sit had to sit at the counter like the girl didn't know what she was doing. Fast forward to finally getting to the gate after being stressed and our flight was delayed. This now only made our 50 min layover in DC 20 min by the time we landed. We ran from one gate to the next hoping we wouldn't miss our flight and when we got there they wouldn't let us on the plane saying things like "your dogs are not on this flight" "there is no documentation" "well then you must not have the right paperwork" ... in front of a bunch of people in line, out of breath, and now embarrassed I am forced to take out my folder and give them all the paperwork I had just given to the customer service desk before our first flight. They let everyone on the plane and still made us stand there and finally said "just go but your dogs aren't on this flight". Fast forward AGAIN to sitting on the flight the flight attendant comes over and says "guys where's you carrier the dogs need to be under the seats" .. we peoceeded again to explain for the seventh time that they were emotional support animals ... she then proceeded "no they are not they are not even listed on this flight" at this point I'm EXTREMLY embarrassed because people on the plane are paying attention and drawing attention to us but not only that ... I have been doing this for years .. I ALWAYS have the proper documentation as does my husband and we have never ran into this kind of disappointment and embarrassment from any airline until now. I was so stressed out to begin with and this deffinately didn't help ... nor did it make us wants to fly on American again. I felt pushed aside, embarrassed, and belittled by multiples employees ... all because the first employee clearly made a mistake and didn't document things correctly ... that should have never been put on us ."

If I was able to speak to a customer service representative when I repeatedly called for answers, I may have learned of this policy. I was told I could repurchase my flight home for $150, which was too much for me to spend. I am very disappointed that Spirit's budget nature even extends to poor customer service and lack of real humans to provide information during stressful travel situations. Since Spirit has done nothing to make me want to use this airline again, I will be seeking other carriers for my future travel needs."

Cons: "My return flight was affected by Hurricane Irma. Spirit's first response was understandable under the circumstances, and I felt that they handled it as well as could be expected. They canceled my flight, notifying me about 8 hours prior to the flight, and automatically booked me for a new one for the next day. However, when I arrived for that flight, they cancelled after I was already checked in. The lack of prior notification -- and the fact that it was now two days after the tropical storm -- made me think that this was poorly handled. At that point, I bought a ticket on another airline. Spirit emailed me two $50 vouchers with an apology, which I appreciate, but I plan to contact them for a refund."

Seats were cramped, no entertainment and water will cost you $3! Definitely will not fly Spirit again!"
Cons: "After I spoke with another individual he understood what had happened with maintenance on the front end of MSP and that I would've made my FTL flight to SJO had the flight left at 6am like it should've not 3pm. He said nervously that he'd have to talk w/ the supervisor again, where she came back & tried to fight about weather issues from BOS to FTL..but she didn't take a second to understand that I was delayed from maintenance in MSP which didn't allow me to leave til 3pm vs 6 am. If i had made my MSP flight at 6am, I would've made my flight in BOS at 2:45 and therefore caught my FTL to SJO flight at 11pm. He then talked her through it once again, and she gave me a voucher very begrudgingly. Wrong person to have in this sort of position there. I didn't catch her name, but she was a very unprofessional supervisor working the late night shift at 11pm in FTL at spirit ticketing desk."
Cons: "This was my first experience with Spirit Airlines. I was due to fly in and out of Myrtle Beach, within 24 hours, direct from Boston, for some meetings. I had a 5:05 am flight and because I travel frequently, I knew at this time of the day, from this terminal in Boston, I could park and be at my gate in under 10 minutes. I arrived at 4:20 am and proceeded to the kiosk at 4:25 am to print my boarding pass. The kiosk said it could not print me one. With no one at the counter, and another passenger also unable to retrieve a boarding pass, we stood at opening of the security lane with not a single person in queue, staring in disbelief at our gate on the other side of the security point, which began to board, and while I was frantically on the phone with customer service, departed without us. At some point three Spirit Airline employees leisurely strode by engrossed in personal conversation. When we inquired how to retrieve our boarding passes, they said "Sorry, the kiosk closes 45 minutes before boarding. Someone will be back at the desk at 8 am." They shrugged their shoulders and walked away. My ticket says "Gates close 15 minutes before boarding" and NOWHERE on their website, boarding passes or itinerary does it say that you cannot obtain a boarding pass within 45 minutes of boarding. Furthermore, when I tried to check in online and "print" my boarding pass (who has a printer these days?), the process was so laborious, requiring me to login and create an account, that I abandoned the process and thought I would just use the kiosk at the airport. How wrong I was! Had I "printed" my boarding pass at home, I would have parked, walked through security, and boarded within 45 minutes, as I frequently do on American, which also flies from this terminal. This is a piecemeal, self-serve airline. Do not expect any customer service; in this unreliable era of air travel, I would not advise using this carrier unless cost is your priority and you are willing to risk the consequences."

Cons: "There was three desperate delays of our flight without any reason given. There were no customer service reps anywhere to be found during these delays to talk to. The gate at Logan airport for Spirit airlines is seperate from the rest of the airport so if you wanted to get any food or drinks you had to exit the gate and go through security again to get back in. None of the seats on the plane recline so you are sitting straight up in very uncomfortable chairs the entire flight. All of the power strips that were attached to the seats in the gate didn't work so you could charge your phone if you needed to. Also, on top of it all when you call customer service to file a complaint you wait on hold for 45 minutes and then they tell you to go to the website to file a complaint! What a joke of an airline. I will never fly with Spirit again no matter what."

Seating was limited, there was only one refreshment stand after you get through TSA, so if your flight is delayed (which mine was), you can't even walk around and see stuff. No free refreshments on flight, not even a water, you gotta pay. $50 for one checked bag that was 20lbs, ridiculous. The "low" ticket prices are a sham, you end up paying more in other ways."

Pros: "The plane seemed new. The seats were pretty comfortable for an airplane, although not enough legroom. The food cart by Cosi in the waiting area is pretty good for a food cart, except there are so many people the staff get overwhelmed."
Cons: "The Spirit waiting area at Boston Logan is terrible. It's way too small for the number of people boarding and deplaning. There is constant jostling (even while you're sitting down) as people try to get through the crowd. And there is only one food cart unless you go back through security. The food cart is by Cosi, so the food is reasonably good, but with this many people the lines for a coffee or lukewarm breakfast wrap are long. And you have to keep moving to let people pass by. Oh, and I had a 2.5 hour delay on last flight to BWI."
Cons: "I accidentally booked an 9pm flight when I meant to select 9am flight at 8am after missing my jetblue flight. I needed to get to Baltimore for work. I went through security and while I was about to board the plane they turned me away due to my ticket being incorrect. The woman checking the boarding passes rudely said "there's no room on this plane so we can't switch this ticket to 9am." I went to Spirit customer service minutes after I was turned away and they told me there was in fact room on that plane. So because of an honest mistake, they 1) wouldn't refund my ticket and 2) were rude and unhelpful and refused to let me on a plane that had plenty of space but they didn't want to inconvenience themselves for 5 minutes to change my boarding pass even after I had gone through security. I will never book Spirit again, even if I'm desperate."

My first flight, it looked to be an older plane, so I assumed they bought it used. My second flight, the plane was definitely new and they styled it so it would NOT be comfortable. They even made the tray table shorter. Wasn't able to fit anything on that. If you are looking for comfort or peace of mind in getting to your destination on time, then I would NOT recommend Spirit."

And, customer services reps are rude no sense of trying to ease customer frustrations. An announcement was made that a flight was cancelled and everyone needed to go to some desk to rebook. No apology, no acknowledgement of the inconvenience. Horrible customer service and dishonesty. I've had problems in the past with flights being delayed because flight attendants didn't show. No thanks."
Pros: "Love the prices and the cleanliness of the airplane. Every staff I have interacted with have been friendly, polite, and look as though they enjoy their job and coworkers. The Spirit terminal at the Baltimore airport is phenomenal. It is spacious, clean, bright and modern. I will definitely be flying Spirit again!"
Cons: "This is the second time that I have flown from Logan airport on Spirit. Both times I have been very disappointed and disgusted by the terminal. The terminal is crowded and unclean. There were crumbs, wrappers and bottles on the floor. The trash can near the gate was overflowing with boxes and napkins. I was in the terminal for over two hours and not once was the bathroom or terminal serviced by facilities or maintenance staff. The bathroom is dark and crowded as well. Because the stalls and space is so small it's hard to manage your bags while using the bathroom. I would highly encourage an extra shift for cleaning crew and perhaps a different layout for chairs to make it feel less crowded and to bring a modern feel and look to the terminal."

All to say: there is a very real cost to such cheap flights; do not underestimate it."

Difficult to get to site and then they wouldn't accept my password and then didn't send the password I needed to change it. It was extremely frustrating. When I checked in at the kios I was warned that if my bag didn't fit in the bin I would be charged $100 at the gate. I was a1/2 inch too wide so I paid the $55 and found that people were boarding with big backpacks and not paying. My bag fit easily under the seat. Can this money be redeemed?"

I also think that a complementary beverage service would be nice. We all know that corn syrup is extremely cheap so I don't buy into their ad campaign about how not giving free soda service results in lower fares."

Cons: "While I had heard bad things about Spirit airlines, I had never flown with them before. I was unaware at the time of booking that Spirit charges exorbitant fees for even carry-on luggage. As a result, I chose to attempt to fit all of my clothes and necessary items in a "personal item" sized bag to avoid the additional $90 it would cost me to bring a large backpack or standard carry-on suitcase. Other fees are charged for seemingly standard items such as being able to select a seat location and receiving a drink during the flight. I could have flown with another airline for the same price if I included the carry-on fee, and in retrospect wish I had. The problems did not stop there, however. Both my departing flight and return flight were delayed over an hour in clear weather. The flight itself was also the worst I have experienced. The seats were incredibly uncomfortable and felt like metal folding chairs. They did not recline and there was very little leg room. The full cabin lights were on for most of my return flight, which had been delayed over two hours to 11:15 pm, making any rest impossible. Cons: "55.00 fee for carry on luggage 50.00 fee for each checked bag I understand that it was a cheap flight, but they make up for that cost with all the fees! Plus there is no inservice drinks...everything is for purchase only. No cash, only credit used. Both my flights were delayed. The first one only and hour. The second over two hours. Crew on both were unprofessional and unkept. They were all wearing different color uniforms, I never knew if it was a flight attendant or a passenger. I would skip this airline in the future and just pay the extra with a better know airline. You will be paying extra in fees anyway, by going with this company. Oh and if you don't pay the 55.00 for your carry on at time of check in--they will charge you 100.00 at the gate. Terrible!"

Cons: "The flight was cancelled due to the plane being stuck in another city due to weather. I've had this happen before with other airlines, and they were able to rebook me on another airline's flight, with no price difference. With Spirit, they only were able to refund my money or move me to another date, four days later, which would have caused me to miss the event I was supposed to attend over the weekend. I thought since I was flying solo, without my kids in tow, using a cut-rate airline would have worked out. I've had no problems with JetBlue or SW in the past. But I would stay away from using Spirit."
Pros: "NOTHING POSITIVE!"
Cons: "They chose to cancel the return flight within 2 hours of the scheduled departure and were not at all helpful trying to get anyone out on any other airlines (because they're next available flight to that destination was 4 days out...) Not to mention on the initial flight to my destination, they had everyone board the plane 40 minutes early and then told everyone they had to all evacuate the plane and delayed the flight for 4 hours for NO reason!!!!! I would highly recommend avoiding flying spirit airlines at all cost, what I thought was a decent deal ended costing me an extra $400 for my last minute one-way trip and adding many many hours to my time traveling......"
Pros: "There wasn't much to like on this flight... it was pretty disappointing."
Cons: "All the hidden/ extra costs. It adds up to more than what any other airline would have costed and the service was worse. They lost my bag on the way there. They take FOREVER to get the bags to the baggage carousel (even when they make everyone pay extra to check a bag - but not as much to carry on a bag... you do the math). The flight was also delayed by 35 min. Once we got to our home airport, it took another 30+ minutes to even open the door so we could all get off the plane. It then took another 30 minutes once we all got down to the baggage carousel for the first bag to even come out of the baggage carousel."

Cons: "Both my round trip flight from Boston to Chicago were canceled due to weather. I wasn't given any warning. The most I got was an email that said "your flight may have been canceled" after the time of when the flight was supposed to leave. I waited in lines for hours to get refunds. I didn't have time to wait a second hour and ended up buying a new flight with American. There were not enough employees to deal with the line of people waiting. We had to wait for two different groups of people flying to other cities to process their baggage. I left the line after an hour or else I would have missed my flight. They gave me a number to call in order to get a refund and this call has taken me about an hour and a lot of explaining, even though a refund was promised. It's too much to deal with. I won't fly with spirit again."
Cons: "After being told we were circling our destination due to weather, we were deferred to another airport. This was fine until we were told we'd get sent out on the next plane... Which was also told to the other plane that got deferred (spirit) . Two planes all pushing to get on one. We were then forced to leave the gate with the promise of buses awaiting us. After 4 hours waiting for buses (midnight) I had to spend my own money to rent a car and drive 4.5 hours to my original destination. No offer to be put up in a hotel was offered, nor was an offer to catch another flight. Instead we were told to pay and extra $100 to be placed on standby for the following nights flight to our final destination."
Pros: "I took the flight from Boston to Dallas. Because of the extreme weather in Dallas, the plane was not allowed to land in Dallas,which occurred to all the other airlines. However, spirit is the worst to deal with the issue. They flied is us to Houston at around 6:00pm and kept us waiting in the gate for the reopen airport although they already knew the flight got cancelled. There was not clear announcement about their plans. Finally, I got information from other passengers, they provided two options: either refund or take their compliment bus to Dallas. l decided to take the bus. Again, no announcement of where and when the bus would arrive. After 3hr, two buses arrived, but not enough seats for all the passengers. I did not get in and waited for the next round of buses. Until midnight, the buses still had not arrived. I gave up and stayed the hotel near the airport instead. However, AA airlines already sent four buses to take care of their passengers efficiently before 11:00pm"
Pros: "The person who helped us with our refund was very helpful."
Cons: "We arrived to the airport to check our bags and were informed that our flight had been delayed an hour for maintenance. No huge issue with us we decided to eat breakfast and then hang out for a bit before the flight boarded. We arrived at the gate to find out the plane was delayed another 8 hours. I understand issues happen all the time that are out of our hands. The gentleman at the gate was extremely helpful and accommodating, but he still gave it a 50/50 shot of the plane being cancelled or not. We opted to receive a refund and drive to Baltimore. I completely understand that this was a safety issue with the plane. I'm not upset that the flight was delayed. But having to wait 9 hours for a plane that may or may not be able to make it or be cancelled was tough."
Pros: "Flight from Boston to Cleveland was only delayed 10 min. Return flight was a different story."
Cons: "Return flight landed on time but taxied on the runway for 2 hours (longer than the total flight time). Was only offered 1 small glass of water filled 1/2 up & 1 small package of 2 cookies as a result of federal regulations. Flight attendants & pilot only updated passengers every 25 min, saying it would only be another 10 min longer. As the updates were no accurate and late, passengers including myself were extremely frustrated. Mentioned delay of finding a gate was due to "politics", which I've never heard before. Was extremely disappointed in the way Spirit handled the situation and would not recommend this airline to people as a result."
Pros: "I liked the safety instructions given by flight attendant he was creative and funny making the whole plane laugh."
Cons: "What did to like? Pretty much everything. Starting with the fact they charge for a carry on. I paid $150 for round trip from Boston to Atlantic city. My carry on cost $42 each way!!! That means I paid $240 total for my flight. That wasn't comfortable, no food or drink offered, ride staff at check in desk, and very Uncomforrabel. I could flown jet blue for that with out any extra costs and a much better experience!!!! Never again will I fly spirit. I understand you get what you paid for. But it was so terrible it seemed that they know they suck but make jokes about it. Never again."
Cons: "The nickle-diming of the fares,the long winded check in process, the most uncomfortable seats that I have EVER had the displeasure of occupying, the absence of tray tables or seat pockets and the fact that you had to pay for any beverage or cheap snacks. Not to mention the 2-1/2 hour delay with no explanation. I will never fly them again and will make sure everyone that I know will hear of my experiance along with all of my social media. I could have flown Delta cheaper in the long run and in the future will book with more reliable,up-front airlines!!"
Pros: "I like that you are in control of what you want/need to spend. You don't have spend money on things that are of no consequence to you."
Cons: "The fact that Spirit has a different baggage weight limit than the other carriers was a bit of a shock. We fly a bit and maybe just took the 50 lbs limit to be common. Not at Spirit. The limit was 40 and that kinda made us go "hmmmm". It's not like Spirit hid anything, its just that we weren't looking for the differences to vary from the norm with other airlilnes. Also, the seats. They don't recline and there is much less leg room. This was hard on us as we are all tall. Again, Spirit let us know this was going to happen so there was no "surprise!", but it was uncomfortable on a 3 hr flight. The rest was fine. The crew was very entertaining."
Cons: "As a customer I should be informed about additional fees that are clearly stated before the final purchase of the ticket. My concern is that without visible proof of additional fees, it seems your intent is to mislead customers into false advertisement. I should not have to pay for a seat when you check in; it should have been a part of your initial payment of the flight---otherwise what did I pay for in the first place? Additionally, one should not have to pay for a carry on bag--especially $55. That is a lot of money. Moreover, a carry on should be included in the original ticket price as well as the seat price."
Pros: "We landed safely. Drink serveice without a cart was interesting and must be easier for the company."
Cons: "We didn't care for buying tickets and then getting charges for everything including choosing a seat. The web site was horrible and not mobile friendly. Customer service over the phone read from a script and couldn't really take care of anything for you.Also, Spirit expects you to have access to a computer and printer on your vacation. It "saves you money" to do it online. Yes, most hotels have access to those...assuming you're staying in one. Why can't I just check in on my phone and handle everything else at the airport like I just did on Alaska for my return flight? Why do your flight attendants tell us twice to keep our seats upright when they don't even recline? And, they spent most of flight playing games on their phones/tablets. Cup o noodle!? Really!? Flight industry is tough, I know, and you guys are the bare minimum. Head in expecting a nightmare flight and its not so bad."
Pros: "I liked that we had a female pilot on this particular flight."
Cons: "I had to pay to get a seat on the plane after I had bought the ticket. Seat prices ranged from $4-$20+, in addition to the plane ticket. There is not a carry on bag included in any of this so you have to pay an additional $45-$55 for a carry on and even more if you want to check a bag. There is no in flight entertainment (I like to read so this I didn't mind too much) or complimentary beverage service. Also, the seats don't recline at all. It ends up being a very uncomfortable flight for the same price you would pay for a better airline that builds that into the price instead of surprising you with fees after the fact. Will likely never fly Spirit again."

Cons: "Flight was cancelled at 7:30 am day of departure, we had already gone through security and gotten to the gate, before we were notified. Pilot could not be found, and did not show up for work.. No real attempt to help us find another flight. we had a 9 am departure, and had to be in Baltimore for my wife's conference at 5 p.m. We were told that Spirit had a 9 pm flight. That did us no good. That is all we were told. as an after thought, we were told there may be a flight at Jet Blue and we should go there. we flew through the terminal to get to the Jet Blue desk, and we said we were coming from a cancelled Spirit flight- they said "say no more, we are used to getting customers from Spirit cancelled flights," Jet Blue could not have been any nicer, and rebooked us on a 10:30 am flight to Baltimore. WE love Jet BLue, We hate Sprit."
Pros: "I liked the price and the onboard staff was pleasant. The pilots were appropriately apologetic."
Cons: "Our flight was delayed. Then delayed again, then delayed again and eventually cancelled!! So we were re-booked on the evening flight. Twelve hours later! Then that flight was delayed. And delayed again. Finally we took off 2 and a half hours after our scheduled flight time after spending 15 hours at the airport! We lost an entire day of our mini-vacation! We found out our flight was cancelled do to mechanical failure of the plane. We ended up with the very same plane that night and it was not fixed! They still had a problem with their auxillliary power so they had one Hell of a time getting the engines started we sat and sat and waited on the tarmac for the engines to finally be started. When we first arrived, the ticket agents were nice but seemed easily confounded and seemed to need a manager to help them with every single customer. Unfortunately, there was only one to go around. The baggage assistance office person was standoffish and acted like giving one word answers was a big intrusion on her time, although we were the only customers there when we talked to her. Baggage was in front of and behind her office door. We had to go in through a side door she shared with American Airlines. It was as if she wanted to discourage people from talking to her. There is more, but you get the picture."
Cons: "The flight to Chicago was fine, but getting home was another story. After delaying the flight about 1.5 hours the flight was cancelled. No real reason was given and no other airlines were canceling flights. When I called to get on the next flight, they said the earliest they could get me home to Boston was in 2 days. Everyone was frantically trying to rebook and the other airlines were selling out. Long story short, I ended up paying $270 for a flight to Providence via Charlotte on American Airline. My husband then drove the hour to Providence to pick me up. All in all....I am all set with Spirit Airlines."
Pros: "come on, have you ever been on more than 1 Spirit flight that landed at the expected arrival time?"
Cons: "being delayed 2 hours due to who knows what and missing captains :-/ And it makes a difference when you're trying to catch a train to DC after midnigt. Every time I fly Spirit, I swear I will never do it again, but the tickets are so cheap and the crew is always so nice. So WTF? Charge me 10 ir 20 more bucks and take off on time a little more than 60% of the time and maybe I'll recommend you to fellow travelers. Otherwise you stay a guilty pleasure and your flight continue to go unfilled. I know I'm not the only one to this..."
Cons: "Be careful flying with Spirit. Their policy is that you pay a very small base rate, with no frills whatsoever. The seats don't even recline at all. Baggage fees (even when paid online ahead of time) are very costly. You don't even get in-flight water for free. I can't tell you how many customers were upset any complaining about various aspects of the surprise costs associated with this airline; I'd imagine all over the country every day Spirit is causing frustration to hundreds or thousands of people. Would not recommend."

Cons: "I feel cheated and deceived. A checked bag costs $50. A carry on costs $55. If you don't realize this before you go the gate it goes from $65 to $100. The counter crew was rude, and the boarding crew in Cleveland was shaking down passengers to be sure they were not "cheating", stopping the boarding process to check passenger receipts. Getting an assigned seat, an extra $15 per person. And there was absolutely no leg room for that extra $15 (which I paid for). These costs should be shared upfront - basically every ticked is $50-$65 more than the website shows. I will not fly this airline again."
Cons: "No TSA pre-check, $55 fee for a carry on, crowded seating - felt like I was taking a bus. Would rather pay full price for another airline"
Pros: "The counter spirit worker Ozzie in Logan Airport went above and beyond to make sure I made my flight! Mr Ferraro who works for the TSA in Logan airport also went above and beyond, Mr Ferraro knew I was in a hurry, he thought I might forget my wallet, and when I took off running to catch my flight Mr Ferraro yelled Sir don't forget your wallet Awesome all the way around! 2 guys made my day and week! It was my brothers 20th wedding anniversary, and these 2 guys Ozzie and Mr. Ferraro truly provided heartfelt customer service that I will never forget! Thanks for being awesome!"

Cons: "I'll start off by saying, I fly about once per month, using several different airlines; Delta, American, Southwest, Jet Blue, etc. I've never encountered any of these issues once when traveling with any of them. Paid one price for the flight, then when I went to book a seat I had to pay even more to chose one. Forcing customers to create an account to check in for the flight, and not allowing check-in over the phone. Charging customers for water on the plane. In addition to charging for everything else, except for using the bathroom. No wifi on board, again every plane/airline I've flown in the last 2 years, has had wifi. Seats don't recline, again, at least not on the plane I flew. I will never fly Spirit again, and I will be encouraging everyone I know to avoid your airline as well."
