Cons: the flight was 2 hours delayed but the staff continuously kept us up to date
Cons: Wifi/tvs didn't work for a bit
Cons: Everything was perfect!
Cons: The plane was full, there were barely any empty seats. Everything inside the plane was old. The bathrooms were gross. The TV didn't work for most of the flight, and when it did start working you couldn't choose movies or shows to start from the beginning.
Cons: Lots of turbulence but our pilot handled it great!
Pros: Theres no earphone, how to watch?
Pros: Paid seat was comfortable, entertainment was great
Cons: The elder gentleman was very rude throughout the flight. Paid for front row seat mostly due to covid and he made us seat and wait for people that had a connection flight to exit the plane all the way from the end of the aircraft defeating the purpose of me buying the front row seat at $65 which was more than the seat was worth. The way the crew asked was was very rude because he stated if we stand up he would keep the door closed. I understand about the passengers with connection flight but its Jetblue responsibility to get these people to their connection but it shouldn’t jeopardize me.
Pros: Crew is nice.
Cons: Snack options. More frequencies of passing snacks. Limited options for movies
Cons: It was a 6 hour flight and I didn’t know only 2 snacks and a water were available on the plane until I got to the airport. Almost everything was still closed at the airport. We were quite hungry and thirsty.
Cons: COVID19 is over.
Cons: Maybe Food? I don't say during the COVID19
Pros: Everything about the staff was amazing. The plane was excellent I like the backseat televisions.
Cons: Everything about Jet Blue is amazing.
Cons: Old planes Small screens My remote control (BOS-FLL) didn’t work Wifi was slow Old plane for such a long flight (FLL-LIM). Only snacks on such a long flight?! International should give food.
Pros: I liked the male flight attendants on my flight. They were nice and cheery and was always willing to help. The inflight entertainment and WiFi was great. The snacks were also good.
Cons: I forgot to the flight attendant’s name but she was quite rude. I traveled with an infant who required warming up of her milk in a bottle and I would ask for hot water and she failed to bring it over. I requested hot water twice. Initially when the plane was taking off- she stated she cannot bring anything while the flight was taking off but even after take off and in cruising altitudes she did not come over until we rang the call bell and another flight attendant came over. Second time mid flight we happen to ask the same flight attendant for hot water as she passed by— she nodded her head but again never returned with the hot water. Again I hit the call button and another attendant came over and gave me water. I felt that she did not like attending to the flight guests and always seemed to give an attitude. I understand traveling with a child may be hard for others, but imagine the parents who have to care for a starving baby. The flight was also a bit too warm.
Pros: Having WiFi onboard the plane,
Cons: The crew, when I was boarding the plane one of the flight attendants a Caucasian women was saying hello, greeting everyone before me when I got in front of her she made a head gesture to say hi but didn't say hello. It felt like racial profiling to me.
Pros: The crew did a good job on the short flight.
Cons: Second delay on this trip, but at least it was ONLY 2 hours this time.
Pros: For this flight the rows are just four seats total, two isle seats and two window seats; that means that there are no dreaded middle seats. The seats are larger and more comfortable than many competitors.
Cons: The flight was delayed for two hours and then once we were on the plane and pulled away from the gate there was a "maintenance issue" so we sat just outside the gate for about 50 mins (bring delay time to three hours). The pilot was a bit worried about weather so there was no snack/drink service.
Cons: Free earphones for the TV
Pros: The delay
Cons: Don’t be delayed
Pros: The seats - awesome!
Pros: Boarding process was smooth, and attendants were kind and entertainment system seemed good.
Cons: Attendants could allow passengers to use extra leg room seats if they are empty once in the air. Would be great if the default setting for the screens was OFF.
Pros: My experiences flying with JetBlue have been consistently great! Delays happen & are of course out of the crew’s control, but offering free snacks while we waited & the efficient boarding process, along with the free movie & TV choices on the seat back screens, make the process great!
Cons: My only issues have been with LAX itself & staff there (nothing crazy, just less than stellar service & somewhat rude staff occasionally) but flying with JetBlue has been awesome.
Cons: no overhead availability due to full flight; entertainment sucked
Pros: Fly crew were friendly
Cons: The airplane seamed VERY WEARED OUT, even the winds, when you look through the window. Crew had to beat really hard carry-on luggage containers to close them. There was a lot of turbulence and because of the visible bad conditions of the plane we heard noises from the fuselage that were not normal. We feared for our lives... when in the way for landing we were loosing altitud softly, as it should, but there was a moment that the pilot pushed SUDENLY up again in a very hard way, after a few minutes he said it was to allow more time between planes, and that we will do one more tour that will take 10 more minutes. When we finally landed people were clapping, we also clapped celebrating we were alive. I think, if Jet Blue doesn’t replace or at least FIX this kind of rusty planes, I’m done with this company. It was a couple of dollars cheaper, but, my life is worth more than this.
Pros: Great service and smooth flight. On time, all good things.
Cons: An individual who was very overweight sat next to me and took up half of my seat as well. I understand we all deserv to ride comfortably and my intent is not to shame them. That said, if someone can’t put the armrest down I think the airline should require them to purchase both seats as it’s very uncomfortable to be in the position of having no seat for the entire ride. I’m an average sized person so it was a challenge but even tiny people deserve the full seat they purchased. There really should be a rule or something.
Pros: The Entertainment was fine and I appreciated the Captain communicating with us that there would be bumps on the last part of the flight.
Cons: This was the most unnerving, uncomfortable flight I have ever been on. I really do love Jetblue and I know that this particular flight doesn't define you. That being said I was sorry to have to have experienced this. Even sitting on the runway before taking off the ride was uncomfortable as we swerved our way to the take off position. The weather was nice and it felt so strange that were going back and forth as if the path was filled with sharp S-curves. Then the entire flight was bumpy as we went up and down and all around. I would say there was about 20 mins of smooth air the entire flight. Then there was the last 90 minutes which was absolutely terrifying. I know that the turbulence can't be helped but I do feel the Flight attendants were not very accommodating during it. I sat near the back and they just sat there and chit chatted about something they were meeting up to do later while people were up and about when the seat belt sign was on. Then there was a baby screaming for many hours and they never tried at all to help the parents or anything calm them. They mostly just sat in the back, complained it was bumpy and laughed about how people were agitated because of it. I found it to be so much more frustrating that in addition to the bumpy air, crying baby and passengers just roaming around we also had to deal with the attendants laughing about how uncomfortable we were. It was not what I have ever experienced before and I truly hope I never have to experience again on JetBlue.
Cons: T v s didn’t work very good took long time to get to run. Then interrupted many times.
Cons: The security and boarding area in Boston needs to be larger to accommodate a full plane of people and all others boarding their planes.
Pros: Hard working courteous crew. A 45 min. delay caused by safety concern. That's a good thing.
Cons: 2 of the 3 video displays in our row could not function in movie or show mode. Worse still: the arm chair controls seem perfectly placed for accidental activation, which happened dozens of times on our flight. No way to disable. Very unpleasant.
Cons: I never got the opportunity to fly because I was stuck in unusual traffic in a tunnel for over an hour just minutes from the Boston airport. I was later told there was a fire. I called the 1-800-JETBLUE number and I explained that the situation. The agent said that there would be a $75 change fee and at 4:47 pm there were no more flights out that night and that I would also be charged the fare differential the following day. I quickly went on line and found a deep discounted fare on United for $56! When I got to the airport there were several other people with the same situation. Not a enough agents on staff and no concern that I might miss my new flight on United. Thank Gid I acted fast and got another flight that evening or I would have needed to spend the night in the airport like a woman and her mother traveling to San Jose! Need more professionalism !
Pros: Entertainment was great. Plenty of room and very comfortable. Will be flying jetblue when available to where I am going!
Cons: The option to move to exit row if open without paying for the seat.
Pros: The TV was free, thats about it.
Cons: My plane boarded 20 minutes late. Jetblue forgot to de-ice the plane so we missed our takeoff spot and left an hour and a half late. We arrived in SLC over 2 hours late, and then proceeded to wait 20 minutes for an open gate. The entire flight I was seated next to an elderely couple that were making out literally on top of me. When placing my overhead bag, one of the straps were caught in the lock mechanism. Instead of the flight attendant moving my strap and closing the bin, she gave me attitude and told me to fix it myself. 2 hours into the flight i wished to sleep, but my television display was broken. As a result, the brightness of the screen was on the max setting the entire trip. The last two hours of my flight I spent dealing with a headache because the rest of the plane was dark, and the display was half a foot from my face. To top off my horrible experience, the row across from me, and the row in front of me, had a screaming infant which wailed the entire flight long. I will never fly with Jetblue again, and will advise anyone considering it to pick a different airline.
Pros: I liked that I arrived safely albeit it 6 hours later than I was supposed to land.
Cons: Our flight was delayed. We were not told our flight was delayed until an hour before the flight was to take off. Then they kept switching the time we were going to take off later and later then earlier then later and later. It would’ve been nice if we got an updated time that we were going to leave- just say come back in six hours rather than make us get up and get down, board the plane, then get off. and get up again then change gates I could not get any work done. I understand that sometimes schedule can be unpredictable but this was ridiculous. One plane that was supposed to leave after us actually left before us and people were getting upset
Pros: Plenty of room for legs and attention from flight arttendent regarding overhead storage.
Pros: I didn't like much of anything EXCEPT THE FREE WIFI. While it's nice to have all the bells and whistles (free in flight TV/movies, snacks/beverages, etc.), the basics need to be met too - which they weren't.
Cons: I didn't like that the plane was delayed 1.5 hours for no good reason. Why have us sit on the plane in a cramped atmosphere instead of delaying it at the gate first until your ducks are in a row? Then the in-flight entertainment audio periodically cuts out, and they were resetting the TV system over 3 times. In addition, I had requested a price reduction when I booked the flight since JetBlue's website is buggy and the price went up $80 in front of my eyes while other people booked the seat I wanted, and they weren't willing to give me anything.
Cons: It was just a mechanical issue that forced our plane to turn around 2 hours already into the flight, return to JFK, and then wait another two hours to board a new flight to go to PHX. So a planned 10 pm arrival in PHX turned into 6 am. I'm not sure there's anything that could have been done other than checking for that situation before we departed originally (if possible), and maybe being able to land somewhere closer than having to return all the way to JFK. I know JetBlue doesn't have a ton of locations or planes yet, so our options may have been limited. We did receive a $100 credit, but it was a pretty painful flight, basically turning into a red eye after departing originally at 6 pm. Again, I'm not sure if there were any other options, just wanted to report my experience. My flights have typically been on time with JetBlue and I am a Mosaic member. It may have helped if there was better communication back at the JFK airport (knowing it would be two hours instead of thinking we were getting right back on the plane), maybe we could have relaxed in a restaurant or something. It was just exhausting waiting and getting later and later. There isn't an Admirals Club or anywhere relaxing for passengers to wait in a circumstance like that. Thanks.
Cons: cabin crew is arrogant and rude to coach class. They don't even have courtesy to serve water when needed for medical issue
Cons: Normally I don’t complain, but from the jump this flight was a nightmare. I fly JB all the time but this time was not nearly as enjoyable. I asked my attendant 2 times to buy headphones. She never brought them and maybe she forgot but She sat in the front on her phone the whole flight which was just irritating. After being delayed (for no apparent reason) Then having to sit for 20+ minutes because of a “jet bridge that’s too cold” (aren’t these made for the out doors?) this JB flight was less than satisfactory.
Pros: I can’t say there was a single thing that I liked. I suppose if I had like something I would say the pizza I ate before my flight was pretty good.
Cons: I didn’t like that yet again, my flight (to PBI) was delayed for hours and then upon boarding and making it to the runway, was told that I would be getting back off the plane because we no longer had pilots. I think its good that there is a limit for the amount of hours pilots can fly but to leave an entire plane, the last flight out in particular, to have to wait an additional 2 hours to wait for new pilots is a little ridiculous to me. On top of that, I decide that I would rather go get a hotel than wait to fly out at 1am in the morning, I come to find that I will have to leave my checked bag on the plane and go to my hotel, in Boston, in 17° weather, without a coat or my toiletries, my phone charger....everything I would have needed went to PBI without me. Needless to say, this was by far my worst experience flying Jetblue. And to top it off, this was the second time this trip (flying out of PBI to Boston earlier left me delayed for 5 hours) that I felt like what I enjoy about Jetblue was not at all what I receieved. I understand that the holidays are a challeging and busy time for airlines, but it feels like PBi flights are by far the worst and that for some reason, Jetblue flights for PBI to Boston, and Boston to PBI are nightmares. Very disappointed.
Pros: The crew is courteous to us. We had a delay flight but theymade sure that we are all informed and guided.
Pros: miss the flight, plane was at the tarmic, door was not close, supperson supervisor was in the plane but gate was close, person at the gate did not try to contect the supervisor, thats not helpful at all
Cons: Unfair refund policy. We tried to cancel MONTHS ahead of time, upon early departure from our Peace Corps service. I don't feel airlines should have no refund policies starting from the date of purchase. There should be a window for refunds.
Cons: I came 40min prior to my flight and found out that it was too late to check in my bag. I rescheduled my flight for $50 fee to make sure I get in in time for my meeting. When I went inside, I found out that my original flight got delayed and was leaving only 15min earlier than my new flight, which then got delayed for another 45min...disaster. Essentially, I paid extra $50 for nothing. In fact, I would have been on my original flight and gotten to my meeting in time had they not had you are on your own attittude toward customers.
Pros: Excellent service
Cons: Too long flight time I noticed the plane speed was 440 MPH most of the time. This may be the first flight I sat which was flying this slow
Pros: I loved the leg room!!!!! It was wonderful after coming off the AerLingus flight and feeling like a pretzel.
Cons: We had a short span of time between our flight from Dublin. I worried the whole time I was not going to make it since it said doors close at 2:04 and we landed at 1:55 or something close to that. When I got off the plane the gate agent told me AerLingus does theirs differently - that meant that is when they started boarding. It would have relieved a lot of stress if they had explained that. Also, our luggage didn't make it on the flight. Said it was stuck in customs since it did not have enough time. Understandable, but why didn't someone from JetBlue come out and get us instead of making us wait at the luggage terminal for 30 minutes before we went and checked. Also, they told me on the phone that my luggage would arrive at 7 and it came at 4 - luckily I was home. What would have happened if I was not?
Pros: When I sat into my comfortable seat with its amazing leg room, I asked the woman next to me if she had flown Jet Blue previously. She replied that it is now her favorite airline. At the end of the trip I agreed that it is a distinctly different and great airline. My complaint is that I have to travel from NE Wisconsin to Chicago in order to use Jet Blue. When are you coming to MKE? The way the food and drink orders were handled worked well, and the selections were amazing! Needless to say, the media offered was wonderful.
Cons: The crew did a good job, but one of the female staff seemed stressed. I hope she was able to get some relief and rest.
Pros: We didn’t crash.
Cons: First class seat was uncomfortable and had very little padding. Meal service was not good. No drinks offered.
Pros: The crew was great as was the check in crew.
Cons: The comfort of the seat and leg space.
Cons: Less people because of COVID
Cons: I paid $100 for an upgrade on a United which turned out to be the first row, and right beside the rest room (which was erroneously showing as occupied for the first 20 minutes). The traffic made it feel like I was sitting on a bench in Grand Central Station. I chose an aisle seat but ended up mysteriously in the middle seat. I had extra leg room but if I’d eaten the free 5 pretzels I wouldn’t have been able to fit it my seat any longer. The WiFi wasn’t working for the first hour of the flight. The flight attendant got really annoyed when we didn’t look up when he came by with beverages the first time. We all had headphones on and were looking at our personal screens. The activity by the rest room was constant so we didn’t notice it wasn’t just someone waiting for the loo. The luggage took so long to come out I thought my conference would be over before I got it. Overall, I thought it was bad and confirmed why I don’t fly United. Old, dingy planes, poor service. The pilot was pleasant and communicative so there was at least that...
Cons: Serving something substantial to eat would be nice.
Pros: Great take off and landing. My ears were not even plugged up after landing. Great piloting skills by the crew.
Cons: Still in Houston after spending the night. Flight from Boston to SFO WAS DELAYED SEVERAL TIMES and we would have missed our connection to HNL. So we were diverted to IAH, where we spent the night and will leave for HNL soon.
Pros: Non stop . Wife and I were given side by side seats
Cons: Last row
Pros: Professional staff and clean seat with smooth pilot who was not constantly announcing things
Cons: Small seats
Pros: Good. Seating. Not too crowded
Pros: The flight attendants were so nice, and although our flight was delayed and hour and fifteen minutes and our layover was an hour and fifteen minutes, we were able to make our connection! Since our connection to Portland in Denver was the last flight of the night, they were able to hold it for us. This was wonderful because there weren’t many flights out that weren’t booked solid for the next day. The attendants on this flight were great about updating us with information for the connections and telling us when we would land in Denver.
Cons: The plane was delayed over an hour for cleaning. It was frustrating to say the least.
Pros: The flight was short and sweet. However, the customer service rep checking me in at Logan could have been much more friendly. I was bringing my parents lobster from Maine, and I ended up having to check my box of lobster. I have a United Explorer card and a Chase Sapphire Preferred card and I was juggling my luggage and had to sit my money clip wallet on the counter. Since I had cash in my wallet, the customer service rep abruptly told me, “we don’t accept cash.” I have been flying for most of my life and I know that you have to pay for baggage fees with a credit card. This interaction was disappointing to say the least.
Cons: No beverage service.
Cons: flight was delayed
Pros: A very tall, male, flight attendant very wonderfully took me almost all the way from one end of the horseshoe to the other. I didn't catch his name but he was SO helpful.
Cons: My flight was delayed by a few minutes and by the time we got to San Francisco, boarding was almost done for my connecting flight. I had to literally run from one end of the United terminals to the other... the entire horse shoe.
Pros: Entertainment free and plenty of choices
Cons: Not even any free snacks, seats do not recline much at all
Pros: I loved being in economy plus! The meal was a wonderful surprise and after my tv screen was reset, I enjoyed 2 movies. Nice staff and service.
Cons: Having to go to the back of the plane for the bathroom.
Pros: New plane, great service.
Cons: The hot meal was gross, but that's too be expected these days. It was nice to even get one, honestly. In flight wifi didn't work but the crew was great about helping us get in touch with customer service about it.
Cons: Got re-seated into a non-recline, bulkhead exit row. For a tall guy like me that's a death sentence on a 6h flight that's delayed extra at the end of a day
Cons: Inspire of making it clear all through booking, check-in and seat assignment, I was assigned a seat in an emergency exit. I told crew before I boarded that I could not open the emergency exit at assigned seat, due to an injury. I had to board almost last waiting for them to find someone who would take that seat. Then they put me in a non-reclining seat. I was given the wrong free beverage and the crew never came back. So I had nothing to drink on a 4+ hour long flight.
Pros: Free movies on the plane, because of errors.
Cons: 4 hour delays both ways. We missed our connection flight due to delays on the way home. That connection was the last flight out of that airport home. We ended up having to sleep in the airport overnight, because United wouldn't pay to put us in a hotel even though the delay was because of a mechanical error on the plane. Our 5 hour flight turned into a big ordeal.
Cons: Took 3 days to deliver my case. They have daily flights. Very poor.
Pros: We boarded very quickly. Take off and landing were immediate. I wasn't interrupted as I slept.
Cons: The flight was delayed. Ordinarily, a little over an hour isn't bad, but we ended up landing at 1:30 in the morning, local time. I called United expressing concern about the arrival time when I was first notified of the delay and all I was told was "I'm sorry for the inconvenience." I learned later that there was an earlier flight I could have tried to get on.
Pros: The flight was fine once we were airborne.
Cons: The flight was delayed SEVEN times. After boarding, we sat on the ground another hour. We didn't take off until almost 5 hours after the expected departure. Baggage claim took over 30 minutes, as well, which was exhausting after midnight when we were supposed to get in at 8.
Cons: Sat in the middle of two people who took up part of my seat too.
Pros: I liked the comfort that the plane gave. I also enjoyed the fact that the crew was all very friendly and kind.
Cons: There was no music or free tv to watch on flight. There were delays due to high traffic.
Cons: They had flight delay issues and WE got pushed onto a next day flight but WE had to pay for our hotel when it was their planes delayed!
Pros: Took off late but landed on time
Cons: Packed in like sardines. Hot on board.
Cons: Our plane was constantly moved around prior to boarding and it was 2 hours late.
Cons: 1. Comfort: the headrest on these seats is so uncomfortable! It just props your head forward and causes a lot of neck strain. For most short haul flights, this is not a big deal, but it really makes for an unpleasant journey on the cross-country flights. Also, the four-seat middle section is so poorly designed. There is no way to store personal items under seats without invading the space of your neighbor because the metal frame supporting the row of seats doesn't match with the seats themselves. 2. Entertainment: United could not support continuous streaming of movies/TV shows for every passenger. My movie paused and froze so frequently that I gave up on finishing it and then felt like I had wasted my time. The speed and reliability reminded me of trying to watch movies on a dialup connection. It would be so much better to just have the TV screens built into the seats. All in all, United got a bad batch of planes and should try to take this into consideration when working with Boeing/Airbus on the next order.
Pros: Flash for mac did not install
Cons: I felt like I was on my way to my death
Pros: Ease of boarding and security checking bag at gate
Cons: Check in kiosk couldn't scan phone was glad to unload my carry-on and check it for free. Should be encouraged to check 1 bag for free from start for smaller bags. Flight attendant was crabby when I tried to squeeze past into my seat. She kind of apologized by being nicer to me after that. They kind of yelled at passengers to take their seats to take off. I liked United. Too bad about the incident I read about. I was on a flight with no available seats to LA and thought someone had taken my seat. Turns out I was reading it wirong on my phone abd the last seat available was actually mine.
Cons: Crabby flight attendants
Cons: Still at airport. 40 minute flight delayed 3.5 hours. Now I get home at 2 am.
Pros: The flight was bumpy but otherwise pleasant
Cons: There was a rude passenger that yelled at me as I was exciting the flight suggesting that I cut her off as we were getting off the plane thinking that I took her bag. It was outrageous and completely ruined the flight for me. I realize this has nothing to do with the flight but it just made me feel so crumby and attached that I felt the need to share it. Also the leg room was a joke. We barely had any room to move. I probably won't fly coach on united again due to the bad taste it left in my mouth. Unfortunate because it's hub is in chicago.
Pros: The staff was very friendly and accommodating
Cons: There was some sort of mix up with seat assignments two guys had the same seat assignment. The very nice gentleman who was sitting in my seat due this stood and allowed me to have my seat as it was on the isle and I was in boarding group 5 and my seat was all the way at the end by the bathrooms and needed to be able to stretch my legs into the isle. There was absolutely no leg room what so ever. The dude next to me spent the entire trip jabbing me in the side with his elbow so that he could access what little space I did have. I was unable to move my legs because every two seconds the entire plane was trekking to the back to use the bathroom, because while there was a third bathroom on the plane towards the front, for whatever reason nobody seemed to be using it.
Cons: Because United scheduled flights without regard to airport Construction in Boston my flight was changed 3 times and I still missed my connecting flight. After I missed my flight, they refused to schedule me on the next available flight even though people behind me were scheduled because they were preferred customers. They refused to pay for my hotel and the customer service was rude arrogant and dismissive. I will absolutely never fly United again. The crew on the Boston flight to Newark was lovely everything beyond that was absolutely abhorrent. We got to our connecting flight exactly as boarding closed and they refused to let 11 people board. And subsequently, United staff was rude to us saying it wasn't their fault.
Pros: Once flight began it ran quite smooth
Cons: I chose seats when I booked the tickets. So... Not quite sure how both myself and my partner didn't end up seated together, and both ended up in a middle seat sandwiched between 2 overweight people... Are you little people profiling to break up the overwhelming number of big people? another couple with 2 kids were also broken up into distant areas on the plane. I know everyone complains about so many things, and this wasn't the end of the world, but still, it's not ideal. The seating/etc seemed more disorganized than usual for this flight.
Pros: I was so impressed with the captain and flight attendants handling the engine problems we had that sent us back to the gate for maintenance at Boston. They were calm and professional and (as a fearful flyer) I felt confident the captain was absolutely making sure we were safe to progress.
Cons: It was so hot on the plane!!! It would have been awesome if they would have passed out water.
Pros: The crew was fantastic
Cons: I really didn't like how the TVs were running to make you think you could watch whatever you want but then you had to pay. No one is going to pay for such a short flight, it would be really nice to offer it for free.
Pros: The flight attendants were kind and attentative
Cons: Nothing stood out, no one went above and beyond. When boarding, a flight attendant said there was no room in the overhead for my carry on and told me I had to check in my bag. When I finally boarded the flight, there were many empty spaces that could have fit my carry on
Pros: Except for the boarding process, the flight went smoothly, the crew was friendly and I had no problems.
Cons: The boarding process was confusing. I was issued a boarding pass with "see agent" instead of a seat assignment listed. When I saw the United agent at the gate I was told "don't worry we'll find you a seat." I was confused because I felt that I was treated as if I was flying stand by when in reality I booked my ticket in advance. Everything worked out in the end--I was one of the last on the plane but I got a seat and had no issues with finding a place for my carry-on--however, I prefer having an assigned seat to avoid the anxiety of not knowing what is going on during the boarding process.
Cons: Hour delay that made me miss my connecting flight. Customer service agent, Theresa, at the United gate was more interested in checking her cell phone text messages & handing out $10 food vouchers than the long of people who have conflicts with connecting flights or missing events in the destination they were flying to. Every minute lost could prevent customers from obtaining another immediate or comparable flight to their destination. Customer service agent sent those who were going to have problems with their connecting flights to the United Airlines service desk, of which, there were no customer service agents at any of the four available stations. I waited 10 minutes for an agent & no one arrived. When I went back to the original line I was standing in, I was forced to go to the back of the line rather than the place I was originally standing. Therefore I waited in line an additional 20-30 minutes. Once I was served they did not have any more seats available on direct flights to Melbourne. They wanted me to fly to NY, then Sydney & then Melbourne. Additionally the customer service agent did not seem confident this flight was not going to have any hiccups. Worst of all, I had been planning this trip for months & it was ruined by United Airlines.
Pros: Crew friendliness
Cons: Boarding was a mess with an adjacent gate exiting at the time of boarding creating a melee of people crossing queues. You have a carry-on baggage policy - stick to it. I wasn't carrying any roll-ons or large items but many of my fellow passengers were carrying multiple items in the hope of either getting them on or having them checked for free. Complete shambles with later boarders running up and down the aisle trying to fit their carry-ons into overhead lockers. Solution: Enforce one item only; Apply free checked items at the gate early. Apply a fee for items that don't fit and were not offered up for checking.
Pros: The flight attendents were attentive and did a great job.
Cons: Customer service was rude to us about our carry on. It was fine on the way to Boston, but made to pay and check it on the way back. other customers had bags our size but we we're rudely told "you need to go pay for your bag that's it". The bag fit effortlessly in the top on the way there.
Pros: On time boarding, nice crew.
Cons: No free food, not a lot of options of free drinks
Pros: The flight was fast and the crew was nice.
Cons: The boarding took forever
Cons: Had to gate check bag both ways. Flight extremely delayed on way home causing me to miss connection; minimal communication from gate crew. A complimentary drink included a Dixie cup full of soda.
Pros: The crew was courteous and nice. Due to a 2+ hour delay we had free movies on the flight.
Cons: The fact that our incoming flight was delayed more than 2 hours.
Cons: Recently United decided to cancel all of their flights to Denver due to an April snow storm. United was the only company that chose to cancel rather than delay flights. Our flight was cancelled 24 hrs before any snow fell. Their solution was to offer us another flight over 72 hrs out. After spending 6 hrs on the phone with this company (not exaggerating) I feel entitled to say that this company holds zero accountability or concern for their customers. We had to spend an additional $500 to get to our destination last minute through JetBlue.
